first of all what was it like to see your name at the top of the dep chart um I mean really um bless put in the work um I just feel like um got to put all on the line this year end last year um jobs you know just getting started it's been the biggest thing that you've had to kind of relearn playing the position uh so I mean kind of similar to the position I played at Syracuse um I mean that was two years ago so just getting back into the groove of you know doing all the you know man Zone under you know opposed to being more High you know at safety um so that took um OTAs putting at work uh you know breaks you know training and things like that so just putting in the work to get back comfortable uh to that position but wouldn't your decision to to leave Ohio State come here this year um really I feel like um to be showcased better um and it's really just uh being at Ohio State uh being injured and things like that and I just felt like um it was you know time for a change uh to really you know get things going and um really be used you know in the defense is there a point where you're like I know that Noah Rogers guy oh yeah Noah uh Noah things I see him do here at practice I mean it was similar to what he was doing there um play him playing behind a guy like Marvin Harrison um I feel like it just a lot of stuff that he already knew and then the things that he's seen him do is just translate into the game and know it's just continuously On The Rise do you think it would be a big advantage to you that you know the ACC um I feel like definitely um you know some of the guys you know that we play Clemson you know some of those teams you know seeing them uh in my previous years so I feel like it'll definitely be an advantage playing against Kevin concepion and seeing him actually out on the field um KC is a guy uh like I was talking you know over there um he's fast um physical like you know he's all the above so really just with him um you know you got to be on your Ps and q's you know you can't you know come in practice sluggish or slacking um because it will show what do you remember from the Syracuse NY State Games really it taking it back to my freshman year um just real physical uh you know these guys here uh you know really preach on you know physicality and those things uh and that game was a real physical game so you know you got to bring it did that play a role in picking against say that you saw what it was like for S um definitely um stood out uh just you know seeing those guys on the field you know the camaraderie and how those guys are um playing it definitely was you know not an easy decision but you know definitely stuck out to me so had the last three years you've had the face off and practice against a Robert and ey offense what have you seen from the scheme that maybe we haven't seen yet I mean just you know typically what what he does you know he he's a guy that you know does what he does um day in and day out um so come Thursday I mean you guys will see you know what we've been working on and what we've been doing the athletic listed you as one of the the top you know 100 or so transfers um in this off season what do you specifically want to bring to this defense um just bring uh whatever you know I need to like I said you know the physicality um being in the back end you know helping those guys make some plays on the ball um really just being a part of this you know great defense that you know has been um definitely you know cause some turnovers to you know ease up our offense there's been an emphasis the last four years in this defense of causing interceptions and how much of an emphasis is put on that during practice and and all throughout the offseason so far um I mean obviously you know we do drills everything taking the ball away that's just the main thing get the ball back to the offense get the ball back to the offense so I mean they just that's just our main priority also you know doing our job but when you get a chance to take a shot at the ball or intercept the ball you got to make it count how much does it help coming in with DK and Carrie um those are just guys that you know real experience uh older guys um so you know it's just those guys are smart um you know they you know tell me things I tell those guys things and you know it's it's easier when you have older guys in the back in it's just you know easier to communicate and things like that cuz we play so much football this is it for you the urgency uh can that make you a better football player the urgency of this this is it for me um I feel like yeah when you pushing all the chips in on the table and you don't got you know anything else I mean it's just you know go hard to go home really defensively what has it been like trying to learn and adjust to that two-minute warning at the end of the periods I know coach said you guys been doing a lot of game like situations so you talk about the urgency to get the ball back what have you noticed in that experience I mean really just you know knowing whether it's a two-minute you know situation or you know 4 minute um just doing our job um and really you know knowing the situation because if you don't and you think it's a different situation you can play a certain way and CAU you
