you know they're PL they're supposed to they're having a tough time um yeah nothing else is really going on nothing crazy yet uh Al garez though he's playing we got Ruku taking on Kennan as well after the quarter match so during this match potentially we could be watching that as well um so yeah so it's going to be a big big uh big night of tennis p is playing later Pini uh on rescue starting now as well great match up there uh that should be an absolute Banger um Tommy Paul's playing sonic go L Stam [ __ ] is playing right now as well it's crazy anyways let's get the preview these guys have that one but um yeah it's it's an interesting draw when it looked a lot harder before Shao lost I tell you that Shao second round would have been a nightmare for um for Al CR but I think V will be a little bit more manageable uh depends though but he might have a tough match tonight and we might be thinking [ __ ] five sets tonight that would be awkward going into the next [Music] round all right played a couple of Futures events in in um uh in in Australia Terran I should go to the Terran Challenger it's literally it's not down the road it's probably like four hours away but Terran is in um but usually the young players come through that system Futures to challenges to main tour but you can get guys like you know two who you know five four years ago was playing Futures at 25 and now he's here so it's it's just sort of like yeah it's a third tier division basically third third tier of competition but it doesn't it's not exclusive to you know under 25s or anything you can be 30 in playing Futures and uh you know come through that love for 15 15 yeah the third tier of tennis all right two serves fault second serve how's the ankle looking I think it's fine I watched him a little bit in practice the other day and he looked fine so I don't think I don't think uh double by the way I don't think alcarez is uh he wasn't as in pain as it was what the fourth tier of competition I guess then it breaks off to like local comp um or like college tennis um yeah like if I was in Australia for example it' probably be like utr um like utr paid events or like local competitions where you money tournaments on a local scene um yeah it's probably different for every country but yeah it's it it' be Futures is like the the first level of like International International tennis I guess and there's different ranks in that maybe we should break that down one day love 40 that goes wide by ALC 1540 um like within the Futures ranks it's kind of like the ATP we've got Grand Slams 1,000 500 250 in the Futures ranks you've got puppy you've got you know I think it's like 12 is it 100 uh then you you've got like 70 60 50 20 and that based on how much prize money is worth so 20 you know 20K for the winner if in the in the in the future 20 or the M20 or whatever they call it now so it kind of yeah maybe one day we'll uh on a rain delay we'll break it down as we return now from alar and two puts in the net double break three love oh challenge yeah so challenges are so Challenger 125 to 75 and then it goes 50 25 15 10 or something right so they have all these numbers uh it's funny because once we get to the ATP the 250s don't count for prize money it's based on points but I think the challenges and futures or maybe it's just the Futures the number means how much money you make not how much point and maybe the points are maybe it is points too but uh like a I think it's like a a Futures 25 is a 25k future which means you win 25k if you win the tournament I don't know if you win 25 points though watch the uh tennis Brothers they'll know um Felix will know because he he's been going doing that you know um challenge oh so challenges 1275 is 175 points okay so then it must only be for futures that um holy [ __ ] that is a lovely picture of a sun Skyline and a sunset Futures is the money and yeah the challenges are worth is based on the points yeah the names are based on the points but yeah it's uh yeah it' be an interesting interesting deep di because every country has a different different I guess it's a pathway to the pros um and also every country has a different amount of uh or every every area I should say region every region has a different uh amount of opportunities in Australia for example there's not that many opportunities to play Futures and challenges because unfortunately we don't have those so that's why a lot of players that do well from Australia don't stay in Australia they usually go to Europe because Europe has all the all the Futures events or more Futures events right um it's probably no surprise that a lot of the men's tour is European they're doing really well because Europe is where all the big or where all the most of the Futures are you know um so for Australians you know demon or is a great example right he left at a young age luckily his family were multi you know uh were were International I guess and uh you know but then there was a guy like kios who stayed in Australia through the the sports but he obviously was way more talented than most so his talent got him through to the the pros but then like poin as well he went overseas he went to Europe as well um you know so yeah if you want to a lot of the time Leighton was different Leon was an exception but also Leon was the '90s so any it's 30 uh 30 love was
