MISSING - Sarah Burton - Joplin, Missouri

this is a picture of Sarah Elizabeth Burton there are several pictures there from Joplin Police Department Sarah was missing since July 17th 2018 from Joplin Missouri female date of birth February 22nd 1990 she was 28 years old when she went missing she's 5' 7 160 lbs Sarah had on a purple and white blouse blue jeans and black flats Caucasian female brown hair blue eyes Burton's ears are pierced she has a score on her forehead Sarah she was last seen in job Missouri on that day July 17th 2018 a friend of hers had dropped her off at a service alley near tenth and Rex they ported ways at a business on Range Line Road Burton planned to walk home from there she never arrived the last sighting of her was later that same morning at a residence in Northwest Joplin her friend who dropped her at um I dropped her off there contacted uh Sarah's parents a few days later because Burton had left her purse and one shoe in the friend's car and her parents reported her missing on July 20th she last saw her parents on July 8th uh that was um nine days before her disappearance her father had helped her buy a car they put the tags on it that day however on July 11th she had wrecked the new car in P Pittsburgh Kansas her parents think she may have been afraid to let them know about the accident and she was avoiding them um uh while she tried to figure out what to do Burton had been a good student and placed in a program for gifted students at Japan high school she was a cheerleader but after graduation she struggled with methamphetamines and served a ter in prison on a drug charge she tried to turn her life around after her release but she continued to struggle with drugs and had a troubled relationship with the father of her two young Sons at the time of her disappearance she was living with her parents and they were trying to get her into a long-term drug treatment program she was free on bail on charges of drug possession trafficking and stolen identities and stealing a motor vehicle but she was making all her Court appearances and her attorney thought she might be able to get a suspended sentence her parents don't believe she would have run away because of her legal problems the circumstances of Sarah's disappearance are unclear her son's father was incarcerated at the time of her disappearance and isn't a suspect at all her case remains unsolved um below I have the phone numbers Joplin Police Department's number is 1417 623 3131 if you have any information about Sarah if you've seen anything heard anything please call them and and uh just for a tip you know you can do it anonymously uh her parents you know have been beside themselves they have two young two young grandsons and um it's a nightmare not knowing what happened to to Sarah they put these young babies to bed every night of it it's been six years now six years later and they they still don't have anything they have uh they the reward has in increased to 10,000 it was five they increased it to $110,000 someone to come forward knows anything um in July of 2024 this year this was 6 years later they've had um more than 150 leads throughout the area but nothing new could be verified uh she would be 34 years old now see let's see what else it says about her here um they have I have the the websites of different places if you'd like to go and look and see read up other things they they had went to a property uh a couple times and they thought they had some good leads but it didn't pan out to anything you know anything good um they followed up on it but nothing's been released about it so I guess it wasn't anything of value um so if you if you do it you can even report just call 911 about her you know her disappearance if you know anything but her children ask questions that you know they they want to know where she's at and you know it's just it's heartbreaking it's it's devastating for her family if you have any information please call the number that I gave you uh and and the information is below okay thank you very much thank you for for being here I have others that are missing if you care to look at those it's very much appreciated okay thank you okay byebye
