it's great when you could take a minute to just appreciate what you've done and how hard you work to get here this is Corbin Carol looking for his first big league hit right here swing in a Miss nice change up here's a fun fact on Corbin and I don't know if everyone remembers their first jersey but Carol certainly does he used to rock an Ichiro Suzuki growing up next pitch is outside Runner and scoring position nobody out and we're just getting started here in the top of the first this one in the dirt and an excellent job keeping it right there and a pitch foul ball there and it's seconds the with a foul a little that able to contact with that pitch keep the alive right the plate ground ball right side and it finds its way through for a hit rounds third headed for the plate he scores forget here's Josh Bell trying to pick up his first knock in the big leagues and that's off the Inside Edge ball one sing maybe some nerves getting the best of him in the first well it's hard to know exactly if it's nerves or not but he just doesn't have right now those hitters on the other side they're going to say it's nerves and use that as a Competitive Edge to try to jump on him even more been a real quality starter for his club and coming into this one what stands out for me is that right handed hits have really struggled batting below 200 on the it seems hard time picking up his release point and tracking the ball into the zone so we'll see how right handers do against him in this one Jose altu in the Box here lets that one go for a ball next offering is foul back and now two that's the first strike out of his major league career and it could be the first of many and he meets the goals he's set for himself in the expectations other half for him he doesn't want to just win games he wants to dominate at this level do you think Young pitchers could sometimes get too caught up and trying to rack up KS early in their career H I think they can it's kind of like a hitter that doesn't have power The Thrill is still hitting the ball over the fence and so for a guy even if he doesn't have power stuff or strikeout stuff a strike out is still something that makes him stick his chest out a little bit further man at first one away and another ball 20 and a foul ball two and one now swinging a foul straight back gets a piece there we'll do it again he hasn't gotten the result
