okay you ready to mix this up because we starting off with the football I know I know a little bit about that a little bit a little bit well listen everybody in case you didn't know the NFL season kicked off last night and so did Taylor watch and that's because uh Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs they took on Baltimore uh but you need to calm down you get the reference is what some football fans are saying because not only did Taylor make headlines for being at the game last night she was also featured in the NFL season promo not once not twice but five times okay so Milt should the NFL have featured Swift so often last night what they they only featured her five times only five I would have featured her 50 times right would you she's the biggest Entertainer in the world right now yeah if you could get I mean she has a following like no other why wouldn't you use her as much as you can I know some people are a little perturbed that they're using her but hey if I had an opportunity if I was NFL I'm using her each and every opportunity I get yeah I can understand why some fans are a little thrown off because football and Swift for some fans are two very different worlds and to have them Collide it would be a little bit jarring it's like if I'm watching my real housewives and all of a sudden it's inter cut with like CPAC I would be like no it's like two Foods on a plate you don't want touch it yeah I he you know but but but I but you have to understand Taylor Swift has a following like no other she has a majority of her fans probably who aren't football fans but they know Taylor Swift's G to be on TV they'll tune in and they'll watch and that's why the NFL is us okay okay but I mean five five times like I it just seems a little excessive but the truth is and I don't know why this is coming out of my mouth but like football already had a big following before Taylor Swift can we just say that people watching before while she had an uptick like among a certain demographic I think that that upti the season overall my understanding is last year was up overall just overall so I mean I guess I just take it from the perspective and maybe I'll ask you is if you were one of the top players in the league and you're watching this promo and instead of you being featured in it you keep on seeing Taylor Swift's how are you going to feel you feel well you have to get over it these owners are all about the bottom line what's going to impact the bottom line and a player with a helmet on who most people don't even know who they are because they have a helmet on compared to Taylor Swift she's going to impact that bottom line can we talk about that bottom line so last season alone Taylor Swift she is one person on this planet increased the brand value of both the Kansas City Chiefs and the NFL by over over $300 million yes she so here's the thing the paycheck oh Jess I'm so glad you asked that because she has brought so many new viewers new eyeballs NFL even though there's a such a strong following for the game you know who they don't have enough of is women so who has Taylor brought to the table not only women but young women and you know what's great and she's also bringing fashion in a whole new way can we take a look at what she was wearing last night at the game can we take a look okay listen T the reaction was not great you know what this outfit says though but you know what that outfit says what put me on television that's what that outfit says so I think bottom line means something she's maybe not asking for a paycheck but her probably life partner we don't know where it's going to go Travis is not only directly benefiting from her being there so are the Chiefs and so is the NFL they couldn't afford the paycheck that they would have to pay Taylor for what they're getting for free so put her in all the promos okay okay we want to remind you uh so much football on the social today you can catch all of the NFL action right here on CTV and on TSN hey you come a bit closer we've got so many more musty interviews spicy debates lifestyle tips and pop culture moments so subscribe to our Channel by tapping the logo below and don't miss out
