going to talk about whether or not you need him for Fantasy Football whether or not you need to pay attention to them we're going to do that right now today but before we dig in you need to click that eagle quick analysis on him it's late in a game in preseason and training camp for him he's going to have a late star AJ Brown and Devon Smith together is probably going to have like a 50% share of the targets targets going to saquon Barkley to the tight end I just don't see him being fantasy viable unless the wide receivers get decimated that being said don't look at Jan Dodson this year unless something happens but we're also looking at diami brown diami brown can get downfield has a deep a do but not very productive so far but he is a wild card check my video that I did yesterday if you want to hear more about him Luke mcaffrey coming out of high school was a mobile quarterback not highly sought after had 11 offers but Nebraska Colorado Colorado State Michigan after him spent a lot of his career as a quarterback at Nebraska and starting off at Rice before he became a wide receiver in 2022 in 2022 though 723 yards 58 passes caught and then last year as final year there almost 1,000 yards receiving after catching 71 balls yards per route run wise 2.11 last year 2.25 the year prior and then we're also getting some deep shots with an ADOT of 11.4 and 10.7 in the last 2 years looking at the chart listed below me he's used a lot in the slot about 70% of the time and it looks like he's going to be used in the slot for the commanders here he had a breakout age of 21 years old usually metric wise that's not a good look for a wide receiver but he did start off as a quarterback and he had to make a transition between quarterback to wide receiver at the college level but once he made that transition to wide receiver he broke out pretty quick he broke out pretty quick so reading that number it's kind of weird but he does show you the flexibility of moving from one position to another and being productive so that can also show you the flexibility of moving from the college game to the Pro game and on top of that you're very cerebral as a quarterback you know all the positions he's a good route Runner and everything between the ears he has we know this about his game from the Senior Bowl he's also a good route Runner create separation and then looking at the depth been looking at the highlights on him Luke mcaffrey drafted in the third round played a lot in the slot could be the team slot receiver something you need to pay attention to before he got traded Jan Dodson was getting more opportunities in the slot compared to years past he was playing on both the outside and inside but that's an indicator that you had talent in the slot that you can go with and you're ready to be removed from Jan Dodson to make this trade to get that ammo for your draft picks so Luke mcaffrey over 70% of the snaps in slot in college pairs well in the slot Dom Brown peris well outside Z is peris well all over the place Teran McLaren the alpha but looking at tight ends I see Zack s maybe Ben s getting opportunities with Jan Dodson gone some shorter passes going to the tight end Zack Ur getting a good Target share with the Arizona Cardinal still has some Talent could still roll with this team we've also seen him targeted in pre-season in training camp and Austin Eckler a good pass catching specialist out of the back field with Brian Robinson getting a lot of run between the tackles Austin Eckler could be getting more targets than realized in this offense Cliff kingsberry wants this to be a fast-paced offense quick rpos quick reads for Jaden Daniels we're seeing this in pre-season this could lead it to Shorter passing attempts could be going to the tight ends could be going to the slot which could benefit Luke mcaffrey but also Jaye Daniels was one of the most accurate quarterbacks with the Deep ball last year among power five starters he could push it downfield with accuracy mind you he was playing with two first round wide receivers but he can light it up downfield but they're also trying to get the ball out quick to help him fight against the pressure that's coming from the offensive line that being said when you look at this offense last year Kur Samuel Jan Dodson is gone well over a 100 targets 150 targets gone from this offense Terry mclen will probably push over a 21% Target share this year he'll get a larger share of the targets as long as he's on the field and healthy look for Zack her to get a good share of the targets I look for him to beat 77 targets with Logan Thomas got and I look for one of these wide receivers to emerge and maybe it is Luke mcaffrey maybe it is but dami Brown stretches the field Zas have been looking good as well but we're looking at this team right here it's very ambiguous at the wide receiver spot I look for Terry mcen eats I look for him to get a good Target share a good average at the Target as well I look for the tight end to be used I look for Austin Eckler to get targets out of the backfield I look for him to get more than what Antonio Gibson got last year and I look for these other wide receivers to give you some fantasy value but it's going to be volatile it's going to be spotty week to week you're not going to know when to start them when to play him and it's going to be one here and the other one there but looking at Luke McCaffrey's ADP people have been drafting him he's a third round rookie he's been flashing a little bit training camp practices there is a little bit of upside here you see that dot there on the far right or far left or whatever it is as people starting to draft him a little bit more he's starting to get a little bit more ADP to his name people are going to start drafting him a bit more an underdog bestas ball drafts taking a stab at him because they've already been doing that and Luke mcaffry does have some upside in this offense if he does get some run but overall in your basic leagues you do not need to make a stab at this deep lottery ticket unless you absolutely want to you do not absolutely need Luke mcaffrey but he is a guy that you may want to stash or look at but in the later rounds I'm pulling running backs I'm getting those upside Flyers those backups with good profiles I'm looking at that but if you believe go get him but if you like him a lot go get him if you want to take that chance go get him if you want dami Brown you want to take that chance go get him I believe the wide receiver 2 three in this offense is probably going to be volatile I think there's going to be some meat to eat in this offense but I think some of it's going to go to the tight ends and I think some of this is going to go to the running back and I think Terry mclen is going to get a little bit better Target share this year because he's very good he's an alpha he's going to be used like that let me know what you think in the comments
