WORST VMAs PERFORMANCE OF 2024? | LISA 'NEW WOMAN' AND 'ROCKSTAR’

hi everyone I'm Miko and today I'm going to  be talking about Lisa's new woman and Rockstar   performance at the VMAs I believe she slay on  eight but the news media Outlets here in America   have other things to say and it got me riled up  so I have to make this video so let's get right   into it all right so I watched C in real time I  was waiting for Lisa's performance she was the   person I was looking forward to the most and I was  surprised that she came out really quickly because   usually when I'm winning for an artist it's not  till like almost the end and I'm like waiting the   whole show for it but I was pleasantly surprised  that Lisa's performance was pretty early on so I   was happy that I got to jam out a new woman and  Rockstar because I like mostly everyone else has   been obsessed with new woman and Rockstar they're  both so good so Lisa came out in her red outfit   performing new woman first and the way that I was  gag the way that it was such a sleigh I really   enjoyed her outfit I do wish the backtrack was a  little lower but I'm glad that after rewatching it   watching it through MTV's YouTube channel I could  hear her vocals through it so she is singing live   just the backtrack is really loud Lisa slate she  started with new woman and then transitioned into   Rockstar where she ended it off and as the  performance was over I was so happy for Lisa   I feel like she spped played I feel like she ate  like I really enjoyed the performance I feel like   the performance was very American coded like I was  watching all the other celebrities in the night it   really reminded me of how Carol G performed and  also how Megan the stallion performed I feel like   it had the same elements as them a little bit with  them walking around the stage and stuff and also   a little bit of kitty Perry but Kitty Perry went  like all out crazy you know and so I was minding   my own business I was like this performance is  such a sler right and I opened Twitter the next   day and there's headlines that billboard and New  York Post and a lot of other American News sites   are bashing Lisa's performance I'm clicking I'm  like what are people are saying like I didn't find   anything wrong with it I felt like she did her  thing I felt like she slayed and I was so like   in awe that we finally got a new woman performance  so I as many others get intrigued of like what do   they have to say like what could they possibly say  about this performance and so Billboard's article   goes and says all the 2024 B performances ringed  from worst to best and as you scroll down the   first performance at number 16 is Lisa's and this  is what they have to say the black ping member has   proven herself adapt a killer choreography and  eye popping visuals in the past but Lisa's still   has turn at the 2024 V maze felt like a swing and  a miss new woman could have used a little o from   Rosalia and the Rockstar choreography was solid  but never head turning much less showstopping   and I have a lot of things to say about this okay  first of all how is Lisa the worst of the night   because we had Shawn Mendes over here singing  with his guitar doing absolutely [Music] nothing   like he gave the bare minimum just got up on his  guitar and just sing I don't know like there's a   lot of things to like a lot things could be said  about other performers right but billboard what   do you mean Rockstar choreography was solid but  never head turning like are we seeing the same choreography [Music] you like hello are you crazy  and yes if we're talking about the music video   versus the performance the performance missed  out on a lot of the dance parts that the music   video had that were so cool to me but still the  Rockstar choreography is still so good and I feel   like Lisa did the changes and like walked with  the crowd to get like the crowd hype and just   make it more of a performance you know what I mean  like make it more interactive it's how I felt like   why that decision was made for her to be walking  around the stage and I'll be solely focused on the   choreography because we already seen that in the  music video you know but I don't know I feel like   being so unfair in my opinion and also billboard  what do you mean it could have used a little oom   from Rosalia for new woman first of all Lisa  slays I love Roselia too but Lisa slayed her   part in new woman and I don't think the amaz  gave enough time for her to perform the full   song and Rockstar so I feel like it's a lot of  nitpicking and not really much could said cuz   only like the paragraph is this little so like I  feel like they had nothing to say and they just   like put her last just to put her last but  no I feel like billboard number one you're   crazy number two I I don't know I just feel a  little weird that like that you would put Lisa   last and Shawn Mendes at 11 like we have Sabrina  Carpenter as number one which was so good chapone   like I feel like chapone did great right like  to me I had more fun watching LA's Performance   in Chapel Rome like I don't know K's chees was so  good Katy Paris was really good but we expected   that since she was Vanguard like they're  giving her all this time and giving her all   resources for her to do like a big huge  performance you know what I mean so that's to   be expected Megan number eight is really low to me  too I love Megan's performance she a Al so Anita   being second last just shows you how this list is  crazy because Anita's performance was so good and   she did so much like she popped off and did her  thing so billboard chop you're Chopped all right   another one that got me heated was the New York  Post the New York post's article is Vaz 2024 best   and worst moments from Taylor Swift and Eminem  to Sabrina Carpenter and Katy Perry and like I   haven't read everything but like there's some good  takes but also they have Megan the sallan being   one of the worst I haven't read like what they  said about it but that's just crazy but they have   Lisa worse and this is what they said about Lisa  after getting an introduction by Paris Hilton who   threw her catchphrase that's H Lisa was absolutely  not are we looking at the same photo what do you   mean Nots this K-pop singer was more of a cave  flop when to perform with an army of dancers who   couldn't save her from the pure cheesiness that  left us all wondering how she even got the invite   how did Shawn menes get the invite honestly to  the Shawn menes fans if you're watching this I   am sorry but but I don't know I feel like men get  praised for doing the bare minimum and Lisa's out   here giving us a show and they're working it as  one of the worst like hello no like they don't   even have Shawn menz on this list I'm looking at  it like they have a lot of women being the worst   but they don't have Shawn Mendes being on here so  talk about being biased talk about misogynistic   talk about misogyny like there are a lot of women  in the best category but there's a lot of women in   the worst but let's go back for a second what do  you mean left us all wondering why she even got   the invite exhibit a go sitting on a dash she  a rockar make your favorite single want a rap   baby la la Lisa can you teach me Japanese I  said hyp hyp that's my life life baby I'm a [Music] rockar I'm a new give me  that give me the AL yeah give me   that bigger the better feeding you  the B growing [Music] out Exhibit C that's why she got the invite bestie anyway  I just had to make this video because I was   heated like what do you mean you're ranking  Lisa as the worst performance of the night   or one of the worst performances of the night  when she gave us such a good show and I enjoyed   it and she slayed and Lisa keeps being on top  but I don't know Lisa keeps winning her music   is getting all the streams she's doing so  amazing for herself her music video is doing   fantastically and she also won best K-pop of the  night so so Lisa girl is winning but anyway it's   just so crazy like reading like these things and  like seeing other stuff I've seen like I don't   know it makes me feel kind of icky like I feel  like there's some type of like racism in a way   and like you can't even say that like you don't  understand the music because Lisa songs are all   in English like like I don't know like people  are scared of powerful Asian women powerful   K-pop artists it's just absolutely crazy and so  stupid but anyways Lisa a she
