WHAT’S NEW IN BEAUTY? Very Demure Trend Trademark, Kourtney’s Lemme Lawsuit, New Releases & More!

you had to be living under cave if you hadn't heard the new trend very demure very mindful however there is a little snafu with this trend going around we're going to talk about it where it originated and what is going on with that we are also going to be covering the latest Kardashian lawsuit with the brand lemi by Courtney Kardashian we are also going to discuss lots of new releases since the last time we talked a few new faces in some luxury campaigns the Ulta 21 days of beauty sale starts on Friday and so much more so if you want to hear more in this week's beauty news then stick around and we're going to Dive Right on in hey guys welcome back to the channel I am Sher and this is a little series I have started doing where I just come in each week and we share what all is going on in the beauty Community all of the latest and beauty news any gossip that's out there as well as a lot of the latest and newest makeup releases that have already dropped or are dropping and I kind of share a little bit of my own little style of a uh purchase or pass um but just kind of let you know if I have my eye on it if I might pick it up and why so this is my third one now and I didn't know if I was going to bring you guys one this week or not because it's such a busy spoilers week but let me tell you there is so much going on and so many releases have dropped just to the last week since the last one that I brought you that there's no way I can skip because you guys I'm like oh my God gosh they are keeping me hopping so we have a lot to cover today lots of new releases lots of things to talk about lots of things to update you on so let's get started also keep in mind that I do put timestamps in the caption so if there's certain categories that interest you more than others you can look down at my caption and Skip ahead to whichever parts are more interesting to you so I think that in the past I've kind of kept the beauty news at the end let's talk about it up front though we'll start off with some some beauty news and kind of Gossip I guess so the first thing that I wanted to kind of let you know about was this trend out there I know you all have probably heard it by now it's on all of the reals it's a sound now um all the Tik toks and a lot of people don't even know where it came from but it's definitely the latest Trend and that is the whole very mindful very demure I'm sure you've heard it so I'm very cutesy I don't do too much so on and so forth okay so if you're not familiar with where this came from it actually has started and originated with a Tik tocker who is a transwoman and her name is Jules LeBron um so she had done this Tik Tok just a few weeks ago and she was getting ready for work doing kind of a get ready with me style Tik Tok and she was kind of just sharing how she doesn't do things over the top she doesn't go in with like a green cut crease that's like crazy and dramatic she just keeps it very simple and she says very demure very mindful I don't remember if there's cutesy in there but anyway it blew up it became a huge thing and went completely viral and now there's all kinds of memes out there it's a sound it's it's everywhere and um I've been getting it on the animal Tik Tok feed as well on that algorithm my family we all send each other cute animal Tik toks all the time so I've been seeing like every cute little animal out there with the little very demure and very cutesy little Trend and it's really cute okay so here's what's going on though for LeBron so when this all blew up it was actually quite exciting for her because she became pretty famous pretty quickly and this made for major potential money um lots of views on Tik Tok and a huge like marketing mine you can definitely do all kinds of merch on this and overnight become a millionaire and I think that she was looking forward to using the profits from what she's made from this new found fame or could potentially make for this from this new found Fame for her uh transition like surgery or what have you well all of a sudden out of the blue Here Comes somebody else who trademarked it I think this last week so they trade marked the phrase very demure very mindful his name is Jefferson Bates somebody out of Washington I don't know if anybody really knows who this person is but they have filed to trademark this phrase and now LeBron is highly upset because I mean she's the one who kind of said it on the map right um so it can take a while to go through trademark you know sometimes it can take like up to a year to get a trademark established and whatnot and so they are saying you know there's a lot of um attorneys out there and like Consultants that are saying that she has a really good case because you know there is the whole rule of date which means you know if you're the first person to start using that phrase actively and having it be viral and whatnot you kind of probably have more right to the ownership of it and I think also if this baates person is not active yet they don't have as much of a case either they need to be actively selling like merch and whatnot with these phrases on it so it'll be interesting to see what happens with that um some are saying that she has a very strong case to oppose it or to try to trademark it herself but she had kind of waited and had not gone forward and actually trademarked this so it is presenting a dilemma for her but that's kind of an interesting piece of beauty news because this definitely was originated in the beauty Community now so we will see this play out probably the next few months or year depending on what she decides to do about this little trademark dilemma and it's just an interesting timing because you know some of the cases I've been bringing you guys here and talking about have involved trademark a lot lately we've talked about dupes um you know benefit and elf at the moment um I have a whole video out there about all of the uh Brands and high-end items that elf has duped and it's kind of caught up with them a little bit there's also MCO beauty that you guys pointed out to me that are huge dupers and it's like unreal and they just recently even duped um glow recipe and it's like the exact same looking product and there's just it's like wow how do they not have more lawsuits we talked a lot about trade dress in that video and all so you can go watch it there um but we have been talking a lot about trademark recently in my first video I brought you in Bey news here we talked about Road and how Haley Bieber was uh being sued by another fashion company called road because she took the name and so yeah we're just we're seeing a lot of trade Mark issues here in the beauty in the beauty news so it'll be interesting I will keep you updated if I find out any more about this and then next in news we have Courtney Kardashian's line called lemy lemy and what it is is it's a bunch of supplements so it's a lot of gummy supplements and they target like different things and all of them have the beginning name of like L me I don't know shine or glow or whatever and it's like a supplement targeting something that's going to help you have more more glow I guess I don't know I can't remember what all pieces there are but there's two products in particular that she has and has marketed and one this is going to get interesting guys one is called leny purr which I think is brilliant marketing though by the way um you can only imagine what this supplement is for it is for vaginal health I can't even say it without laughing okay um and so ly purr is targeting vaginal Health make some claims about uh helping the smell I'm going to leave it at that okay and so and you know I mean I've seen this before like help things smell like fruit you know I don't know um there's another one she has called let me de bloat and that one targets more cellular energy and metabolism and whatnot now she has launched this brand in September of 2022 and has put a lot a lot of investment into marketing influencer marketing I haven't been reached out to for it I'm so intrigued about this ly purr though and um so there has been a class action lawsuit filed though against her brand saying that and I quote um she has violated consumer rights by misleading and deceptive marketing products so basically they're really challenging the effectiveness of these products and do they really do what they say they're going to do and are they going to lead people to make bad Health decisions not consult doctors for example if you need gummies to help vaginal Health perhaps you should be Consulting your doctor if you've got you know say like you've got a a yeast infection or something like you need to get that treated you know um and not ignore seeing a doctor and Consulting for things that might need to be addressed but think that you're just going to pop some gummies and it's going to take care of everything um and so there's also um you know I was reading a little bit more into it from a couple other places I think one of the questions was how the trial sizes and you know they do like clinical studies on some things and so their little trial they were used using much higher dosages in the trial than what they are selling to the public and so it's like uh it's not going to be as effective in the doses that they're selling it in um so that will be interesting too this class action is being built right now they are reaching out for people to join in it and as a matter of fact if you've ever purchased these products you can contact them to be a part of the lawsuit if you wish so I just figured I would put that information out there um um so yeah maybe not this isn't so much beauty news as much I guess um but you know I think the reason I bring it up is because you know we just recently had a Kylie box Takeover in the Macy's Beauty Box and we were all just talking about the Kardashians and whatnot and of course you know each of them has Beauty Brands Courtney Kardashian has really backed a lot of beauty products and so it's just it's like they're kind of intertwined throughout the beauty community as well so I figured it would still be interesting juicy information all right I also mentioned that we of course have the big Ulta 21 days of beauty sale if you don't already know and it's not on your radar I do have a full video out there sharing my tips my recommendations and my wish list so you can check that one out I'm also dropping a bunch of shorts this week that just kind of break it down into items that I already have and I'm just kind of doing try-ons for you of things I recommend so you'll be seeing those shorts so look for those and um this is ahead of the sale so it starts August 30th for like the general public now if you already have like a reward system where you're a part of Ulta's rewards you might have early access to it already right now so check that but most everybody is going to start August 30th and it goes until September 19th and the way that the Ulta sale works is every day you are offered 50% off on like every product there that's featured but they just kind of feature different products each day um so very exciting I have my wish list I will probably be bringing a haul too and again check out my recommendations and be watching my shorts also you know for ideas on things you might want to pick up we also have this isn't really huge news or anything but just was going to update you that we've got a few new faces in campaigns espec especially on the luxury end now I usually have a special section in here that's more luxury news so this probably should go more in the luxury section but I'm kind of putting it in the beauty news section so we actually have Angelina Jolie who has joined as the face of the Tom Ford Runway lip color campaign and so just we got a new face here basically um what she's featuring in her the big ad is going to be the shade 16 Scarlet Rouge that's going to be the signature shade the red I feel like she was made for like the red lip like when I think of a red lip I would think of somebody like Angelina Jilly or like the big perky lips you know um so anyway I think this is fitting but I figured I'd mention it in case you were really interested in that particular red lipstick shade that that's the one that it is from her camp that campaign and then we also have Rihanna who has now joined as the new face of dior's uh iconic jador perfume and I have a little sample right here I don't have the full bottle but but I got a sample in one of my deor purchases and so in the past it has been chariss thoron I I'm sure I don't say her name right chariss Thon and so now it is going to be Rihanna instead and so I did want to kind of give you this connection though um I don't know if you know the owner it makes sense because the ownership is the same so uh Dior is owned by lvmh which stands for I know I'm going to butcher it Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton okay so obviously LM VH also owns Louis Vuitton it also owns Sephora and it owns Fenty okay Fenty Beauty which is of course Rihanna's brand so just to give you that little connection there I don't know if you guys knew that it is like one of the largest Cong conglomerates out there in the world it's owned by Bernard arnal Who is the third richest person in the world so yeah um but anyway and so an L mvh actually is really known for being like a pioner of really inclusive shade ranges and so you know sometimes we haven't always had a good mix of like deeper skin tone shade ranges and whatnot and I think Fenty has been pretty revolutionary in that and why she's so popular is um it's definitely a big big brand for women of color because they know they're going to have those deeper Shades finally for them and so I think the the owner lvmh in general is kind of known for really inclusive you know shade ranges and whatnot but anyway I just wanted to kind of tie all that together for you you know a little update on that so I think that's everything in like the beauty news let's talk all the new releases you guys oh my goodness so many things it's like every day boom boom boom everybody's busy I think this is our busiest time a year for makeup and Beauty launches everybody is gearing up from for the holidays and Black Friday but it also gets really busy around fall like all the new fall launches you have Halloween and spooky season and then you go straight into the holidays so this is always like crazy Beauty launch time and we're also going to start seeing like all the holiday launches all the Advent calendars it's just going to be like non-stop from here I'm G to be very busy I can tell you that this is also coincidentally like the busiest wedding season too here in Florida so yeah as a freelance bridal makeup artist just letting you know okay so um one thing that I'm seeing here is a lot of concealer launches this week we have like concealer is the product of the week it seems like there's a couple in luxury uh that's concealer maybe I'll save it for the luxury news more of the luxury new releases section um but we can go ahead and talk about the other ones that aren't I mean they're still up there uh but not what I would consider like top luxury news so first of all we have mac who is coming out with new concealers I'm really excited about this it's their Studio Radiance 24-hour lift it is going to hydrate and brighten and be infused with a lot of skin care and a lot of the concealers these days are like skincare infused concealers which I love and it is so much more hydrating less creasing and all of that so we should be seeing that line from Mac I think that this is not out I think it's just coming soon I don't have dates yet for that one so moving on we also have the mean girls makeup Revolution collab um this looks pretty fun this is going to be released September 1st it'll be available at both Ulta and Target I love the names on some of these you're going to have burn book palette on Wednesdays we wear cream blush Ena George lip gloss Wiener's lip gloss fetch brush set uh get in loser blender I'm a mouse headband like you have a few other things so yeah whole collection there and that's pretty cool it looks like a neat little theme um so be looking for that one I will probably pass because I'm not huge in the makeup revolution in the formula I like the sound of like the cream blush it's fun on Wednesdays we wear Cream Blush like I might have to pick pick up something like that maybe really it's just because of the name we've also got that peanuts and profusion collab I mentioned before just to update you guys it will be available at Walgreens starting September 4th so just wanted to give you an update on that one and then another collab um this is interesting you have rare beauty that is doing a collab with the Hulu series only murders in the building so she's going to have a little um Duo set it's called AEL moa's go-to Duo it will retail for $30 it's going to include a soft pinch liquid blush and a lip oil so the liquid blush is going to be in a new shade called resilience and the lip oil is going to be in a new shade called delight and then it'll also include a little mini puffy keychain thing for 15 bucks so that was interesting I guess just a little collab with that series I don't watch it so I don't know much about it but anything rare Beauty does is big news so I figured I'd mention it and also to update you guys did you get your Dolly lipsticks ah that was so exciting so she did launch we talked about it last week what I didn't realize though and update you guys on was that she also has a bunch of fragrances out there so I'm really curious about them I haven't made my order yet cuz I was considering trying her fragrance and I don't know where to start a lot of it looks very like Tennessee whiskey inspired or something almost like it looks very intriguing it's all shaped with her little butterflies I just I love the packaging and design like this is I am definitely a sparkly rhinestones and butterflies kind of gal like dolly is just she's I just love Dolly so like I really want to try her brand but I did want to mention there's also fragrance and so that's really exciting we've also got abh coming out with some new volumizing tinted brow gels I am all about abh and their brows their brows are like probably one of their number one the sellers you know that they're known for is like the Brow Wiz and whatnot and so I'm really curious about these they're coming out with nine new shades going to be a quick dry formula waterproof should last up to 24 hours wear and just be a buildable formula that's going to help you know give you extra texture on the Brows this launches September 5th on their website and with other retailers okay guys and I may have to just make a little visit out to Bath and Body Works and bring you guys along for another little vlog V I brought yall one right before the Halloween collection launched but we still were seeing a little bit of The Stranger Things candles that were out and I gave them a Sniff and review for you oh they were awful I'm just going to go ahead and give you that quick um summary they were awful like one was like a pizza candle it was terrible and even the sweet ones were a little too sickening milky sweet is the best way how to describe it I think the waffles one might have been the only one I kind of liked if I remember correctly well anyway now they've got a whole other set of stranger things collections out there you've got candle holders you've got wall flowers you've got uh antibacterial soap You've Got Hand soaps so lots of new little collections so I think it's already there we got to go check them out um but just so you know all of the rest of like The Stranger Things has launched and with good time kind of in time for like spooky seasoning alongside with their Halloween collection right another big deal I think is going to be some makeup by Mario has some new setting a new setting collection out it's going to be both setting powders and setting spray and then a little Powder Puff also so with the setting powders um all of these are part of his surreal skin and he's going to have new soft FL setting powders retailing at $38 yeah and the um soft blur soft spray is going to be retailing 34 the Powder Puff will be 18 so with the setting powders you're looking at seven different shades um and they're supposed to not have photo flashback which is exciting to me that's what I always look for as a makeup artist um blurring giving off like a natural finish I will be so excited to try these out so I'm very tempted this is something I might possibly pick up for sure I'm just interested in the setting powder though I probably won't do the setting spray or the um powder Puffs but I will say like I mean makeup by Mario's products are stellar and they are amazing for makeup artists and a lot of his stuff is like the number one sellers at Sephora um so I think this will be a big big deal we also have Sigma who I just recently tried my first eyeshadow palette from and fell in love I am obsessed with my new palette obsessed with the formula with everything but they have a new Little Mermaid collection and I'm so here for it I'm so excited about it um this includes an ey shadow palette with 14 Shades that's all in that like Little Mermaid Shades and whatnot it has a little lip set check out the name okay dingle hopper lip cream and then you've got some lip oils too and you've got little highlighters and blushes that are shaped in shells how cute is that um and then you'll have like a brush set also so this is going to be coming soon so look for that I am very tempted I really want it yeah I'm tempted and I grew up with like The Little Mermaid that was kind of my that was about middle school for me when it came out so like I had we all we had a little Club me and my friends and we all had little Little Mermaid nicknames for each other yeah so like this was this was like my Disney movie growing up another one I'm kind of interested in because I've still never done calerie they've got some liquid blushes coming out I love the color shade ranges on these they're so beautiful and like bright and just cheerful the pinks and bright orangey corals and stuff so I'd love to try one and so and these are going to be infused with nice camide they're poor minimizing it's supposed to be a cream to powder formula though but they look like they're in tubes of liquid blushes so I don't understand that so that'll be intriguing but it is coming September 2nd okay and then another one I'm really excited for I am an ofra girl and so ofra is actually launching lip oils now and so they have um this latest little launch I think it in they also at the same time had these little blush lighters which those look amazing too it's like a little mix of blush and highlight how cute is that that launched already on the 26th and their lip oils are out too already and they're they have hoba oil in them is kind of the predominant um oil that's nourishing and whatnot and I think they have like a little Trio set they got like a raspberry a pink color and another one maybe might be a clear shade but I just I'm I'm really wanting to try their lip oils now and if you know me you'll know I'm big lip oil person so just figured I would mention that one I think that's everything in the regular um new releases we got a lot to talk about in luxury now so let's talk luxury releases so we got a little Peak at the Dior holiday collection or at least two things from it I don't know if there's more oh these look so beautiful just the ornate packaging on them and so oh I'm very tempted on this too I'm a Dior girl also okay so what we're seeing here is a multi-use palette as well as an eyeshadow palette and so these are just the first uh photos that have been released of them so they'll be giving us more details soon but they look beautiful to me I mean you you are still looking like you've got some a mix of like fall and wintry colors in there you got like a dark purple in there you got a little like burgundy fish you know but then on the multiuse one you got a little more pinks so we'll see then we've also got new fragrance collection coming from Creed and this launches September 4th you've got two new scents in the Amber universe and so one's called centarus um and one is called delphus and they're both named after constellations so centarus is going to have notes of tobacco Sandlewood bourbon vanilla from Madagascar and then um delphius will be have notes of orus and bourbon vanilla and these are going to retail $400 to $500 ranges probably not the cents for me but well I mean it's like cologne I believe um so maybe a lookout for my hus but I figur I know Creed is pretty popular so figured I would mention that we've also got some lip liners from Tom Ford um they're going to be coming in eight different shades at Sephora retailing at $46 and we have Gucci so Gucci has these new glow powder gel highlighters coming they drop September 2nd $59 I'm kind of tempted I I'm always tempted by the luxury drops I have to admit um okay this excites me too so Armani Georgio Armani you know recently had had launched the liquid blushes and they were so cute and they were like part of the Luminous silk collection they look a lot like the little foundations and they were really popular but they were launched around the same time as it just seemed like all the luxury brands well everybody really was launching liquid blushes at the same time well now they're following up with highlights so they're very similar to those little liquid blushes but now it's going to be liquid highlights and we're going to see them in five different shades um it is it's going to include micro Pearl technology like pearly Illuminating fluid basically and it will include niacinamide and some skincare infused products so all I know is it's coming soon I don't know a date yet but I'm really excited for these we've also got new YSL lips guys so many things tempting me okay so this is the inks vinyl cream so it looks like a little liquid lipstick but it is actually a cream cream formula I believe seven different shades um lacquer formula and some skincare infused as well so those are coming soon too those really I mean they have that classic like YSL look where it's always the little the tube I don't know how to describe it but yes they look very YSL to me very intriguing also I mean I love all their lip products but their Love Shine are like the best so I don't know we'll see if I find something even more favorite thinking that they're going to be more pigmented though than you know just our little Love Shine oils and whatnot so like giving us a different option all right we also have The Hourglass palette here this is the ambient lighting palette um retails $90 and it's the Barney collab so this was designed by um Barney's book illustrator uh KN Kim I'm sure I'm saying that wrong and so it's like you know this very limited edition it's only available for a few weeks here I think um it's going to include blush highlight finishing powder bronzer I mean it's the same palette they always do over and over and over again with just a different design so that's one thing about hourglass I really really truly feel like all you need is like one palette of theirs and you don't need anything else because it's always the same thing like they don't really come out with anything new new you know it all looks alike to me and I've heard that a lot from other people too we also have the Chanel cream to powder blushes that I had mentioned back when I did the Chanel um spoilers Video Collection and we talked about what all was coming for the fall collection but on the side they were doing these new blushes they're already out um I started to get it but it was you know I don't have access to like a Chanel Boutique and it of course it's very um what's the word exclusive like they only sell to certain people sometimes at first and so I'm not in an area where I can get my hands on them as first access um so you have to wait until it if it's if it's something that becomes available online so I think they might be out there now but um they so they have launched and these are those those really pretty tones that you know I talked about they're called I can't even pronounce them Zeus constate cream to blush cream to powder blush um they retail For $52 so um I know several people have already put out reviews on and everything I watched and so yeah I like I was considering getting it but I may hold off and do some other blush but I'm definitely still planning to get stuff on the main um Chanel collection as soon as it drops I'm hearing the rumor is August 30th so on Friday which whenever this airs this may air Thursday or Friday so it may be the same day so we'll see all right and then that leaves us with the last two luxury items which were the concealers that I mentioned before okay so first we have Victoria Beckham that's coming out with concealers these are going to be luminous concealers 16 different shades they will include lots of skincare infused ingredients including squala one of my favorite ingredients so hydrating they will retail for $68 woo oh you know what they're I think they're out now actually I'm sitting here saying they're coming out no they've already come out I think so I think they are available now I've still never done Victoria Beckham she is definitely very high-end luxury $68 for a concealer yeah I don't know but then the last one is Westman atier um has vital skincare concealer and these will retail for $48 much cheaper than Victoria beckhams they will include ha peptides will firm and hydrate and should be like a medium to full coverage so I don't know how many shade ranges yet um so I'll have to check can update you guys when they're out I am interested in those because I've been really still wanting to do West West montier I haven't done any I certainly want to do more like blushes or something but I I always need concealers that's one of the top things that run out and a good quality high-end one I'm I'm okay with getting so I think that I might want to try theirs over the Victoria Beckham ones but then I also really want to try the Mac ones so I don't know I might get one of these concealers and I don't know which one yet so stay tuned all right but that's everything everything for this week's beauty news and new releases that I know um so yeah any of these that you're planning on picking up or interested in and also let me know what you're interested in in a review from me I'm not going to promise to bring them all because things are getting expensive with how much I've been collecting um and in these lines you know I'm already planning to get the Chanel I may get the or holiday I don't know um I will probably get like one or two things here and there you know especially interested in the makeup by Mario setting powders and I'm especially interested in one of these concealers
