Strictly star Amy Dowden's twin sister Rebecca says she feels guilt over health issues

the twin sister of Strictly Come Dancing stari daen has said that she's felt guilty that she hasn't experienced the same health issues as her sibling over the years Amy 34 has Crohn's disease and was diagnosed with stage three breast cancer last year she received the cancer diagnosis after finding a lump in her breast shortly before going on her honeymoon her husband Ben Jones now her twin sister Rebecca also 34 has said she can't understand how Amy has experienced so much while she has avoided the health problems her sister has faced as reported by bang schis she told the Sunday Times it's hard being a twin not to feel a sense of guilt I've lived a Carefree life she said that she got to do all the things you should do as a youngster like going on a holiday abroad with friends going to University and traveling Rebecca said that because of cron Amy never got to do those things Rebecca added that when Amy received her cancer diagnosis last year she would have done anything to take the pain from her she said it just doesn't make sense to me that we shared a womb yet she has been given so much to deal with Amy's twin works as a midwife but admitted she is careful about what aspects of her job she discusses with her sister because Amy was advised that her chemotherapy could affect her fertility Rebecca said that Terry's almost nothing that they don't share but added that she's careful about how much she discusses her job because she's conscious that after cancer treatment Amy has her fertility journey ahead of her Amy previously revealed she underwent fertility treatment to create embryos so she can have children in the future speaking on the big fish with Spencer Matthews podcast she said the NHS offer an incredible service that once anyone is diagnosed with cancer and especially if they have to go through chemotherapy are offered the chance to have their eggs removed and put in the freezer dot sometimes your body doesn't respond because you're going through cancer dot I had a twoe window and in that two we window we managed and so we've got OS now we've got five little Amy and Ben's for the future she also opened up about the experience on the BBC documentary strictly Amy cancer and me which aired on Monday reflecting on when she was told her fertility could be affected she said you've got two blows you've got the blow of cancer and then the fertility issue however after being told that five embro had been frozen following an egg collection she said that's amazing five oh my goodness follow mirror celebs on Tik Tok snap chat Instagram Twitter Facebook YouTube and threads [Music]
