Hurricane hunters took off several hours ago to get the latest update on this storm. And we are still waiting to hear from those hunters about what they're seeing right now. But communities and companies along the Texas coast are already getting ready just in case it heads our way. And now we're joined by Alyssia Oshodi with Centerpoint Energy as Alyssia. Uh, good morning. Thanks for joining us this morning now. So what is Centerpoint doing right now? Because this thing could turn into a hurricane? Absolutely. And we want the customers to know that we are prepared. So, through the weekend, we've been monitoring the event, uh, preparing staging sites and crews and readying equipment and the need that we need to and the need that we have to respond. Uh, we have 2000 front line workers and another 600 vegetation crews that are going to be working actively this week just on pre storm activities. In the event. We have an event, uh, allow a large outage event that we need to respond to. We have secured an additional 5000 crews and an additional 7000 vegetation management workers that will be ready to respond if needed. So including out of state crews, then that's correct. So we've identified those crews that will join us in state if needed. Ok. And so where are the main locations that they will be stationed in the Houston area? So what we'll do is use some uh, damage predictive modeling so that we can properly set our staging sites in the areas that might have the hardest impact. So that's what we're doing right now is prepping those staging sites and, and those locations in the event that we need to activate those. All right, center point is gonna be on the hot seat. All right. Uh One last question, Alysia, how center points new outage tracker work during this whole event? Sure. So, uh as we're preparing, we want to make sure that our customers are prepared as well. So you mentioned our new outage tracker. Uh our outage tracker will provide that outage information necessary. So our customers know uh restoration information as we have it, we also want to encourage our customers to sign it for power alert service because that will be another way in which we can communicate restoration updates as we have them. All right, Alyssia Odi with centerpoint energy. Thank you so much for joining us this morning. Thank you. All right.
