Banning smoking in pubs in the UK ? Good idea ? I remember smoking carriages on slam door trains

so interesting political um debate today talking about banning smoking in pubs in the UK is it a good idea well there's pros and cons isn't there um smoking is obviously bad for People's Health nobody's going to deny that but in a lot of pubs they have a smoking area I remember when I went to University um I used to take the train up to London and they still had smoking carriages in the train and um my dad smoked I I I actually quite enjoyed passive smoking sometimes I ended up in the smoking Carriage on the trains um yeah the old slam door trains shows you how long ago but they did actually ban smoking in trains probably a lot of young people don't know that but once upon a time you could smoke in trains and um yeah the old slam door trains yeah gosh those were the days but you know if you suggested to people okay let's restart smoking on trains you know people would say no you're crazy that was banned years ago yeah I remember being on on a train not that long ago and um you know you get that funny smell of weed somebody was smoking weed on the on the train and um you know whether it's smoking weed whether it's smoking tobacco it is the person's choice but it isn't it is an addictive drug nicotine is an addictive drug um I think this is the thing I mean is smoking good for you not really but people say you know there's what was it CBD or something you know um that they have the the sort of chemical in weed or whatever it is you know that can be good for People's Health you know so Banning in smoking ban Banning smoking in pubs in the UK I don't know why he put it out there I don't know why Saka even mentioned it that they're considering it I mean there's pros and cons but let's be honest I think there's more important issues than talking about smoking in pubs in pubs I've been to um in the sort of Garden area they might have like two or three tables people can smoke at and the other tables you a non-smoking and that's outside obviously it's nonsmoking inside is it a good idea well they say they're considering it yeah I think they should consider a better use of time because you know it really is like the pubs in the UK having a hard time anyway you know anything that gives the pubs in the UK a harder time you know I mean it's almost like Saka come on good luck to you all the best but this you should be considering other things you know um maybe come back to it in the future but I think Banning smoking in pubs is a very low priority very low priority um is it a good idea there's pros and cons there's pros and cons it's not going to stop people smoking they'll smoke at home they they'll smoke in other places you know I mean most um a lot of these sort of places like factories they they got a smoking area outside you know personally I think you know people say oh is it being a sort of Nanny State I think this is my opinion pubs have an outside area yeah and in some of the pubs I've been to there are smoking tables and there's nonsmoking tables outside so that seems to be a happy medium cuz you can sit outside away from the smoking tables depending on how big the pub is and you know you won't be affected by smoke and outside you know let's be honest what's the big deal you know outside smoking um yeah I mean I remember people smoking on the slam door trains years ago you know I quite liked the smell of smoke I I don't smoke but you know it's quite a nice smell the cigarettes and the stuffy carriages probably most people don't even remember that but yeah I was at Uni at the time so there you go what do you think
