I'm so excited to be in aew what are your intentions and it's all about Mariah the gear fits you perfectly it is a perfect fit all of her stuff looks pretty good on me what a moment a star was born today aw is officially all about Maria welcome if you're entering the Bell this is Diaz yes and you are now rocking with gay gay Wolverine and Joey like let's go and are you guys are we all in because we are covering all in 2024 back in Wembley this is their WrestleMania This is their WrestleMania and I've already seen all the like oh my God the Arena's tarped off pictures legitimately I love seeing people get so worked up I'm like here for the tea I'm here for the drama let's talk about our pre-show match cuz we got a little like appetizer match it is Will Nightingale and Tomo orishi with statlander and stokeley haway I wish that they would just call them like Stokely statlander that just rolls off the tongue so well right I imagine you like their entrance I did the Hercules entrance where like Stokely was like carried out and I think he was dressed up as the Pegasus was that what he was he had wings I don't know I kind of felt like I was the hilarious Ross Matthews watching these entrances like um you're kind of giving it to me but you're not really giving it to me I legit searched If statlander lost her luggage cuz I'm like that's so shady they eventually call her coordinated is but then like she I don't know why she was wearing that black jack I know that she wears it all the time for this occasion where you had the whole Hercules theme where Stokely came out so extravagant why are you wearing that black jacket it's kind of that thing where you have to do your consistent thing it's like when Ria Ripley runs in to make the save and still does the stomp I don't know I think if she's going to wear a jacket she should have worn gold and Willow and Tomo hero I think they they matched black and white they looked more tag teamy to me I wasn't for the Stokely statlander that's why making too many comments on it like I think people are so stoked to see Stokely when he finally got in people are almost giving out like a whole baby face reaction to see him get his ass kicked up horse so what do you think of this match it was good I love seeing statlander I love seeing Willow interact because I think they're two of the best like women's wrestlers going right now honestly but like anytime I get to see Willow I'm happy so I'll give this match a toot so I mean statlander and had been like feuding for a while after statlander turned on Willow they were like thruple for a bit they were like best friends three of them sorry trigger W trigger W I'm sorry anyway no it's not triggering I think stokeley like adds so much to statlander because statlander she can wrestle the house down but the only thing is that she doesn't do a lot of promos she doesn't stokeley so freaking funny so I I just love them as a pair mhm I mean that's the best like like role you can put a manager in is when you have somebody who's so charismatic they can lift up somebody who's a good wrestler that's the point of it so I love him being there with her the reason I said this was an appetizer match Is Not only was this on a pre-show but they're getting a full match on all out so I think just it's just literally an appetizer for that match ultimately yeah they're the moneris staks of professional wrestling yeah I think they're having a stipulation match Willow won this match so she get choose a stipulation so I'm really excited about that match right I love that Willow is getting these kind of things this match of the kind of matches that we got was something I felt was more into like my realm of professional wrestling so I'm not really for the whole like nearfall after nearfall after nearfall kind of that's my favorite thing I I love when moves are protected if you get like a move that should like knock a person out like actually and you're going just like kicking out of it kicking out of it it just takes me out of the realm of wrestling and I don't dig it near Falls are m four plays I love near Falls I love a nearfall but I'm like if it's not like realistic it drives me nuts yes please Edge me to the end of the match like that's what I want but like with it just being like okay they hit like 16 finishers I'm like what does that say about your finishers it's like find a new one girl and there we go again injury took another one of my favorites theota Kai I literally thought maybe this return she's going to hit that chiropractor and become let's move to the aw Women's Championship match it is Mariah May versus Tony storm the Timeless Tony storm can we talk about the gear cuz Mariah May's gear it's the best okay I'm going to be the like real were you getting a little Mickey James vibes from it cuz I was getting a little Mickey James and it was just from those shoulder pads oh yeah I know Mickey's not known for the shoulder things but like WrestleMania yeah like it was very much giving me like Mickey James and the Trish Stratus WrestleMania match yeah because the storyline has some similarities too and Mickey wore baby pink for Wrestlemania H that is interesting yeah okay maybe that's why it was giving me full on Mickey but like as soon as I saw it I was like this is Mickey James Vibes oh person who's also doing like a lot of trist Stratus moves we love you Mariah I love this gear so much the baby pink baby blue looked so good her like blonde hair like beautifully curled the shoulder Moment Like a fur it almost looked like an angelic wings I was just like oh my God Mariah you came prepared for this big moment mhm so I love the outfit it was giving but I love when someone's hair is on point and Mariah girl the hair was hairing it was giving me like luxurious locks the reason I like to even more is that I learned this from Rhonda with her interview good interview by the way I watch thank you thank you one of the things she talked about is her like outlandish makeup she does it so that it messes up Mariah coming in with this Angelic like baby pink baby blue look looking so like Angelic and naive and sweet and like just spitting at people bleeding slepping her mom and just like being a nasty ass yeah that transformation seeing it from the start to the end of the match was spectacular I love that also I don't think I've ever seen someone spit on more people in a match like Caro she's coming for your gimmick girl she was literally serving Championship material like from the get-go she spits on the people who don't want to be demure and I love it Tony storm looked amazing I love that little like video they they prepare for her the like video package beforehand I thought was leaving a lot more to be desired like it was a very short video package and I was like you could have just replayed the entire attack on Tony storm because that was so like visually gripping but I'm like this is an actual story that aews developed which is a rarity so why did you not make a big video package for it literally and honestly this is the best storyline the aw has ever produced I feel like I mean for sure the moment the Mariah came in to the whole turn that was just like meticulously calculated I loved it it was so well done and it's like really hard to Fathom that this is an aew storyline for me yeah and the fact that like Tony KH reached out to Mar and like laid this plan out for her before signing wait for real yeah no way this is crazy crazy he must have okay Mr KH you know what's really funny so I actually tweeted out cuz I thought it was really weird when Mariah first debut her catch phrase was it's all about Mariah I was like for a number one super fan of Tony it's a weird catchphrase I just don't think it makes sense and then later I was like oh that was the seed Tony KH dm'd me did he really he did he was like you got it we purposely like wrote it that way and I was like okay Tony I mean you win a Tony for this story good for you I mean you got to give the props where it's due yeah I do I just do more of this this match I okay there was really good parts of it overall like the overarching story I'm walking away being like this was a good match but there was parts of it that made me go yeah okay you're not a spitter I see he uses Lube what oh that kind of s okay okay I'm surprised cuz I was like so gagged at this match like I loved it but tell me okay so the things that irritated me number one why did you smack your mom yeah I want know I want know what happened and she smacked the out of her I was like why did you smack your mom like the mom was holding her cheek the whole match the whole match but yeah I wonder why why' you smack your mom girl why' you do that like I just get you're a heel that's fine but why'd you smack your mom I loved it so much better than mjf like throwing water at a kid or something I watch mjf matches on mute for reasons legitimately why did you smack your mama hey it got the reaction for me she's a nasty ungrateful I love it I love being a nasty ungrateful [ __ ] but why' you smack your mama she's just a nasty girl I've been a nasty girl nasty I'm a nasty the other thing that got me was just I love the pile dri spot on the stairs yeah I just thought it came way too early in the match oh cuz like in the world of like wrestling being believable versus not believable if you legitimately pile Drive someone onto solid steel that in real life should take a person out like to see that happen I just in the middle of the match and then still have more fight from Mariah I thought was a choice I think if maybe like okay let me do the pile driver on to something to bust her open maybe there's like a chair or something in the ring or something like that and then have her kick out and be bleeding and then have like the stairs be like the oh [ __ ] like that and then near the end of the match throw her back in after that and then if she kicks out of that that's the oh uh I just think it happened way too early that should be a spot that would usually be like holy [ __ ] but then so much thing was happening of like slapping the mom spitting at Luther and just like I was just like on a high the whole time I was like oh my God but the thing I love though is that her blood came out after that through the end of the match she was like bleeding it was just great visual especially at the end when they're interacting with the shoe I just was like oh my God this beautiful the shoe ending um you didn't like that either I didn't hate it I just also I love that she's just like do I hit her with the shoe I can't hit her with the shoe she love her you just busted her skull open though she loves her deep down she loves her I know but it's like I already cracked and gave you a concussion fractured your skull you might have some sort of vertebrae that's done you've got blood dripping down your face but I can't hit you with a shoe it is I liked it it is good it's good the thing that I liked about this match is and not only the action was so good but like you got to be a Storyteller within a match and Timeless Tony storm and Mariah both of them were so good just the story they were telling with their face their interactions between it was just throughout the whole match it was just amazing and then you can see like the ups and downs of this match which I thought was just masterfully done especially Mariah May cuz like most of the time she was in aw she was Tony's ballet she didn't get her own Feud so like seeing her just excel in this huge Arena nailing every moment and emotions I was mind-blowing um I was mind blown by everything I thought it was extremely well done and all the elements were there I just didn't think it was kind of put together in the right order I would have swapped some orders around but I love the match the only thing I hated is that when Mariah did Stratosphere they were like textbook Tony stor and I'm like time to rock and roll baby are you kidding me that's the only part I got pissed off but other than I I just I just love this moment so much the Star is Born the Star is Born is how I felt about this match yeah I love it very Star is Born like you said she was on the deep end watching her dive in for it I love even Tony Storm's like postmatch ceremony where she was kind of like what was she doing I what was she doing I liked it I actually liked it more than just like sad because it seemed like she is upset that she lost but she's also happy that her lover surpassed her yeah I don't know there's like a complicated it was a complex emotion I like that I thought she just took a pile driver and was concussed like that's what I was thinking I was more complex emotion maybe I'm putting too much into it I love that Mina was watching this I I did love her in the cowd I also like she was serving face every time that camera went to her like she was invested she was in character and it just it didn't seem like when they show like oh okay we're having a match and then here's the NXT champion at ringside like that kind of thing it was very much someone's watching from the crowd and they're invested in it she was more invested than Mariah's mom Mariah's mom was just shooked that she got SLA so hard I love at the beginning that they were like this is only the second time Mariah's mom's ever seen a wrestle and you just see her over there she's like never doing this again never again I have to say like that ending though those knees to the back and to the front those some vicious KN oh that was good that's the other thing I love about Mariah is that she looks so like naive she looks like Diva but like when she hits she like drills it in uhhuh oh ooh wrestler standpoint because no one's going to pick up on how bad that looked like it hurt because it it didn't really look like it hurt on camera but like watching it as someone who takes these bumps I was like it was when she did that running knee off the apron to her and she took that real high shoulder bump when she went out and I just saw it smack and I was like oh you going to feel that tomorrow baby Mariah send me a message let me know if you're okay girl oh and I think Luther did a good job too I love I love the middle finger moment he had that middle finger like he was literally calling for a life boat on the Titanic like it was just up and he was not letting it go like you said I really hope aw does more of these we need this we do need this you can't have professional wrestling without an element of story you just can't and I don't care if you think that it's not I don't care what you think what style of wrestling you're into there has to be some element of a story going into a match or it's all [ __ ] that's the other thing that I'm really excited about because like Mina was watching will Mina be her Next program for Mariah or like Mariah move on and then come back later like I'm really curious I think it's time for me like to see some new life interjected into these title scenes cuz it's been very Tony Mariah CC for a minute so I would love to see her like you know that storyline continue with a new person I really don't want to see too much more Mariah Tony this but the second match I'm excited to talk about this TVs Championship Mercedes money accompanied by Camille versus DM Brit Baker I I I like Brit Baker this match let's talk about the entrance that's the best part porgis the cories little babies the corgis okay she is so hilarious she's great I love the corgis more than anything else I'm not going to lie I was like potato nuggets yes the fact that she brought freaking corgis and in a she was in a Cinderella Ball like she was very much look like it was like she's in Disney's Main Street Electrical Parade like I said girl this I guess this is what England means to you I don't know I thought it served like the guards were there but then Camille was like no even Camille was dressed to the tea mhm I love Camille she's such a sweetheart shout out Camille oh I I've just met her a lot oh yeah I thought Mercedes looked amazing here the entrance looked amazing I thought it was so like campy at the same time but it was cute I loved it I thought it was good yeah and britz entrance a lot of fireworks a lot of firework a lot of fireworks I was like she ain't even won the match yet girl like they put so much fireworks into Brit Baker's entrance and I was like this makes Roman Reigns at WrestleMania look bad but we should talk about the match I okay so um let me just go ahead and say I don't mind what's going to be said about me after this because I am moving um I am just not a Mercedes Monae fan oh I'm just not I think where I started losing interest in her as a performer in general like I think she's great and she's one of the best of all time but like where I was really just not invested in her was after her and Bailey lost their initial tag team title the inaugural run oh so during WWE yeah during WWE I love her in ring work I think she can go I think she can wrestle but everything outside of it I'm just like she doesn't do it for me girl so what did you think about this build by the way the promos were good the promos were it was great like honestly one of the better contract signing promos honestly I chalk a lot of it up to Brit I really love I'm sorry I love the dynamic of who the are you walking in here talking about how much money you want to make and how much stardom you want to do and trying to act like this is your division now when I literally made it myself I love that storyline because it just gives no and it speaks some like reality wrestling I thought that was really where I got invested well I like the contract signing a lot I like whenever they actually had a promo where they talk but unfortunately like the whole build got kind of like detracted because of the whole suspension situation they couldn't really do anything but I think the whole suspension Muse also affected this match because when Brit first came back people were like so excited to see her and people were so excited to see Brit going against Mercedes they were all behind Brit after the suspension news dropped a lot of people turned against Brit yeah and we needed Brit to be the baby face here but unfortunately nobody cared because of the controversy surrounding the Scandal something just didn't click in this match I felt like they were going for things and some of the spots were really impressive but it just something fell off kind of from the get-go that's why I was actually I so excited to talk to you because being a wrestler like what didn't seem like click cuz from what I saw like I said the crowd was not behind Brit that there was no moment mum like people weren't excited to see brid by fact I think that was like the big thing that suck the energy out of it I think that plays a lot into it but also you know I've been in situations like that and I've seen matches like that where no one's really excited to see the match happen but it's up to you in the ring to really bring that out you know because they know what the story is they know the background so if you give them something to invest in that's when the crowd gives you the love back no matter what so with this one I felt like sometimes there's people that I've worked and plenty of people we've seen you know perform matches on TV NDC and whatnot and they just don't click the chemistry yeah there's just not chemistry and when that doesn't work it just it's kind of like trying to you know climb a snowy hill while wearing skis like you just it doesn't really right from the start there were all like little clunky moments where like the the just timing wasn't MH right like nothing really like hit for me I think it's also you know they're trying to set up into of the missions a lot so it's a lot of reversals and a lot of things so there's not a lot of like too high impact like something crazy that's going to happen in this match but there were so many big like high impact moments when like Mercedes dropped Brit from the top rope that was a call back to sumers sign match against Charlotte where everyone was like damn but Sasha did that which was that just a SC yeah picked up a little bit and then kind of like again die down I loved when well the first is she did Mercedes did the body slam off of top which was amazing right and then they did it again but this time Brit like reversed it I love that was cool and then people walk up for that there were moments that people got interested but then that means they're interested in the move but they're not interested in your match I feel like this match was set up to be like two Titans colliding it just didn't feel like that like when I think about like the matches that I've seen Mercedes have in the past where it really felt like you know two meccas going up against each other it's like her and Bianca WrestleMania which was like way up there and you this didn't feel that way that's an interesting point because my favorite Mercedes matches are when she is really cornered when Mercedes has to do the dirtiest most like desperate moves to like make something work that's when I love Mercedes doing that I love Mercedes matches and the thing that I like about her is that she she has ability to build a match around the opponent's strength she does have that yeah instead of just doing her stuff that she does all the time that's what I like about Mercedes matches this match it just wasn't very clear like what that was yeah it just seems like there's something there's just something missing that's not getting me invested in Mercedes what do you think of Camille I honestly I like her being in an enforcer role but she's such a big dominant woman and she's so good in the ring I feel like unless they're having her like turn on Mercedes at some point I'm sure will happen I'm sure will happen that's when she going to break out but until that happens I don't really see her being like you know really presented well in the story line yeah I think she played her part I like that moment where like Brit the Eddie the Eddie moment which is like classic Mercedes so I thought I like that moment and then you know Camille getting kicked out I I liked it I liked it for what it was the part that I really like God I like lost me was I like the idea of like Mercedes stealing Brits gloves and putting it on I like that I like the little but when like Brit took it back and decided to put it back on just to put that one move in I'm just like Brit you don't need that glove to do that move you don't need that I disagree it's like a big ick for me I've people's mouths like putting my hand in someone's mouth seems like so gross so that's her job and she wears gloves for a reason like I would never be like oh my God let me put my fingers in your mou no I don't know where that's been like Mariah spit on Tony's face and she was like I didn't like that either you know one of the grossest thing in history for me old school Smackdown when Tori had like her lollipop and Nidia had like her gum and they were anything to do with mouths I think is gross like I'm not a fan I mean I kind of wanted carito to to spitted my face no I just thought timing wise it was just stupid for like BRD to like get back to it and like for some reason like glove wasn't really in well it was the whole thing I just like no this match was 17 minutes it was longer than Tony Mariah so it just shows the difference between like two people who have real good chemistry with each other versus two people who really don't and that match like Mariah and Tony is match of the night for me yeah no I I really wanted to like Mercedes match but like this match also just just ultimately didn't deliver which I'm really sad really really sad about it just something's not clicking for me with her in this and I need a Breakout moment for her in aew cuz at this point watching it I feel like her breakout moment is going to be when we hear sky's the limit at Royal Rumble 2027 like I I disagree I I loved her Willow match I loved her Stephanie match I'm just waiting for like statlander match I'm also waiting for soraa match I feel like that's going to be so good so good here's the thing if they have a promo off with each other and she says anything to the degree of watch me break your neck again I will be invested you it's going to be good I will be invested well let's talk about s for a bit cuz s she was at the pre-show and she was like how the are you going to do this show without me I am going to hold this hostage whatever she came out with her family she looked amazing with this red gear I loved her little head spikes I was such a big fan of those it was really cute and then Jamie hater who looked a lot like NXT Becky some people said I don't think she looked like NXT Becky she just looked like the entire aesthetic of NXT 2.0 like I was like okay all right she you look like a Sunny D commercial but like let's go Jamie hater came back with thunderous pop which I'm so excited about did you have a problem with her coming back during pre-show no I didn't care no especially when the show itself is like how many matches it's like nine yeah yeah it's perfectly fine please just do the wrestling and let us go to sleep and I like that she's coming in during pre-show and it's going to bring more people to tune in because oh [ __ ] Jamie's back this is going to be a good show she looked amazing and she had a little bit of a thing with like Sera everything so maybe they're going to have Sera versus Jamie match I'd be down for that match I think that'd be good oh in Chicago that would that would be a Chicago pop worthy match like I like that idea that be good that would be cool so so great to see Jamie back according to Sean Ross he like briefly mentioned in one of the live streams Jamie and Brit are not in a situation where they will probably do the feud anymore like what that's what he said I'm not I'm not making up anything that's what he said like like not in a like personal space to like do the match that a lot of people wanted so I think Jamie might be just pivoting with s or whatever else it's fine but that is it for all in thank you Joey for joining in so yes Joey like he said he is moving from Chicago yay I'm so excited I I'm going to miss everyone dearly I will I got a better opportunity um back where I grew up around the Charlotte North Carolina area so I'm headed down there started a new job new career stuff still going to be wrestling uh next time you can catch me I'm taking a two-month break but I will be in October at pro wrestling action um down in Sanford Florida I'm so excited to get out of Chicago this just isn't my place I'm so sad we won't be seeing Joey and ring the bell for a little bit which I'm really really sad about but I'm happy for you I'm really happy for you and I mean you've gone through some roller coaster here both of us I mean both of us but like I know how many like ups and downs have we seen each other thinking back to it I don't think we've been through a roller coaster together we've been through a loller coaster together I wanted to give you an action figure what yeah which just don't take Tori or Trish I would never take Trish from you because I feel like you would kill me just like that here you go I'm so excited for these this represents thank you for old the years I love that thank you so much I love it I'm a little sweaty but thank you so much and thank you all for giving me
