that special and unbeatable feeling of  match day is in the air and the knowledge   that this has all the makings of a vibrant  and compelling encounter anticipation levels   are Sky High and every expectation that  this game will live up to its considerable billing it's Crystal Palace they face Manchester  United and it's live on eatv [Applause] hello everyone I must say it's always a  real privilege to commentate from this   venue Selhurst Park in South London my name is  Derek Ray and sitting next to me here on the   commentary Gantry is the former Arsenal and  West Ham United midfield man Stuart Robson   and very much looking forward to bringing you  action from the Premier League it's Crystal   Palace up against Manchester United well thanks  Derek as always the scene is set two good teams   a great playing surface and a vibrant atmosphere  it has all the ingredients for a really exciting game just cutting off the supply the lineup for Manchester United Harry  MaGuire plays alongside Raphael Varane in central   defense and rather than use a strike partnership  they've gone with just the one player in attack and they need to get tighter Dalot he's trying to create something and  that was goalkeeping right out of the   top drawer it's absolutely remarkable  his reflexes were brilliant there playing it short now that goes down as a robust piece of  tackling what's the referee going to do next we're going to see the first yellow  card of the game the referee not standing   on ceremony well he's under pressure  now it's a long time to be on a booking [Applause] Will Hughes well you never quite  know who's going to emerge from the shadows   and become a match winner but this man might  be a decent shout what are you expecting to   see from him Stuart well Derek the brace  last time out but no real surprise that   we're focusing on him it was his movement for  me always active always trying to find and on   the back of that particular challenge  will the referee let the matter rest there well deemed to have been  a cautionable offense well no   question about it he deserved his booking there beautiful pass cleared away well that'll be a free kick [Applause] good through ball it comes to absolutely  nothing strong play here really good challenge Tyrick Mitchell Maguire they really look after  the ball when they have it more   than decent this from United a fine reading of the situation good use of advantage eze wasteful from United clyne passing it around looking for the goal that   would put them ahead well not testing  The Keeper at all with that effort and Palace unable to retain possession Maguire that's the kind of  shielding play you expect from him they do pass the ball with authority excellent defending Munoz Palace now in potentially a dangerous position and options in the center a very timely interception onto wan bissaka Marcus rashford here's wan Bissaka plenty of players waiting in the  middle looked as though there might   be a threat but not so in the end good defending and the Defenders know they need to get tighter Will Hughes can he  put it away and a goal 1-0 it is they've been pushing for  the opener and now they have it well as you can see the weight of the  through ball is key to this goal and then   what a strike that's hit with such ferocity  certainly no stopping that that's a great goal so on they go again and that really   should shake up United can they  find a response now here's wan Bissaka now with rashford  well that's how to put in a clean tackle Jean Philippe mateta and an effect of clearance it's with Mctominay Harry MaGuire now well the referee has   instructed the fourth official to  put two minutes on the board Bruno fernandes well goal kick just as it was  looking promising well successfully   kept in check Marcus rashford much to  his chagrins St it well it's not been   one of his best displays Derek has it he really  hasn't been able to affect the game here unless   he starts getting on the ball they're  going to struggle to get back into this one and that is going to be all  for the first 45 here at selhurst Park but he's got a few things right in  this first half but not everything well   it's certainly not been one of his better 45  minutes he lost possession too easily didn't   get involved enough and didn't affect the game but  I'm sure it'll improve in the second [Applause] half so the ball is rolling  again United might be behind   but still plenty of time for them  what can they do in the second 45 [Applause] well that's how to keep the opposition at Bay Tyrick Mitchell eze really nice ball  and getting in the way of that superb   defensive play and the keeper taking  charge of the situation [Applause] well no stopping him raphael Varane Bruno fernandes has it  the attack carried promised but Peter out let's go   be The Equalizer and it's in a goal for  Manchester United who find themselves now level well just look at his strength  here he holds off the challenge he   keeps his balance and he finds the  back of the net It's a Wonderful goal well that picture says it  all his team are back in the game now so underway again following  the goal that made things level Munoz Jean Philippe mateta and a  good challenge to bring that attack to an end Scott mctominay here's wan bissaka [Applause] bruno fernandes can he put them in front  but it was a wonderful chance but the   goalkeeper comes through yes Derek we  have to give credit to the keeper but   surely he should have scored there  that's a big big chance [Applause]   delivering it could still be dangerous  what a lovely strike lethal piece of   finishing drilled home with  true conviction tremendous goal well here it is again it's a  Well delivered ball into the box   and the Finish is brilliant from rashford  he hits it so sweetly that's a top class goal so back underway intriguing contest this  given the 2-1 score line well that is how to play Advantage Tyrick Mitchell Will Hughes  keeping possession of the ball with authority Bruno fernandes has  it Harry MaGuire now Scott Mctominay Bruno fernandes has it it's with mctominay this attack looks highly promising oh an incredible clearance  I must say I didn't see that coming   illegal play and hence a free kick  here's a change for Manchester United into the final 20 minutes oh the threat  is there rashford and a really good stop   well that's a save of the highest  quality great goalkeeping there that's a short Corner rashford crucial piece of Defending clyne Tyrick Mitchell   well as you can see United have dominated  possession in the last 15 minutes and surely   if they do get another that would be the  game over as a contest just need to make   one of these chances count now yes it might  be on for them once more it needs an accurate cross what a genuine opportunity but  it was squandered goal kick both managers   deciding this is the time to change  things around both teams going to the bench   disappointing for  Palace to give it away in that fashion Richards just 10 minutes  minutes to go an effective challenge onto wan Bissaka fernandes this could be it  and it is he's done it surely a case   of game over well let's  have another look because this is a   goal they have thoroughly deserved  they've played really well well so far so the ball is moving again we've  been treated to four goals 3-1 the score Jean Philippe mateta defensive Brazilians  to shut them down and support available opportunity oh brilliant goalkeeping Mount wan Bissaka it is a decent looking attack here but they   took care of the situation defensively  can they do something positive on the Counterattack Jean Philippe Mateta  well they couldn't quite muster   a real threat and the referee  is going to add on four added minutes Mount and fine goalkeeping time for a change then playing it short bruno fernandes rashford oh dealt with by the goalkeeper and that will be all a disappointing  day at the office for Crystal Palace a defeat   here well Derek they were certainly off  the pace today beaten to the ball in too   many key areas they need to refocus now and  perform better next time out and   in the final analysis A really positive  performance from this man Stewart well   he gave that backline a Torrid time didn't he he  was far too sharp for them always looking to   play on the shoulder took his goals well  too clearly the Difference Maker today
