hey everyone welcome to the ultimate recap of the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards well I don't know if it's really ultimate because I uploaded this video twice and it got blocked so honestly I don't know if I'll be able to take it anymore if this video gets blocked so yeah um but it's still good though you can keep watching a night packed with jawdropping performances Unforgettable speeches and of course the biggest wins in music let's break down all the excitements starting with the most talked about moment of the night first off let's talk about the artist of the year no surprises year it's Taylor Swift fresh off her ER tour success Taylor once again took home the top owner adding another VM trophy to her collection she was up against some huge names including Ariana Grande Eminem and Caesar but her track fortnite with post Malone which also took video of the Year sealed her Victory and speaking of performances Eminem opened the show with a powerful performance of winning track Houdini reminding everyone that the rap game is still his to command the competition for video of the year was fierce nominees like Ariana Grande with weend be friends and DOA with paint the town red gave Taylor a run for her money but her post Malone collab fortnite took the win her acceptance speech was artfelt and she even gave a sweet shout out to her boyfriend Travis Kelce moving on to the song of the year the night had its surprises Sabrina Carpenters caty track espresso snatched the a word beating out Fierce contenders like Beyonce Texas ol and Jack Al's loving on me Sabrina gave a speech thanking her fans for their endless support I'm not going to lie it might be surprising to some people but it wasn't surprising to me because espresso was literally everywhere and when I say everywhere I mean everywhere and oh she had a performance where she kissed an alien we have to give a notot to the next generation of stars Chappelle ran took on best new artist but before all this she did get into it with one of the paparazzi yelling rudely at her and she later addressed it in this interview um I think for someone who gets um a lot of uh anxiety around people yelling at you it the the carpet is horrifying yeah and I need to I yelled back chap the front of the dress please chap turn not me are you back you don't get to yell at me like that um so but that's something you have been able to voice here recently you spoke out about how you didn't really like some of your fans Behavior how did it feel to to release that and get that off your chest I think people really listened you don't think I do I do think people really listened just like my experience around New York City even like the past few days like people have been so respectful leim easy secured the MTV push performance of the year for June now let's dive into the genre Awards best hipop went to Eminem for oudini a huge win over artists like Drake and Megan dallion best R&B was claimed by Cesar for snooze and the best rock category Lenny carvet human came out on top we cannot forget Tyler for winning best afro beats she also gave a shout out to afrob artist and clarified that she's an amap piano artist and not an afrob beit artist and we also have to give a shout out to Lisa for best K-pop we can't forget the stunning performances as Lenny carvet performance of human at everyone on their feet and of course the night wouldn't be complete without honoring an icon Katy Perry received the video Vanguard award and she reminded everyone why she's a legend with an explosive performance of her hit Dark Horse the crowd was absolutely electric and there you have it folks the 2024 BM is in all its Glory from Tor Swift dominating the stage to Epic performances by Legends like Eminem and Katy Perry it was a night to remember who was your favorite winner or performer let me know in the comments down below and don't forget to like comment share and subscribe I'm on the road to 1K and make sure you have a lovely day [Music]
