having specific guidelines for um pressure injuries especially for par athletes can be quite crucial because we use Technologies um like wheelchair and Prosthetics where it becames a major part of our journey um but also because we use our bodies in sometimes very different and unique ways so pressure injuries are um always there they're always kind of around and it's all about how we manage them and I feel like I've been having a much easier Journey since I've have a really clear understanding of what um affects me personally so which then affects the prevention of these injuries there was a big period where I missed out on a block of like 3 months because an injury got so bad that I wasn't able to wear my legs which obviously had a massive impact on my training and the preparation but also my personal life and not being able to walk and wear my prosthetic um was um was quite horrible actually so having better plans in place and and getting on top of things earlier makes a huge difference I really hope a lot of people will start thinking about all these little things that can really turn into um bigger things um and they lead up to Paris because now missing out on training is definitely having more of an impact than uh any other year and we want to make sure that we can what we we are capable of to prevent those um those times away from training and our time away from the things that we love [Music] doing
