Kansas City Chiefs are gonna play a game of football I'm fired up I don't care if it's preseason I don't care if it's mostly going to be me watching third and fourth stringers who aren't going to make the roster the Chiefs they're going to be out there they're going to be in the chief's uniforms and it sounds like Patrick Mahomes and the starters are going to get some run as Kansas City goes down to Jacksonville to take on the Jaguars in the first exhibition game of the offseason I'm fired up uh again my name is Patrick Allen here at the Arrowhead Addict podcast OG hour we got a fancy name for official or unofficial depth chart is out want to talk about what we are going to expect or hope to see in the game against the Jaguars uh and then we've got a reader mailbag uh that comes all these questions come from our members who are the backbone of what we do here so we appreciate you guys and uh and then we're going to do some uh reviews over on Apple podcast as well so shout out to what actually it makes me a little bit worried to be honest with you I know this day is coming that Travis Kelce is not going to play football for the Kansas City Chiefs forever but when I see you know the fact that he's got things going on outside of uh he's just you know he's going to be a he's going to be a personality right like like when IR Rock left the WWE he's already hosted Saturday live things like that so um I'm just a little bit nervous he's he's doing are you smarter than a celebrity which is gonna Premiere October uh on Prime video so obviously he's not gonna be doing it in October he'll be playing football for the Kansas City Chiefs um oh my high Luke says excuse me if he three pets he gone man I don't know about that he's got a new deal I think he sees it out um how do you walk away after winning three when you got a chance to win four if you're if you're still healthy and all that stuff uh sloth sloth sloth slothy style says dude he filmed that game show months ago that's right it's filmed it's in the can so we don't have to worry about it distracting him from football but it'll just be more Chiefs saturation for the United States so I'm I'm sure people will just absolutely love that but look Travis Kel is a star man he's a star on the field he's a star off the field and he's going to be racking up the dollars doing all kinds of different stuff I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up in an NFL studio show as well like his brother who's fantastic by the way um Rob Miller says four p and then he ride off into the sunset okay I I can I I could probably live with that um and Jay wward says I was gonna say you might try to win four in a row if you still have one year left on your deal yeah absolutely get that money as well okay so that's something you could check out if you're into game shows I'm not a big game show guy myself I don't know if I'd go out of my way even to watch Travis host kind of like a mediocre game show not saying it's going to be mediocre but there aren't too many game shows that I'm like are appointment viewing for me uh I got too much football and sports to watch and and work and a baby and all that stuff so I'm not sure that that's my cup of tea but hav happy for Travis on that one uh another big news item you might have heard about this week Harrison bucker has gotten a 4year 25.6 million contract extension from the Chiefs 17.8 million of that is guaranteed money he makes a makes him the highest paid kicker in NFL history uh which if that wasn't impressive enough for you he negotiated the deal himself um so look I know some people are like Mad at Harrison bucker because he had a graduation speech earlier this summer or spring where some people thought he was you know exposing some outdated or sexist ideas I heard it I have an opinion on that you don't care about my opinion on that Harrison bucker you know we live in America it's free speech people don't like him because of his his personal views that's fine I don't think he's some kind of monster or something he seems like a nice guy to me I might not agree with everything that he said in that speech but um I as a football player like you know he's been a he's been a model citizen since he's been with the Chiefs and he's been a fantastic football player and that's what I'm there to cheer him on about when it comes to football so um he's been awesome man like he's you know you might be worried because the Chiefs they got to pay my homes they have to deal with all of the the cap situation that comes along with that and can they pay Harrison bucker all this money should they make him the highest pay kicker in the league which he is now and the highest pay kicker ever I think so man look you gota this guy's scores points for you like I know people like to make fun of kickers and stuff and act like they're not important they score the the the points they score they they're hugely important um and they often are put in in high leverage situations and this guy has been one of the best to ever do it he's building a Hall of Fame resume so far do you know who has the highest fueld goal percentage in NFL history it's Justin Tucker in Baltimore at 90.2 do you know who has the second highest field goal percentage in NFL history it's Harrison bucker 89.1 he's been incredible for the Chiefs he had one season where he was injured and that definitely Drew down his average so so check this out so when he started with the Chiefs in 2017 and now remember they got him I think it was off the Panthers practice squad and they cut Kyra Santos who had been dealing with an injury Kyo Santos by the way has gone on to have a really nice career himself he is where is it currently 19th all time in uh field goal percentage for NFL kickers with 85.6 and he's kicked 133 so I would say that's pretty good to qualify um that's more kicks than Harrison bucker has at 107 so good for Kyra santz I always like Kyo Santos and I'm really glad that he went on to have a successful very successful career um but when you look at Harrison bucker career with the Chiefs okay 13 games in 2017 he hit 90% of his field goals 38 of 42 including being a 10 of 12 from 40 to 49 yards and four of five from 50 yards 2018 uh 88.9 2019 uh Chiefs won the Super Bowl 89.5 made huge kicks That season was 34 of 38 2020 92.6 that's pretty good uh only 25 of 27 but still 92% um 2021 89.3% so he has been outrageous at about 90% And then he has the injury to start off the 2022 season um he's banged up all year and he only makes 75% of his kicks 18 of 24 only played 13 games and um he has had his struggles with extra points uh 38 of 41 in 2022 but last year in 2023 38 of 38 so he's got that taken care of and oh yeah he hit 94.3% of his kicks and he attempted the third most of his career he was 33 of 35 and of course he made these huge kicks for the Chiefs and all of these high leverage situations and the playoffs to win Super Bowls so you know if you think that the Chiefs shouldn't pay Harrison buter because he's a kicker or because he gave a graduation speech you don't agree with I don't know what to tell you man like this dude he he gets paid to make kicks and he does that as good or better than any kicker in NFL history he's he's nipping at Justin Tucker heals there I mean he's absolutely now Justin Tucker I think Justin Tucker is the goat you look at um his consistency how many times he's kicked the length he kicks I mean he's just fantastic he's got a 66 yard that guy's unbelievable but Harrison bucker if he could keep it up staying with the Chiefs now he'll be with them for four more years he keeps winning man it's hard to get into the Hall of Fame as a kicker you know vinary obviously he's unbelievable um our Nick Lowry was a really great kicker for for the way things were back in back in his time kicking but come on man Harrison bucker is going down as an all-time great Chief because of those moments right that's what vinary was great but he was also like the clutch kicker and and Harrison bucker man he is right there shout out to some of our members I see in the chat I see slothy style I see some other regulars sea and Jay or and Casey d Justin appreciate you guys so um all right let's uh what's slothy say here from what I hear bucker has been kicking him from the ARA distance Arisa distance in Camp we'll never see it in a game oh that's incredible um all right so that's that that's the big news so moving on the chief's unofficial depth chart came out now I know when these come out every year everybody says like well I don't pay any attention to it it's an unofficial death chart it doesn't mean anything well look you know it varies from Team to team right some teams really don't pay bich didn't care at all about that thing um I think he purposely made it confusing but Andy Reid generally like what you see is pretty much what's going on it doesn't necessarily mean everything that you might see on paper but like Andy Reid's not going to come out and put Carson Wentz as the starting quarterback and Mahomes is the backup just to just to screw with people um so the depth chart is out and uh you know which they have to do ahead of these games right so um take a look at it uh I'm gon to tell you what stood out to me looking at this thing okay so um and we've got it on the screen of course you take a quick look obviously we're not going to leave it up there forever because you can't see my beautiful face but um I'm GNA pull it up here myself so what stood out to me about this de chart uh the the big thing that jumped right off the page at me and and let me know in the chat what jumped off at you first is your starting left tackle is Kingsley Su Matia um look Wan Morris has had some injury uh issues in Camp so you know that's part of it uh he he kind of started with the starters early in Camp but Kingsley has if you're reading the reports on and Twitter's a great if you're not on Twitter and look I don't recommend it but it is a great place if you're a Chiefs fan if you just sort of narrow your sphere the people that you actually want to hear from and interact with and if it's Chiefs football well there's a ton of great Chiefs content creators on Twitter you can find me there at rpatrick Allen um but look around man like there there's people in Kansas City I'm in Chicago I can't go I can't get to Camp but like there's people who are out there they're put uploading just regular fans media members you know highlights from their phone they're tweeting what they're seeing and what what you're hearing from everybody about Kingsley is that he's looking really good he looks ready for the moment now look it's training camp it's practice and this but still for a second round pick to come in in Andy re training camp and kind of quickly establish himself as maybe the starting left tackle for the world champion two-time defending Champion Kansas City Chiefs that's no small task and if they didn't think he was ready um there they would do something and so I think his situation is one of the most intriguing to track throughout the course of the preseason because look the Chiefs need him to win this job otherwise you're calling up Donovan Smith or you're trying to make a trade or figure out what are we gonna do at left tackle or you're gonna have somebody else play right tackle is wan Morris ready obviously W Morris if they thought Wan Morris was for sure going to be ready to be a starting tackle for them this year they wouldn't have drafted Kingsley so you know what they did in the draft kind of told you what they thought of w Morris doesn't mean he's bad it doesn't mean he can't even start a right tackle or left tackle at some point but maybe right now they feel like he's best used as a swing tackle he did some good things when he was pressed into action last year wasn't a complete disaster but you want if you're a Chiefs fan Kingsley to be the guy uh or W that would be fine too because they're taking in the second round their contracts are super affordable and if they're paying Jaan Taylor over on the right side of a lot of money and they're looking the reports from Nate Taylor are that they're going to try to sign Creed Humphrey and Trey Smith uh in the coming weeks which a lot of people thought there's no way they're gonna be able to keep all these guys it's gonna be too expensive they a lot of people were were guessing that maybe Trey Smith would move on if they sign all these guys they're paying Joe Toney a ton of money they're sinking a lot of money into that offensive line and trying to keep that core together which I think is a good idea well you can't afford your a to pay a your guard's a ton of money your Center's a ton of money and your right tackle a ton of money if you're also paying your left tackle left tackle money so getting Kingsley to work out as a second round pick and he's not gonna be cheap but he's not gonna be like Trent Williams top of the league left tackle guy that buys you time to cycle through until if he is what you hope he can be he comes up for a contract extension and then you got some decisions to make so cross your fingers um and we'll talk about a little bit more later but be keeping an eye on him so that jumped off the the depth chart at me first um the the next thing I looked at was the wide receivers Hollywood Brown and rashy rice are your one two there then you've got Justin Watson and Xavier worthy no real surprises there right Justin Watson's the the veteran guy that they trust been with the team a couple years made some plays for them Xavier worthy obviously is going to probably play more than Justin Watson this year and rys and brown so those are your four that I think you could feel pretty confident are gonna they're going to make the team and we'll break down who I think is going to make the team later but then next you have skymore and Justin Ross um so you know they have this this depth chart like they're in the base set so just two wide receivers um skymore and Justin Ross uh I'm surprised that Justin Ross is where he is now again if you've been watching Twitter the Sports out of Camp have been that Justin Ross has been playing really well he's had he's stringing good days together he looks really good obviously he has um he's he's a little bit different than the other guys on the team in terms of the size and physicality that he could bring to this offense at this point I mean I think if you say Justin Ross to most Chief fans who aren't watching the camp chatter they're goingon to roll their eyes and be like this guy he's still around like he's never he doesn't do it if he couldn't do anything last year now he hads him off the field stuff because he couldn't do anything last year when there was nobody could catch the ball why are we going to expect him to take up a roster spot again this year well it looks like he's in the Run um and then you got Sky Moore there after that is mle Hardman and Nico rigio Nico is of course a favorite of a lot of chiefs fans as a dark horse to grab that last wide receiver spot but you got Hardman there on the on definitely on the bubble and then cadarius Tony and Cornell pal now cadas Tony as is his custom is hurt in Camp again um it I think a lot of people wonder if Tony would make the roster just because he's fast he's gadgety they've got this new kickoff Rule and all that stuff and we'll get to special teams in a minute but I don't know man like he's there but I think he's got it's obvious again with the injury too he's got a massive Mountain decline if he thinks he's making this roster and the Chiefs are telling you with this with this depth chart um me like they've got Xavier worthy now they've got Hollywood Brown they don't need cadarius Tony and all the baggage that comes along with him so I don't think he's gonna make the roster but we we we'll talk about that a little bit more later um off rest of the offensive line is you know like you would expect um oh it looks like we got a couple of super chats um bear that was awesome for them and you know these Old-Timers on the US team are really good and they locked it down in the fourth quarter another one from no punk rants $5 donation says you know what's wild Mahomes has the greatest career start highest peak in NFL history we don't talk about that kind of stuff enough go Chiefs uh you know I don't think we can talk about it enough I certainly can't as a long-suffering Chiefs fan um who you know suffer through Romeo Corell and Herm Edwards and all that like yeah man I I find a way to bring up Patrick Mahomes any chance I get um and then another one from from no punk grants $5 donation appreciate you man um Ross looks bigger and more physical noticeable difference he gives a big body him and Nico should be five- six Ross looks very healthy look man I want this guy like he the physical tool set that he has and the difference that he brings to the kind of like the wide receiver core that we have right now I want him to work out I want him to make the roster he's he's big physical I want Mahomes to have a jump ball guy like he's never really had anybody like that for the red zone for you know one-on-one situations while people are worried about dealing with Kelce and and in Hollywood and the rest of those boys yeah man that would be fantastic um he's just got a string it together I mean he hasn't really done anything of any note on a football field in a long long time so he's got to be healthy he's got to stay out of trouble and he needs to string some some some good games together um Dwayne B comparison I see in the chat yeah absolutely Justin ha says Russ is 65 right yeah I believe that's something like that he's he's a big guy big boy um okay like I said uh offensive line what you would expect here um running back position Peko right where he's supposed to be at the top of the depth chart there's been a lot of Buzz about generic prince in Camp and I think he's been getting some run with the ones but on the depth chart it's still Clyde Edwards Air who the Chiefs brought back Eric Prince and then you got the rest of the guys uh you know Ingram lrz who we'll talk about in a little bit and Monty Bailey um look there's a comfort level there with c one thing Andy Reid does do especially early in camps is if he's got a veteran guy and look Prince has been around but not like C has been if he's got a veteran guy oftentimes he'll and a lot of coaches do this like they'll start with that veteran guy early in Camp because even if they know and I think maybe that's what they did with W Morris that at left tackle like even if they know they're probably not going to be the guy and they got a new guy they're sending a message like you got to earn stuff it's not just going to be handed to you and especially with your veterans like maybe you bring in a more talented guy that's G to take that starting spot from that veteran but you still might need that veteran and you don't want to demoralize them and make them feel like they've got no shot um and so you know you start them out does that mean that daer Prince is going to overtake Clyde Ed's delir no it doesn't but there's a comfort level there with C we'll see how he runs I like how he ran last year he was bigger gave them a little bit more of a hammer there's been some talk that the Chiefs might want to have a little bit more of a downhill running game this year um so he could fit in nicely to that obviously peo does he's a hammer so let's wait and see but we'll watch how it goes and how everybody runs in the preseason um and then lastly this is a fun one the fullback the Chiefs have a fullback again and Carson steel I believe he played at UCLA um so there you go right I mean why did CH us have a fullback again downhill running game right so um that doesn't mean that they're gonna he's gonna make the team but I uh I'm down man I like fullback position and I like you know I know Andy can put tight ends in there sometimes but I like what San Francisco does with Kyle usechek and so if they've got a guy like that and I don't know much about steel yet um I just think when you have a play caller like Andy or Kyle shanan and Andy did some stuff with with fullbacks in the past as well it just gives them one more tool in their toolbox right one more thing that they can do to try to impact things confuse people um so I'm ex you know I'm excited that uh that they've got this guy and I hope makes the team and they they use fullback so um another another donation from my guy no punk grants uh says but can we talk about how Mahomes is ranked four in the top 100 how do you give him an underdog card off a repeat it's the most mind-blowing thing to me I can't remember did we talk about this last week when did it happen I've been tweeting about it um y'all I don't know man like look I know they make the list in like a weird way and it's the players are voting during the season season and so they're looking at like the stats and how guys are playing during the regular season and you could try to explain it away and be like well the receivers are bad mom stats weren't great you know he wasn't in the MVP conversation really but like it's called the NFL top 100 and if that's the case if you're only looking at the season Aaron roders was on the damn list that guy played four of snaps they were terrible snaps by the way what is he doing on that list so you know if if I'm a football player in the NFL right now and somebody's asking me who's the best player in the NFL making a list I don't care if Tyreek Hill scoring seven touchdowns a game and Tyreek Hill won he was number one by the way he's fantastic bro the best player in the NFL is Patrick Mahomes and maybe this year they'll get it like maybe this year even if he doesn't have like a crazy statistical career he'll be back at number one because they're just G to be like oh yeah you know he just right yeah sloy s to be fair Rogers did make one first down on his four steps I love it um yeah come on it's uh it's Patrick Mahomes he's if you're making a list I saw somebody tweet this I can't remember who it was but it was really funny and actually spot on they were like if you were making a list of the best NFL players ever Patrick Mahomes wouldn't be four on that list and I agree with that there's been some amazing players but quarterbacks most important position on the field and he is already up there in the Mount Rushmore of quarterbacks it's like Brady Montana and Mahomes as far as I'm concerned right now so um it's Patrick Mahomes that's it uh and then you then you rank everybody else um get out of here miss me with this thank God though thank God because Patrick Mahomes you know he watch you know he's gonna get Petty and at some point during the season just like with the Raiders and the Kermit thing it's going to come out uh and and it's going to be it's going to be great kcdc says obviously Rogers voted for himself indeed uh all right let's go over to the defensive side of the ball um not a ton here one interesting thing that you'll see is that um when you look at the cornerbacks chamari Connor is listed as a as a cornerback um so you've got Trent McDuffy and Joshua Williams Jaylen Watson and nezi Johnson and then eeko Boo and Jamari Connor um so it he's not listed his safety on this again it's the base set so your safeties are are Justin Reed briyan cook and then it's Jaden Hicks and Dion Bush you know he's probably playing some nickel um and we'll see how we'll see how good he is but that's that's what I'm thinking when I see that is he's gonna be playing nickel Corner a bit for them um I'm excited about Shamari Connor he's really flashed so that jumped out at me your linebackers Drew tranquil Nick Bolton Leo Chanel No prizes there and then behind them Curtis Jacobs Jack Cochran and Cole Christensen um they get a guy named sways on the team sways Bowman isn't that a great name third string linebacker um and then along the defensive line another thing that jumps out at me here is Mike Dana is your starting defensive now look Mike Dana's fantastic but he's smaller he's more of a pass rushing guy I'm glad that he's back and then you got FAU behind him and then Charles menu who's probably not going to start like he's coming off that bad injury um I'm a little bit concerned about FAU man look again Mike Dana certainly has earned that spot it doesn't mean that and that's where they say when they say don't pay attention too much too close attention to the dep chart like Mike Dana could be listed there but then play fewer snaps in FAU but um and we'll get this when we get to the Jaguars game but like I'm going to be keeping my eye on FAU this year in the preseason can he make the jump didn't really make an impact at all last year um he's got to make some movement forward or you know you're starting to worry about bust territory um and then you got chk Wharton at defensive tackle uh then Mike panel um I think Dereck NAU's back there he's been banged up um he's he's after Fabian love it um yeah man I think it's it's sort of a situation there where you know you'll see penel and penel and Wharton switch in and out a lot um depending on the situation so I wouldn't get too worked up about about that um and then you got Chris Jones of course and Furious George caraus so no other surprises we'll get to special teams in a minute um we got another no punk is just bringing it with the interaction today and the donations appreciate another $5 donation in my opinion at this point I think the quarterbacks are fighting to be the number two spot I think two is vacant no one is close in my opinion um did I say quarterbacks did you mean quarterbacks yeah look a quarterback it's Wentz and then uh Chris I never know I let me let me look I got the pronunciation guy down here because I want to make sure I get his name right and I'm sure that it's on here is it as hard as I think it is where the hell is it okan okan is that how you say it I can't find it on the pronunciation guy okan anyway he's never really shown much in the preseason I like the pickup of Wentz I think they'll go with two quarterbacks this year and be done with it um you know Wentz is is talented Andy Reid's great at working with quarterbacks so I feel comfortable I feel more comfortable with with Carson Wentz is Mahomes backup if he had to come in and spot Duty or because of a minor injury or even a game or two than I did about bla Gabbert last year who did not look great in the last game of the season although they still won um so I feel fine about the quarterback position if anything happens Patrick mahom season's over um so um yeah Sean Browning says FES retired from the NFL in the chat that's right um jayward says Shan Shane Bushell was slinging it last preseason did he catch on anywhere um he has to have right Ola doen okay I got you um now he's slinging it for Buffalo that's right he did he went to Buffalo I don't like that um I I always liked him but I look they they protected Shane Bushell they kept him around for a long time and maybe it just they just weren't seeing it they just weren't seeing the development that they were hoping for with him um okay let's go to special teams uh Harrison bucker mat Riser the punk God I'm I'm excited to see him in the preseason game um and see if he can he's still booting it I'm sure he is um James Winchester the goat as your Long Snapper and then so your punt returners Xavier worthy micole Hardman Nico rigio and your kick returners are Nico risio micole Hardman and then Lewis ree zamon so this is where it gets really interesting for me because as a receiver you you got micle Hardman and Nico Rio at like the five and six slots and then in the return game you've got niik Rio and mcole Har mccole harman's two in the punt returner kick returner so that makes you wonder like okay they're going to use Xavier worthy as a punt returner and niiko risio as a kick returner because they think niio is going to make the roster has they got him up there at number one or just right now he's the best kick returner that's really really interesting and then you've got micle Harman is the Twan in both of those spots and remember there's new kickoff rules this year which you also see there's preseason games tonight um you saw it a little bit with the Hall of Fame game but there weren't too many fireworks with it where there's two kick returners back there like that so um a lot of people thought that the Chiefs gotot Lewis Ree zamon to be like the one of the guys in this new kick return the former rugby player um but he's back there uh in the very back and I think I saw somebody earlier saying he's not going to make the team um yeah look I mean they're they've got him at running back right but he's Pacho Clyde Edwards AER and Eric Prince keante angram and then Lewis Reit so right now the way that The Unofficial depth chart is this dude a making the team if he's if he's not doing it on special teams if he's not if he's not like moving up the running back why are you gonna put this guy on the team so now look again this guy played rugby so if I'm Andy Reid and Andy Reid's a player coach and he understands players and he gets it I'm not ramrod in this guy who's never played football before even if I want him to be on the team and the first depth unofficial depth chart that comes out I'm not ramrodding him ahead of all these other guys it's just not smart leadership uh it doesn't mean and I want this guy to keep working because he's got to learn playbooks protections and all these other things so um I wouldn't read too much into it right now if as we get deeper into the preseason you know he's not moving on the step chart and he's not showing anything or he's not getting many opportunities if you're if you're a reic guy then you might start to worry um but right now I wouldn't I wouldn't Panic he's an interesting Prospect but that's all he ever was right um okay that's it for the depth chart um let's move on to the game Chiefs at Jaguars uh so this one I didn't do all of my prep correctly um so this one is Saturday night 6: PM it's going to be a nationally televised game so it'll be on NFL Network Chiefs at Jaguars uh right now it looks like it's going to be cloudy at 87 so uh warm but 6m kick might start to get a little bit cooler um spread if you care and you shouldn't and if you do I think you need to call the hotline is Jaguars minus one total of 40 and a half who bets on preseason games I mean look we have a lot of betting Partners here bet it's fun it adds a little action for me but man preseason NFL game betting on that Ian you might as well go get buy a scratch off you got better odds go play a slot machine and trying to figure out what's gonna happen in a preseason game just absolutely brutal um okay anyway it's there's a game there's Chiefs game on Saturday um so let me know in the chat like what are you going to be watching for in this game game so first of all I think the question at the top of everybody's mind is who's playing who's going to be out there playing for the Chiefs on Saturday night are they gonna play the starters at all everybody does stuff different right some people they don't play the starters in the preseason at all at all they don't play Andy Reid plays guys uh now there's remember there's only three games it's probably been long enough that you all know that now but I'm just it was four games for so long for me um so Andy said that the the quarterbacks and the strings that are with them will each get a quarter so you know that's Andy saying and he said this last year oh starters are going to play a quarter what that actually means is in Andy Reed speech is the starters will play a series um that's it man they're not maybe they'll play two series if something wonky happens like on the first play of the game momes thres a pass and it gets tipped and intercepted or somebody fumbles or they go three and out and Andy's like I want him to get like a little bit of a drive going pick up a couple of first downs um that's it right but generally he Yanks the starters pretty soon but he tends to play rookies a little bit longer so if say Kingsley sumati is out there I wouldn't be surprised if he stays in longer because they want to get him more reps and they want to get more tape on him and he's a young guy whereas like Travis Kelce he's going to go out there catch one pass and and that's it that's the end of it right um uh my guy Joe one of our one of our Ring of Honor members in the chat uh says um he's been a member for 21 months by the way supporting us for 21 months you're amazing man um and also kind Patrick congrats on the birth of your child go cheat do you think rice will play much Brown going to be the number one I think rice will play as much as momes plays I like maybe a little bit more possibly do I think Brown's gonna be the number one that's a really good question I I would not be surprised if it's if it's a 1 a and 1B situation with rice and brown when they're both on the field together because they may have them doing different things and they're they're probably going to benefit each other right when they're both out there and the way that the way that the Chiefs have been playing since since Tyreek Hill was traded has been Travis Kelce is Travis open are we trying to get the ball to Travis Kelce and then all the other receivers is who's open or who are we trying to scheme open so I just think it's going to be you know last year rice was the number one but not so much I mean he he was excellent was an excellent rookie season but it wasn't so much of like God rash R is so good that it was just that like he was the only one who could do anything for the chief's receiving last year other than Travis Kelce and so he just sort of emerged as the deao number one whereas now there's enough Talent on the field and then you know you throw in Xavier worthy in the mix where you could see games where Rashid rice goes off and and Hollywood has two catches for 22 yards and then the next game it's totally flipped on its head who comes out ahead at the end of the season I'm going to say I'm going to say R I'm gonna say Hollywood Brown because rashy rice might get suspended if rice doesn't get suspended I would say rashy rice because he's got the familiarity level in the offense it's going to take Hollywood Brown a little bit to come along they're probably going to use Brown as a deep threat a lot more than rashy rice and so those those opportunities will be fewer and further in between so I I think it's going to be I think like receiving yards I think it's GNA be Travis Kelce is going to lead the team in receiving yards and then rushy rice and then Hollywood Brown that would be my guess if rice plays the whole time um but yes uh thank you for the question Joe uh thank you for the question and um yes I did have a child his name is Rory he's 10 weeks old as of yesterday he's awesome um he pooped all over me today it was great um okay okay uh that's for that guy that doesn't like when we talk about personal stuff and and and infant um bathroom habits I hope he still listens just so he can hear that I hope he just skips to the middle because he thinks we're gonna talk about that stuff at the beginning of the end and he goes right to the part where I'm talking about my kid um okay next up uh I'm gonna be looking for in this game um is is obviously of course the rookies all the young guys but my eyes are going to be on Kingsley like how does he perform out there how comfortable does he look it's one thing to be doing it in Camp right it's a whole other ball game when it's a liveaction exhibition game and it's your first NFL action ever right so you learn a little bit about not just like can he handle the the jump up in competition but can he handle the pressure of the moment you know does he go out there on his first play and draw you know jump off sides right um slothy says five star review give me more baby poop stories oh you got it man I've got the kids got pooped for days um uh what's this what's this from uh oh yeah okay never mind um Evan says oh that dude must not have any should because listening to someone someone explain their struggles with TR makes me feel better about my struggles big summer blowouts all around Yeah man they say some of those diapers are like this has got blowout protection there's no protection there's no there's and then you take it off and you've got no clue if they're done like I I try I try to change the that kids diapers like I'm in the chat who are you g to be watching what are you interested to see this weekend in the Jaguars game um I want to see FAU I mentioned it earlier I'm looking for a man look I know he wasn't a finished product when he came back that's why he went at the end of the first round I hoped that I would see more from him as the season went on last year it is what it is um the Chiefs are a team that's so good that they have the luxury of taking a guy in the first round that maybe they believe in that's not ready and that he can sit it's like old school NFL right rookies never used to play ever it didn't matter where they were taken first round was ever he's a rookie and they used to be play veterans veterans into their 30s you know and then and then the the now it's all about like guys fall off a cliff they're not productive anymore they get too expensive it's a young man's game so now we're all conditioned to be like that guy went in the first round or he went in the second round he should come in and be an instant impact player and starter and and in a lot of ways that's true the way the NFL has been going and we've been seeing guys be more and more Pro ready coming out of College thanks to a lot of different things but not all of them are but some of them have the talent and you might want to bet on that talent and as we saw with Patrick M look if Patrick Mahomes had come in and played as a rookie I still think he would have been really good but I don't doubt for a second that one of the reasons he's great is because he had a season to be a pro to watch the pro of all Pros Alex Smith and how he went about his business and to learn Andy Reed though I still think he would have been turned out great probably but you know that look at Aaron Rogers look at the career he had he waited forever to get out there and play um so uh oh this is an interesting one from the chat Ben says coming to Kansas City from Australia for the Chiefs vs Bengals game round two first time in Kansas City where do we go to drink some beers before and after the game go Chiefs F the Bengals what's up Ben uh where you from in Australia our guy from Arrowhead addict.com one of our contributors Branson is uh he's gonna be on the show on uh uh he was on last week he's gonna be on the show again uh for the preseason uh after show um so look I'm not from Kansas City so a lot of the other people in the chat are going to know better places than me the area around the stadium is not where you want to hang out um it's just not a great area there's like gas stations and like a couple old hotels there's not like a like a hangout District really um what you want to do if you can if you're renting a car is to rent a car pick up some barbecue and some and some beer or liquor or whatever you want to drink and go and tailgate pay to get in the parking lot and tailgate and then just walk walk around and introduce yourself and that's what I do right because I'm from out of town and so sometimes when I come in like and I know people they'll invite you to their tailgates just walk up shake their hand tell them your name tell them you're from Australia tell them it's your F it's your you know did you say it was your first Chiefs game or second Chiefs game whatever um and they'll just they'll welcome you into their tailgate they'll feed you they'll give you drinks they're Bowl and I don't think there's too much question in it because if Chris Jones Chris Jones and and George who's been very good for the Chiefs becomes a little bit of like a you know like a little bit more feared Lookout so you know you might not see you won't know necessarily just from watching a preseason game if that's the case but I'm I'm gonna be looking for him to I'm just be looking a little faster off the ball um all that stuff give me more George carof this um because then the Chiefs are really in business and then what can lrz show L ree zamon in his first like football game ever real uh American football what can he show do we get to see him returning some kicks do we get to see him as a running back it looks like it'll be late in the game and that's kind of like that's the other thing we were talking about the depth chart this is a guy who's never played football before so like do you want to put him in his first game and put him out with like second string guys or first string guys or something like that like you wanna you you're trying to get this guy to make the like you want to ease him into it right let him go against those those guys that are are going to be selling Insurance in a couple of weeks and then gain some confidence and not get murdered right so um let him take a few hits from those guys before you know he gets he runs into the big dogs but yeah I mean look it's like a Mickey signing or whatever but he's a really tal really fast really athletic talented athlete will it be able to translate into the NFL I don't know but I I'm that's I'm damn sure excited to find out man like that's what we're watching these preseason games you're looking for guys like that um shout out to Ben in the podcast says love the podcast appreciate the feedback there get in there do what you need to do get out of there so nobody's hurt that's what preseason is about is just get getting hit a little bit and then staying healthy it's not about winning theame game it's not about putting up big stats it's about all of your key guys not injuring themselves in a meaningless game and your young guys getting reps a lot of people make fun of the preseason and joke about it about how poor the the game experience is don't watch it my advice to you is don't watch it for a good football game watch it for you know when you're watching like a game and it's like really hard like you want to watch offensive line play and it's really hard to do that because they're focused on like the camera's focused on the quarterback and then they you know they throw the ball and and you want to follow the ball it's natural to want to follow the ball and so it's hard to sit there during a game that matters during the regular season and be like man you know I really want to watch how Trey Smith is blocking in this game so while I with I'm just gonna watch him I'm not gonna pay attention to what momes is doing or what what what the receivers are doing the running back I'm watching Tracen it's really hard to do in the preseason you don't care not whatever whatever else is going on doesn't matter so if you want to watch a guy closely obviously you some of the Defenders you won't be able to see them until the all 22 comes out but like you want to watch a lineman you want to watch Kingsley and see how kingsley's doing tape the game number one so you can go back and watch everything again if you want but just sit there and watch Kingsley every snap how does he do how's his technique how fast are his feet how's his leverage um how F you know how are his hands like those are the things I'm going to be looking for I'm not an offensive line Master but you can see when a guy's struggling and getting beat so that's what I'll be doing um and watch the my other advice is watch the other preseason games okay like there are so there's two games tonight I think it's the the Lions and the Giants and I believe the nationally televised game is the Patriots and the Panthers um that's going to be an ugly one uh but still there are guys that are going to get cut from other teams or that the Chiefs might trade for that are going to be that are playing for other teams so like that might end up on the Chiefs so you want to like check out what's going on around the League this will help for your fantasy season as well by the way um but I'm just I'm I'll are behind on Happy Hours um we do a member mailbag and they get to fire off questions for the show and we've been doing it every week for the last few weeks and it's been super help the common Shaman always can count on my guy uh he asks if the Chiefs 3p is spags a realistic candidate for the first assistant coach in the Hall of Fame 100 I think he's a realistic candidate right right now it's hard to get in as an assistant but if there's anybody that's deserving it's St spagnolo what he's done with the Giants and now with the Chiefs and it's it's about the it's not just that he's been part of successful teams it's that he's been a really really important part of these successful teams the Chiefs have some have had some great players on defense with Steve smol obviously they've got Chris Jones but Steve back noo a lot of guys in the NFL they do what they do right if they're a blitzing guy and you know spags is a blitzing guy but like that they Blitz that's what they do they don't care even if they don't have the Personnel even if they're going up against a guy like Mahomes who's goingon to tort them they're blitzing because that's what I do baby that's my system Steve spagnolo I feel like does he have a system short but I feel like he tailor his game plans so well to the team that he's playing and like you can see his fingerprints it's not just the players who go out and make the plays but you can see the game plan Fingerprints of Steve spagnolo all over this Chiefs Dynasty in the games when it really mattered even when he didn't have the most talented players and the best defense he doesn't care about giving up yards if that's what he needs to do versus the team he's playing he doesn't care about the ranking he cares about winning the game he did it with the Giants he does it with the Chiefs and he holds things back during the regular season and then when they're playing the Bengals or they're playing the bills and they lose to them in the regular season and that's frustrating of course Chiefs are trying to win but they do hold some things back when they know they're going to be playing these teams in the playoffs and then you see what he did in the AFC Championship game against the Bangles a couple years ago where he basically shut he had some blitzes he shut down the Bengals offense which was prolific for pretty much the entire first quarter that was it that was what the Chiefs needed they needed to stifle the belich was great at this belich was like the opposite he was really he was a great game plan guy but he was really good at adjusting halftime to what team was doing a lot of times because Andy has such good game plan Chief to go up against the Patriots team have a good first half and then belich would would figure it out out and and cause problems in the second half spaz is great man I think he belongs in the Hall of Fame and I if they win if they win another Super Bowl yeah I think he's not gonna be like a first ballot guy but I think he will eventually get in is one of the best is one of the best coordinators to ever do it next up is Raymond Chandler says is there any sub uh is there any substantive behind the scenes projections on rice on when rice Rashid rice will get suspension I assume the long longer it takes the higher chances we lose rice for critical second half of the Season or even playoff games so I have a ton of time to research this beforehand but what I'm hearing is that it's it's it's that that that the Chiefs haven't really heard there's been no communication with the Chiefs from the NFL about a potential rice suspension what sometimes happens or often happens in these types of situations is the when not really serious I mean that what happened with rice I my view was really serious but um I guess a better way of putting it might be when there's not like a ton of heat on the NFL like you know um and I don't mean this to be like a flipping example but there's something out there like the Ray Rice video where he's punching domestic violence something horrible like that then the NFL's like we can act but but they I think they try to in most cases if they can let the legal process play out see what happens and then make their ruling they don't always do that so if the rice thing doesn't resolve itself like maybe there's a plea deal and again I haven't read up on this in a minute but maybe there's a plea deal and it happens mid-season and then they Leverage The Penalty maybe there's going to be a hearing or something and I think somebody said it's like not until December or something so if that's the case he may not get suspended this year at all but yeah you're playing with a little bit of fire because you just don't know what the the thing about the NFL is that they're not consistent with these punishments at all and it's maddening as a fan if you want to know like what's gonna happen or you're wondering um and look in my view rice deserves whatever suspension he gets he acted like an idiot could have killed somebody but as a Chiefs fan I would like to know what's going on and I would like that suspension to be at the beginning of the season obious viously so um but right now we're not hearing anything and um you know I'm hoping that he don't we don't hear anything the Chiefs go for this three Pat and then in off season next year he's gets suspended and he's going to be out for the first four games of the Chiefs can play on for it because it sucks it's unavoidable if you're the Chiefs but it sucks you're trying to run an operation here and you don't know when the suspension is going to happen you're not getting communication from the league um so part of that's on the NFL but really this is Rashi Rice's fault and I hope he stops screwing around and takes advantage of the incredible opportunity that he has um and tries to be a better person he said that that's what he's trying to do and I'm G to take his word for it okay um next up was Rhino said uh do you think injuries are the biggest obstacle to having a Chiefs three repeat I believe they have the players to do it I agree with you 100% % they've got the players to three repeat injuries being the biggest obstacle yeah look man I mean it's it's attrition right like the Chiefs can overcome injuries they have a talented enough team as long as they've got Mahomes out there and Kelce but injuries are what really syn teams I mean look talk to Dre Greenlaw right in the 49ers would the Chiefs still have beaten the 49ers I think so but Los a guy like that running onto the football field in the Super Bowl is a brutal blow because you can't plan for that so injuries are the bane of the existence of every team in the NFL of every player in the NFL the Chiefs have a really great training staff they do I think a really great job at this point look luck plays into it for everybody but at this point when you look at the Chargers and the clown show of injuries that they have over there every year Justin Herbert's in a walking boot by the way um and then the Chiefs they have injuries but I they just I think the Chiefs must be managing something better that's my my hypoth hypothesis they're doing something they're more cautious their training methods something because I think in general I'm knocking on wood and you guys should too the Chiefs have been pretty lucky when it comes to injuries but you you know if what they they lost to Super Bowl because their offensive line was decimated by injuries so is that the biggest it certainly is one of the biggest the other one is of course just the other really good teams in the AFC there's a lot of really good quarterbacks in the AFC that the Chiefs have to go through if they were in the NFC you know you're looking at the 49ers and I'm not really maybe the Cowboys Packers are coming on but like I'm not that scared of anybody they've got some really good experienced quarterbacks in in the AFC right you got burrow coming back you've got Lamar you've got Josh Allen I don't think the bills are going to be great this year but like you CJ Stroud's on the come up the Dolphins are explosive so there's a lot to get through if you're momes but I would say injuries are are the are the thing um if they could stay healthy all season long they can NAB that one seed look all those teams I mentioned they don't have to play them all they only have to play two of them if they can get the one seed to get to the Super Bowl so I yes injuries are the biggest obstacle and they certainly have the horses to do it and I think they're G I think they're going to be locked in all season long and I think they're going to be frankly I think this might be the best team they've ever had doesn't mean they're going to win the Super Bowl I think the 2020 team that went 14 and two was better than the 2019 team that won the Super Bowl and injuries got him so there you have it um okay Rhino says again these are our Ring of Honor guys the highest tier our our most loyal and best supporters um uh do you think in oh no that I just read that one sorry okay Jess um Jess says uh which wide receivers make the team so I I kind of held back a little bit earlier I'll pull the dep chart back up I think it's going to be six guys and I think it's going to be obviously look Hollywood brown rashy rice Justin Watson and Xavier worthy I think those those four are no-brainers that's then it gets interesting right I think the Chiefs will keep six wide receivers so you've got you got to choose two and let me know in the chat who you think you have to choose two skymore Justin Ross micle Harman niik risio cadarius Tony Cornell pal look I'll just say right off the bat Cornell pal this is the end of the line for Cornell pal um he's hung around he's he never made his way up to death chart it's it's over he's a camp body at this point right uh Casey DC says Nico and mcole um cadarius Tony I let you know my thoughts on him earlier he's more talented than a lot of guys on the on this list but that don't mean if you can't stay on the field and if you're a knucklehead when you're on the field and off the field I don't think cadarius Tony's making the team he's hurt again like just that was you know he helped them win a Super Bowl you never have to say you're sorry when you WI a Super Bowl but see you later cadarius Tony um they probably couldn't even trade him I'll be honest with you I like I doubt they could get anything for him so that leaves skymore Justin Ross mcco Harman Niko Rio for me I man I think Sky Moore will make the team because they've invested I know we have the sunk cost fallacy but they've invested second round draft capital in him he was okay as a rookie had a rough year last year I think they'll give him another year to try to see what he can do there's there was something that they liked about him and it's not like he's having all these off the field issues or horrible injury issues like a guy like caderas Tony so why not continue to try to develop a guy that you once believed in even though it hasn't worked out great he's not going to be what we all hoped he would be right um if you haven't broken out by the second year it's that but like he could still be a useful contributor for them he's got a nice skill set so I'm going with skymore and now you're looking at Justin Ross micole Hardman and Nico Rio I mean Justin Ross is up on the depth chart right now but the problem is he's not playing special teams and if I think Sky Moore is going to make it Sky Moore is not doing any of the special team stuff so I think it's gonna be Nico risio and Justin Ross isn't gonna make the team if Nico risio can show out on special teams because they've got Xavier worthy returning punts then Hardman then rigio but then it's risio is listed as the first kick returner then mcole Hardman you could say because of hardman's positioning there that he ends up making the team because he's he's positioned well with both special teams areas familiarity with the offense speed all that but I think it comes down to what they can do as a wide receiver more than what they can do in special teams I think they probably feel pretty good about risio Hardman right on the Special Teams but like who's running good routes so can Nico Rio make the jump as a wide receiver to be better than mle Hartman is as a wide receiver or at least as good because right now there there's kind of signaling that they think he's got some skills on special teams so give me Nico give me Nico mle's a guy who like they brought him back because they were floundering last year at receiver but they let him walk they they weren't quick to resign him nobody wants I don't know anything against mle Harman he helped to win the Super Bowl but um I just think you know who like the Chiefs know who micole Hardman is at this point right it doesn't seem like that's GNA change and nicoo risio is somebody that they've been investing in they like if he can have a good camp and and improve running routes as a receiver I think he could snag that last spot from Justin Ross because Justin Ross he's not giving you anything as a returner if he's playing elsewhere on special teams maybe Justin Ross I would say it's between Justin Ross and niik rigio I don't think micle Harman makes it Cornell Pal's out cadus Tony's out I just don't see him cutting skymore I think maybe they should consider it but I don't see it happening and Justin Ross he had off the field issues last year that messed things up I I'd like him to make the team like if I had to if I wanted to pick I would say give me like say everything works out the way I want it to work out I would say give me Justin Ross and Nico Rio as your five and six guys let's go to the chat and see what you guys have to say here uh where is my chat box this new system is uh throwing me for a loop okay here we go um Angry J German says Ross doesn't play play special teams and doesn't get separation yeah I don't know if they're using them like you know as a tackler or anything on special teams um kcd says kydc says anybody want to buy a skymore helmet got it in a mystery bag two seasons ago yeah that's about as worth that's that's worth about as much as my mvs sign Jersey that I have um yeah angry junken German says Hardman and Nico yeah that I could see it going that way I could see it going that way Sky gets cut I just I don't know man like would you rather have Hardman or or try to see if Sky Moore can develop that like that's where I get into the like the we know what Hardman is kind of thing so that's where I I struggle with figuring this one out um we'll see how the preseason goesh okay we gotta we gotta keep it moving let's get to the next question um okay slothy uh do you think last year's narrative that the chiefs were in bed with the rest will continue this year 100 per. 100 per. this is what happens when you're a dynasty the other fans are the the excuse is so the excuses used to be like Mahomes is overrated momes just has a bunch of drop picks he's really not that good now the excuses are it's the refs and um the chief's roster is so good and he has Andy Reid that's the only reason that the Chiefs are good they're stacked um that's what happens it just degrades the arguments degrade and that's all that the haters have left to cling to is blaming the refs so yeah that's never going away in fact it'll probably just get worse more frustrated everybody gets if Patrick Mahomes keeps winning uh I am super ve ve Vegeta one of our uh Ring of Honor members says do you think Pat has a chance of breaking the passing AR records this year I think he's gonna do it I'm gonna say no for the same reason I think last week we were talking about touchdown record him throw in for 50 touchdowns again I just think the defense is going to be too good I just don't think he's going to need to throw as much now he's going to have better weapons but if the offense is better and executes better this year then I think that they'll get out to early leads early in games especially when they play inferior opponents and then their defense will get to pin its ears back so that defense was so good last year and they had to be because the offense struggled so much if the offense is better this year I just don't I when when when Mahomes was going like crazy like especially in 2018 like the defense so bad and he had to he's trying to win shootouts I think the defense is still so good that the Chiefs will get conservative once they get leads and so I think it's gonna make him hard for him to to break that kind of record he just won't need to throw as much uh and then a couple questions from our other members on one of the other tiers um Vladimir Putin says is Ree samit going to make an impact this season ah Vladimir I'm not sure he's gonna make the team I think they can stash him on like an intern players Squad I'm not entirely sure or he could go to the practice squad but I just he's never played football before man I like it just seems like a really tall order right now but look we haven't seen him play yet so even if he does make the team do I think he's gonna make an impact maybe on special teams like a player or two like that's it he's probably not gonna get a handoff all season long even if he makes the team maybe he gets like a couple Gadget plays or something but he he would be a guy that that could be potentially inactive if they've got other guys they like on special teams It's Tricky man I just he's worth a look for sure and let's see what happens but I I I wouldn't hold my breath um I hope I'm wrong on that by the way because it would be fun and then Pittsburgh Steve my guy Patrick with Kelsey expected to get a less snap count who is the biggest benefactor I'm not certain it's a tight end thoughts you know I thought a lot about this Pittsburgh Steve and I just think it's it's whoever is open and I know that maybe sounds like a copout answer but I don't think it automatically goes to like to know great or Wy like your other tight ends when when Kel's off the field they're not going to call as many tight end Centric plays so it's not necessarily going to be the tight end um but I don't think it's necessarily one person because as I mentioned they really just spread the ball around so when he's off the field maybe they're running on those plays you know uh so maybe it's Pacho One play but then maybe they're doing something else and it's it's a deep shot with Hollywood Brown off a play action or they're doing something else and it's rashy rice on a Crosser like I just think all of the other offensive skill players have to step up to help carry the burden for Kelce so that Kelce can stay fresh and healthy for the stretch run and not be overused and he can help them in critical moments and critical games so I think it's everybody I think it's the entire offense about what I said go back there's there's my girl uh up in Lake Geneva in Wisconsin um she was the sweetest Soul um and so that that struck Accord with some people it's awesome to have a platform to be able to share something like that and so um if you hear some comments about Zelda in these reviews that's what they're talking about and there'll be maybe some pictures of her there she is that's a great picture of her now that she's gone actually loved A Little slice of of sunshine uh man love that dog so much um okay first review from Leo Warrior says I've been listening to you guys on autograph and have really I don't know an autograph is that a listening platform or is that like a autoc corrective Arad addict look at that one of Zelda by the way with Irish W you see my other dog Scout in the back corner there in the top not happy that she's in her crate and is all was getting a cookie but she deserved it she is the best girl um he says I've been listening to you guys on autograph and I've really enjoyed the podcast what really pushed me to review was the eulogy about Zelda I've lost two dogs myself in the LA in the past few years and it made me cry thinking about them thank you for being so open and honest with your viewers and allowing us to feel those feelings with you on the topic of football though my question is could Drew tranquil take a leap and pass Bolton um you know I don't I don't I think Drew tranquil is who drew tranquil is I don't think he's at the point really in his career where he's going to take a leap I think it's about fit an effort for him and he's got those and Spades with the Chiefs and I think he's a he and Bolton are the comp or great compliments to each other you want those two out there um so I don't I don't think he's as a line linebacker like I don't think he's going to get better than he is right now he's been in the system for longer so that that can help but like he is who he is he's fantastic he's been a great get for them I think that's why the Chiefs are comfortable moving on from Willy Gay Jr and um I mean I'm just thrilled with with that pickup by the Chiefs really smart pickup and thank you for your kind words about Zelda and I I really really means a lot to me that you guys connect with us on a because we really want this show to be like I don't like I'm not some Football Genius or something like I'm just a fan with a platform like you guys um so you know I just want to talk ball with you and have a beer with you if I see you so you know to be able to kind of I consider yall friends that years but never left a review because I don't own an Apple device what caused me to break into into my wife's iPad to leave this was Patrick's U elgy for Zelda for his dog Zelda having gone through similar experiences I really appreciate that he used his platform to show his love for a dog that clearly means as much to his family as mine as ours due to mine it speaks not only to his character but to the quality of the Chiefs community that he felt comfortable enough to do so long story short come for the Chiefs content stay for the excellent hosts in the community around it that's an awesome review it's really kind I appreciate it there's my girls all the tea dog again um you know I got into this business I was just I was working on Wall Street and I got into this business because I I've been a big Chiefs fan my whole life I was in New York City uh I missed you know the Chiefs football I had kind of a boring job I started blogging about the Chiefs and I I got the job at Arrowood addict as the editor of the site back then when I was writing and my story that I submitted was about hanging out in the in the Chiefs bar that I went to in New York City uh it was actually a piece about Mark Bradley throwing a touchdown pass to Tyler th Ben and how much fun it was like just because we stunk and then we all celebrated with that play like we had just won the Super Bowl because we just needed anything good to happen um so my whole career and like my family's well-being and stuff is because of the Kansas City Chiefs and my love for this team and the fandom and the people that I've connected with online as I've been doing this for coming up on 15 years so um means everything to me uh so I appreciate that and I feel very comfortable sharing um so Bolton asked he asked a question said I've now been to Two Chiefs games in the Mahomes era one here in Indie two years ago and then the home opener versus Detroit last year I was there too uh as you may recall we lost both games we went on to win back-to-back Super Bowls am I good or bad am I good luck or bad luck should I go to a game this year or steer clear yeah look man you're a Chiefs fan as long as you were screaming as loud as you could you are good luck sometimes they win when there sometimes they lose more often than not these days going to a Chiefs game is a good investment um so go you know keep that lucky streak going maybe they lose the game but win the Super Bowl but I think you'd sign up for that plus you get to go to Kansas City a great town eat fantastic barbecue drink great beer and hang out with the best fans in the NFL I mean what more like tailgate like come on even if they lose it sucks it's frustrating you spend a lot of money that's a great thing about being a cheese fan and going to a game and you know is as an out of toer myself um it's never it's it's always worth the money for me to go see the Chiefs even if they get blown out by the Raiders which never
