uh how how was that just to kind of get out there for the first time get your wies under your first action in almost a year how you feel I mean it's great bro like when I tell yall it's great just be back on the field and just doing what I doing it's great you know I can't ask for anything anything better I waited for the opportunity for a year like you said and just being out there with the guys you know fine with the guys great great running back room as y'all can see I mean just love competing with them man and you can't actually anything better than that how does that work competing with three other running backs and you guys all like all played a very well game today and staying competitive but also having a good culture a good Rim together and getting along I mean we all got it we all got the ability you know to do what we do you know it's just like like you said that competitiveness you know one guys do this okay I want to slam Duncan and do better than him you know it's just like a competitiveness that feed off on each other just make a great room you know and we all we all love love each other in the room which is which is most important and we just got to keep on feeding off of that energy you know we got a lot of Gam left and we just got to keep on tone to rock did you have a sense of when you would come in whether it was situationally or or kind of knew when a drive was coming up that you'd be in um honestly I mean yeah I knew when I was going in but like you know just taking it play byplay you know the situation and you know goal line short yardish you know they want to pit me in there and see what I can do and I capitalize on it you know I just got I thank God I thank God first and foremost for allowing me to do what I can do you know what I'm saying like a lot of people can't really come off with that injury and you know be able to do that you know and I just thank God for everything I can do today and we're just going to keep on going forward from that when you have injuries like that and then you know get in the end zone in your first game what was that feeling just like for you it was a great feeling you know I and so I worked hard for all that rehab all the all the months I trained to get to that moment I just let all out as y'all saw but I mean I love it you know just got to keep on doing it keep on going to work put this game behind me after tomorrow and focus on week two game what did you see from Dante in his first action and just the leadup to it what enabled him to to get on the field as much as he did and have some of those flashes Dante's a young player but he doesn't act like a young player you know what I'm saying I love this game I love Dante's game you know it kind of remind me when I was a true freshman but he just he's a ground and pound you know what I'm saying that's what you want and I feed off of that energy you know as I as I get in and do what I do but I love it you know you know Dante's a back you know that that you want but we all got it you know and we all trying to know feed off on each other and be a great running backr so we can put our team for Success how good did it feel to run against a different front than your own oh it felt great you know we practiced that front you know all all week all the weeks in practices and we just Tred to P him to play today how validating is it just to see the offense humming like it did after all the work you guys put in you know for this first game great it was like a celebration man I mean we was doing that every day in Camp and we just knew we just had to you know keep on stacking days to get the result that we wanted today and it was great and we was just out there having a celebration you know having celebrating the work that we put in all those four weeks it's good what you what do you think Gabe now that you've seen it in a game about the the full complement of weapons that this offense has and how much of it we actually got to see out there today that's great I mean we have weapons all across the board you know we're going to we're going to we're going to destroy teams you know and it's and it's the work we put in we got to Value the work we put in so when we put it out in game day will be lights out but we got to keep on staying humble humble confidence staying together and we're going we're going to be a great team you know long stretch how was that Dynamic been in the running back room all four of you trying to compliment one another and and you know kind of trying to cement yourself or emphas SI who who can get out there and get those lead carries it's good you know we we always lead on each other you know one day is going to be me one day is going to be Dante EMT rier you know we all have the ability capabilities to do what we do you know we just got to learn how to stick together you know don't get don't get too you know um jealous you know of the other people's success but you know just stay together because your time is going to come one day to see Quinton also get out there how fun was that just to see him run the ball it was good that was the goal that was the goal to get Quin Maki and Maurice you know all those touches because I mean we into work and then they deserve the work they put in too I mean they helped us out with the defense you know the scout team looks and they deserve to be out there and it's just all a celebration and won you know all the work that we put in these couple weeks and it was good getting that first game in under your belt just how do you think today prepared you for Colorado and everything to come after I mean it prepared me great you know everything that they did today they did it right and I'm just going to feed off of this week and going to next week even more you know even more locked in and it's it's going to be it's going to be a great week next week at home night game I you can't ask for nothing else from that can't ask for nothing else talk about not being jealous of each other's success is that something you guys have to be intentional about or is that just kind of natural uh that you guys have been happy for each other sucess I mean we it's just such a great room of loyalty and love from the running back rooms you know bringing people up with the competitiveness and just like we just we just got it you know we we want other other back to you know do what they do and not get jealous about it cuz you know your time is coming you know what I'm saying so just love love everybody up I love Dante up EMT rir love all those guys up and we all going to be great at the end of the day it's the first time the team has started 1 and0 in 5 years to to just do that and to just get in the win column what does that what does that feel like what does that mean moving forward and that's that's something to smile about I mean like that's that's just great you know what I'm saying like all the work we put in like I said I mean we knew this day was coming you know we just got to keep on being one better keep on going one and0 and everything's going to work out for itself got to ask about Dylan just seeing him go out there and perform like that how much fun was it watching him I mean I seen it like when he was uh at be for high school and a high school I went to too I mean like a boy a boy has it you know he just he just has it I mean he goes out there and he he knows he talks like he's going to do it he walks like he going to do it and he going to do it you know what I'm saying so like he's a he's a great player you know I'm glad to have him on my team phenomenal quarterback and he's going to keep on doing it every single game think about Dylan he's consistent he's consistent so keep on doing it was it was it meaningful at all for you to get that first run and just kind of have it in the game and know that you can do it make your back man bro it feels so good to just know that I can do it again after that injury but like I mean I'm just praying for no injuries no more injuries healthy body healthy soul and we're going to have a phenomenal season how do you stay loose stay warm when you're coming in situational the way that I mean just got to you know be it's all mental you know what I'm saying it's all mental when whenever you get out there you got to do what you got to do you know it's a job at the end of the day you got to capitalize on it and that's what I did did you plan out that star down celebration no I didn't it just came out it was natural appreciate y'all
