Intro well the Dolphins and knights will do battle next week for eighth position with the dragons and Raiders both praying to the footy guards for a draw in that game or maybe for 100 points Shan Johnson he gets a win in his final game and uh Ron coot is named as the 14th Immortal we'll talk all things rugby league heading into the last round and uh into finals AFL finals are already set Cricket going on at the moment Joe root is good at Cricket confirmed we'll have a look at him compared to the other three members of the Fab 4 and how he's tracking uh certainly the best of the lot over the last three years and poor will poosi announces his retirement uh we'll have a look at the career that could have been for will NFL season about to start it starts Friday our time the Ravens are taking on the Chiefs we'll talk about our Super Bowl and MVP picks Plus have a look at the college football action that happened today eepl is underway or three games in actually uh City are on top and Everton Everton in trouble already and raheim Sterling joins Gunners uh Chelsea paying for a fair bit of that one plus the final round featuring a bit of biffs F1 tennis and golf this is on the SK and Aussie sport Sports podcast we like our Aussie Sports we also like our us Sports we like to have a bit of a laugh and a dribble we have time stamps on YouTube you can skip to the sports that you like or just watch the whole damn thing and we do have uh socials check us out on Instagram Facebook and the like i' like to start the show by shouting a beer Shao who have you got this week I've got a couple but I'm going to start with Cam McCormick uh he scored a touchdown today in college football what's impressive about that it's his ninth year incred after you know having multiple years of extra eligibility through season anying injuries Co period Etc um he first arrived to Oregon with Justin Herber who's now been in the NFL for four years I think uh and that was during the Obama Administration so as a that seemed like a long time ago yeah exactly so he's now he's now at Miami um but yeah he was the first player ever to get his ninth year uh so it was good to see him score um a touchdown today in the opening week of college football he's a tight end as well so yeah I don't know what his NFL aspirations are looking like but he's definitely lived up the college life so how did that actually come about uh season ending injuries how do they decide the eligibility and him going around so many times yeah I'm not not 100% up on college football eligibility but I think you get to do your base kind of four years for you know your college and your degree um if you transfer and or get injuries then you potentially earn an extra year cuz usually if you transfer you have to sit out but they kind of changed those rules in the transfer portal recently but maybe in his first couple of years he might have had to sit out for that process then of course if you get injured and you miss a whole season then they can give you a year back for eligibility and then the bonus for that is they gave extra eligibility through the co period as well so yeah I think combination of all that stuff is how he led to having uh nine years in college football it becomes the Billy Madison of uh of college football uh I'm just having a look here he has been absolutely decimated by injury so 2018 broken left fibula Tor deltoid ligament that's ankle A9 ankle screw malfunction so it sounds like uh one of his surgeries uh they probably had to pull out the old screw and put another one in then he went an an under an ankle Rico in 2020 2021 he tore his Achilles 202 is this all on the same foot as well or I don't know um it's definitely all lower leg so it's it's all ankles yeah well that's right it's all it's all the uh I don't know it says it's left for the top bit some sort of tendonitis ankle pain it actually doesn't say here if that's left or right that one's right foot and then Achilles is right good good eyes so yeah both uh both ankles been through hell then he transfers over to Miami last year H and yeah scored a touchdown today hell he has three previously so yeah season has missed yeah so I had four four previously so today is is touchdown number five after a horrendous run with injury good on your camera certainly worth the beer there yeah and the other one I wanted to do was Harris Burton he won his first Nascar Cup Series win at DOA last week on Monday Monday for us uh what was really impressive about that was his old man Jeff was sitting in commentary he was doing the commentary so was pretty impressive to see their son who you know doesn't have a drive for next year hasn't won a race has been kind of middle of the pack managed to work his way up to the front get it get his first win uh and then you know having your old man who's a bit of a legend on the commentary as well your mom's in attendance and he was uh the scenes of course after after winning such a massive massive race over there so I thought that was pretty impressive and during leading up to that race um they did confirm for us the Australian well actually no kiwi claim in nasar um SVG has confirmed he's got full-time job for next year in the Cup Series so run running exclusively in that so that's be pretty impressive unfortunately him his engine blew up in that race so poor fell but otherwise it was a pretty exciting little race interesting that you're talking about uh Jeff Burton uh commentating for his son Harrison Burton um very reminiscent of the fox sisters we just saw in uh in the Olympics taking home some gold and may get a mention in the podcast for for another reason yes what about you pey yeah I'm going to shout a non-alcoholic beer or if he wants to go to Europe or somewhere where 16y olds are allowed to have a have a beer he can he can have one but he's also got to be careful he doesn't have too many well well he doesn't want to blow out his gout that's for sure old gout gout or young gout gout I should say uh Aussie team track sensation he has just won a silver medal at the under 20s World Championships in the 200 here's a Time 20. six the BLS run uh and he kind of missed the start as well so yeah the winner I think was 2.52 and it's under 20s it's yeah it's under 20s as well so the winner from South Africa I'm assume he was 22 months older he's a fair bit up there we go so so G G's probably going to get to go yeah imagine an 18y old yeah and well he's going to be at the big boy Olympics probably by the time he's 19 or 20 you'd think uh and his 100 time is starting to get low he's run a 1029 so yeah by 1718 you'd hope he's uh he's running sub 10s yeah and like you said the highlights of this that back half of that race um he was sitting like eighth after the start when they turned the corner and he just put the Jets on and really close the distance so yeah bright future there for for Australia Athletics to get a running medal would be quite impressive for us yeah male sprinting mhm jeez it's not in our lifetime no I don't think no we' had a few guys try it definitely definitely yeah no one's uh really even remotely been in metal chance you know what's crazy as well 16 brisban he'll be 24 that's he's going to be he's going to be prime for Brizzy and uh we'll see how he goes in La it's pretty rare I think for 20 20y old to to medal in the 100 meters but uh yeah Brizzy watch out yep all right monks uh who you got yes uh I have got uh Otani uh so he's the first player ever to hit the 43 home run 43 stolen bases in a single or same season uh beating the A- Rod of not tripping on iasa fame um who did it back in 1998 he got 4242 for the season so um yeah massive props to Otani there just going year on year just improving on all the accolades that he's already accomplished um in the MLB yeah we don't talk heaps of baseball on this show I don't watch a whole heap uh but every single time we talk about baseball it seems we're talking about sh atani so it's pretty incredible been yeah what's been going on obviously the the huge back-ended deal that he signed uh last year and then we're talking about him a few months ago for some unfortunate reasons having to do with a friend or ex-friend and gambling and whatnot but probably ex-friend now possibly uh um a translator it was wasn't it yeah that's it yeah but seems that it's not really affecting his play on the field that's for sure no definitely not um in saying that he's cloring back some of that money that he's lost over the years he signed a a new deal with the trading card company tops M um so you're just bringing in more and more cash does it say how much that deals worth uh no it's did that I could see no yeah just yeah probably just and exclusive rights for whatever he does yeah no dollar value yeah no dollar value there breaking news show bulk coin making dollars yeah shock um and with I don't know how far into the season they are but by all accounts it looks like he's aiming for 50/50 so it'd be yeah massive accomplishment yeah so he's just going to shatter our records yeah where are we for start of September so they've probably got a couple weeks left are they into their playoffs no I don't think they've started playoffs yet' be a month away from that how I wonder how it works as well does it have to be regular season like do they count the playoffs good question good question get at us in the comments if you know baseball um from Shad beer over to some horrendous news coming out uh over the states over the weekend uh Ice Hockey Star Johnny gdo uh and his brother Matt were killed by suspect ected drunk driver um obviously horrendous for anyone to die on the roads the circumstances on this one the day before their sisters wedding um and the obviously the wedding got postponed to let them all grieve and and process the news and uh a big one obviously for for hockey fans losing uh losing a a current NHL player um so horrendous uh news there we don't again much like baseball talk heaps of hockey there but uh yeah saw this come out Friday night and was with some mates that are into their hockey and uh obviously knew the name and um yeah horrendous scenes thinking of uh of that whole family uh but from one um crash to another crash what happened in the in the F1 this was a bit more lighthearted yeah they had the safety car out doing laps in in practice uh I think it was fp1 and uh he just coming a bit hot to the corner and lost the back tires and slid off hit the gravel and on hit the gravel doesn't really slow down too much and got smashed straight into the barrier so what kind of speeds are we talking about here with how fast is the safety guard he can do some decent decent uh kilometers so he was probably booking it probably 150 170 down that straight in that in that corner that is a lot quicker than I thought yeah all the it's got to move like it looks slow compared to how the quick the F1 cars go but yeah for for comparison to a normal Road car it was definitely moving yeah and he they've gone flying into the wall and had to cancel the session essentially luckily everyone was okay it was just you know it's very rare you see a safety car having having an accident have you guys ever seen you guys watch lot more I think maybe some breakdowns but yeah I don't think you seen any fly off into the walls um like that definitely not in recent times uh give was a top speed there this blowing my mind top max speed of 202 mph Jesus yeah 360 km hour 30000 so [ __ ] fast y yeah so yeah what one really tragic crash uh over the weekend and one slightly less tragic uh we'll talk a bit of F1 later in the show yep yeah all right boys uh let's talk some rugby leagy Jimmy can you check your internet on your phone your Wi-Fi uh we'll we'll chat we'll see how this is going in terms of the stream but when we're listening back Cowboys 38 beat the storm 30 at Queensland Thursday NRL Round 26 and 14th Immortal night uh it was a storm not quite reses but cly the 1.5s so they rested Jerome Hughes Harry Grant Warrick Nas Kwa leero and a few more but they forced monster to play well injur it's injuries so Penh has and moner coming off massive injuries to get some running their legs etc etc um but yeah the storm couldn't quite get that one done and it means Cowboys uh can finish fifth they can't finish fourth I don't think from having a look at the ladder before uh prala points difference too good even if they do have a loss next weekend uh but yeah Cowboys home elimination final is certainly looking likely you feel sorry for whichever Sydney team runs into him up there yes could be the Dolphins uh Friday night Manley beat uh the Bulldogs 34-22 uh that was dce and Garrick steering them to Victory there um manly do play Sharks next week and dogs Cowboys so some interesting uh permutations could certainly happen for the top eight yeah it was prettyy interesting with this game with how say red hot the the dogs had been leading into this um but yeah bit flat yeah they're definitely a little bit flat they scored first I believe in this um from what I remember watching Reed man and uh then after that yeah I think turbo kind of as turbo does puts him on her back uh Cy Tri assist and a few scores himself so uh manly was a little bit of a Dark Horse when they you just know Manley's going to show up week in week out do you yeah well a lot of it depends on injuries as well 100% when they're all fit and ready to go I wouldn't want to run into them in you know finals time uh you look at that points difference as well probably that speaks volumes to it 13 wins one draw nine losses but points difference 133 uh so pretty handy uh and can score a few points that's for sure Friday night penth bait sou 34-2 at Blue bet um no Nathan clear obviously uh has been injured since the last pod little shoulder subluxation there looks like he'll be right to go um they'll probably want him back in in a fortnite for yeah I I I think they want to win you know go deep and win the Grand Final they're going to have to have Nathan clear otherwise yeah sooner rather than later Stormer heavy favorites I don't think anyone the others have to be healthy otherwise Tom will run away with it having said that J Lei has shown time and time again this season that he's very good without Nathan clear that's obviously been one of the monkeys on his back in recent memory and is pretty good in this one too uh so yeah look to go week one they're not going to get knocked out um and they'll have a home final maybe maybe they can beat the TRS or um or sharks wherever they they run into there at home but yeah by the time they're running into melbour you'd certainly want Clary fit and ready to go exactly few story lines out of this one uh you know for the wrong reasons uh we'll start with Latrell which was just the leadup into the uh the week uh White pow photo last weekend Snapchats um few few people in the media's names uh getting thrown into it there it's all unconfirmed anyways uh how it eventually uh ended up getting leaked uh but certainly appears to be uh ingesting substance uh find 20 grand misses a game yeah I think that was anal F I think souths find him extra but okay so cop double whm yeah double Wy for that but yeah I guess you know being at a coaching Clinic having to deal with other people's kids all day you might need a little pick me up so but if you're going to do that do it with people you trust yeah live on Twitch yeah video it for Prosperity sake hey look that's NRL I don't I don't particularly find it news uh obviously media is going to have a field day one of the biggest uh stars in the NRL and one of the biggest uh players at media like to bash as well I'm not condoning it uh I'm just not surprised yeah exactly it's you know still illegal but you know we we know as we know across the NRL and the AFL um it's yeah something that they like to dabble in uh something that was interesting here as well Friday Night Freddy doing the rounds for the wrong reasons I don't know if the' had such a palpably awkward moment in live TV that I can remember in recent memory yeah not recent you haven't seen it check it out uh Freddy on camera middle uh between Jess Fox and N Fox uh who have just come home uh with three gold medals between the two of them from the Paris Olympics yep uh and was trying to just break the ice make a joke [ __ ] missed on all accounts something regarding kiss cam uh Jess's face in particular quite funny she just like oh my God and then they realize it's live yeah uh so I think Freddy knows it's live I don't know if the girls do check it out for yourselves it's it's awkward it's very awkward very creep fre should know better all right boys uh let's go into Saturday a massive uh day in terms of finals implications and just in terms of points and weird uh scenes in rugby league yeah strange strange old game in Western Sydney we got uh the first one of the weekend a very frustrating game for two dragons fans here on the panel M uh dragons go down 40 points to 44 at combank Stadium uh in a game that was horrendously one-sided for 70 minutes and then very unusual for the last time uh a few Howers early on from ralow uh back in the side after missing a fair bit I think tup palotto uh uh had a hammy maybe uh he was a late out anyways raval comes in not his best uh his fij and opposite micho looking very very good he I think 2 meters out from the line is probably the hardest man to stop in rugby league there's a few that come to mind but uh just bump and Bloks and the strength that he has to finish is incredible uh that first of his hattick was his 100th try uh it doesn't actually feel like he's been in the league all that long I think I was having a look at 2019 I believe uh that he that he come in can you chase that up maybe 2018 um it's not that long so the fact that he's got 100 uh and has actually missed a fair bit of 43 injuries incredible um Dylan brand very good early on as well try three TR assist 175 odd run meters and per LED 26 at the half and 44 to2 in the 70th minute I actually cracked the shits at about 60 I was like [ __ ] this this is our season we're playing a team that's coming dead last so win I'm going for a run so I was out there running and listening to music and I just had the text coming through and I checked my phone I thought what in God's name has happened here 44 to 40 um some poor kicking probably for par as well made a bit closer than it needed to be but there was five tries in the last 10 minutes watching the KO mini today 70th minute 73rd 77 78 80 elect to um not take the conversion at the end to try and get the ball back they get it off the uh off the kickoff one last dice roll uh but weren't able to go length of the field uh so Matt F ends up with Hatty Sloan double and pretty good in that one um dragons will get to him in just a second did you find C deu there it's 2019 2019 y it's incredible so 114 games 102 tries he has now uh it's a pretty handy strike rate he is 30 so he's not going to be breaking any TR scoring records but yeah when they um when they said 100 tries I was like geez that's feels like it's happened pretty quick yeah and it has uh dragons fan next to me thoughts losing like that to par yeah is I missed the first half I'm glad I did yeah you you you watch the right half yeah yeah that's it um I I mean yeah look what do we where do we place him at the start of the Season yeah that's well that's yeah that's a good good way to do it and it's probably the way that I've been thinking of last few years like last year I was like the goal is not to get the spoon yeah did a great job in there yeah yeah and then just gradually just build up hope and now I'm thinking oh gosh I'm gosh we're going to make the we're going to make the top eight it's dragons haven't made the top eight M Miko's career yeah that's very true so you know and just getting the hopes up and for to be that flat in a in a must-win game yeah yeah before the canala game last week they were like a $150 to make the top eight they all they had to do was was was they could lose a canala or beat canala that would have been good uh go out and beat the team coming last and the Raiders have actually come pretty good there they had a half decent run home yeah yeah exactly but looking at it I was like this this is doable this is doable now we'll get into the nitty-gritty of it in a second it's it's essentially impossible yeah no that's it especially yeah again kind of going back to how they started the season and how bad they were playing um and they picked it up in the middle of the Season got on that good run and then yeah sort of just gone back to back to form I suppose I think uh when yeah youan pointed out the other day that um the Broncos would probably get in I was like looking at I'm like yeah that's actually a possibility yeah well they need beat the fins of course yeah that's before before the game this weekend but just looking at the um the run home and just the way the form of the teams is yeah yeah inred incredibly frustrating I feel they have been a little bit banged up towards the end of the year but it's a Rugby League season most teams are MH um and for them to just not get off the bus in the first half an hour there was a couple things that didn't go their way which may and I'm not I'm not going to blame referees or or anything when you're getting Dred like that which maybe in in terms of morale you know when they went at half time think [ __ ] I don't think we're actually been 266 down bad like they had one dislay try for a blatant obstruction fair enough uh one which I thought looked like a try where it got ripped out uh and they ruled it was a rake into F and therefore knock on so there was a couple like within 10 minutes so it could have been a bit closer than 266 yeah but yeah it was just disappointing as a dragons fan who is going to cogo next week to watch the Raiders game uh and then and it doesn't matter draw draw is not impossible yeah well the fact is they won't know because they play first they have to win and then you have to go watch and bring your popcorn and hope for a draw yeah yeah that's it uh let's talk some dolphins and uh Brisbane in the Battle of Brisbane yeah another teams that had their season on the line and get off the bus yeah brisman got absolutely hammered they did have Adam Reynolds back for this but even still the fins were just too good the hammer was electric as usual right he's so good yeah and Herby fth um fth you know against their former team there against the big brother in the Broncos um put him the sword so that as well um Wayne Bennett made some last minute changes to the lineup as well so probably a bit of smoke played center didn't he yeah he played center yeah so which is interesting because we've like spoken all year um about is Trey full Enough full good enough to wear the one on his back they play like they did last night yep it's interesting as well with like Queensland and have a playing Center uh I I think yeah have your best play play fullback but maybe Trey full has just good enough to for his way ex they don't have another Center that's um feels that kind of need that they want Hammer can you know be very good there and then they have a better option at fullback so I guess they're playing the best five in the backline is what they're going with who went down it must have been CA so again yeah this is obviously forc their hand so avillo goes to six oh Sullivan goes to seven Hammer had one on his back goes to centers Fuller who's had the 20 on his back goes the fullback so obviously not planned K was on the on the bench ah so was like this master plan where it's almost like he knows something about would that's pretty crazy as well given how good Kar has been this year as well he's still so young yeah so he's going to be a really good talent uh FW Worth's numbers 287 run meters two tries two TR assists and Hammer's uh had 205 run meters two Tri and a tri assist Hammer doesn't look like he gets out of fourth gear sometimes as well on some of those Sprints and then he realizes like someone's chasing him he's like oh [ __ ] catch me later yeah um just Hing the other team out chase him down it's crazy did you guys see the S bin the KUSI s bin it didn't matter because dolphin scored whilst he was in the bin yeah uh quote unquote late shot on Adam Reynolds Reynolds gave him a bit of a spray on the way off yes slowo never looks as good as live uh watching it live I was like this is one of the softest in bins I think I've ever seen again it was one of those ones where it's was kind of falling into it wasn't it yeah and the H well again if you get someone a little bit hot you can't blame the fact that he's short and you're tall I suppose yeah uh but he dropped Reynolds had dropped the ball as well uh anyways it was R to INB it didn't affect the game at all it's just an interesting uh tidbit I suppose as to where the game is at the moment uh speaking of interesting tidbits it's three consecutive years that the previous years runner up uh misses the top eight so you go to interesting play penth and lose a grand final and then watch the following Seasons [ __ ] go to [ __ ] W essentially yep uh so we'll see uh if if it is a penth storm grand final this year it'll be interesting if that does happen I got a feeling it won't if it's very interesting um how did dolphins go well I suppose probably looking too far into the future now but next season um after a performance like that off the back of probably Wayne's coaching how how do we look to see how they'll go next season it's a good question and we can link it here I think to the minor premierships over the last 10 years how we've seen this domination uh from three clubs penth Melbourne roosters uh penth obviously done very well converting them into into premierships recently uh storm a little bit before that and TRS have got a couple themselves I think in that era uh I think it's just the sharks that have W in 20 uh 16 and going back yeah actually can you get Grand Final winners as well uh I think in the last 10 years it is just them Cowboys 2015 Cowboys and sharks regardless uh the most there's been three clubs that have been really really super consistent okay uh and then we look at the coaching and you got Bellamy you got clear and take the St take the storm team this year it's not a good team on paper yeah like half of them are no names and and all the big guys have been injured like py didn't play half the year moner didn't play half the year Hughes has been in and out of the squad Harry G's probably been the consistent one no Hugh has played he but but he's also he's missed a couple games through injury as well so and a time when they didn't also have monster but yeah the minor premies but yeah you're right you look at and we did I remember doing this in March and looking at it and being like yeah they'll make the top eight but they you know they can't do much with this squad they can't do much with this Ford pack yeah they got a good spine yeah we said that uh and lots of things come down to spine but yeah especially healthy and all together like yeah again they haven't had that that complete spine until recently yep so and like you said you know Grant and Hughes missed a couple games here and there but they've played most of this season without monster and pyh and still brain it into first place yeah I think if if the NRL ever does Like A Hard Knocks to the NFL just being in that storm building be would be so interesting just how they can just you know find these guys on the rough and polish them into absolute diamonds and um and then yeah keep doing it yeah that's right just what what magic is Bellamy sprinkling over them to turn them all into Mega Stars at the start of the year you said to me uh Trent liero will be in the Queensland Squad he didn't play and no disrespect to Trent leero but uh you know he's been made into this really polished player same with CA same with Boro like heapes of their forwards that we looked at them on a name basis at the start of the year like I just get I think it's discipline is probably where a lot of discipline they just is like we do high percentage we eliminate errors we make sure we stay within their system and they just obviously just worship B was like what he says we will do we will follow it like gospel and go out there and do it every single week and it's drilled into them so yeah I've to actually see that getting applied see an offseason I would be very interested in shout out if you're listening Dolphins did it with Wayne as well at the start of the year uh and back to the original question monks now I don't think it bodess well for you losing one of the best crushes of all time well we I wanted to touch on that as well cuz once they announced that South's deal uh the fins went on a big skid so there's a lot of talk about you know is Wayne kind of too focused on he's supposed was involved in the recruitment for next year you know they had all the questions about what's happening with Latrell Etc as well with his injuries and then also very recently the other transgression so you know he's got one eye on South and one IE missing on fins uh but they've managed at least to get a couple wi here to to write the ship because yeah it was uh a bit dire there because they were top four yeah they and had a big slide yeah I think there's a few things at play here injuri yeah injes they [ __ ] decim like one of the worst teams in terms of coping injuries this year uh I think playing finals football is going to be massive even if it's just they they finish eth and they go and lose the dogs or or Cowboys yeah so be it to make finals in your second year is massive and we talk about spines uh and and youth you know Hammer baby Fuller does play into it K is young as anything Jeremy Marshall King a bit older than others but still pretty handy uh they've got the spine there so if if they can sort of go off the back end of of the older forwards career and then do some good recruiting for some younger you know middles and edges yeah I think the next 5 years looks pretty pretty good for him having said that have the dragons made the final since he left since Bennett yes they've made finals they haven't done anything think yeah cuz I was I was like I think I was going to say this Newcastle probably kind of be the same boat as I think I think again back to Newcastle have I think they've made the finals uh well no they they definitely have because they they made the finals last year last year um but again they haven't done gone to a GF or or gone deep y yeah so the Bennett leaving effect uh certainly leaves big holes at clubs and we've seen we've seen that that first hand with the dragons but yeah good little uh good little tangent got got into talking as well about the dominance of those teams 1 2 3 we'll look at that later in just a second uh let's uh let's talk about the W getting a win in Shawn Johnson's final game 30 to 28 at points bet Stadium uh big second half comeback uh I didn't watch much of this has caught a little bit of the KO uh mini this morning um yeah Sean Johnson he was pivotable in this one H put DW z d at one teens lesnak in three times including the winner with 30 seconds to go he also uh bagged his under the try uh playing a little bit longer than SEO but a couple BLS getting 100 tries he he he looks like he could play multiple set seasons if he wanted to but I think yeah oh yeah yeah he doesn't look like he's slowing down but I think he's kind of content he's had to deal with injuries for the last few years I think last year was probably their real big run um and yeah with the injuries in the age kind of ping up I think he's like I'm content I've done everything the co era yeah dominated with new so um I don't think he can ask for much more in a career so I think he's quite happy I think being a yeah you can't underestimate the toll that being away from your extended family yes you know spouses and things were allowed in the bubble and whatnot but yeah being forced to go away for a long time and being really locked down has uh and you know we saw it last year with the Warriors going back to their home home crowds and [ __ ] gameing out pandemonium just going mental so I think that probably plays into it monks you've got his stats up there he turns 34 this week um so yeah it's it's pretty incredible uh what he's achieved without maybe going to that next level uh do you want to run us through maybe games played y uh for both sharks wies and Kiwis yep sure so yes he played 268 games MH um fittingly versing kenel he played 44 games for crel between 2019 and 2021 uh scored 85 tries uh and how many points is 1476 points so that's probably top 10 as well for for points scored you chase that up and 30 32 games for New Zealand and that's where my question sort of goes is is where does he rate few boys amongst K players oh well interesting I had to think about this he might be number I think Benji I think Benji you can probably argue has had a better career the Grand Final makes a massive difference I think for Benji if you think about W guys um Stacy Jones is St Jones comes to he was also up there yeah played in his own win as well um but obviously I'm I'm talking about uh New Zealand born play just just keywe players in general not necessarily warriors uh hard Gres I guess yeah yeah JW you got to throw him in there um yeah I was thinking about I was thinking is this three-way tie and as well like recency buyers for us being younger fans there probably a whole bunch of you know fans from the 80s going I [ __ ] it may me another 5 kwis that should be up there uh but yeah I think for mine uh I think I had him two under under Benji Marshall Y and that was just pondering it for few seconds yep uh it's 23rd not even close to top 10 time yeah there's a few I was going to say cuz Cameron he was over 3,000 so he's over 3,000 yeah I think I think 86 yeah almost 3,000 there you go must not include finals no I'm pretty sure that does yeah that's all of it yeah I just knew he was close to 3,000 and kroo would almost got there any KS above him there Daryl hallan will be like oh actually but again I I don't think you can argue that Daryl haran was a better footballer than uh than Benji or SJ yeah nearly all Aussies up there yeah Luke B Aussie Michael Gordon Aussie shoski Fitz Gibbon langin J L Keith Bar Nathan clear's already what is he 20th offord SJ so from a points scoring perspective he's he's two on that list yep y for kiwis for kiwis yeah now again obviously points don't translate to how good you are at rugby league uh also 2014 he got the Golden Boot for the world best player um also played and probably should have had a delm last year yeah so delium runner up 2011 runner up with the Warriors I think there's some pretty like when we're looking at resumés never won a GF no delm I I don't think you can say he's the greatest or maybe even I don't know people maybe push back in saying that he's a top three kiwi of all time I think many people are going to push back and say he's you can't doubt the talent yeah and early on we're talking you know if we're talking about maybe the best K player of all time in Benji y who the [ __ ] did SJ say you know oh look it's like Benji again it's Benji again yeah uh yeah you got the current New Zealand team there Joey Manu by the end of his career [Music] maybe get at us in the comments if uh if you think we're we're missing anyone I think uh I think Ruben Wiki uh had an incredible career scroll down a bit there for us monks I'm not going to know a whole h of names from 1907 yeah I don't think Ruben ever messenger actually 96 did he play some for New Zealand or maybe all of his career for New Zealand no just some so he8 yeah that's interesting so he played two games for New Zealand and nine games for Australia you learned something new on the esy boys read that thing when did he move to Australia he under 13 I don't think we have the time personally uh I don't think anyone would laugh at you if you said he's up there H with the best kwis of all time I think you probably would get laughed at if you said he's the best kiwi rugby league player of all time but kudos to him uh an excellent career and uh yeah I I think I'll probably have him without doing much research too yep Knights 36 Titans 14 uh the Knights win this game so pretty much fins versus Knights is an elimination final next week yep uh they draw and the winner of the dragons and Raiders uh can go through uh essentially that's the only options there well there is the mathematical option but yeah it's 120 points so no well well if the Knights win close it gets it down to 80 but yeah still M yeah so what do we need here you I'm trying to entertain you here so if they one so you but you want you know you need the knights to to and win more than that you want them to you want but you don't want them to improve their points difference yeah you need the knights to win to win TR improve their points difference yeah uh yeah that's true cuz if they improve it then you can't catch them exactly I was thinking win by one and then points it's around 80 points that's going to happen the going to win by like 90 but you know have a bit of a handshake on it and be like bro let's uh you know who who wants to win this all right we let in 80 I can't believe we're Wasted this but draw draw you know for that game which which is not impossible not impossible but yeah there was a draw recently like a couple weeks ago so it does happen but yeah it's seems like it'll be Finn's Knights plan out for eth and um the will play Raiders in we'll play them first uh we'll need to have massive scores to even be considered but we need a draw to sneak past and still eighth so yeah season's probably done for dragons and Raiders very interesting how the season turned out and you've got those four teams playing against each other yeah and very interesting the different situations that these two teams have put themselves into letting into that game next week with the dragons essentially just imploding and the Raiders going out and beating roers and P the before remember 3 weeks ago I was like byebye like Cowboys put at that draw and I was like T yeah and then they won both those games yeah so and again that for them going into next year they got to think [ __ ] like we can beat these teams on our day we just got to play a bit more consistent footy yeah speaking of which uh they did play The Roosters today without foggy um Sam Walker likely ACL I think they said confirmed confirmed yeah and then the cheese was m not as IND as mes as per first report uh Nate butcher got hi he's probably going to miss next week as well rapana fractured cheekbone so he's done in the NRL probably as well with the Raiders he won't play next week for the Raiders and he's going uh to the Super League next season so his NL career likely done um but yeah Roose is a bit wounded uh penth you know missing Nathan clear and storm getting healthy leading in the finals is all Bs well for Melbourne yes it definitely does um leading into the last round of the NL that's semy Walker one was devastating uh had a partial so didn't have surgery l in the off season he been been playing with it mostly all year had it taped up for most games and yeah just a little knock really and I think the attrition of the Season as well I was watching the mechanism back I was like that doesn't look like an ACL yeah um and then comes out confirmed ACL that thing was probably Holding On by not a whole lot uh I think was third or fourth in Tri assists um on the year as well so he's had a good year man he's been a big part of the Ro's success exactly so with him missing yeah is going to ask some serious questions like I think Conor Watson probably they're going to want to get him more involved um because that's how they have been playing without him he kind of plays six and K in the seven um but yeah whether that can uh win you comp is going to be a challenge yeah as well they four pack still excellent yeah and you probably have to think about the rehab timing of it obviously it's a sh you never want to do your ACL the the timing of doing it in September is even more [ __ ] house uh but if he smashes his rehab could be good to go for the last couple rounds and finals next year uh but then as well they have to be there without him um so yeah horrible horrible news for for Sammy and uh and for TRS fans uh it'll be interesting to see how they line up uh through the finals without without semi Walker we've spoken about it here on the Pod before with uh you know dce starting to get a little bit long in the tooth uh uh you think AO parent yeah you'd say for the Maron uh you'd think Sammy Walker is probably the their guy leading leading forward did you have tcis up there where yeah Tri h four sorry four Ben 28 go down Scotty drink water 24 Dr Hugh 23 Sammy Walker 21 pretty sure that hasn't been updated cuz um I think Ben's at 30 32 cuz um yeah he might he had a few from the other game yesterday the tcis is annoying as well because nrl.com often reports it differently to Sports reports it as so so dumb like go through it just should be one thing it's the most rug League thing ever was leading goals as well yeah so yeah yeah and that that was actually the difference in that game cuz um kir kicked two missed them both and hasn't kicked one in a while and didn't kick one all season so still on the donut still on the donut unfortunately for him H Raiders uh next year they will certainly know that they can beat good sides uh just very young team as well yeah exactly all right Ronnie Co monks what do we got there uh can you give us games played for Southeast and then new southr why why is rny coot important 14th Immortal there you go yeah a lot of speculation us young morons didn't even consider her we well we spoke we spoke about if there's someone coming from the 80s is it going to be sterlo or uh you know who who's who was good enough then to deserve of it did we mention the name Ron coup I don't think we we did but when they announced it I was like oh yeah we're so dumb yeah well I think we were thinking you know 2000s onwards like maybe all smoking mirrors from the NRL to say we're changing it from 3 years to 5 Years cuz when they did that I was like it's going to be and then it just it just makes sense that you do this when guys are still alive so they they get you know the cuz doing it postly is lovely for the families but the like with all respect you know the guys that have died they don't know that they're an immortal yeah and you look at it as well you know probably the next lot of going to be dominated by queenslanders in that that period as well they don't do it now they know yeah whether it's announced in 2024 or 2034 or 2044 yeah you know Cameron Smith and Billy slider in there if you want Darren's probably going as well so yeah I think those guys are you know over the next 10 years they'll be the dudes that they're getting in and yeah they should you know touch would they should all be very good and be healthy and alive at that point whereas Ron could um a lot older is in comparison so yeah and Rodney could go out and live another 30 years and say [ __ ] didn't have to do it early for me now uh but yeah I think it it makes sense well he's 79 so9 medicine yes uh anyways uh Ron and and talking to the old boys straight away he was like oh yeah he like changed the way that the lock position was played um was Elite um and was no surprise to him so just us dumb idiots that it too young and the rency B played into it weren't even born then so and what do we know but that is also that's a good point because it makes it hard to compare because when you're just looking at Stats and you're just looking at oh this is what this is what Steve mortimer's numbers were and this is what sterlo's numbers were and this like it's hard to look at someone's numbers and that's what we're about to do now with yeah and without watching them week in and week out having an appreciation for how good they are exactly take them out out of context but if you wouldn't mind mon uh games played Southeast New South Wales Australia done so yeah first house he played 148 games scored 48 tries um from lock from Lock yep didn't score any points come on uh or sorry goals rather uh for East he played 109 uh scored 39 tries um was at East um the when the South rers play each year they play for the Ron coot cup so just absolute legend for both of those clubs um as well as NL for New South wals he played 15 games scored six tries and he played 23 games for Australia scoring 13 so was that almost 100 tries um yeah NRL level uh I think it's 87 yeah yeah yeah yeah uh and particularly the way that the game was played then as well um I think as well really change way tackling um and cover tackling was was done so back in the day when they used to have real scrums as well swinging arms well getting out from Lock and being quick and then chasing down a center or whoever has the ball uh and that round the legs you know top tackling uh I think he he was a big proponent of um of that y uh and yeah interesting uh as well that he's so revered by both clubs uh there's no one really I think that that like Ron coot is so uh involved in in the law of both south and east yeah uh also won six premierships nine grand finals then when we talk about resumes I think that n appearances we just talking about SJ not having it and you know it's again it's a team thing no one individually brilliant player uh can can go out and say oh yeah won six premierships like he's obviously in some good teams uh but when you're looking at resumes it certainly helps yeah it's adds that that Tom Brady effect is like we like to talk about but yeah it does yeah you know winners like to win and it kind of proves it so good on you Ronnie coot um the 14th Immortal and only in Australia will you have uh someone whose name is Australian robing slang for having sex being highly revered and one of our Immortal footy players i' be interesting AFL All-Australian 22 to see when they do the next lot it's probably going to be four or five years till we hear about it again yeah well I think with the revamp it might be more regular you know it would be nice if they did one every year yeah like the old hands would be like no that's not what it's about blah blah blah but the game's growing you know if if it was because like the NFL there will be a massive backlog if you don't yeah but but I think that's the Hall of Fame so I reckon we probably get Hall of Fame every year and then maybe Immortals is like every two kind of thing yeah or just make a bit more rigid yes structure yeah exactly would love it to be structured NRL is investigating a plan to revive the extinct National Youth competition uh I think it's important uh for the for the game and for you know when you think of penrith and all these guys playing footy for not all of them but a lot of them espe especially from that first Grand Final winning team having come through the Juniors and played under 20s together uh I think it's massive for the NRL uh what's uh what's the go with this well I I think that's exactly it there looking at that young Pathways again having that set up because cuz I think and it being again a more national competition than what we got at the moment which is you know New South Wales Cup and the Queensland cup you know those guys kind of playing against each other playing within the states and then playing a finals Grand finals day against you know each each one and um but they have I guess all the tiers some of the you know the reserve grade guys the guys that are over 21 kind of playing that sort of system but you know but then you have New Wales cup and Queensland Cup teams that have got 21 plus guys filling out the spots so you know I guess it's just again a Pathways we see how young a lot of these super talented guys come into the NRL um you know may be instead of getting game time in the reses maybe getting more game time in a more comparable um setting and then also building what you're saying building some chemistry with guys that they will most likely come through the system as and play with together uh in into uh then or El so I don't see a reason why not I always wondered why they got rid of it in the first place I think travel experien was a I think it was cost uh but you I guess most clubs you know they've got the roster of 30 they're going to have a bunch of young guys again if they've got extra opportunities to have young guys playing in a competition that they can also support then and with the amount of money I think the League's been making recently it makes sense to bring it back and then hopefully get more young people get more Juniors and then you feed them into the NRL and again have a better product overall imagine the uh vision for say 2040 uh or 2035 let's go 10 15 years in in the future imagine that League's got enough money where you rock up to a game and there's a under 21's game there's a women's game and there's a first grade game bang bang Bang Yeah I remember going to Ra's game and the Ra's game was late in the afternoon and you had down to 20s then you had the the reserve grade side and then you had um camera actually playing you can sit there and watch it all day watch rugby league from :00 in the morning and and that's often how it still works but often times it's they're not playing the team that they're about to play cuz they're playing you know it's a New South Wales Cup game going on yeah or or whatever is is is on uh so I think long term it makes a lot of sense we keep talking about the TV deals that the nrl's printing money at the at the moment I think it be important and I think the other thing is uh if you're going to add another three clubs potentially you need to need the pathways for young players yeah to to get into build out those squads um especially cuz it's it sounds like it's all about confirmed for this Western Australian side it sounds like the government's confirmed the PNG so looks like we have at least those two and we think the next New Zealand makes the most sense it's probably number three so uh I think it's all on the cards so by 2032 you could you know in the next eight years we'll have a 20 Team league and yeah that means you got to find another 90 odd guys um to be able to fit on the rosters so and a good good way to do that is a strong Youth Development system ex exactly especially you know we sort of crept into our group chat recently but it's always there uh the fact that the NRL doesn't have a draft and we could do an hour episode on on that uh but yeah if you if you're not going to have that Pathways Juniors exactly into I think a 20s or 21s comp uh nationally and televised I think is uh is important moving forward yep all right from one code that's doing really well to one that's not doing great but this will be good for Aussie rugby fans horrendous conditions over there in uh buis Aries in terms of wet weather footy uh but they did come away 20 to9 uh winners Jake Gordon and Robert Valentini uh going through uh only caught the highlights of this uh it looked like they defended the goal line a lot better than they did in the spring box game pretty much the and again probably Testament to the spring box Mall uh were just busting over whenever they felt like it uh seemed like they defended well uh in this one and got an absolute gift of a penal uh right at the end straight in front uh to win the game yep yeah very good spring box did beat the All Blacks over in South Africa that means they're two points two games clear I should say in the rugby Championship it was pretty much Theirs to lose uh so uh all eyes I think for Aussie fans uh will be this return leg against Argentina of course uh but the blood slow will be is obviously the big one The elusive one for the last 20 years yep y all right boys uh let's uh let's talk some Aussie rul footy let's start off with the all Australian team uh we'll run through the team talk about some snubs and talk about the structure of the team and you know certain positions not really getting a look in uh at Wingers um all Australian Team Max gor seventh blazer for his collection so pretty Elite company uh both Gary abet Junior and senior have seven plots um Dangerfield buddy Franklin Robert Harvey marichel shudo R Wayne KY Steven sylvani Nathan Buckley uh Max Gorn goes up with those numbers uh with those those names we'll get to the controversy maybe surrounding that in just a second but there was a lot of speculation I think particularly for for trist and Sherry uh but Darcy Cameron Rowan Marshall also uh been considered for that rck position not much uh controversy around these two blocks Marcus bondell named captain sixth all Australian selection for him Patrick Crips named Vice Captain fourth all Australian selection for him and he may go close to winning at Brown low in a few weeks time interesting question for you I've seen a little bit of conversation about the bont uh being hard done by that he hasn't won a bran low um so far in his career um that whether he's been top three a lot yeah exactly like whether it's not being stolen but um uh whether he's been unfairly treated maybe in some of the V voting missed out yeah well I'm putting that question to um because I've you know for how good he's been like the the talk like has he been one of if not one of the the best AFL player of of the last six or seven years he's probably been the most consistent yeah so then that hasn't you know turn into any uh Awards uh individual awards that will be so I think they're [ __ ] hard to win for one um for two I think last year you know often times you've got your your teammates to thank for for your success and also for not winning so uh you know if you don't mind scrolling down on last year's uh T I know Tim English won uh a fair few uh did tror get a few last year um yeah just maybe find uh how many some of those other Bulldogs teammates got so liba there got 17 took a few off him um I'm I'm sure for memory Timmy um English got a few um he was two points short last year he's been top three on several occasions um only 11 for Tim English poor rxs uh so that's probably part of it there uh but yeah of course it's it's something that's voted on by you know umpires and coaches and all the rest of it's a subjective thing so you're not going to completely eliminate that um but yeah it's it's something that he may never win mhm but six all Australians y pretty good player he's 15 bucks to win this year he uh I'd be surprised if he wins it this year but yeah I agree there has been a few you know Loy Neil's got two and again very good player I wouldn't say loy Neil has had twice the career that Marcus bondell has had yeah just you know that's just the way the cookie crumbles sometimes yes is it a I thing as well or don't Reon I think if anything been playing in the middle you know inside inside midfielder yeah it's we we'll get to quarterbacks in uh in the NFL a little bit later in the show uh the afl's going that way as well where this award is for your ball midfielders for the forwards have the Comm and Defenders who the [ __ ] is and it's essentially what it's like in the AFL and it's it's very specifically this is for inside midfielders it's not for wingman it's not for roxs it's not for bu um yeah and the Coleman the forwards kind of it's just kind of the way that that it is uh but positionally in in just a second we'll get to the makeup of the team and where you can name people let's run through that team backs Nick Blakey Sydney Jacob weering Carlton Luke Ryan Frio Dan Zoro revamp career moving into the back pocket Brisbane Jerry mcgaven one of two West Coast Eagles in there and Dan Houston Port Adela mids Max gor Melbourne Patrick Crips Carlton Caleb song Freo Errol Gordon Sydney Marcus bondon pelly Western Bulldogs Nick Doos Collingwood forwards and this is where it gets interesting positionally Chad Warner Sydney Jeremy Cameron jalong Isaac Heeney Sydney Jake Waterman West Coast Eagles Jesse Hogan gws Dylan Moore Hawthorne interchange Loy Woodfield gws Loy Neil Brisbane Adam tror gets his first Blazer West and Bulldogs Zack Butters Port Adelaide let's talk uh let's go straight into uh the the team structure it's like we're talking about how midfielders uh now people winning Brown lives how many can we get on the pitch well how many can we yeah get in there so Chad Warner and Isaac Heeney both played majority of their season through the middle Dylan MO majority of his season through the middle uh and then looking at the back six are actually all backs but often times they'll name someone off the halfback flank uh that's played uh mostly through the middle we saw this exact same thing done last year and then to top of off its inside Midfield is pretty much only so masimo de Ambrosio great season for Hawthorne arguably was the best true wingman in the comp this year doesn't get a look in it's harder to get the the number you know starting outside of the um Center Square uh than it is for the inside midfielders so it's just kind of function of how much ball that your inside midfielders are able to get um and yeah that's where your best players end up playing so Y and again if you wanted to pick it purely on Talent H yeah maybe there is a a pretty reasonable argument to have Heeney and Chad Warner forward um because you could play them as forwards I like he played a bulk part of his career as a as a forward and both of them had 25 plus goals this year so when they go forward or even as as scoring midfielders they can do it so that's the arguments for I definitely can understand that so Sydney got the most with four yep and no one else got three everyone else got there's a couple that got two yeah so two Blues two dogs dogs two power yeah two Brisbane two doc two giants yeah lots of two two Eagles interestingly Two Eagles yeah so yeah well six from Sydney um in total area yeah uh the we'll get to the snipers in just a second consistency is interesting as well uh I think it's again a bit of a reflection of midfielders and not going with a true forward six back six although and you know what I mean I think it also for this when you touch on it is also where the competition was kind of it's a very different competition this year than it was last year um a lot of movement in that top eight as you will so I think there's a bit of a reflection on that as well yeah well we look at the 17 guys from 2023 that didn't make the team it's a huge number it's a massive number uh and 12 of them not even making the short list lot of them still pretty handy still footballers but James S Le Callum Wilkey probably had a little bit of a Down year this year Sam Jackson Clair compared to their years last year uh Tom Stewart Darcy Moore Josh Doos Tim English Conor Rosie Jordan Dawson Zack Merritt was we'll get to in a second um Taylor Walker Christian Peta injured Charlie Cameron Charlie kerno will'll get to in a second Toby green Nick ly from the team last year that did not make him so it means the back toback guys Houston golden bondon P buts song uh snubs you watch a favor bit of Brisbane Lions football Harris Andrews I think he's probably the best fullback in the game y it's two years in a row that he's been in the preliminary Squad doesn't make the final 22 uh weering and mcgaven favored as talls and they went with h four smaller guys with Blakey Houston Ryan Z although Ryan probably can be sort of classified as halfway yeah and I I don't want to to put it on say on Zoro but I I think kind of maybe with that feeling you know get a one Lin guy in the back and with the Resurgence of his career maybe some of that kind came into the conversation but you re it does uh well if I'm trying to sell it to the media yes possibly I the headlines of the stories like zoka's a better story potentially at the back end of his career and they're like oh Andrews he's young he's got few more opportunities Etc so I can I can see that conversation definitely happening I think I think they probably pick how many TOS they want how many not TOS they want and then they've maybe maybe done a direct comparison with Jeremy mcgaven yeah for mine I would have had Harris Andrews um and definitely get to who I would have had in Charlie uh yeah just very consistent I think his kicking efficiency close to 90% uh when you're getting it out out of your end incredible uh interet Mark spoils is yeah high high up in in all of those um yeah he's been pretty unlucky to not be an Australian two years in a row agree this guy I'm actually was very surprised that Charlie kerno was uh name was not read out 57 goals in 21 games Waterman has had an excellent season big part of the Resurgence of the West Coast well they did better than what they did last year maybe not a Resurgence yeah uh 53 games uh 53 goals from his 20 games um Charlie may be doing his ankle and missing those last few if you've kicked say 65 plus goals I don't think you're missing the all Australian I think if you're the Coleman medalist you you're definitely not middling missing uh but again the same arguing could be used for Waterman there uh Waterman's kicking accuracy incredible MH uh but yeah for mine that's watched little Fair bit of Blues admittedly not a lot of eagles this year uh I was very surprised that Charlie's name did not get read out yeah but again does that go because they wanted uh of those small guys to fill some spots in the forwards yeah that's that's where the argument comes down so you've essentially left out one of the best true forwards in the game so the like to like comparisons in the team that they've picked are Waterman Hogan Cameron I think Jesse Hogan as the full forward and Coleman medalist is a no-brainer yep to have him in there uh and then Jeremy Cameron uh although having maybe a little bit more of a W sort of back third his last game went mental uh and at the start of the year we like could this guy win a brown low kind of uh form 58 goals 22 games averaging 16 disposals uh as well you know the work that he does as a true sort of half forward getting up the ground being a little bit more mobile than the others I think probably deserving of being in there uh so really the head-to-head that they've gone with is kerno versus Waterman and I don't see a world personally where Waterman is the better footballer get at me in the comments if you're an angry West Coast fan um I I just feel like Charlie KERO is a better footballer yep but yeah it's like you said uh some of those other spots if you're a true small forward yeah or a true Winger uh yeah maybe you're going hey is my position obsolete I can't crack into the uh all Australian team the the way that it currently is yeah cuz um inside mids are nicking your forward spot yeah inside mids or um you know they they they're going back they're going into uh the the forward pockets and half forward flanks of doing their air quotes uh and traditionally often they'd have one run off half Bank as well so there's an argument there is it should be the the position that they play week in week out or should it just be you know what's the scariest [ __ ] looking 22 we who's the best 22 in the country yep two other big um uh snubs here I think the last one is probably the the biggest one uh Zack Merritt would get to First 28 disposals a game 15 goals 114 tackles MKS watch a fair bit of uh bombers footy uh pretty good footballer yeah definitely I mean and statistically like um on par with last year as well I think it is probably the issue like we've been talking about there's too many midfielders um just don't have the spot for them and the reflection on their season like I think you're picking Sydney Swans dudes over where the bomb is finished well that's it like um yeah the way that the bombers have sort of ended the season with that downward Trend that slide like like you said we we' ought them and like West Coast aren't doing great but they're probably doing better than expected whereas you probably have a little bit higher expectation for the bombers this season where they started that's an interesting thing is it should expectation weigh into it or you know change from 2023 to 2024 cuz Waterman incredible in in how he's come on as a footballer whereas Zack Meritt has pretty much just done a carbon copy of what he did in 2023 that probably again shouldn't come into it that's like you don't want to think that's the where the team's sitting that's that's influencing it but again you look at all the midfielders chosen over him they're all teams above the bombers so how how can you say no to no to that I guess as well yeah yeah is it is it the um I'm going to call it the LeBron trait like you you've been you've been around so long that you you just that's just consistent for you but you're still putting up numbers that compared to your MVP Seasons so he like but you're not getting any I would go the other way I think the LeBron argument applies to Max Gorn where I think there has been statistically better Ruckman in the in it this year where the name value is but the name value is like well you know he's maybe the best Ruckman of all time uh I don't think he was in the top three rucks statistically this year will that that lead to your final snub yeah trist and Cherry um I think was the best Ruckman in the game this year um playing for North Melbourne um you know is difficult um and to try and get your team first usage of the ball um is is critical bloke finished second uh behind Ry O'Brien among for hit outs 35 a game uh but the other two stats that stand out for me uh having played a little bit lower level Ruck um than than these boys little bit little bit Yeah 35 hit outs and 18 disposals was a [ __ ] month of footy for me but month that's career [Laughter] titles played close to 150 games ad disposal out uh Aden disposals a game 173 tackles uh he finished second amongst all players in tackles this year which is move incredible yeah and he's fit but I was looking at time on Pitch uh time on on on the ground uh 85% which is pretty much bang on for where you're starting rucks uh uh so incredible season statistically and again foot is not just stats you know you could argue that you know their club didn't do overly too well ET well I would even argue that i' say Max gorn's um intangibles You probably better than well Captain yeah yeah not yet not even that like the ability to go forward pluck or you know just just when he's on you're like oh [ __ ] you know leadership side understand agree yeah uh but for mine probably the biggest snub was was Sherry and then yeah like I said I I think there's a good argument to say that that Darcy Cameron and and Ryan Marshall both had better years uh than than big Maxi did yep but anyways that is the squad uh or that is the confirmed 22 I should say uh we go through the squad uh obviously their name uh they named 44 as opposed to the traditional 40 uh so go check out that if you're AFL inclined and let us know who you think should have been in who uh should have stayed in there I think I don't think too many people going to argue the likes uh of Crips in bondon Pell uh pretty good at footy yep I agree uh there was a little bit of talk about petraca being traded I don't know what to believe anymore uh I feel like just media can just make [ __ ] up I I feel like Maxi like Max gor probably confirmed this cuz cuz when they interviewed him for the 22 for the R22 he was saying yeah I've talked to him about his frustrations with the club and my frustrations with the club CU I think it all came out with how they handled his injury and I think that I think was bu um you know beat it up a little bit too much but he'll know more about that behind the scenes but can can you go out publicly and say that there's been a few frustrations where a club you know has obviously fallen off a cliff to where they were 2 years ago uh does that equate to I'm out he's out the door there is what they were reporting yeah well I think that was probably more a threat um uh cuz so no no aspect of Truth in it whatsoever well yeah as in was just like hey I'm not real happy we need to sort some [ __ ] out otherwise I want to go and you know media reports that is like want trade was like yes there might get to that after we you know jump over a few rabbits and go over this way over um you know a few frogs or whatever um that's a terrible analogy the story when the Scorpion kills the Frog no Checkers I'm thinking of checkers but you know the idea you make some moves in checkers and you get to the point I don't know jumping things and yeah who the [ __ ] knows but your head is a wild plastic exactly but that's how the media works so and that's how they come up with this headline and information Bush did [Laughter] 911 that's not me that's you know that's how we get to things yeah but I I I think overall there's definitely frustrations to the club there's probably a little smoke to that fire but yeah I don't think we're getting you know Russian out and he wants to be traded tomorrow kind of thing I I think it's more just like I'm unhappy and if you don't WR you know fix some [ __ ] I W I want to go m um so I think he's now come out and said I'm staying we staying for next year uh you know it's bit of a beat up to me that sounds like we had the conversation we've covered off what needs to be addressed I'm now in a better place than I was a week ago um and you know the club and I are on the same page that's how I read that uh you know they they'll pull put out the nice statement that you know it's all be over set but I think with what Maxi said um at the the Australia 22 kind of LEDs me to think that that they've had some conversations they addressed the issues and now he feels happier the whole episode with petraco Melbourne has just been completely fol there's been ego there's been delusion there's been ridiculous media management there's been spin that is uh from longtime journalist Damen Barrett on the Sunday Footy Show yeah but you know you also say that if you didn't get the scoop so yeah you could there two sides to every story I suppose the only way you'll know is a if petria went into long format conversation and spoke about it yeah exactly so I don't doubt there was probably some frustrations there and I think yeah without doubt yeah I think they've cleared the air and sorted it out so for now he's happy uh you know the team that's probably worried about trades at the moment is the Tigers uh with um Bolton one out of there and it looks like have to keep him like and a lot of guys want to go west like um is a picket as well wants to go out there the problem the reverse problem of what the Adel and Perth Tes generally have yeah exactly everyone wants well I guess they've had a good system coming out of West Australia recently that yeah all the guys want to go home so um yeah it'll be interesting if and they all want to go to the Dockers of course because they're doing well um whether the Dockers will manag to pull off all these trades and um create some sort of super team over there didn't do well in the game that counts thanks boys that uh does lead us into a bit of finals chat let us know in the comments what you think about the Peta situation um so Thursday night qualifying final Port Adelaide versus jalong that is going to be a beauty uh that game would have sold out in about 2 seconds I reckon uh would be interesting to see this port team that has been so good um over the last season in a bit since they started over five yep um how going to go in a home qualifying final yeah I think you know any Adela team at home in Adelaide oval is always a good shat to win a game [ __ ] loud in there yeah but you also you run into jalong who just you know have the old heads they just know how to win big games so yeah I think it'll be a great game of footy um I'm leaning towards Port out winning it but uh you never ride off Jong I go Port uh but yeah you are right there there's a fair bit of finals experience there the grand finals experience I don't think uh some of those older heads at Jong will let the uh occasion yeah the moment get the better of them uh monks you got some odds there for us yes yes I do uh so Port are obviously favorites at $148 uh jonga out at 266 at the moment they've had a big break I'm just going back to two weeks ago uh so Port had the win over in the west uh which allowed the uh Blues to thanks guys appreciate your your hard work there uh and jalong uh had a big win uh against West Coast in jalong uh that was the Jeremy Cameron nine goal MH game uh and we spoke about it uh a few weeks ago with Tom Hawkins saying that he'll be done at the end of the year so that will be inspiring the group as well especially as well with danger sort of gone through um a fair bit of injury Cloud this year getting any younger as well not getting young same with Cameron so yeah yeah yeah they've got a lot of guys there that yeah whil they will bring a lot of experience and not not let it get to them the whole [ __ ] joke uh was that that they're too old so uh you get you know you get two things there you get the experience and not letting the occasion get the better of you but yeah uh fourth quarter performance is always going to be uh of of a concern when you're you know on the other side of 30 mhm y all right Friday night we got a elimination final which over the last month of footy uh redot yeah probably shapes up as being one of the sauciest uh matchups we could think of Western Bulldogs Hawthorne this also sold out the G uh for especially you know dogs not a huge uh Melbourne club and after Hawthorne's spent a whole two seasons in the wilderness they're looking like uh the form T of the competition yeah like I think name value Bulldogs Midfield Midfield yeah like you think you can't go past but just Allon have been so red hot it's just can they keep that momentum going in into a finals and yeah very young team MCG full like U I think talking about occasions yeah I talk about occasions so I I think they might sneak this one like I'd like to get on Hawthorne for this um and yeah maybe it's you know in a week's time kind of thing is where they they run potentially comes to an end um when one of those you know teams that are prob most likely going to win the Premiership out I can't split him for mine before sort of looking at the odds before I thought this might have been a little bit closer we get let monks get to it in just a second uh this is Hawthorne's last six weeks of footy beat Kangas by 124 points beat Richmond by 63 points uh the week before beat Calton by 74 points did lose that tough one here uh to the Giants by two points before that beat Adelaide by 66 points beat Collingwood by 6 six points uh and then beat Freo uh in the game before that with two goals I suppose maybe the knock on him is they haven't played enough Elite teams in this last two months of footy but they're you're going out week in week out and flogging pretty handy like Collingwood and Carlton that still then they're not it's not like the Richmond and Ru games of the last two weeks they're still going out and beating you know these big melbour clubs with 12 goals um it's going to be hard to to bet against them but for mine I think just the prowess of the dogs Midfield well like you know I think that gws game is probably the the the standard as you will and they were really close so I I think it will be competitive they it'll be a good close game of footy maybe they can Jag this one but yeah I just don't think they Premiership ready friend of the show former contributor macka mad Western Bulldogs fans like to see definitely well we having a few beers at a wedding last weekend and he's like that was like it's a litmus test when we go plays against the Giants he maybe took a little bit into the hyperbolic uh saying we win that game we win the flag he's fired up but I think uh he had some some points there that you know if you can go out to you know a windy ballat and put away a pretty windy B pretty handy side in uh in the Giants uh yeah maybe the the Grand Final aspirations uh uh I wouldn't say likely but uh definitely possible y they're a good squad there's no doubt of that odds M yeah so B are favorites are $168 Hawthorne is out at $219 value there y very tasty contest there Battle of the bridge is the Saturday AO game qualifying final uh and two teams that couldn't have had any different uh you know runs into the the September um Sydney here are favored but obviously fell off a cliff in the last month and a bit I feel like they rided the ship over the last two weeks kind of like all right we've won a few games we're going into the final period you know we've had our little wobble hopefully you know starting to get healthy again make sure we got everyone available yet and to go on a run so I think Sydney is still still really good but you know Toby green can turn up and niggle the [ __ ] out of them and they just lose their and the colan medalists and you know a a guy that I thought was snub not to make the all Australian Squad in Tom Green uh in incredible inside Midfield just make all 22 of them inside MIDI Feld they're a good again J is a good football team they there's a reason they're there and playing Sydney week one so um yeah for my oh do I say the winner of this is probably maybe playing in the final potentially I don't think that's outrageous say it's a um this is the the last month of 40 or just over a month for the swans 31 Point winners against the crows 39 Point winners against the bombers uh three Point winners against Collingwood so did write the ship mhm then before then 112 Point losers at uh at the Adelaide over two Port Adelaide famously no one has ever won uh a flag having lost any game by 100 points the week before that uh lost to the Bulldogs by 39 the week before that lost to the Lions by two points um notoriously slow starters in fact was 71 zip or something in that Port lady game so need to get out to a strong start I'm sure horse has been that's been the the focus of training over the last 10 days has uh has been let's start strong uh and make sure that we don't have to come back from goals down exactly it' be a very DWS thing to win this and make Sydney go the hard way I again I what's the odds side yeah s Sydney is favorites but I find this one hard to pick I think for mine port and Brisbane unfortunately are probably the obvious picks this one a little bit harder but I'll go the swans yeah so swans our favorites a $163 uh and gws are $228 a little bit further out but yeah the shortest one here is the Saturday evening game the Lions uh take on Carlton uh in the elimination final at the G Carlton just really lucky to be there to be honest backed in yeah yeah uh much like my dragons our dragons our dragons uh apologies um my Blues there we go I've worked it out in my head bombers and Dragons blues and Dragons all the permutations playing out in my head yeah uh the bombers made finals well yeah unfortunately well let's look at applies to all our all have played [ __ ] FY over the last month and a bit um so Caron lucky to be there will get a stack of of troops back uh so that s Kil a game didn't have KERO didn't have Mai didn't have TDK well yeah they were missing 17 like a week ago so 17 but probably like 10 Stars yeah but but still that's a lot it wasn't the full vfl team but you're missing your your 2ky forwards Iraq you know sprinkle in a few uh Midfield contributors amongst that um yeah it's always going to be hard to win against anyone uh so was very happy with the effort they put in out west the penultimate week uh and then a pretty disappointing but close uh hit out against the Kilda last week yeah yeah but you think Brisbane at home at the G is one of the scariest tasks in foot isn't it yeah very difficult so you know I think brisman heavy favorites for a reason and you I wonder how much of a bad taste in their mouth they have from last year's prelim as well having been up five or six goals and starting to think about Grand Final footy to have that taken away for them or do they use that as a fire and you know have that uh you know playing um on reate over the last couple weeks and say come on boys you know you know you can play well against this outfit it's going to be hard uh it's going to be loud it's going to be plenty of lions fans up there but I'm sure plenty of people be jumping on the plane as well uh to try and get there and support them but yeah it seems like the one where the odds uh seem to reflect the general feeling leading into this one the most yep age amongst what are those odds yes so yeah uh Brisbane are as you said the shortest of the week at a129 uh the blues are out at $362 uh Lions have only lost four games at home this season which you know sometimes they lose one yeah who's beaten him up there um so so that was the start of the year as well though yeah that's yeah opening round uh and then Collingwood in round three uh and then where am I going after that jalong in round six and then gws in 22 four pretty reasonable sides yeah uh it's a good reminder there that they did it they did it in in the opening round uh one up in Brisbane against uh you know the the runners up of last year uh hopefully voss's reminded them of that and you know 6 months is you know a lot can happen in footy but uh that's that's certainly uh I think a big big boost for for their own personal belief and really it's only the playing group that really matters uh I'd also say on the flip side for the Lions like their first 10 weeks were Dreadful and three of those losses at home were in that period so um I think yeah I think that um that's kind of you know again we'll steal them like we're a better side than we were start of year we've played excellent throughout that you know that one lost the gws you go back to that team that team just seems to pop up and win games in places they probably shouldn't be yeah they they had a few little wobbles leading uh into finals losing that gws and Collingwood game uh but it was it 10 that they won in a row mid middle of the Year yep so running into a pretty white hot uh Brisbane Lions uh outfit up there uh one of the hardest tasks in footy yep got to believe though got to believe uh it all kicks off Thursday night uh and then Friday night double head of Saturday so let's go footy finals yeah all right let's uh let's talk a wee bit of cricket we've got the Cricket on in the background at the Joe Root GOOD at Cricket moment two big talking points to get to here uh in uh the cricket segment uh the first one is probably how good is Joe root uh I think we can all agree very [ __ ] good uh the interesting comparison is to always make uh regarding Joe rot uh is how good is he versus the other big three yep so The Fab Four as you well The Fab Four second uh test at Lords currently underway Sri Lanka doing their best to try and save this I think it's inevitably going to end up in an England win yeah uh all off the target for them all off the back of Joe rot you take Joe rot out of this game and it's probably a reasonably even contest Joe root has got a century in both Innings uh his 33rd and 34th test centuries that is the most for England ever surpasses alist D cook uh and in terms of total runs is only a few hundred behind Alis a cook will certainly go down as England's top run scorer uh in history and possibly test matches top run scorer depending on how long he wants to play for well he defin he got the he's had the most runs and most centuries at Lords as well so you know as you do with English guys with the amount of matches he's been playing and winning so yeah but he's stealing all of Alistar Cook's records essentially and having Alistar cook on comary was a little bit funny as well he looked super happy for all his records being taken um so you know a little bit awkward there but I think he was also happy that England and doing so well Root's been um so good for them I think he'll be pretty happy that English Cricket is in a much better place uh now than it what was just a couple of years ago um look let's start to make this comparison again against the other three uh in The Fab Four ver Coley Steve Smith Kane Williams Joe rud yeah so you know post the co era so since 2021 this is from January 1 2021 so J RS doubled his centuries he had 17 and he scored 17 in that period to take him to 34 uh in that same period toy had that Big Stretch where he didn't get anything two years I think without was over two years wasn't it that he didn't have a test time yeah so he's only had two in those years Steve Smith's had six and Kane Williamson has had nine so of the Fab Four he's definitely been the more dominant one in that period but then there's also the comination and conversation about well England play a fuckload of cricket compared to everyone else so how does it actually compare fuckload of test Cricket yes for yes yeah uh obviously they prioritize their red ball Cricket uh not that they don't care about white ball Cricket but just in terms of sheer numbers of games played uh they are the most red ball Centric India are the most white ball Centric and we fit somewhere in between y uh so yeah one could just argue well on a centuries uh per games played he's actually the he has the lowest strike rate if you will uh just a tick over four games played to each Century 144 tests for 34 centuries uh Sean's uh done the mass for us uh so CO's in 113 games played so 29 so 3.9 M matches per Smith has played 109 so 3.4 matches per 100 and uh the best strike rate of them all Williamson 100 matches played 3.1 matches per 100 yeah so you know if you do the uh quick math to add you know the extra 30 odd games to make them equal to what root had done yeah those guys would probably be about 40 so um you know the overall strike rate is a little bit better so what what's playing into people still dissing Joe root in comparison to the others it can't just be oh will they play H yeah English Cricket yeah he's a pomy he's a literally heard that few this morning out of their fingers texting in the group chat um I think that he's never scored 100 in Australia austral that say that's a big knock on him uh you know much like it's a rough comparison obviously he's been better here than what Warner was in England but it's a massive stay on Warner's career as well uh you know the performance over there HomeField Advantage shock uh that that plays into it but I'm starting to think and I've started to think this for a little while um you got to you got to give credit where credit's due he's a pom it's not you can't just say oh [ __ ] him he's a pom yeah you know but he take him out of this side and they suck so yeah he's been carry up there at the moment and it's just littered with blue and three of those big double tons as well at the back end of uh 2020 into the start of 2021 the last four years has been incredible I don't care about frequency you still got to go out there and score runs and it's just [ __ ] just blues and a few yellows there on uh on how that which is which is tons and and double tons I think you made a good point as well about he's holding that team up like you have a look at how many pressure yeah how many hits as well is not out as well so he's batting all he's just car like he's just he's carrying his Bat and from their top six he's been the only consistent thing they're actually lucky that they've had him and a good bowling liner in this Bas ball era to have actually won much test crcket at all yeah yeah agree and and we talk about it each each year you know who's going to be the the top three for for England it's been a [ __ ] revolving door you know since since cook and St have have been out out of the side you know it's been been a good five or six years where it's they haven't had any consistency luckily now that you know Ducket and Crawley has starting to show a little bit uh they've just started to to you know probably have a have a a top order established uh for for you know at some period of time but yeah before Crawley and Ducket were established it was really you know root and and Stokes to be fair um at at U four and and five or four and six uh the only consistence in in English Cricket yeah from a bad perspective yeah agree agree what I what I think might actually be interesting which we won't do now would actually be the comparison for how many matches and tests uh in that three foure bracket um cuz yeah maybe post 30 years um 30 years old um Joe rud has actually been better and striking better than the other three so you know the others might have got him as young fellas but his back end of his career um has been much better than he's fine whing it isn't he exactly so cuz I remember a stage when people used to start call him The Fab Four and I was like [ __ ] off like it was it's like this is the three enjo route you know why why you putting Joe root in the same sentence as as Smith and and and verat essentially if you spoke to me say Circa 2019 yep uh now I think it's undeniable I think you have to say these are the big four of the generation It lines up so well that there's one from each of the big three and then throw our kiwi Brothers in there um and and shout out to Williamson who's been unreal as well over the last little bit of bit of test Cricket you talk about importance to his team yeah again undeniable uh but yeah I think the the you know Aussies have to sort of sit back and you know tip your cap and you can still hate them for being PS but you should also you know game recognize game and say it's been one of the most elite sort of fouryear cycles of of batting that that we've seen agree and yeah I going get continue by looks of it and um and like you say as a comparison to the the other three um in this period of their careers as they getting old fellas as you will uh he's been more dominant so it'll be interesting to see how they finish up needs a t in Australia for I think a few Australians to to start to really uh uh tip the cap and uh here's one for you as well if he becomes the uh the highest scorer he's about 3,000 if you can get the most runs ever in test crickets sash pter still ahead of him he's about to go past cook sangar is ahead of him callus ahead of him think anyways uh because some of the arguments that we get with Jimmy Anderson and I think it's a different Kettle fish as well with Bowlers the longevity gevity obviously plays into it I don't think any reasonable sort of thinking Cricket man is is going to say that that Jimmy Anderson is a better bowler than Glenn MCG was pick his powers or was a ma or you know his longevity played into it exactly like maintaining health is still a skill in itself but it's you know it's a different thing yeah so but you know they play as we said they play so much test Cricket uh and if you can do that over a 20e career and to get the statistics they like yeah I give you props for that being able to keep that longevity throw in any of the West Indian uh poers of the 70s and 80s uh so Richard Hadley again talent wise yeah the strong Johnson conversation we had earlier like talent-wise they have probably better talent but you know their stats won't hold up against the guys that can play longer and keep racking up the numbers here's how the numbers stand at the moment root is seventh all time crazy to think of at the age of uh 30 how old is he yeah I was going to ask you that question how old is J so reached that total at 31 and 5 157 days sh can he get his birthday up wild go back to his Wikipedia had him up a second ago what's as cook made 300 more runs at the same age yeah but also test he's born 990 I'm pretty sure yeah so so 33 yeah uh so still could go number one so root is 12131 7th ahead of him sangakara 12,400 alair cook 12,472 I think that's the date he made 10,000 runs yeah yeah yeah yeah um I sure is same age as me what have I done more than life he's actually tick younger uh so he's 300 odd behind sangara and cook so within the next six months you'd imagine he's going to he's going to go top five uh and then he's got a little bit of work to get to Rahul D at 3,200 odd uh callous around the same amount uh and then punter just 100 runs ahead of them so it's pretty much undeniable barring some sort of iic injury that he's going to go number two retire or something like that but yes his average all be it how good his last four years have been his average still sits at 50.3 three you look at everyone above him other than cook again England playing of cricket playet uh sar's average 57 D 52 55 for callus 5 what call 52 for Ricky pwning 54 just about for sash so a little tick below all of those talk about Al the cook he got his 33 centuries from 163 matches a lot of test Cricket they play a lot of test Cricket so yeah yeah I think if he goes number one of all time and batting is different to bowling in some regards um yeah I don't I don't I don't think you have to say well yeah he's number one so he's better than sashon da no obviously I'm not advocating for that but I think just to disregard him as a as a cricketer because they play a lot of Red Bull Cricket is just stupid yeah I agree uh it's going to be interesting to see he's looking at it he's going to go at least number two yeah that's enough sucking off the bomb feels dirty doesn't it feels very dirty so here in a couple years uh will poosi uh yeah unfortunately is UN yeah reportedly forced into early retirement following bulk concussions bugs if you wouldn't mind bringing up his had one what a couple months ago I feel like reported he's had probably three in the last 88 months bad ones uh yeah there's we've talked about there's obviously something in his style there's just something where he's just not seeing those ones and you know the risk is high if that's the case that he's going to get more so um yeah and you know he's struggled with those demons and with those um you know the mental aspect that comes with that so it's it's it's it's a brain injury it's a especially for a young fell um it's not something you want so yeah don't put yourself on H's wearing that risk and we've talked about it with the AFL guys and same sort of conversation you know some the NRL as well so yeah put your own well-being first um so yeah it's a bit unfortunate and I think we've also talked about it you know saying he's the next punter coming out like it's just it's a for gone thing he's going to be so dominant and it's just like just let the block play don't put so much on him yeah the pressure is difficult isn't it exactly so you know that pressure anointed one from such a young age yeah and then you know con questions why you're not playing cuz you're injured um yeah it's just it's just unfortunate you hear a fair bit of stupid rhetoric as well like when around mental health you know you're an athlete like get out there you can pay big money suck up yeah uh for a redball cricketer like will pakowki comparably actually probably doesn't make a whole hip of money no not unless he's playing for Australia so exactly so I don't think money's really playing into this decision at all I think it's his long-term brain health that's probably playing into it and Cricket is so mental batting in particular is so so mental so if anything is is out there um you know you need to get on top of on top of that and clearly he's having some sort of you know postconcussive symptoms as well which you know we're talk about it I feel like every other week in when it comes to the contact Sports so for him to be treated any differently as a cricketer is you know by people in the general public that maybe don't really know what they're talking about so much it's a bit frustrating yeah ex exactly and getting hit by cricket ball doing 150k an hour yeah exactly it might not be swinging arm hard Graves like it's it's a different kind of contact but yeah it's it's going to hurt and definitely even with wearing helmet like H in the wrong spot and yeah it's yeah and again that's like it's highly highly highly highly unlikely um and it's hard to not think of Phil Hughes in that but you know you're much more likely to unfortunately probably have a car accident on the way to training yes uh in terms of the the severe acute uh circumstances or or Consequences I should say but postconcussive syndrome is a [ __ ] real thing and if you're having a few and you're in your 20s and you've got to think you know just yeah just go look at all the CT in the NFL exactly like when when do I when do I pull the pin and you know I'm hope that we've already seen a little bit of sort of grooming for a a media position you know hopefully they can bring him in and and get looked after by Cricket Australia in that regard um yeah I don't look at him any differently for for pulling the pin early in fact I think look at him with more respect for for saying well I'm am you know concerned about my brain I'm in my 20s and I want to do the best thing that for my health long term agree anyways it's regardless it's sad because a lot of Aussie Cricket fans you know pressure aside or hope or whatever you want to word you want to um put into it uh s an Elite Talent um you know that that and I think most people wanted to him to to see him succeed uh probably a lot of people just said that yeah it's not going to come to fruition him yeah exactly but given the last two years not unexpected mhm thinking of you will uh I think it's a brave decision mate to to pull the pen and uh hoping to hear you in commentary or podcast form uh good luck for all the F yeah exactly right moving forward this D play Big series boys three T20 Internationals against Scotland they start Wednesday Hazelwood is out with a cast train Ry Meredith called in some interesting names here uh as well mitchar Shan Abbott Xavier Bartlett Cooper Connelly uh hopefully he gets a T20 International cap we've followed him over the last little bit Tim David Nathan Ellis Jake Fraser mcer B of pressure and anointed ones uh you know certainly uh you know a lot of Australians jumping to conclusions as to how rest of his career is going to go but good little opportunity for him to make some runs cam green Aaron Hardy Travis head Josh Engish Ry Meredith as AFA mentioned Big Stone and his best friend Adam Zs uh not super concerned about Scotland games although I hope they don't drop one to Scotland no uh and then it runs into uh an English uh white balls only series after they finish against Sri Lanka yeah we don't have test Cricket till the summer India yeah which you know give it to a bit months and uh it'll be here yeah so ke so ke man uh a little nervous but very ke and's not the gab can to talk about it yeah on this podcast famously have uh some scars regarding the gabber in a video that we put out it's a fortress again bro yeah think yeah check it out our India afraid of the G historically yes all right that'll do us for Cricket I think boys uh it's September so that means footy finals means Cricket is close and for us on this podcast it means one big thing NFL oh he broke his ankles going to do our Super Bowl and NFL Season is HERE! MVP picks before chatting some big deals talking a bit of fantasy doing a little bit of rookie watch and some college football that got underway today yep Super Bowl 59 will be in just four months time the Chiefs opener favorites at $650 49ers are sevens Ravens are 11s and a team that you like at 12 bucks is the Lions yeah so they my pick is a little bit of a fun pick uh for the NFC so I was uh looking at and um I like what the Lions have um Joe G plays better indoors and I think he's got 15 games this year indoors four uh yeah maybe it's 15 [ __ ] bit cuz uh most of the games they play on the road as well so any anyway that's a lot so he plays almost the entire season indoors so that'll benefit that team a lot um it it be interesting comes finals if they have to say go to Green Bay or something like that that it's cold but yeah I really like them and I had Houston as my AFC guys so Lions vers Texans uh that is fun bre there in the notes fun that is fun that's my fun you know we don't need bloody Chiefs again [ __ ] them off and or 49ers they've had their opportunities yeah let's have some fun lions lions Texans um let's see them make a run and maybe get a Super Bowl well if that was a Super Bowl we'd have a first time winner cuz neither of those teams have have won have won one um and the Lions you saw as each team sort of dropped out uh this coming from a Packers fan a lot of people were like yeah I kind want the Lions to beat the 49ers I kind of want the Lions to go out there and uh if they were have you know face off the eventual Chiefs I think they would have had a lot of support from other clubs fans coming through for them you look at this uh Team on paper there's no reason why they can't be better this year leor rookie last year a lot of projections have him going you know top two tight end this year Amar ra is probably only going to be better Jam Gibbs is only going to be better Williams I think as well is going to really Jon Williams yeah Json Williams like he's going to be wide receiver two definitely for them and he adds gives them a real big threat that they missed for a lot of last year as well so running through the offensive line one of the best offensive lines in football pen Su is Young he's only going to get better Aden Hutchinson on the other side of the ball is only going to get better uh I have some question marks around their defense as a unit um I's the big name yeah exactly andone as a as a inside Lineback is pretty good young Teran Arnold high draft pick from last year I think the nose tackle DJ rder is uh is pretty handy football player but I think yeah when you compare that to some of the elite defenses like talk about 49ers yeah exactly so they they're going to have to rely on their offensive Brilliance and playing a bunch of games in the dome uh with that offense I have no war is whatsoever about their offense and I'm terrified for when the Packers to play them especially at home yep uh but defense does win championships and I have a little question mark around their defense which is interesting because I've G the Packers to win the whole thing uh look $18 uh I don't know how much of this is head how much his heart uh but very impressed with Jordan love uh you're talking out your ass sorry either way go well they're $18 and the lions are $12 so not far they're not far off it I think if we wanted to do probably the most reasonable pick here is all go Chiefs Chiefs Chief exactly uh because beating that Mahomes lead Chiefs and we saw it in the Super Bowl just have the feel I just felt that that whole end of that game that I've seen this before bro I've seen the script I've seen the script and the script is that the chase win this uh but I've the Packers for a bit of fun let's have a look um at them on paper just bringing them up here yeah well I think they strong suit is that they young receiving core you know no true wi receiver one but they got a lot of talent they can spit around yeah Watson dobs Ray davan Wicks also pretty handy they might have four fantasy relevant receivers uh and Luke Musgrave probably going to be pretty reasonable tight end bring across Josh Jacobs loves you know big contract so and he looked really good his back end of last year so hopefully he can continue that we'd hate for him to fall on his face in the start of this year but uh yeah I think with that receiving core he should be pretty good he has to stay healthy because Malik will taking anyone to to you know divisionals but offensive line is okay it's not great so there's a big question mark there and defense again is okay but not great they're a bit big name heavy J Alexander is legitimate one of the best corners in the league I really like Stokes as well so Stakes is pretty good rashan Gary was in the top 100 this uh past year uh and Kenny Clark and Preston Smith on the D line aren't bad either uh but they're again they're not an elite defense they're probably a bit better than the Lions defense but they're probably not a 49ers or a Ravens defense again yeah I am talking a little bit out of my ass 18 bucks if you like the Packers to get it and I've gone the Packers taking on the Chiefs repeat of the first Super Bowl history does repeat itself boys uh that's that's been my pick monks always right twice today yeah that's right you've G the shortest option here but I think very very good chance that we see these guys win it yeah yeah so uh you actually mentioned the two teams I'm going to talk about just a second ago so I think the 49ers will beat uh the Baltimore Ravens um this year so probably the most reasonable pick mhm yeah again outside of going to the Chiefs yes going very boring with my pick um yeah ners a 49ers a $7 uh TN it outright which is second shortest just behind those Kansas City Chiefs yep that's it um but I knowe you made earlier was uh they are five five and three in Super Bowl and they've lost their last three last three G through so yeah they're du I guess so Che that offense yeah Brock P Chris mcaffrey Debo Samuel and who they've just uh signed that put penda paper we'll get to that in a second George KD call us Che one of the better offensive lines uh getting around Trent Williams holding out is that no new of today which is a big concern because when he didn't play last year they didn't win a game they didn't win a game without him so um I think that during that period they're also missing a bit of KD and a bit of um well so yeah they were missing a few guys um and they struggled and win those games um I think didn't the Ravens put him to the sword one of those gam up bad I think yeah so you know they're a different team without all the stars but when they've got the starting 11 there uh very very hard to beat plus had in that defense that defense is very good yeah of the three teams that we spoken about the best defense hands down uh that front seven uh is is formidable uh Leonard Floyd joins uh this year to go along with Nick Bosa Drake green law coming back from the Achilles Fred Warner um that's some of the most elite defensive players in the game uh secondary probably not as strong but uh uh H has come a long way chus Wards a pretty good Corner uh they're a very formidable defense as well um yeah I can't question you I think they're the shortest team in the NFC for a reason I think health is probably important as per any team we just spoke about if Jordan love goes down probably don't see Willis you know taking the Packers very far uh I think for them it's it's Brock P's been great uh but you know you may be able to park a Brandon Allen there maybe not win a Super Bowl but go deep H but I think Sam is obviously the the big one there he changes changes games single-handedly uh has to stay healthy and there'll be a bunch of people's fantasy team that'll be their fantasy season will be riding on his uh his broad shoulders yeah I think they did a I think it was of teams had CMC on him in fantasy football 70% of them won um championship last year is that just from having him just for having him yeah I think if uh if he passed up on him number one in anything that's not sort of super Flex or weird rules I think you might have Rock for brains but anyways time will tell uh so you've got 49ers beating the Ravens let's talk quickly about the Ravens they bring the king across Lamar Jackson uh we'll talk about him just a second uh at an elite defense defense maybe receiver depth if you wanted to get nitpicky yeah well they they obj was there and they kind of let him go and it's just back to Batman and flowers is their main to but I think Mark Andrews is probably if he's healthy he's a he's a big uh you know Target getter for them so he could be tight end one this year yeah again no no reason why big can't do that so yeah and Lamar's Lamar will always be a threat um and I I hate rpos Derrick Henry like [ __ ] me dude like close to the goal line and it kind of made it a little bit difficult in in uh fantasy drafting is like how many is is Henry going to score I can see him scoring 18 20 touchdowns because Lamar historically doesn't score a whole bunch of touchdowns he does he he gets a whole lot of rush yards and then they normally have punched it in with the back yeah he's not a exactly he's the inverse of hers hers his touchdown heavy and gets less yards so like exactly you say if you're one yard out and the RPO is Lamar and the King yep [ __ ] good luck yeah that might be this year's touch push y like it's going to be very very difficult to it's difficult to stop one of those guys uh to stop either of them you know out of the shotgun uh with the with the option it's going to be very difficult uh but yeah I like the Ravens I like them as a pick uh for the AFC uh I think lots of football fans outside of Chase fans probably getting sick of the chase all right let's talk some MVPs uh you've got that man that we just spoke about Lamar Jackson let me run through some of the favorites Mahomes $5 Josh Allen 850 CJ strad would be fun at 10 bucks Joe burrow 10 bucks Jaylen Herz 14 you've got Lamar for the Triple Crown yep yeah and the reason you just gave before like I think they're going to be pretty good uh I think it's probably you know un uh I think the way they played last year as well and they were very dominant um they kind of seemed like a playoff team and they just I think they fell kind of just fell short right at the right M wrong moment for them um so I think they're looking to correct that and uh I think Le the mark could come and win another MVP I think on paper as well there's an argument that they could be better yeah than than what they were last year I just want to have a look at their defense uh sorry to make this a conversation about Baltimore um obviously individual success uh is going to go along with Team success as well uh defensively still got some mad names on there R Kan Smith Marlon Humphrey Kyle Hamilton uh to to name a few yeah there's probably an argument that they haven't improved on defense uh obviously they're they're going to be better on offense you'd think bringing in Henry and having Andrews healthy missed half the season last year um and then again Lamar's Lamar I don't know if he actually needs all that much talent around him he's been able to do things with guys on paper that aren't that really that good yeah well they are well Co team that as so they've got one of the long um consistent head Coes over there so uh yeah um and they did pick Walker um later go back to that wide receiver call Big Target receiver so maybe he's been a bit slow coming on preseason but it wouldn't shock me if he finds a good role for them as a bit of a deep threat um for some jump balls as well yeah generally three is ideal generally you need two like legitimately good receivers I think Z flow proved last year that he's pretty good at football uh so they're going to need someone to step up to be that number two uh agalo we've seen bits and pieces in the past bit the big question mark and then we'll see if devontes Walker can uh add another thing uh another Target for for Lamar and they really like Isaiah likeley as well yes don't go two tight end sets a lot you know again go down the goal line and if you got two tight ends who can catch yeah who can catch and block and then you got Lamar and Henry der Henry to watch watch out for in the in the back field going be stop I was interested as well if you're into having a little punt the Aussie market for Lamar Jackson to win the MVP is $14 this a guy that's won two mhm previously uh mom's in there at $5 fair enough uh but to have Herz Barrow strad Allen all shorter than him interesting yeah I thought so as well that's why I really liked him that kind of value a guy that's the exact same value MH and I've gone him just keep you stucking off your bers well feel like if you win this if you I've already gone at a stretch here for the Packers winning the Super Bowl had 10 good games bro so if they win the Super well if they win the Super Bowl Jordan loves MVP that's it end of argument you just have to I just have to convince you on the other points which probably didn't do a very good job of uh but they've paid him like an MVP you paid about $220 million M you want him to play like an MVP The Bookies think he's pretty good 14s and he was 34 in the top 100 yep which is incredible yes the bloke's had 10 good good games okay uh he's in a he's in a a pretty good offense okay that's pretty well coached so he has all of that going for him uh maybe we're getting a little bit too far ahead of ourselves with the Jordan love hype but look they've done this as an organization for [ __ ] 30 years well I think that's what everyone thinks that there's like fa and Aaron Rogers ended Jordan love that's exactly what's happened but you know he could just have the biggest regression of all time and was just like [ __ ] what would be done he could he could be to Watson next week so he could and him all that money they're not for long League it's they not for long League I get that we just had cut day and we looking at some of those names and some of them were first round picks [ __ ] two years ago it's different with quarterbacks it is so so different these guys in these head off organizations that will be the caveat at good organizations they know what they're doing y h and I think love is going to be good I think it's hard cuz essentially two of the better teams in the NFC will be in the NFC North and the Bears are only get better as well you'd think yeah the Bears look tasty on offense but yeah so it they they've got that going against them um they have to run a team that's going to be probably a little bit more offensively focused and win you know in that Green Bay in those Green Bay conditions at the uh end of the year but they'll love that they'll they'll say [ __ ] you Detroit if we you know get a home home final in the frozen tundra we'd love that we I'm sure they'd rather that than go play yeah and play against a high powerered offense in the dome uh but yeah anyways just off the back of the Packers winning the Super Bowl this year I've gone Jordan love $14 realistically uh I think he's a little bit too short if Lamar's also at 14 but look there's lots of people now that uh stting to think he this guy's the real deal including bookies and including players so for me I when I start thinking about things uh and I look at the deal and I look at those two groups of people thinking that someone's good I go yeah the guy's probably pretty good yep y MKS we know this guy's good at football the question is can he win this is the MVP just for quarterbacks I mean that's it he probably should have already won at least one or two um obviously we're talking about CMC um being being the the highest um or the highest favorite that's not a QB position shortest shortest favorite yeah um at 51 bucks yeah wild but I think it's who who do we say C no not yeah there there's some names on there I was like really Anthony Richardson like again looks like he's good at football he's had two good games in the NFL he's at 34 he's shorter than CMC yeah so it's obviously the MVP has increasingly quarterback heavy uh so we have to do something historically uh that's looking less and less likely and you had a great point before that uh if Cooper cup didn't win it a few years ago when he when he had the year that he had uh no one other than a quarterback he getting it yeah well AP was again go back to 2012 his 2 2K season all the touchdowns he was the last another running back right there running back and then before then leanian Tomlinson and before that Shan Alexander so it's much more likely from running back position then from other positions yeah so and then 2000 but that's four in the last 24 years so so you're saying would you ter Davis true hey that sticks with your your argument there 4 if the 49ers a Jee and if the 49ers win the Super Bowl is well yeah again MVP has announced before Super Bowl but uh yeah but if they're going to the Super Bowl yeah had to have played pretty well yeah but that happened last year and what does he what does he have to do to win it do you think given break lt's which is how many 20 something I think it's like 28 can you f find that it's a fuckload yes uh I could see a world maybe realistically you get lt's numbers I'll get cmc's and he's probably got a got to rush for 20 and catch 10 10 or eight or something uh yeah realistically I probably don't say that happening yeah does he have to break the record for him to win the MVP could he have kuer cup broke all the records and didn't still [ __ ] win you got to win you got to break something it is 28 um rushing touchdown so that's just 28 rushing yeah 28 rushing what did he have in receivings that year yeah find out that find out that season for LT I don't see I don't see him Russian for 28 like yeah CC had 14 last year and then the previous years is were he's other was full seasons for him is 15 and 14 yeah um receiving seven last year and his other big year was four so you know he's getting about 20 touchdowns a year what do you have last year 21 21 in total y I could see a world cuz like people were like [ __ ] he's in the conversation and 1500 rush yards so remember those other guys were up close to 2K so let's say he has 1,800 rush yards he runs in 24 touchdowns 20 something touchdowns let's say R he has 800 rushing yards he R rushes for 20 touchdowns he has another say 600 receiving yards and catches eight touchdowns you think do you reckon he's the MVP well look at look at his 2019 season he needs to do better than what he's done previously well but he had 1300 yards 15 touchdowns but then he also had 116 receptions for 1,000 yards with enough four touchdowns yeah but he had wide receiver numbers as well and he still couldn't win the [ __ ] award okay so say he goes close to that I don't think he's going to do that but he could do better as a rusher and in this offense he could have 20 rushing touchdowns yes yeah uh like I think it it has to be a generational season like what LT did like what AP did to be able to win it otherwise it's just like who's the best quarterback this year and in their offense when they can throw it to KD or they can run a reverse Debo or they can throw it to a a lot yeah there a lot of variables there is there I like it I like that it's a conversation uh starter it's always going to be conversation yeah but load up if you like CMC at 51 bucks uh more realistically back one of your quarterbacks yeah exactly exactly yeah so 20 2006 he had 28 rushing touchdowns three receiving touchdowns 31 threw for two touchdowns yeah that's every preseason danan Thomas in 2006 was that season all right so let's talk some Big deals Boys CD lamb and Brandon auk just got paid Jamar Chase not paid just yet it's looking more than likely that he will put pen to paper hope file reports reports there a lot of fantasy owners that'll be hoping yeah cuz um the scenes a couple days ago where you know showed up to uh practice in no no kit casual clothes sett low and then [ __ ] off um so you know he wants a deal T higin still wants his deal as well like the you know there's conversation about what's going to happen with him and they got to keep one of them you'd think and can they pay both and no I don't think they can pay both so what do you do as an organization you take the slightly better receiver pay him overs keep him happy or say or you say [ __ ] Tan's still pretty good in his own right we don't have to pay him probably the same deal as as Jefferson or S bran kind of money yeah L and I money like options yeah it's like do you want to pay Chase 40 mil average a year um to be comparable with all the other wide receivers that have just gone or you know maybe you get Higgins for 30 or less so yeah and you know getting enough value out of that Big Challenge I I think if with that connection with b and the history they have there with like it makes a lot of sense just to keep him and try to keep him together but you know that's the the challenge with the salary cap so do you think he's as good as s lamb and Justin Jefferson uh not yet give him another year okay but I think he's comparable yeah but I think he's just younger and probably needs another year under his belt so like and like isn't he still in his second last year of his rookie deal like he might have can he get his contract um cuz he came out the year after lamb and I Denny so you know those guys are at the end of their contracts and now they're getting their big one where he's still probably going to he's a year away from where he should be I think he's a year yeah I think you're right yeah so you know they might be like hey just wait but he's also going like hey if I have an ACL injury like of course you know I'm I got the risk course they want the money early as possible I wonder how much say Jo B has in this as well like if you've got your franchise quarterback and paid him a [ __ ] to but does he does do they sit down with him and say you know how much do you want to keep your your LSU boy true here in The Bu Tom Brady but then you know they might also think that hey where the pack is we don't need first round wide receivers so we've got a generational quarterback who we'll just make do with what he got he'll make him good and we're the super yeah have you got that deal 2024 yeah and he's got he's got next year on his deal yeah yeah so you're right yeah but next year will be his the voidable year but it's the you know he'll get paid more at Market rates for that year but it's the last so yeah year five is the last year of his Rook deal deal which is what the other guys are just coming off so yeah it's a it's a headache for Cincinnati for their front office for Fantasy owners it's from what I'm hearing it's looking like they're going to put pen to paper yeah I think they'd be silly not too but um you know the 49ers tried real hard to trade brenon IU they couldn't really get a their Patriots would have been thrown out there yeah they couldn't really get a team that he wanted to play for as well like a good kind of combination of quarterbacks so um they ended up ponying up the money um so yeah we'll see how they go you had a little note in there about Mercedes Lewis yeah I thought it was interesting uh originally drafted an '06 um crazy following Year Joe Thomas Patrick Willis Darren Willis and Megatron all drafted 07 those four retired and in the Hall of Fame and put like that just resigned with the Bears um I think only to their practice squad but you know still in the league still fighting around how old he must be 40 he be up there say he was so he's draft 24 or 22 when he came out then yep yeah so if it was 22 yeah when he got drafted I think he's if he's not 40 39 yeah he'd be very close to it so and for a skill position that's all for tight ends man yeah well for any I suppose but the the blocking you know the the size and frame 40 40 years old 40 on the dot 6'6 265 pound athlete we're talking about here crazy very interesting uh Al Fantasy Draft was last night a lot of people would have drafted over the this weekend I would imagine uh normally we often do a like a little uh segment on on draft picks given that we like fantasy football so much we'll just talk briefly about it tonight uh I think if you go the strategy of I don't give a [ __ ] who my quarterback is in 10man league nonu Flex type leagues you're going to be fine uh from our draft last night 10man League these are some of the guys that didn't get drafted Jared gof Trevor Lawrence Aaron Rogers W in the last round and lots of people in the draft looking at the board took two quarterbacks yeah so I think if you wait if you haven't drafted yet for one and for two if you wait and take your quarterback late I don't think there's any harm in that but if you want a top guy obviously you're going to have to go pretty early uh our draft from last night third round uh was Jackson Herz Allan Mahomes that's in reverse order Mahomes Allen Herz Jackson is the way that it went stad and Richardson were fifth rounders uh and then there was a big sort of lull col col Murray and then yeah a big L and then lots of people getting their backups uh late on uh whether that be Tua Brock py Jaden Daniels gon to be your starter uh Justin Herbert you know to think Justin Herbert got in the 13th round uh pretty crazy Joe burrow uh so I think quarterback is deep as [ __ ] yeah and you know in in fantasy league realistically you only need one y um if you really want to hold um a backup for a long time then yeah that's up to you but there's you know if if 10 12 team leagues you're getting a top 10 or 12 guy anyway so you you might as well wait um if you're happy to get you know number 10 then yeah while there everyone else is loading up on quarterbacks load up on running backs and wide receivers so the injury risk for mine is too great I think to take a quarterback in the second or third round um you know different in superflex League I'm playing this year where I I took CMC with a sixth pick so they went quarterback quarterback quarterback quarter so if you can play two quarterbacks each week probably changes your draft strategy see how we go in that League yeah scoring is also yeah scoring yeah if it's six points a touchdown rather than four points a touchdown that's that's going to play into it differently uh but yeah it just in in 10man even 12 man legs traditional scoring uh I think the risk is a bit too high yeah exactly yeah so and you know for us we went pretty heavy on RBS um I think that was because uh Keepers were really heavy on wide receivers as well so yeah we have we have a Twan keeper League you can't keep for longer than two years uh yeah lots of the receivers were already decimated which also just confounded the fact that the top end of running back is crazy you can get yourself a samc or Bean or brce Hall with early picks then that like next tier of like Jonathan Taylor peo Gibbs Henry Jacobs Barkley mixing Kamar bit old all all really good and then it start it's like when does it fall off the cliff yeah like it's like Aaron Jones yeah okay James Cook yeah is it David Montgomery is like is that where it falls off the off the cliff is it javante Williams is it hope it's one after mon like it's like I think there's like really like that second tier of really serviceable guys and then it's like a point where it's like oh I don't feel confident starting that guy at all yeah I I I felt like inside the first two rounds was kind of you know that tier of running backs and then it was better value to Target wide receivers post that because you're getting number one guys um wide receiver ones on teams and probably get them with half decent quarterbacks as well so and Target them that way in our league top in the first three rounds there was 14 running backs that were chosen and it dipped off and it was sort of round eight onwards where we started kind of D Specky running backs just trying to find some cap running back on bad teams running backs you know was second year players that kind of thing that maybe have Pathways to starting so yeah I was pretty happy I got the two rookies that I really covered so um went went well for me in Benson and and Thomas ah and Thomas yeah I like both those pcks B I've got Connor H he's going to get hurt well you don't want to wish bad on anyone but statistically speaking generally misses a misses a couple games and if that happens early in the year say he doesn't have an ACL or an Achilles and he just has you know and Benson's on fire he has a knee us and Benson there's a good chance Benson can come and take his job yeah and I really liked Benson compared to Brooks and um Blake uh what's his corm um has like the top three running backs taken in the draft he was my favorite of the rookies he's just so explosive um home home run threat from anywhere so in good size so yeah really I think he's going to be air parent there um for Arizona it's just yeah whether he takes that job this year or next year next year and in a keeping League I think very smart pick yep uh other sort of rookie running backs uh we uh have uh Lloyd um from um Lloyd yeah from Green Bay AJ Dy U being out uh on IR so does he come back midseason have they put a line the season I think it's season ending I think they said I think he I think he's having next surgery yeah cuz it's going with him uh cuz it was pre Cuts so if you put him on ey before Cuts then it's season ending which is the same thing that happened to Elijah mitell over at 49 as well and um I really like Mason over there as a handcuff uh for CMC so if anything happens to CMC Mason I think he going to have a ginormous year yeah season ending injured reserve neck injury which is not good for a big F for for mine either it's a tactical roster move or he's having neck surgery yeah well I think that said the top he's having neck surgery in the head title yeah it says no it says neck I don't think it say so neck injury and neck surgery two different things yeah true uh but anyways regardless uh it's it's his season on ice and Maron Lloyd comes in third round pick uh may be an interesting one uh certainly if Jacobs gets y uh but yeah he'll be one to watch I think Brooks from from Carolina uh probably reasonably safe draft pick yeah he's going to sit for the first four weeks yeah you just have to sit in for a while um but yeah it's he's only got to beat out um jaah hubba um chabba hubba to to get that starting spot there so what what do you think about the running back room in Cleveland I went pretty bullish on Jerome Ford well they let foran go so Ford's basically going to be the starter how healthy can Nick chub get how quick yeah and you know outside of the the big powerlifting videos um from from chub he's going to miss at least four the first four games and see if he's right at five but four but you know I think they say on average for that sort of injury and his sort of age it's like a 30% dip in production is projected yeah um but he's also Nick chub and maybe he has an AP season like AP came back from ACL and in record time and you know almost went for 2K that year so uh I think the the traumatic nature of that injury as well like the slowmo like watching that KNE and the second time and the second time plays into uh you know the odds being stacked against him but he's also a freak so freak athlete and pre-injury you know I wouldn't laugh if you said Nick ch's best running back in the league y agree so uh yeah we we'll see I think football fans uh will certainly want to see uh the return of the chab mhm mhm uh receivers we spoke a lot about that top end we spoke a lot about them with their contracts uh Tyreek Hill also needs to be mentioned there um AJ Brown as well uh and then then again that sort of that elite elite level first rounders probably guys that get lots of targets and have good quarterbacks and then you go into guys that have lots of targets maybe aging quarterbacks not as good or you get to like um malague neighbors where you've got Sheet's quarterback but he might get 150 good Target this year so I think uh I think we've got our elates that we've we've already mentioned uh lamb Hill S brand Jefferson Jefferson's probably the biggest question mark quack play is going to be hard quarterback yeah but he he should get bulk touches so also the best receiver through four years ever and missed half of last season so I I think he's going to be fine uh my probably first question mark yeah and that's when I would start tier two would be at Cooper cup you know p incredible um you know how's how's he going to go being possibly a number two receiver uh big question marks around Devonte Adams I think anyone that watched receiver could see obviously all the tension there yeah well that the Raiders team I think is going to be a big challenge they got mchu playing quarterback and we'll have to see how how well they do but yeah outside Adams they don't really have a lot of options I think Myers is probably the only other one and he's been a little bit banged up I think L Marvin Harrison generational Talent he's still a rookie still yeah big expectations you have to see so again all these guys are going to be serviceable they're all going to be completely startable I just have them in tier two but that tier 2 is fat like you can have met Amari Cooper Mike Evans Mike Evans guaranteed go for a thousand so DJ DJ Moore a neighbors you mentioned Scary Terry Devonte Smith Debo uh then you know when does when does tier two drop off Mike Pitman I think is pretty reasonable is it Rashid rice you know question marks around is he going to cop a suspension if not you know you might have got P Mahomes favor Target in the sixth round like receiver's deep yep yep uh and then tight ends I think is is fun okay uh it's obviously we've got an aging Kelsey uh we've got an aging ish KD uh and probably a better a better real football player than he is a fantasy football player due to the blocking yes so we may have a bit of a Changing of the Guard yeah and a Target heavy team over there that's still in um you know looks his way as well so like Mark Andrews Mark Andrews I think's got a better outlook for situation yeah and then you got the young fellas that came out last year K Kade Le Porto of course um and MC Bryan I think the other one that kind of yeah those young guys there and how good can Brock BS be in his first season uh as well uh definite feeling of Changing of the Guard uh some younger guys that are going to establish themselves as as the leaders uh could definitely see Mark Andrews being number one and let's not forget Travis Kel is still pretty good very [ __ ] a really good qub very very [ __ ] good at football uh you had a bit of a funny one last night you said uh that you don't draft kickers uh in at all we have a league that has a kicker so he'll need a kicker by Friday y uh just in case someone gets gets shot or someone I supp we're going to have a little laugh about it because apparently he's okay it's only half true but Ricky pcel still alive who uh is the first round wide receiver from the 49ers uh got shot unfortunately yeah was on his way to an autograph session and a young teenager I think he was 17 wanted his Rolex um and they had a scuffle over a gun uh they haven't confirmed whether it was Ricky or the young fellas One but yeah they've both ended up getting shot um and Ricky got it in the in the chest in the uh there's a video of him getting the ambulance it looks like it's lower ribs like under his um peck on his right side so yeah so they were you know careful getting him in the ambulance and stuff like that but all accounts he's uh I think they say CR critical but stable but I guess that's cuz he critical he been shot he's in the in the chest but he's he's stable that is um it's not lifethreatening so hopefully he'll be okay he's probably going to miss um think SAR situation n car and yeah just wild wild west over there in some sometimes yeah in some regards it's very different to what we're used to over here I do have to say Brian Robinson coming back uh to that home game coming out to 50 Cent Many Men uh was pretty [ __ ] sick yeah so we might say something similar for Ricky piil uh sort of midseason this year yep quarterback watch week one we've got a few that'll be starting a few that'll be sitting and one that's injured Sean Runners through it yeah well call Williams is going to start for the Titans Jaylen Danel is going to start for the bucks uh Drake May will be the backup for jaie pret and what year uh what week rather does Drake may come in for jaob Bret in your estimation oh whenever jaob gets his first concussion fell yeah well he's already been injured he got injured in that he's quite injury Prime yeah so um I I think they'll try to keep him as the stter for as long as possible but yeah you know maybe a month uh we'll see hopefully it's longer for be as well how how good are these Patriots going by all accounts going to be the worst team in the AFC East if they void of talent so if they're all and four I think uh they just got to bite the bullet and start getting in some reps yep agree agree um very different situation at at Atlanta y for Michael panick he'll be the backup to Kurt Cousins and that'll probably be his job for the year yep provided there's no cousins injury I don't think Panic plays yep agree uh and then we talked about JJ McCarthy previously on injured reserve with the ACL injury and I guess the we mentioned him so uh McCarthy we're talking about a pre show he is going to be the first first round quarterback to miss the entire commanders season due to due to injury I'm pretty sure that's a shefner tweet too by the way what are we talking about really J Daniels starts for the commanders command oh yeah that's just notes that are written yeah no all good I was like wait this is news to me who the hell is J Daniel thank you for the fact got the second pick that's sick that's right WR [ __ ] and say [ __ ] that's not true all the time Jaden Daniels commanders yes um uh JJ McCarthy as we mentioned first first round quarterback to miss the entire season his Deb season due to injury which is crazy I can't believe that never happened before yeah uh I suppose there's a caveat there if there's any any injury concern going into the season probably not going to be a first and if they're going to start them they're probably not playing a whole prese season so there's probably a few contributing factors there and then the last one from the first round was Bon Nick and he'll get the start for the Broncos against Seattle MH uh oh that's what it starts at bux so start's playing for the commanders at yeah yeah yeah yeah we got four day four four and a half days until football is back love it here uh on the sky definitely one of our favorite American Sports uh but football is already back in some regards we'll have a quick look at what happened in college football today I watched bits and pieces Ko's got a bunch of college games which is good yeah I think uh a lot of the first week's games were games yeah exactly a lot of dominations one-sided games out this one to quote the great Adam Sandler um in [Music] what's it called long as long I'm thinking about the quote too much uh what do we used to have when you're at Miami we play a tuneup game you know Appalachian State kick the [ __ ] out something like that can't remember the movies name uh so there's a few tuneup games uh for some big names big ranked teams Tennessee uh Ohio State Texas Bama Oklahoma Utah all miss all running up [ __ ] basketball basketball scores on their poor opponents uh in fact one of them was uh I'll miss where TAA aora McMillan um he's a big 6'5 Hawaiian at Old Miss um er big receivers at all Miss no no sorry he's at Arizona he Ariz he's at Arizona sorry uh but yeah big big Hawaiian guy 10 catches 304 receiving yards four touchdowns yeah I think he did that before the fourth quarter as well though I think he shut him down halfway through the fourth so pretty handy Day at the Office yes yes good warm up there look for him in the first round next year but I thought it was interesting in Miami beating Florida so I guess a bit of the interstate well yeah Interstate rivalry there um and then of intra intra that's what I was and then Georgia beating clom Clemson a big name but kind of fallen off recently post Jesus gone to the NFL so um yeah when the Georgia Bulldogs are going to be good yeah uh George's ranked one uh I think that showed good reason today cuz Clemson's still me pretty good at 14 they didn't let him score a touchdown so go dogs they're going to be hard to beat uh and nice little story for uh Arch Manning throwing his first two touchdowns coming in garbage time uh won't get the starting job unless his injury yeah exactly he'll have to wait until is it Owens bar Ram users yeah goes to you know leaves and goes to the NFL um but yeah arie's got his time there like 19 or something I think it was he was eight from nine and for about 100 and through two touchdowns in this and yeah Texans absolutely hammered him Football let's go let's uh let's go from America's game over to the biggest game over in the UK I'm talking football the APL is three in their third weekend right now uh City uh the only Soccer - EPL team to win all three pool uh do go out and yeah probably go out and beat United I think in a few hours time uh let's quickly run through some of the results and probably the big story from the weekend was Raheem Sterling to Arsenal Chelsea going to pay out uh fa bit of his contract so he's making 100,000 quid a week from Arsenal and 225 from Chelsea still for Arsenal yeah not bad uh not bad at all they didn't get the win last night Brighton have started the season pretty well that was a one all draw uh interesting story here uh given that we haven't spoken EPL just yet uh I think it's a good story James Milner he's aged 38 he'll turn 39 this season uh he debuted for leads back in 2002 uh 636 games in the Top Flight uh Gareth Barry is number one Milner's two uh with 653 provided doesn't get injured uh he'll go number one yep uh this year uh has had Sten at Liverpool leads uh and is in second season at Brighton yep evid did you boys see the highlights from this my no I didn't but I did see there stuck on the bottom um this game like Bournemouth scored the three goals in like extra time or something wasn't it yeah essentially yeah two two in extra time and one at 87 minutes like just complet like biggest bed [ __ ] that I think I've seen in recent memory so the score was 2 nil at the 86 minute um and then BMA score and then they equalize an extra time and win in extra time so it was like 87th 93rd 96th and it was like the last play and they both haded like they both headed goals and like the evident Defenders are just like are you [ __ ] kidding me we've gone from three points to okay we' given up an equalizer that to losing within and being buried at the bottom yeah so going to be a very tall uh ask for him it's early at least is the Saving Grace uh Villa beit leester wolves and not Forest played out a draw if toown up uh in the Premier League uh that's Ed Sheeran's team so see a fair bit of him getting around at games they drew with Fulham brenford uh looking pretty handy 3-1 winners over Southampton Man City 3-1 winners over West Ham Che we missed a viking at uh at the Euros it's pretty bit of a shame I think for Norway not to be able to qualify it goes a lot to how strong Europe is compared to anywhere else uh but have erard and and Harlem playing together I think they'll be playing uh some big tournament football soon uh but yeah the last few rounds we've been reminded as to who the best Striker is in the world even if he wasn't at the Euros handy finishes as well the last one chipping the keeper uh he's very good yep uh Newcastle Spurs Chelsea and Palace they're playing right now United Liverpool later tonight you like arish arish slot slotting in there for the first few yeah yeah I mean I have haven't watched any games yet they play the middle of the night games I think yeah I do need to do a bit of catching up on the EPL well you can watch a little bit before bed I'm just conscious of the time now and that we're at 2:40 uh and we do have a quick final round anyways um and you boys catch this story so there's an Aussie Patrick yasbeck this was I just watched a video on the drive over to here this was his first game in in in the it's a term of a demon bro in the MLS I how he use it I don't actually know what word was used I've got a sneaking suspicion it was uh see next Tuesday as we like to say again here uh as a term of endearment it's it's has to it really depends on what was said before that word so if he said you're a [ __ ] see next Tuesday or no I I think going for the ball he's going here well I don't think it was to his teammate I think it was definitely to another team a player from the other team I was I thought when I first read this was race involved yeah did he call him a but they said aie slang so yeah well when I heard it I was like oh surely he's just call him a color see you next Tuesday or a something you know or put a sexual connotation on it put it put it that way I don't think that's been I don't think that's happened I think he just use the CW uh so for our any us listeners that are catching this um if that was to be implemented here in any football code there would be like we be playing resi in Imagine in NRL yeah every week the rest probably says it yeah get back in the Laine yes reminds me of a great arj barer bit when when he go when he goes we're two two hours 40 I'm going to swear on the podcast uh when he goes man you guys are on a different level of swearing down here here I I came into Sydney I was asking this guy for directions and he said yeah mate [ __ ] turn left over here [ __ ] turn right down here there three blocks down that way the Cs right in front of you I said Thank You [Music] officer sorry for butching your joke it is an old one uh but yeah funny funny story Patrick yasbeck uh two games and uh has to have some uh some some uh cancelling or some [ __ ] I don't know funny story yeah it's a term of endearment bro provided provided there was nothing said in front of it which I don't think I don't think has happened uh yeah Clash of cultures there obviously you've got the story there you can't see anything you can't actually oh yeah it does say it's been revealed that yasb Dropped a seab Bomb on his opponent which resulted in his suspension yeah the game was stopped for 5 minutes by the to sort this one out so like I've never heard this word before the cultural clashes here is so funny we're talking about NFL players getting shot and then were're like oh soccer player dro the SE he's [ __ ] out for two games the under 10 are saying that what are you looking at K that's good to have a laugh boys all right let's run it into a quick final round that's a funny story two weeks ago we haven't spoken about it let's quickly cover it because two weeks is old news in the sports podcast world UFC News that is for sure uh draus dupy uh and still not faf dupy beats Izzy uh has the true crown of Africa uh in the UFC middleweight division uh pretty good fight uh DDP wins doesn't let it go to the judges uh is he never been submitted like that before I think that the first time yeah most likely yeah I don't think he's ever I'm pretty sure he's never been submitted not not in quite a a while I don't think he's ever been submitted come from a kickboxing background and maybe like a first UFC fight but I doubt it because he went on his his like 10- win streak and then got the title so yeah I don't think so will chase that up anyways you can have a look at his losses there a decision to Strickland KO to Pereira which is the nothing recent what's that one there bovic was uh decision and before that he hadn't lost yeah they have been submitted in professional y MMA B yeah but of course he was uh knocked down and uh was on wobbly legs up leading up to that so yes it could have been KO yeah it could have been you know TKA could have been the way that it went but um yeah Ty say just jumped on the neck and that's all you right um I think it was pretty good fight B I reckon ezy was might be up a couple rounds as well yeah controlling but uh I think you got to give um D see the credit for his um Street brawler kind of style that he just finds ways to win and he obviously hits very hard um and has the ability to land a shot that really can stun you and then has you know the skill set to to finish off so yeah it's I thought it was a pretty interesting fight from that regard and still makes the middleweight division very fun you know Strickland's probably there Whitakers probably not far away depending on the fight with amzat and whether Alex per wants to come back down have they confirmed that Strickland is going to run it back I think that's what they're looking towards as the next one but there not off not confirm uh other fights on that card a little bit disappointing for the Aussies Kar France uh uh getting the early stoppage against Steve ersc uh Dan hooker interesting uh for the the kway yeah to get out and beat gamot who was uh heavily fancied in that one M and get fifth ranking in the lightweight division so he's right up there and Rosen strike uh beating Ty tuasa via split decision after which the judge got the boot boot yeah yeah he he said the c word and they were like hey like oh [ __ ] we're in Australia uh so great card good to see Perth mate what a weekend for wa people because the Wes played in Perth unfortunately lost that night so another uh big tick for South Africans and uh fro had their must-win game uh after the UFC was on so if you wanted to have a big weekend in Perth that that weekend you could have gone wab UFC Freo uh massive for uh the The Jewel of the West uh we got two weeks until UFC 306 we better talk about it briefly now sha Ali sugar sha sugar show gets morab valish vely in the bantamweight division uh pretty heavily fancied I'd reckon mon if you wouldn't mind getting some odds for that one yeah and it'll be interesting cuz the wrestling will be the challenge but then did well against um alir so we will see you can't can't doubt the the dude's Talent from a a striking aspect but um as long as he takedown defense is on point I he's not going to lose that if he stays standing up I wouldn't think yeah uh but you got to got to also remember that um his opponent is very [ __ ] good so yeah and again like I said it's just flipp if he if he gets taken down he's in [ __ ] trouble yeah it's so uh this is interesting I would have thought sugar sha would be a reasonably handy favorite this is would be more closer than that pretty much even money M yep yep no it is so morab is favorites $186 and shaa M is at $1.94 no other markets just yet so um stay tuned yeah Val really is 33 uh 17 and four he's put away some pretty handy fighters of late so hudo Yan Aldo he's defeated the his who with the divisions yeah I'm trying to see where his losses were hasn't lost since 2018 uh where he got choked out and the loss before that was Split Decision um can't see him getting knocked out very often no or ever yeah not in a long time ever I don't think there a choke decision decision decision that's him winning oh that's him winning yeah sorry yeah I think uh I don't think need read I don't think he's been knocked out so interesting for a guy that has knockout power and pretty much always wins by knockout to go up against a guy who's never been knocked out yeah some interesting things about him and uh stitches recently um floating around the social media but he should be right for this fight regarding the big gash yeah he well no he had a little cut uh in training like during the week so he had video of him getting the stitches and then that you know pissed off the UFC it's like don't put that out there cuz you know you're it's two weeks out yeah two weeks out it's pissed off Dan W yeah Dana mostly yeah and then there there's another video there much in it no but there you know he does you don't want to be showing Cuts gading into a title fight but then there there's yeah it's a small cut and then there's like two two three stitches um and then they he there's another video of him cutting out the the drags of the stitches after of his heel so you know and then the following day was out partying in Mexico somewhere so seriously yeah he's a wild man so I think he's conf yeah you know who else used to do that Jon Jones so uh yeah maybe confidence is is key here yeah and the co-main in that I think's the the girls I think uh Alexa grao taking on Valentina chevchenko yeah running it back for for there so yeah that's a pretty interesting fight there and then the Diego Lopez Anda that's a rebooking of the one that OA got sick on a couple weeks ago I think back end of this card maybe not as interesting but obviously the the two title fights etty what's interesting they're going head-to-head with Canelo as well uh and that by all accounts that Canelo fight is selling a lot better than youc one is yeah where is that Mexico I think because it's makesense it's yeah that weekend yeah uh and this is this is the one at the sphere hey correct ticket price Maybe yeah significant yeah okay that's probably playing into things yeah be experience sick event but I'm thinking if I'm over there and I'm the Aussie punter and I've got a there's no Australians on the card and well and I'm talking about my financial situation I don't know coup Grand L I don't know if I can go get a tour of that thing watch UFC there yely yeah been to F1 uh Monza tonight what's switch it the race is about to start about yeah three minutes yeah uh so Lando got pole Oscar F1 in Monza is starting second um so you know McLaren are coming for that Constructor uh Championship they're only 30 points behind now uh Max is going to start seventh with peris's eighth so they're going to have a real challenge in this race um it's a very highp speed uh tracks here at Monza so uh you know McLaren are heavy favorit for this one Mercedes have been pretty good as well and whether Ferrari can stay in touch will be interesting in the driver news Jack D got officially confirmed for Alp next year with gazley uh Kimmy an tell think is say your name but say his name is confirmed to go to Mercedes on the 18yearold and then Logan Sergeant who crashed last week in fp2 I think it was uh has been given the boot already this season and Franco I don't know how to say his last name but he's an Italian um I'm trying to get these Italian drivers up what it's there so Franco um Kinto yeah so first Italian I think in 20 years you know how to say that Italian it's exactly yeah exactly for those listening those listening like it's a fonetic name colapinto but then just put it in Italian accent and then just hey there you go so uh starting to heat up uh you know still a long way for Lando potentially to get the driver's Championship but it's not out real of possibility especially in a race like this starting well no F fun fact with Monza um person who places pole has not won in 5 years really y Oscar's in second place let's go yeah so we got pastri and Doan confirmed for next year and Ricardo is still 5050 so you never know he might get the three strains it looks but then again if Ricardo's out maybe Le Lawson comes in and we'll claim the Anzac have we potted since pastri won hungry that was yes we did we about it we on the last one okay okay good memory yep we talked about it bit a lot of [ __ ] uh anything else to add from mon no it's about to start and uh hopefully the Aussies do well Ricardo is 12th starting I think out outscored Yuki as well so that's good for him and his competition for a seat there is so much [ __ ] sport on go go get him out uh shout out to Alex poin this was very close to Shad a US Open beer worthy but yeah knock out the Joker yeah the Joker is gone from the US Open uh and it also means no Mages for the Joker this year did get that elusive gold medal what was inter yeah what was interesting the three medalists from the Olympics are already knocked out in the US Open wow uh alarz and silver they got the bronze but he also got knocked out someone did sit no CA still in uh let's have a look so they're up to round of 16 cner Paul so some interesting stuff about cner with his uh doping well what they say the physio had rub some cream some elic cream into him that's right uh my day job is physio uh I don't know this is I think this sounds like a very good fall job from his physio I remember Ray Lewis and his steroid cream on his arm at one point uh yeah to me it sounds more like needles but anyway I think if and this is all allegedly small small that's right if there was something in there that shouldn't have been uh and sin was aware he failed two tests allegedly alleged no well that's not alleged that is true but what I'm about to say is it's just alleged um if uh if C has been juicing up he needs to go talk to his juu man because his arms are not the do's arms at all yeah but maybe he's going the land Armstrong yeah that is true aspect of it because that's the type of sport but uh I think the the two-tier system as you will where you know maybe s's getting a bit of favoritism being up the top there and there's other people been lower in the division you know and that was I think curios actually was talking about this you know having 12 month 18 month 2 years suspensions for similar uh instances but because they're lower in the tour rankings they're not getting the same love so yeah interesting CA is in there he's the number one seed he takes on Paul Mev boures Draper masak sorry for any mispronunciations uh interesting the Aussies uh get each other in the demon and Jordan Thompson uh going up against each other Casper rude Taylor Fritz uh Nakashima and Zev rublev and dimitrov and our boy uh Australia's favorite son over the last 24 hours Alexi poin uh going out and beating Novak jovic in the third round 64 64 64 64 62 64 y just wanted to say that probably ma for [ __ ] podcasting but anyways Alex po get around him does mean in the mens there is three three Aussies in the fourth round uh look still some massive names there the B yes you know the big one but verev medev rublev all pretty handy uh amongst others uh but our best shot at a men's um champion in uh in a long long time definitely uh let me jump over to the women H that's qualifying give me one sec give us a bit of full time uh F time here boys how we going in that in the race they started just yet they're about to line up and then we'll get the start they're waiting for the last driver to come in which is the salers who are being Dreadful so far this season uh they're going to have a new driver lineup next year thank you great feel uh ladies that are still left shant bla Goff uh so kind of the opposite of the Olympics uh all the big names kind of bummed out in the Olympics or went there uh due to you know some war going on uh so shant sinka G Pini Pula chin that's seeds 1 2 3 5 6 7 all ready to go is that someone out in the race yeah George Goes wide but he's going to have to give that position back he will lose a position position what the hell is that thing that they just went through yeah yeah the runoff area so he doesn't get any gain Advantage he's got to go around it yeah oh Oscar down the outside oh get him Jesus he's he's taking it and then that's forced Lando to lose another position to uh is that Charles or science it's going to be one of them he might lose two positions he's a bit off the pace is that Oscar way out in front now Oscar's in the lead let's go let's go let's go uh let's Wrap This [ __ ] Up what uh we got golf golf Golf uh so let's Wrap This [ __ ] Up with the Rich's Golf Tournament in all time ever is a leader board last I saw it's chefs to lose Scotty shefer has had the one of the alltime years he's won two majors he's won a Olympic gold medal and he's won a [ __ ] ton of money and uh in about 12 hours time he could have a [ __ ] ton of more money uh because the uh purse for this one is $100 million of which $100 million of which first place takes $25 million us uh interesting format that the PJ has been going going into the FedEx cup over the last few years yes really like it yeah so it essentially gives you uh an advantage for playing well throughout the season so winner starts from 10 under was it and then it goes to 8 under for second and then I think sequentially back uh from there uh to fill out the field of 30 so you play well throughout the year gives you a good chance of winning uh on final day now Scotty has been in this position twice before and hasn't been able to win The elusive FedEx Cub just about the only thing he hasn't won over the last few years yep uh and going into Sunday I believe was still uh leading uh how's it looking there m oh yeah 26 under uh Mori Cara is 21 under it would take some kind of Almighty bed [ __ ] from Scotty to not win his $25 million tomorrow uh being five shots out in front and it's essentially a two horse race with theala uh what's that nine shots back uh at 17 under shawl 16 Wham Clark 15 Adam Scott good on him 15 under yep uh so looks like they're playing for second and third here uh and we talk about um you know people being deserved of things I think in sport uh the dragons probably not deserving unfortunately of playing uh finals footy Outro um Scotty sheff on the other hand deserving I think a big bag of money uh given the way that he's played this year yep yeah definitely that's a bang on three hours it's about as long as we've gone in recent memory thank you to anyone that have gone the distance with us it's September it's a big time in the sporting world if you're an Aussie because it's 40 finals it's a big time for us as NFL fans uh plus we've got you know the Pinnacle of golf tennis F1 getting to the pointy end big things happening in biffs um par Olympics shout out to all the amazing Olympians that we haven't even spoken about on this pod that are out there backing up uh the especially the Aussie Paris uh out there backing up uh the able bodied from a few weeks ago same would go out and swim with no limbs and doing crazy crazy [ __ ] saw the 1500 meter Runners uh you know the Utes going at it Aussie just got run down the other night and I was like I wonder if I I'd be as quick as a guy with one arm then I looked at the time and I was like holy [ __ ] there's like they're only like a touch behind like fully abled people it's incredible uh you know how some of these these athletes can perform uh you know not being fully fully able so shout out to all of them uh what next time we're on whether that's a couple weeks just about a month between drinks uh here uh we'll have footy finals real pointy end we'll have uh the first look at how the NFL season going to be shaping up uh same with the APL uh although APL goes much longer uh and we'll be pretty close to having a look at the NBA yes yeah true tune in next time here on the esy we'll clip up a few funny things please if you're here uh listening this deep Chuck us to subscribe on YouTube Facebook insta uh and we'll be back in a couple of weeks time to talk all things Aussie Sport All Things us Sport All Things World sport Sean o monks it's been a pleasure as always enjoy the rest of this F1 race and I might even catch a better at EPL before I go to bed yeah all right thank you catch you next time bye bye
