another solid day put yourself right in contention through two just what's working so far well today was a lot better kind of more relaxed day uh I know yesterday was firmer and more wind so that made it a little tougher but I hit the ball better today hit a lot more Fairways um you know hit the iron shots better wedges better so got some more chances so I'm happy yeah you were kind of right on that top 50 bubble for a lot of the back half of the Season how relieving was it to even make it here yeah I mean it's it's it's tough when you don't have the best you know that top 50 schedule so I I I I I played a lot of like decent golf this year a lot of like you know finishes from 10 to 20 25 and and you need to get up there a little bit more to get up the the rankings so by statistically looking at Strokes gain that would point to you're playing maybe some of the best golf you have in your career is that how it feels yeah I I've been pretty steady um hitting probably more FES and greens than before uh just trying to you're never happy you know and and today was a lot better and and how I played you know in Valhalla this course reminds me a little bit about that uh also Nicholas design so um just just trying to elevate the the long game a little bit from the last few weeks yeah what do you see as like if you're having a lot of those solid 20th finishes what do you feels like been the difference between that and getting second a win well just just uh when I've been playing good T green just the putting that's been missing so um so just trying to get all the pieces together um and just you know not think too much about the putting and well any part of the game you know just trying to do the work and not think so much having made the top 50 but kind of outside that top 30 knowing you need a good week how is that kind of have you approached that mentally yeah it's it's kind of a nice feeling you know we don't usually have this in golf and and uh it's you can be a little bit more aggressive and you got you know only upside sort of and uh last week was a little tricky mentally I was not feeling great coming into the week like a little bit sick but it didn't really hinder my game but with the heat and everything and then all the mental you know issues with those all cuz that 50 is I mean it's it's a very tough you know line to draw there so you got to be inside it yeah do you have a decent experience playing at altitude what's kind of your experience there yeah I mean we always played in Europe we played that cronier was always altitude so I'm pretty good with 10% and it's been working so far um you know it's a it's a little tricky on the caddy with both the altitude and the elevation changes so um so you know I can see them like being a little bit more stressed this week feeding them a bunch of water I know I'm like come on man uh H how would you characterize your season so far yeah I mean I'm overall pretty happy there's some things I don't like about the game I'm playing but uh the times it's been really good I'm really happy like the open I played pretty well at PJ valhal played really well um some of the tournaments I finished pretty good but maybe haven't felt that great so I I'm looking forward to an offseason where I can you know work a little bit more on the technique with my coach trying to get it a little bit more neutral is there a part of your game you think's holding you back from winning uh I don't know like it's you know maybe in the past I've been you know better at Strokes game putting than I am this year but uh you know it's GNA it's going to be fun to just since I moved to America seen him a little bit less so I'm just trying to maybe take a flight over to see him a little bit more I know he's got some he's got some great players over in Europe so uh but he he's a Matt belum is my coach he's a huge huge help even if he if I can't see him as much as I did when I lived in Europe but he's a huge help where's he based yeah London London thanks
