Meet Christen Harper With the NFL playoffs in full swing, all eyes are on the Lions quarterback Jared Goff and his smokeshow fiancée Christen Harper. How did the couple meet? And who made the first move? The athlete and the swimsuit model were first linked together in January 2019, right before the Rams took on the New England Patriots in the Super Bowl. Harper later confirmed her romance with the quarterback when she arrived for the Super Bowl in Atlanta the following month. Just like Jared Goff, Christen Harper has some steep career goals. In addition to modeling, Harper is an aspiring actress and starred in sci-fi thrillers like Auggie and The Obituary of Tunde Johnson. "Hey, how was your day?" In July 2019, she posted a photo of the couple attending the ESPYS together and she's continued to flaunt their relationship on social media ever since. Harper gave us a look inside their romance in her October 2020 birthday tribute to Goff, writing on Instagram, How they met "Happy birthday to my best friend, the person that makes me laugh the most and always inspires me to be the best version of myself! I love you so much." Harper revealed that she and Goff first met on the private dating app Raya. She told Fox News in 2023, "It's so funny thinking that we met on a dating app, but I feel like these days it's so common. And it's really like how you meet people. Who knows if I would've ever met him? So, I'm so happy that I went on that dating app five years ago." What's even more interesting was that she was the one who made the first move on Goff. She told Fox, First message "I actually sent the first message. So all you ladies out there, you better send the first message because you never know. You gotta shoot your shot. You miss 100% of the shots you don't take." In a video for Sports Illustrated in 2022, Harper admitted that she was not looking for love when she and Goff first met in 2018. "I had just gotten out of a long relationship and I was, like, trying to stay single for a year. And then I met him." Admittedly, she also wasn't a huge fan of football when the two started dating. She went on, Engagement "My brother played hockey growing up. I knew about the Super Bowl, but I wasn't watching football on TV all the time. So now I feel like I know way too much." More than four years since they started dating, Harper and Goff announced they were engaged in a series of Instagram posts in June 2022. Sharing a glimpse of their romantic vacay in Los Cabos, Mexico, where Goff popped the big question. She also shared photos from their trip, including a snap of Goff kissing her on the cheek as she showed off her massive ring, writing, "Still on cloud 9 from the best weekend of my life." As for Goff, the NFL star also shared the news of their engagement via social media, alongside a heartfelt message for his gorgeous fiancee. He wrote, "I'm the luckiest guy in the world because I get to spend forever with you. I love you." In her interview with Fox months after their big announcement, Harper opened up about their relationship. She said of Goff, "It's so fun to see how we've grown. It's been such a fun ride — and it all started online." Harper also credited her fiance for being her "best cheerleader." She continued, "It's so fun because I get to cheer him on for his football season. But he is the number one supporter, the number one person that's just in my court."
