[Music] hello my name is Elena Zin I'm a par Olympic athlete from Germany and my disability is the visual impairment I was born in Kazakhstan and my family we were very poor and then we decided to move to Russia and then to [Music] Germany when I was 9 years old I got the diagnos that I have a visual impairment it's hard to accept that you are different than the other guys around you I couldn't read the books I didn't had friends and my grades there were very bad when I was 11 years old I realized swimming could be a door opener to be independent and to get more self-confidence Tokyo where my third games and the only medal what I missing at this time was the gold medal and when I achieved this goals that was one of the wonderfulest moments in my life I think after Tokyo I had horrible headaches I realized that something is wrong and Medicine test confirmed that I have a brain [Music] cancer I was very very scared about the diagnose because I didn't know is it something what we can repair again or how time I have to live now it was just a horrible time for me after the brain operation I had a long time of treatments 6 weeks radiotherapy one year chemotherapy but always I tried to go to training and that gives me me the energy and the strength for the long treatment what can I say about my character I think I have a very strong mindset and I really like it to fight the brain cancer makes me thankful for every day and I try to enjoy every moment in my life and I appreciate that I can maybe help other people and motivate other people to never give up to have the Big Dreams and fight for them so I think I can Inspire the people with my story
