tackled for a loss well you think about receivers coming over the middle taking shots from this safety but a runner who's still in the back field this guy just flies all over the field it's second and 15 ball in the [Applause] 28 he gets out to about the 37 yd line third 47 4 hands it off on the delay tackle around the 40 yd line the back gets three on the [Applause] carry Brown will be the return man it's away and it's a booming [Applause] punt he makes it to the 32 yd line the Tigers been talking with them this week Kirk it's just interesting their perspective on this kid how good he is and how much they can lean on him yeah you and I had a chance to visit with not only the coaches but the player himself and I got a real good vibe walking out of those meetings and and thinking that he's going to have a huge game the coaches seem confident and being get him to football in different areas on the field this kid has a look in his eye that I haven't seen in a long time where he just wants to have a chance to have an impact on the game and on the outcome and I I'd be shocked if they can slow him down first down 10 yds to go ball on the 45 yd line he lets it Go makes the grab and steps out right away he made a really good move at the line of scrimmage sometimes all you need to do is throw off the defender timing just a little bit at the start of the play let's go he's tackled right around the 24 yd line Y it's second down and they're about the length of the football from the first down marker throws a strike over the middle and they make the stop around the 14 yd line good pitch and catch there on second down yep it was good enough to get him the first down that's just a nice play easy easy easy a two- yd run by the halfback that's the senior safety that made that tackle great job of providing run support from the secondary [Music] from the 12 yd line it's second [Music] down and he just gets rid of it Brad I just think this quarterback's got to do a much better job of being able to read that defense and make quicker decisions and especially when the defense starts to get pressure you've got to either get rid of that football or check it down or take off and run and down he goes at the four yd line it's fourth down and the offense is getting set to go for it touchdown tigers [Music] and he hits the pat so an eight playay 68 yd drive and they put up seven points so our score seven nothing Clemson to kick he sends this one [Applause] deep this one's going to be down in the end zone for a Touchback the tigers are right where they want to be early in this one partner well this is what their coach talked about getting off to a great start the defense did their job and it's nice to see the offense move the ball down the field and also get some points on the board you never like to have the play from behind but a deficit this manageable shouldn't be in the front of their minds they just need to go out there and play brought down right around the 26 yd [Music] line Second and nine ball on the 26 yd [Music] line black five and he's going to come up with a sack y on the play that'll bring up third and long [Applause] [Applause] it's the tail back he makes it out to maybe the 20 yd [Applause] line brown awaiting the return Brown Fields it at the 37 he gets out to about the 48 yd line these guys came up with a touchdown on their last drive and they'll be hoping for another six on the board here this offensive coordinator has got to be feeling so good about the execution that he's seeing from his quarterback and his wide receivers because again they put so much time into trying to put a plan together and to be able to see that actually come into play makes you feel pretty good as a play call this isn't even the best example but I'm going to tell you something this young man is really getting better at running his routes which is a truly underrated quality these days from the 40 yard line it's first down Clemson is up a score he's on the Run he's taken down around the 26 yd [Applause] [Music] line that makes it first and 10 there's a play F Quick Pass and he's right there to knock it away smart heady play by that Defender that was solid fundamental pass defense from the 26 yd line Second down good outside run there that'll make it they come out on an empty Back Field Rose intercept no he dropped it you don't want to ever give your opponent a second chance but that's exactly what they did by not making that interception so the field goal unit is on the field they'll try for three [Applause] points he gets it up and they tack on three points everyone's all lined up and ready for the kickoff excellent [Applause] kick he's to the 20 tackle made at the 34 Clemson's defense is playing lights out right now and pitching a shut up yeah I would not be shocked at all to see this defense be able to maintain this I I just the way they're playing the attitude that they seem to be playing with if they can maintain the energy and the awareness of this offense was a very good shot that they could shut this offense [Applause] out gets it he's in space tackle made at about the 49 they blitzed the corner that time and it created a hole in the coverage but that's the risk you take when you leave a receiver to rush the passer [Music] [Applause] [Music] first and 10 ball on the 49 yd [Music] line here we go here we [Applause] go and he's tackled around the 46 yd line I like the combination of speed and strength that this quarterback plays with he's a real valuable part of the defense TI right tight right down down 47 47 two green [Applause] n and he's taken down at the 42 yd line so they pick up quite a few yards on that play Kirk well that was an excellent route and he did a great job of holding on to the football short yardage situation here it's third and one [Music] quick throw they'll bring him down at about the 37 yd [Music] [Applause] [Music] line quick shot to the tailb back and threw his up to kick this one [Music] [Applause] away he'll return it from the one he's taken down at the 29 yd line the Tigers really came prepared to play defense today and the plan is working well so far in this game you've got to tip your cap to the defensive coordinator he is clearly done a very good job of getting his team ready to play and they have done a nice job of slowing down this very explosive offense it's not quite a blowout but unless they do something here it might turn into one pitch play to the left they'll bring him down for a loss on the play call a Los of two y on the play that'll bring up second and 11 we've got a second and 11 ball on their own [Applause] 27 we played one the Tigers lead 173 back to the action now here in the second quarter 47 47 47 he airs it out and it's the senior inside the 30 touchdown [Applause] Panthers this guy just continues to impress me every time I watch this team play he seems to come up with big plays he splits the uprights with the extra [Applause] point the kicker looks like he's ready to kick this one off sends it sailing downfield and it goes into the end zone down for a Touchback in a game that's this close you can't afford to there hasn't been too much daylight between these two teams in games like this some players try to press too much and that can cause [Applause] mistakes they hand it off nice run there as they work four Brown is the Deep man awaiting the return he's tackled at the 19 the Tigers offense normally predicated with the ground game but today it's the passing game that's working for it's been it's been a big surprise Brad I mean we all expected to see the star running back have a big game but it's been nice to see the versatility of this offense and see this passing game Step Up Clemson is up by a touchdown he's tackled right around the 18 yd [Applause] line from their own 18 yd line it's second down fires quickly and he's got his man and down he goes at the [Applause] 38 3 yd first tackled after a decent pickup y that makes it second and from their own 42 yd line Second down they run straight brought down quickly they'll line up with five wide receivers catches it and that's all it'll be short of the first after the completion well good effort by the defense to make sure they got him before he got to the marker and this one is a beauty this one will go into the end zone and they'll bring it out to the 20 momentum swings have been fairly even and with so little separation this game can be drastically changed on just one or two [Applause] plays fires out quickly [Applause] incomplete from their own 20 yd line Second down [Music] [Applause] nice run there and the option to the hatb get six [Music] yards again he'll get the call he makes it out to maybe the 29 yd line they just kind of Spun their wheels here but credit the defense with knock giving up any ground they look like they've got the block on and this offensive Line's got to give him some [Applause] time it's away and it's a booming [Applause] Punt and he's taken down the 37 yd line made a few guys miss on his way to a quality return in a game that's this close you can't afford to waste possessions Clemson is up a score and they make the stop right around the 46 yd [Applause] line short yardage situation here it's second down and one left left got you Bo makes it out to about the 43 11 y first down he's at the 20 he's taken down at the 12 3 y that makes it first and 10 looking to capitalize on the big run now it's first and 10 brought down at about the three yd [Applause] line I'm coming after you I'm coming after you I'm coming after you M5 M5 they go to the back and he's hit immediately in the back field it's third down and this offense is about 3 feet away from that first down marker touchdown [Music] tigers that is great tough football right there getting down to the goal line and just punching it in [Music] and he hits the [Music] pat looks like they're ready for the kick he kicks it off and he got all of that one he's to the 20 he gets out to about the 22 yd line they couldn't get anything going on that last [Applause] [Music] drive he lets it Fly doesn't get there the ball just sailed on him and he knows it he'll get it next time from their own 22 yd line it's second down we go here we go gets it out to his receiver in a hurry tackle made at the 38 yd line huge play for both the quarterback and receiver but it all starts with the Big Fellas up front Who provided the time to get the quarterback a chance to throw [Applause] [Music] so the big gain resulting from the pass play leaves us with a first and [Applause] 10 n got some open field he makes his way out to about the 25 [Applause] brought down after a nice run up the [Applause] [Music] middle second down and they're going to need about three yards to pick up the first [Applause] [Music] down oh and almost picked off number6 is the intend receiver that makes it third and [Applause] three caught and he's hit [Applause] immediately so they're going to go for it here dog four Orange orange and he's taken down around the 18 yd line big stop by the defense this time the offense isn't successful on fourth down the defense had that option play snuffed out from the Geto and offense is back on the field after running the ball very well on their last drive this offensive line really opened up some big gaps for the running back last [Applause] time gets it that quickly and he shoved Out of Bounds at about the 19 yd line from their own 19 yd line Second [Applause] [Music] down I love the toughness here by this quarterback of sitting in until the last second trying to make a play downfield only to have this defense get to him he's got to do a better job maybe feeling things out a little bit but at least he has the awareness and a toughness to sit in that pocket takes it up the middle for a nice run good awareness by the defense to know where the first down was and stop him short of Swanson to punt tackle at the 43 [Music] so you wonder what kind of excitement we'll see this time [Applause] [Music] [Applause] around zipped it out that was almost picked off Brady drops the ball here I don't know if he's starting to peek down field and think about the return or what but that Ball's right in his hands he just dropped it from their own 43 yd line it's second [Applause] [Applause] down he sails it long no incomplete number n was the intended receiver on the and 10 Brown awaiting the [Applause] return he takes it in at the 14 brought down at the 25 the Tigers game plan is just what we've been seeing through a couple of quarters now give this guy the football and let him Ram it down the defense's throat and just keep giving it to him until he gets tired or the defense gets tired well the offensive line I also think deserves a lot of credit you know the back is the star he's been getting most of the Yards and most of the attention but he's not doing it alone the offensive Line's pav in the way and opening this thing up and and the running backs taking advantage of it they've had a great first half you've got to play with that kind of purpose to move the ball against this defense we've got a first and 10 ball on the 39 yd line let go Clemson's going to take their first time out of the [Applause] half just throws this one away you know when you feel pressure like that the worst thing you want to do is just to throw the ball into coverage he got away with one right there he's very fortunate next time he should just throw it away out of [Applause] [Music] bounds they'll bring him down right around the 38 yd line and he has a huge run I'll tell you right now this guy is arguably one of the fastest players in college football today there you see him turn it up field with such fluidity and quickness he goes downtown and this will be caught [Music] touchdown and he converts the extra point they line up to kick this one away excellent kick he's to the 20 oh what a hit things are on the verge of getting out of hand before we even hit the half these next few drives are going to go a long way in determining what kind of game this will end up being makes a catch and he's got nowhere to go he didn't have much of a chance on that play point this team defense has a lot of speed they're all over him by the time he caught the ball from their own 31 yd line Second [Applause] down and he's going to be sack this quarterback has to do a better job of avoiding the rush cuz sacks can be real Drive killers [Applause] so that sack leaves them with some work to do it's third down and [Music] 14 here we go here we go here we go orange three orange three [Applause] and a quick throw and he's tackled around the 30 yd line so at the end of the completely locked in on that first half both these offenses were off the chains in the first half defenses were completely powerless David you know I'm your biggest fan I believe you're going to be a Hall of Famer someday great defender but every game wasn't perfect I I remember a freshman game that you had at Georgia against Florida Gator kind of got it rolling what's that like for a defense out there when when you feel like they're a step or two or three ahead of you all the time well it's frustrating and a lot of times you don't have the answer I mean you sit there and you try new things and you try the stuff you tried all during the week and nothing works and then you try something else and it doesn't work and sometimes it's just that the better players on offense and their schemes firing at a new level or a different level than you are and you you can't keep up but you got to find some kind of positive you got to make some kind of big play so you get that coach on the other side maybe throwing his visor a little bit or getting upset like okay we didn't get to do yeah all right all right there big man I got ball play is going to work just about set to start the second half what are you looking for I I'm looking to see which team has that decided schematical advantage and if they can find it they'll blow holes three or four a handles wide brand and Kirk will be the drive the halfback with a carry he's taken down right around the two yd line gain y first down first and goal you're going to go play action inside the five here's the time to do it they'll drop from the [Applause] one they get on the board again [Applause] touchdown that was a very good allaround effort the running the blocking the entire package a well-deserved score he makes the [Music] Pat and it looks like they're ready for the kickoff he just drills this one he's to the 20 and he's tackled at the 28 the Tigers continue to get it done on the defensive side of the football kir yeah they've done a good job of building this lead and almost determined here to protect it let's see if they can hold on here for the rest of the way not a whole lot's been working for them so far they should just come out and play loose and easy because they've got nothing to [Applause] lose this quarterback is tough as Nails Brad He's going to sit in that pocket and give himself a chance the only problem is at some point you've got to have a feel almost that six Sense on when to get out of there and avoid the pressure or just to throw the ball before you get hit fires quickly to the tight end and he tackles him hard at the 32 yd [Applause] line from their own 32 yd line it's third down [Music] caught it but they're going to lose yards he was tackled immediately that was a nice stretch for the D there yeah they really cranked it up a notch on that [Applause] series they've got 10 guys up they're coming after the kick it's away and it's a booming punt Brown Fields it at the 24 they'll bring him down at the 33 so now the offense comes back out hoping for the same success they had on their last Drive Clemson in control tackle made at the 32 the halfback just couldn't get back to the line of scrimmage loss of one great penetration into the back field and that was just a great hit to finish off the play it's second and 11 ball on their own 32 he laterals the ball he's pushed Out of Bounds at about the 49 first down from the 49 yd line it's first [Applause] down he's knocked out of Bounds at the 46 yd line [Applause] [Music] he's under some heat and he can't get away from the pressure third down and they need to get it down to the 39 M 35 M 35 throwing right he's hit and taken down [Applause] from the 27 yd line first down Clemson comes to the line holding that commanding [Applause] lead and he's taken down at the [Applause] 19 bring and dumps it complete to the halfback over the middle they'll bring him down at about the 17 yd [Applause] line and this play is number eight on the [Applause] drive zipped it out and that was almost picked off boy BR this guy drops an interception what's ironic about that from going for the meeting the other day is that this guy's been telling the coaches he wants to play some wide receiver you wonder why you're not playing wide receiver because you can't catch the ball as a defensive back rifles it right side looks to the end zone and is caught [Music] touchdown the wide receiver flew down the field on that touchdown connection well he has the speed to stretch the defense and his hands are getting better every single game they roll the dice and went for it on Fourth and I'm sure they're happy with the [Music] result and he adds the extra point [Music] is Swanson has the ball set and he looks ready to kick this one [Applause] deep fielded at the four brought down at the 31 pit spgs getting stopped right now they're unable to get anything going here in the third quarter well I think what they have to do at this point is they've got to get into a little bit more of a hurry up mode a little bit more urgency score and hope that the defense can come up with a stop and hope you can get the ball back and put more points [Applause] up pulls it in first down and he's knocked out of bounds [Music] [Applause] [Music] it's first and 10 ball on the 49 yd [Music] line K kill [Applause] and he just gets rid of it the defense got some pressure and forced a bad pass I think they've been a little bit more aggressive here with their pass rush and that time it paid off with an [Music] incompletion he's got it with room to run Zips it to the tight end and he's tackled right around the 42 yd line for y it's third down and this offense is about three feet away from that first down marker gets to about the 41 yd line [Applause] green n green n [Applause] easyy makes it to the 31 so it's second down and they're only about a foot away from picking up the first [Applause] down dancer dancer Brad I just think this quarterback's got to do a much better job of being able to read that defense and make quicker decisions and especially when the defense starts to get pressure you've got to either get rid of that football or check it down or take off and run with it he's at the 20 gains his way to the 19 yd [Applause] [Music] line first down 10 to go ball on the 19 [Applause] orange orang inside the 10 touchdown [Applause] Panthers he kept it himself and created the whole thing with his feet Bo was that fun to watch or what he splits the uprights with the extra point [Music] looks like they're ready for the kick he kicks it off and he got all of that one this one's going to be down in the end zone for a Touchback Clemson's offense has just been dominant here in the third quarter and it's got to be pretty demoralizing for the defense yeah the defense I mean they just have to get some kind of stop here to be able to get some confidence and be able to get their own offense into the position and been able to put some points up but right now they just cannot stop this High powerered attack up by a big margin it's the tail back and he carries the ball for a nice game that's three down and one to go the tigers with a huge [Music] lead just about set to start the fourth quarter mercifully [Applause] he makes it out to maybe the 33 yd [Music] line it's third down and they're about two yds shy of the sticks fires out to his wide out not a real fan play here just a smartly run route good protection and a well-placed ball most times you don't need much more than [Applause] that gives it left side and they get nice yardage on that [Applause] run from their own 49 yd line Second down [Applause] on the ground with a tail back knocked down of Bounds at the 44 pretty good gain on the play by the halfback he got seven but it looked like for a second he could have broken it for even more good [Applause] call tackled after a decent [Applause] pickup that'll make it second and four so it's second down now and they need about four yds to pick up the first Clemson up [Applause] big gives it to the back he makes it to the 35 yd Line This is the eighth play of this drive let's go let's Go's go [Applause] tackle at the 17 yd line that's good forain y first from the 17 yd line first down [Applause] he gets rid of this one here's play number 10 on the [Applause] drive and down he goes at the 16 yd line well they'll line it up again on third down two for two so far on this [Music] drive got it and brought down [Applause] immediately they're already up big and this could make the lead bigger the kick is up and it's splitz the uprights [Music] they line up to kick this one away nice kick plenty of [Applause] distance and it goes into the end zone down for a Touchback and it'll be interesting to see how much fight this team has left in them this has been a brutal game [Applause] throw complete he's got space to work Johnson picks up seven yards with that [Applause] [Music] catch they need about three yards to get the first here on second [Music] down he's tackled around the 41 yd line [Music] 4 4 red two [Music] yellow got a man in and out of his [Applause] hands from their own 41 yd line Second down k k [Music] kill and they got him sometimes just a Relentless pass rush that results in a sack that's what happened [Applause] there third down now and they need to get it inside the 49 down down 47 47 47 green n green n blue [Applause] for they'll make the sack the smart quarterbacks and offensive linemen have a really unique relationship a quarterback should take care of his offensive lineman but after that play and that hit you really got to be wondering what kind of relationship this quarterback and his offensive lineman have after that after the sack it's now fourth and long Brown is the Deep man awaiting the return Brown Fields it at the 37 and he's taken down at the 45 and what a game it's been for this quarterback Kirk well it's been fun to watch him because he's doing everything you want to see in a quarterback he's making the right read he's getting the ball out of his hands on time and it's giving his receivers a chance to make the play and get up field thing that stands out to me is the decision making when you can have a quarterback make these kind of decisions deliver the ball quickly and accurately you know you're going to have a great day offensively we'll see what else he has in store for this defense as they look to tack on more points both teams are playing out the stretch here you want to get experience for guys who normally don't get in the game and try to avoid injuries throws incomplete this wide receiver is very frustrated you can tell by his body language he did everything he needed to do to get open to be able to make a big play the quarterback just didn't put the ball in the money so it's second and 10 ball on the 45 brought down at the 44 yd line 11 Clemson up big right now on this [Applause] one and they make the stop at the 48 [Music] so it's second and 14 ball on the 48 yd line halfbacks got it on the quick throw he's taken down at the 40 yd line what a throw for a big game that is a great example of the quarterback seeing the whole field and finding the guy who had the best chance of making a catch third down and six yds to go ball on the 40 he's going left st's inbounds make a nice catch Mak it first [Applause] and so the referee initially calls it a catch but we'll get a second look at it here and determine if he was in bounds when he hauled it in and that play happened so fast that it was very tough to tell if he was able to get a foot down or not after review the play the ruling on the field is reversed well I know the receiver isn't too happy but they got it right after the review no catch so they're going to go for it here go Zips it to the back tackle made at the 29 makes the reception Lewis makes the tackle at the 29 yd line first down Clemson in control let go nice run there as they work the [Applause] outside it's second and six ball on the 24 [Applause] gets out to around the 15 this is the ninth play of this drive mo mo nice run there he decides to keep it and picks up seven yards that'll bring up second second down and they're going to need about three yards to pick up the first down he gets out to about the 6yd line a yard maybe two on the carry it's the 11th play of the drive [Applause] [Music] [Applause] he's in another touchdown [Music] well another score here late in the fourth quarter but all it does is add to the blowout this one's [Music] over and he hits the [Music] pat everyone all lined up and ready for the [Applause] kickoff Johnson takes it at the four he's tackled at the 31 yd [Applause] line late in the fourth quarter this game's not even close it's a blowout a lot of folks have already gone home and Herby I think we're going to make our dinner [Applause] reservations they'll bring him down at about the 33 ydd line that makes it and it's second down and eight ball on their own [Applause] 33 he makes it out to maybe the 36 yd line that'll make it thir the Tigers know that they have to enjoy this guy while they've got him because somewhere down the line he's going to be at the next level well that'll definitely be in his future but for now he needs to sit back and just enjoy this performance and and really the
