welcome to another wonderful edition of the Miami Harolds Dolphins in depth podcast I'm joined by my colleague Barry Jackson and we're here to report on a very spirited testy uh uh I don't know how what what other words could I use to describe today's scrimmage that featured two fights Barry yeah a Tess is a perfect word there were two shall we say melees or brewhaha the word of your choice so basically were two brawls and then two other and you use the perfect no no no braw braw is a little too strong Barry because ifw I think when you say braws football terms you see multiple fights in multiple spots uh you see helmets getting swung even though it's crazy to take off your helmet during a fight uh there were just some fisticuffs uh and it just Happ were thrown in the second one now now tell everyone as best you know and you were looking at this closely it was on the far field so no one knows for sure precisely who was involved but there were two bigger ones and then two smaller incidents one of the smaller incidents that was amusing rondale Moore threw the ball at Elijah Campbell now K Campbell got under his skin unfortunately for Rond Del Moore he was later carded off of the leg injury so that was one of two minor dust ups but the two bigger brawls tell us about those what what led to those on the far field with the Dolphins defensive Falcons offense today yeah it the first was a edge player couldn't identify which one um I Wild was following it the whole way with the binoculars and and can tell you that the fight was going to start uh the tight end just refused to let go of The Blocking a lot of lot of pushing and shoving uh they end up on the ground next thing you know a lot of dolphins Defenders a lot of Falcons Defenders are in the middle of it pushing and shoving next thing I know I see Jaylen Ramsay swinging a helmet throwing a Falcon's helmet uh basically telling the player go find your helmet it was it was interesting and then the second one was at the end of a catch I believe R um RJ r ray ray MC McDow mc mc mc I don't care remember what his name is uh it's a ray ray receiver um Falcons receiver yeah Falcon receiver he catches the ball gets thed up contact they're pushing and shoving one another next thing you know on the ground another dust up and then and then you get Raheem Morris who gathers both teams um that's his side of the field while Mike McDaniels is is managing the offensive side of the field um and Raheem basically tells them hey guys you got to cut it out because today the Falcons and the Lions they were both F two 20 thou I mean $200,000 a piece as a team and organization and and the NFL sent out a memo hey we're going to do these joint practices but this is a bad look for us so let's cut all this fighting stuff out um it'll be interesting to see if there's going to be penalties from that uh you know I don't know I don't know what to expect but afterwards practice kind of got a little bit calm um but it to me it was about the defense consistently and I saw Jaylen Ramsey the whole time um Jaylen Ramsey was testy pushing people setting the tone and that's the kind of defense that he wants for his team and Jay's really stepped up from a leadership standpoint and sort of is demanding this we are not going to be people who get pushed around in this league and so that's what you're seeing right now in the practice field they're trying to set the tone for this Dolphins team no question I was encouraged by the defense the last couple days we'll get to the offensive issues it was the discouraging day for the offense inconsistent accuracy from Tua which is uncharacteristic for him balls sailing balls underthrown uh there were some good plays in particular by jonu Smith and by Julian Hill who has really made a case for himself and Washington the rookie fifth rounder who's really come on the other big headline from today was dolphin Center Aon Brewer left with what appeared to be a hand injury his snapping hand his right hand was examined by [Music] trainers he went into the Baptist Health medical facility for time then came back out but we're concerned about the possibility that he could miss time we don't know obviously for sure we don't know severity of it the Dolphins are very guarded as most teams are with this type of information in August but if he needs needs uh to miss any time that's going to be problematic yeah and it's going to be problematic because it impacts the rest of your offensive line whereas leam mikenberg who today before practice Mike McDaniel talked about how important it was for leam mikenberg to settle in not be the Jack of every all trades not play filling it Center not filling it left guard and keep in mind Li Mamer has played at started games at every position on the Dolphins offensive line but allow him to opportunity and time to settle in at Right Guard and really the question was about why does this coaching staff continue to have this level of confidence in Le not only um contribute produce but then also improve um whatever position he's playing and uh that versatility we've we've had to utilize um you know for a multitude of different reasons uh and he's found a way to be good at that well you know the next step for him to find where he can where his ceiling is as a player is in an offense that he knows um forward and backwards with all the tools that he learned um when you're when you're starting at Center um for for this offense in terms of the calls and and the different problem solving you have to do um for for our our team it best serves us to really allow him that unique opportunity of stability and Reps in one spot to see how where his technique can go um that is for you know for the Dolphins uh we think that it would we'd be hard pressed to know exactly what that would be like because he hasn't had that that Advantage um necessarily based upon the last years of of of the whole group so um and you know he's doing I I didn't the only thing I knew what to expect from Liam this year was that he was he was going to make improvements on a lot of little things that were going to be ultimately a big thing he is doing that um and and I'm finding out each day what those things are and it it's it it's exciting because he's playing with more conviction and more of his personalities coming out in his play u and there's uh the whole group is is like that um you talk about guys that have been here and new players um you know guys like Rob Jones um I'm seeing you know a a a new Rob Jones uh that there's a lot of quality play that's going on leser Cotton's doing a phenomenal job we got a new player Jack a Driscoll that's getting some reps in there and they are all developing um guys develop at different speeds but over the course of a month you you you start to get an idea of what's our best group and uh Liam being Right Guard is best serve for him in the group um right now but guys are pushing and that competition is what's making our practice um as a high intensity as as it has been is cuz guys are competing for everything and everything on this team with the quality of roster has to be earned yeah Barry do you imagine that everything has to be earned and uh it's funny that Mike McDaniel says that because I think only the guard spots are the open spots on the roster do you disagree here no as far as starting spot you're absolutely right I don't want to say it's code red time Omar but I'm at the point where if Brewers injury is significant you have to go outside and get a starting caliber guard and I don't mean one of these Journeymen off the waiver wire like they've been looking at guys like Scott quizenberry who's a journeyman they signed Shan harlo who can play backup center and guard I'm talking about a Sure Fire Starting guard make sure that you pounce on a good one that's available via trade if Brew's hand injury proves problematic or frankly even if it doesn't you could still make a case to go out and use some your some of your cap space on a guard now I'm always more conservative with regard to holding on to cap space for next offseason but in this case I'm concerned enough where I would begin mining the market for a quality starting guard even if it cost you seven or eight million dollars uh today by the way the first time I've ever heard Lester cotton and nominal in the same sense with all due respect to Lester cotton but Mike McDaniel described his play today as phenomenal which was interesting so apparently if Liam has to move to Center Lester cotton his first man up now the praise for Rob Jones I think has been warranted he hasn't been perfect but I think he's been good enough at left guard you assume that Isaiah win eventually will take that job but you can't say that with certainty but I'm alarmed to the point that I am looking at trades I'm not saying I pull the trigger on one but I'm at least exploring the market on starting guards who are unhappy with their contract or a team has depth and wants to move on how concerned are you on the zero to 10 meter I'm at about a seven you're where as far as interior of the line I have to constantly remind myself on a daily basis in Butch Barry I trust in Butch Barry I trust um I am not at the IBS level of Dolphins offensive line worry um but I am getting concerned um from this standpoint I wanted to see Liam being able to settle into Right Guard to see what he can do I thought the joint practices were very important as we covered in yesterday's podcast I was not pleased with what I saw from the offensive line particularly leam mikenberg it just looked like Liam mikenberg did not have the fight that I need you want you know I I need Liam mikenberg to do a tutorial with Jaylen Ramsey where you know it's about the dog it's about the fight it's about the bark and there's so many instances where I think Liam doesn't give his all or doesn't Max out on what's available to him and that's disheartening to see uh I think it doesn't set a good tone for the offensive line and I'm hoping that this is just training camp and this is just oh when it gets to the games he's going to turn it on and he's going to be you know a Chihuahua out there um in terms of just bark bark bark to me it's I'm not concerned about his effort see I I I don't agree with you on the maximum effort thing even though you know more about offensive line play than I'll ever know but I think he's effort I just wonder is he good enough physically at this level obviously he was really good at Notre Dame to go two and a half years without giving a sack he's a competent serviceable offensive lineman but is he good enough physically does he have the dominant physical traits you need to be a very good starting guard in this league as a center he would probably be an adate Center he's more of a number two can he be a very good starting Right Guard the jury is out but he better prove it this year because it's a contract year no absolutely this is a you know piss or get off the pot kind of situation for Liam uh in terms of what you said if I knew where Isaiah win was I would have a little bit more understanding and a comfort level because if something hap if Isaiah win is let's say ready to go in three weeks then I'm just moving Robert Jones over to Right Guard and it it is what it is this is the best that we could do right now I would not expend Financial Resources I think that's one of the reasons why you see Conor Williams sign with a SE Seattle Seahawks for a deal that could be worth up $6 million um I don't think coming returning to Miami was ever really in play best of luck to him I'll be watching to see whether or not that was a mistake in terms of judgment uh I also would not feel comfortable with giving up a future asset which means something higher than a fifth round pick for somebody who's going to patch my line now if this is a player that signed for for under contract and he's not on the last year of his deal or he's not drastically overpaid or maybe we can rest structure of the contract I know there's a Pittsburgh Steelers uh starting offensive guard that could potentially be this lodged from his team just because they drafted young players and they they're they're ready ready and willing to move on to them um the question is does it make sense for Miami is he the right scheme fit and it depends on the asset and also if if you're out there shop selling a guard trust me there's there's an endless line of teams that are that are looking for starting caliber players or a top eight guy cuz offensive lineman you would think if you were 6'4 300 lb people would be lining up to to give you work apparently there aren't that many offensive linemen who have the physicality to to make it in this league so yeah and you could rate also until the trade deadline I don't want to call Chris Greer Trader Jack like Jack McKean the former Marlin GM he's almost like Trader Chris now doing deals at the at the trade deadline with Jeff Wilson with Bradley chub so you could make the case much like the heat is waiting until the deadline potentially in February to make their next move to complete their team you could make the case for the Dolphins to wait until October to see how it goes at guard will Isaiah wi be ambulatory by September will he be good will he stay healthy will ikenberg and Jones one of the two of them be competent at Right Guard and if you find you're not then you go out and send a conditional fifth or even a conditional fourth to somebody to get a starting caliber guard so I could make the case for waiting I'm with you on the win thing I'd like to see how close he is we haven't seen him much working out on the side line there was obviously some setback with the quad injur uh it would appear with from the Quad injury last October for not to be on the field but the Dolphins have been mysterious as is their right to be since no injury report is required until September 4th but they've been mysterious about a few guys in particular Isaiah win is one we can't get McDaniel to give any sort of timetable euk is another he's been more forthcoming on Jordan Brooks and Anthony Walker and Wadd he said Waddle's injury is minor he said Jordan Brooks who returned today was was going to be back sooner than later so all that's encouraging I'll tell you a couple things that encouraged me offensively today on a bad day for the offense River cracraft and we talked about this in practice he's caught everything in his vicinity he has solidified his spot on this roster he is on the team he is reliable he has consistently been underestimated on this team and he's going to be really good in fact he spoke today Omar Kelly you get under your belt in this offense more comfortable you are each year and uh lucky for me I've been surrounded by some of the guys like 10 and 17 that are able to carry over year to year so we're able to build that relationship and and become better teammates and ultimately work together now I want to know what is it like to be the number one pick of the draft of the wide receiver draft every year um it's it's an honor it's a privilege um but uh it's for a reason so you know I I do respect 10 and his decision and I appreciate him choosing me but at the same time I've worked for that and I think I've earned that so um I'm I'm proud of myself for that and I'm going to keep trying to be that what do you think the reason is or what what do you think the reason is from Tyreek point of view as humbly as I can put it I'm making plays so I think that's why I with with the Mike White and Skyler what's the process like of trying to develop chemistry with with either one of those quarterbacks uh very easy those guys are likable people um that whole quarterback room is amazing um those guys are easy to talk to in the locker room I think that's where everything starts um if guys are approachable if they're not afraid to call you out on if you're wrong or if you're right and that way you can correct each other and ultimately build chemistry that's everybody's trying to do so having good people in that room which we have um makes it easy for anybody not only me to to build relationships I saw you catch a pancake on Jeff Wilson touchdown run down here I know run block is a big in that no no block no Rock right curious to hear your perspective on the mindset of the receivers when it comes to the Run blocking game uh we take pride in it you know um it's a big part of our offense and the way that our backs run it's you know it's it's one of those deals like if you have a a braon barus at returner you know it's like you can you have a guy that can take it to the house every single play that makes you want to play harder and so when we hear run plays called and we know who we have in the back field we want the plays to work so if the play is going to depend on our perimeter blocking we know the line's going to handle their stuff but if the play is going to depend on us whether it's a touchdown or not then we want to make sure that we get it handed yeah that's River crra and when he was referring to in regards to the draft is annually the Dolphins receivers they have a little competition where the rooms are split in half Tariq drafts a team uh Jaylen Wadd drafts a team and River ccraft has been annually the top selection in the draft just because they get pray they get points for things outside of just receptions or yards or touchdowns it's also blocking it's also knowing your assignment it's also being able to play multiple spots and that's the exact reason that River Craycraft and and as Barry said is kind of a lock on this roster right now if there was one position that I would tell you is underwhelming me Barry it would be wide receiver I just think that unit right now especially when you're not seeing it with Odell Beckham who's sidelined by an injury um you you're not seeing with Tyreek Hill on a regular basis because I think Tyreek made cameos in practice today but really didn't participate uh and then you don't see it with Jaylen wad who's sat out his second straight day um and W was having a really good camp before the injury baros is out as well but I tell you what was clarified to me today I think we know who's going to be on the team receiver wise we already knew five of the six before today we knew baros and Craycraft were very very very likely going to be your four and five I think Malik Washington has solidified his spot as a six they were unlikely to cut their fifth round pick anyway especially a guy as talented as one who caught 109 passes at Virginia to lead FBS last year but for the first time over these past five days he has truly Justified his spot on the roster he has shown that he is capable of being an NFL receiver he made two really good catches today one from Mike White both for one from Skyler Thompson both were chunk plays for sizable games uh I asked River Craycraft about him he said I've been telling him I've been calling him to the side that said you have to seize on this opportunity he's a thoughtful young man McDaniel talked today about how it's more difficult for young wide receivers to learn things than it is at other positions because of the nuances and technicalities of this offense do you see things in his game Omar that make you think he could be something eventually you know it's interesting that you ask that Barett because I've looked at him and i' I've asked myself what is he and I look at him and I see him as a slot receiver I see him as the understudy for uh Braxton baros in time eventually his game will evolve now that's not what's being asked of him right now initially but I don't see a lot of separation from my receivers I don't necessarily see deep threat speed um you know who he reminds me of a little bit he reminds me of Devon Bess um there just isn't a sensational amount of athletic ability that's there there's no T you know he's small he's the smallest wide receiver in the room but he's not a Blazer there probably five other receivers that are faster than him I would probably tell you Eric usama's faster than him but there's a savviness to his route running that I like I'm intrigued by but as Mike McDaniel points out and and everybody knows offensively these guys their heads are swimming the language the Motions the shifts it's a lot um that's what makes it the number one offense in the League last year uh I'm curious to see what happens when you have a healthy Eric ukama now UK's injury might allow him to be snuck onto the IR early in the season and then when he gets healthy after dealing with what he's been dealing with maybe you start to see a better under get a better understanding but right now Malik Washington can I say he's earned a spot on the 53 men roster I would not say that we we got to see some better play in the exhibition season and he's going to get a ton of time he's going to get a ton of time so it'll be interesting to see how he performs in those games and I had one more thing on receiver to add Mike Harley shout out to him nice young man alltime leader in receptions at um with 188 he worked out for the team this morning he signed a contract today obviously a long shot to make the team but nice to see a nice young man rewarded for his persistence he was in Cleveland's Camp as an undrafted free agent in 2000 in 2022 has not played an NFL game Dolphins worked out four guys today all four of them were fairly obscure harle was the most well-known locally of the group uh deir bird is a guy who worked out for him today Deion Kane they passed on those two for now for those who asked me on Twitter did the Dolphins work out Jarvis Landry or Michael Thomas or anyone of prominence the answer is no they're not looking for a well-known receiver add to this room they're just looking for Camp body give someone a chance a Longshot chance to stick or maybe make a practice squad and that's what they're doing with Mike Harley I want to bring up Julian Hillar here is a guy who to me we know he can block that was obvious last year he's underrated as a receiver we saw him with a long touchdown catch today from Tua at Campbell and obviously we're not talking about a major program but at Campbell he caught 38 passes for 659 yards and five touchdowns in his final season there in 2022 caught six for 48 as a rookie last year if you can get anything from him in the receiving game besides what he is as a blocker then he's going to be a long-term NFL roster guy to me he's clearly your number three tight end behind Durham SMI and jnu Smith so I like what I've seen forson had another drop today he's had at least three in Camp Monday was his only good day in training camp he got five PES on Monday Tanner Connor after very good start to Camp been a little quieter in recent days so do they even need to keep a fourth tight end with forson or Connor I guess we'll see in preseason if any seizes the job no no I I definitely think he need a four tight end um I think this offense the the two tight end sets is kind of the the bread and butter of this offense um or or two tight or one tight end and a fullback uh I I'm starting to see Janu Smith come alive um I've seen a lot of the Janu Smith plays because they get called for Tanner Connor um and Tanner Connor was making them look look pretty productive prod Ive uh fortun uh doesn't pass the sniff test for me um I I I know what he looks like physically I know where he comes from I know he's got five seasons in Kansas City um I just don't see a tight end I don't I don't see a tight end um now Julian Hill clearly the number three in my opinion it's not even close uh but you're right may maybe this is a situation where you have two guys that are probably vying for the practice squad spot in in Tanner Connor and jod forson um who know you know I'm I'm very curious to see what happens especially with wide receiver getting watered down as it has because you know we we've added two wide receivers this week and clearly wide receivers is a position where they wide receivers and cornerbacks they're the position that battles more soft tissue injuries in training camps in any other position because of how much they run there's a lot of ground coverage you know running these deep routes and these patterns and cornerbacks have to Trail them um I'm we're seeing a lot of cornerbacks go down and we're seeing a lot of wide receivers going down the problem that I have is there is not enough depth and I thought this was a unit where you you had a substantial amount of depth I'm sorry if there was ever a time for o obj to come off uh the the pup and start practicing start working start developing some chemistry with Tua at no better time than now um but but we'll we'll see we'll see how that happens but right now at this moment especially in the exhibition Season River Craycraft is going to have to carry the offense because Braxton barers isn't even working right and wad could be out for a few days with whatever it is that's minor according to McDaniel uh that's bothering him one other offensive line thing I want to bring up today before we shift quickly over to defense you made a point to me early in practice which I thought was right on you said why in the world is Keon Smith getting the primary work with toron Armstead obviously not doing 11 on 11 work why was this not a day that we didn't see a ton more of Patrick Paul I don't get it I know they want a cross train Keon Smith he's been used to guard a lot in fact he's on the depth chart as the guard on the second team but why not more Patrick Paul today don't get it I don't know if you want to throw the rookies into this doesn't seem like a coaching staff that says I'm throwing the rookies into the deep end the pool and we're going to see if they're going to sink or swim um this is and I I agree with approach give the rookies a small dose Give Them Enough on their plate so that if they eat everything then okay you put more on their plate but right now if you're you're struggling to eat everything and and keep in mind this is Patrick Paul's first joint practice so he doesn't know exactly what's what's coming from it not that I'm scared of any Falcons breaking it but we see what happens when when rookies have their confidence broken it's never a good thing um or or it's really a good thing like I I'm watching um you know I agree I I think Keon Smith was given an opportunity to say yes I want my roster spot on this team um did he answer sufficiently probably not um he's been here two years give him this opportunity because he doesn't get that much run in practice but that that left tackle spot is his spot well we already know who plays left tackle right now and they were giving K uh Kendall lamb an opportunity to work at right tackle that he does that at least once a week so I I get it and then then when Kim the lamb comes in Keon gets the the left guard spot but why not give Patrick Paul that number one left guard opportunity I guess they just feel like he's not ready for it and who am I going to say I I'm not BR Barry and as I continue to remind myself in Butch Barry I trust until proven otherwise yeah until until proven otherwise in Butch Barry I trust now the one thing I will say on shift shifting gears to the defense H I like the intensity today was a day where Kus Campbell was not practicing and this is what happens when you have a 37y old vet uh Jordan porier missed day six and his wife has informed us uh that is a thumb injury that's kept him out totally fine and understand that um Jordan Pyers is not a veteran where I need to see him out on the practice field we also didn't see Javon h it's great opportunity for guys like Elijah Campbell and Nick Needum to step up San Neil um I will tell you I like what I've seen from Elijah Campbell uh Marcus may not so much but safety is a position that's of concern to me uh right now Justin Simmons is going to work out for uh who was it is it New Orleans um I know the Dolphins don't have need there um I know they've got their starters in mind in terms of Javon Holland but those tires would be tires that I'm kicking I'm sorry I don't care who's here those tires would be tires that I'm kicking because Justin Simmons is a very good productive NFL player but then I also want to bring up um I have not liked what I've seen from Saron Neil number 33 a quarterback and I only know his number because he's getting no IG manogany treatment which means uh anytime he's on the field I'm going they're going after him um and then another guy and I said this to you today Barry and I am a big fan of Nick Needum understand let me let me say this so that everybody because his mother thinks I don't like him and that couldn't be the truth that could be furthest from the truth I've nicknamed him Superstar off an incident that happened his rookie season with with Brian Flores trying to you know downplay his success so I call him Superstar I am not seeing a make the 53 man roster performance from Nick n and I'm thinking he makes it because of the versatility if I had to if you put me on the spot I would say yes he sneaks onto it because of his ability to play both safety and nickel corner I think is your number two nickel corner behind kou who's had a good camp the one thing that could put him at risk is if one of these rookie Corners if they feel like they just don't want to lose them whether it's Jason mat who I think's been the best I know you like Isaiah Johnson Johnson made two really good plays today he's gaining steam storm Ducks had a couple of good play so it's conceivable if one of those three corners is absolutely extraordinary in preseason maybe he stays ahead of needam so I think needam makes it I see where you're coming from as far as Saran Neil is concerned he played primarily special teams in Buffalo I think it's unlikely he's goingon to play much corner here so he was signed corner I'm seeing him way too much corner here now now cam Brown on the other hand who is also a special teams player with the Giants Oran Neil with Buffalo cam Brown's made a case to play defense he's made a lot of plays including a couple of more today so one other thing I want to tell people on the secondary uh since we're discussing that cam Smith my goodness missed a week with a lower body injury a little more than a week comes back Monday reinjured on Tuesday we don't know what body part it was but he was frustrated he was injured we didn't see him today so this highly anticipated battle for the backup boundary job between Ethan Bonner cam Smith some kater coo who's your first team nickel that hasn't materialized cam Smith just isn't healthy so people are already Whispering cordr tankersly some of the bus I don't want to do that to Camp Smith yet it's only the beginning of the second year he does have skills but at some point we have to see him on the field no yeah but if he's not healthy and that's the thing when I saw him practicing uh yesterday I was like why is he practicing so soon um that's usually how guys re agravated things and seemingly he re-aggravated things um I'm not ready to pull the plug on cam Smith let's get him healthy let's see where he is and as as Anthony Weaver said let's have him confident because confident I think confidence is something that can be easily lost as rookies and it's not hard to regain it um and to me that that's that's the fine line that you walk when you're talking about hey can we try Patrick Paul as a starter you left T Le today or hey let's take a look at chop Robinson and and with the first team unit um I watch chop closely because everybody seems to think I'm missing the magic of chop Robinson and I'm not missing the magic of chop Robinson I see what he does well it's a very unique skill set and a very unique trait the get off is magnificent times it he's he's he's shooting the Gap he's killing it but then when he doesn't time it just right and he's trying to rely on his speed I watched a Rams offensive tackle put in Caleb McGary you you made the point with me today with Caleb McGary I really struggled in that matchup yeah I mean k he was just putting him in the dirt and and that's the thing if you chop you remember how cam wake would have an elite get off and then the tremendous Bend and then he'd be able to turn the corner and get after the quarterback or he'd have a secondary counter move and a swim and go inside okay chops got the great get off no counter no Bend getting better as an edge Setter but not there yet um and I think he's going to be a phenomenal third down pass rusher um I remember something that Joey Porter said to me eons ago back when Joey Porter was was a player and it put things in perspective for me that that have always i' I've lived by this he said you know he told me one day you know how you become an imp a pro bowl defensive player make three impact plays per game you can have a whole game full of stalemates but if you make three impact plays per game tackle for loss um you know pressure the quarterback sack add those up 17 games you are a pro bowl talent and I do Bradley ch's done that right yeah I mean chub that a perfect example chop could have games where there are only a few tackles we'll have a force fumble a sack in there and you'll know that his imprint has been on the game the question is can chop Robinson get to that point in year one by the way one quick note before we exit on this position mamara hasn't practiced two days in a row so we don't know what his status is but I'm with the on chop I need to see more I think if the season started tomorrow you'd see Heavy doses of Quinton Bell and ogba as your starters you'd see a third down package for Chop Robinson and then we'll see if Jaylen Phillips can contri anything a pitch count in week one yeah absolutely I don't you still you think he's still eligible to week one I don't know Barry um we'll see we'll see on on Jaylen Phillips he's working hard to to to get off off that pup um but if they're going to do it they're probably gonna do it next week yes no give him two weeks to it's it's close to time he's running he's cutting you you'd like to see him I know they're being cautious but I think it's close to the time where we might see Jaylen philps maybe hopefully yeah definitely well we we will be here uh for you the exhibition game is on Friday dolphins have no practice tomorrow we will not be doing a podcast for you um so hopefully we'll be back here after the game hopefully dolphins stay healthy and hopefully uh Mr Aon Brewer um has not suffered anything catastrophic that's going to throw off the balance of the offensive line again I have to remind myself in Butch Barry I trust all right on that note Miami Dolphins Dolphins in depth Mii herold's Dolphins in depth were out
