what what have you been told about your role this week and how are you preparing for whatever that is um you know it's it's obviously you know the protocol deal is just got to stay ready you don't know what's going to happen so for me my preparation is the same as it is every week getting ready to start and then uh you know obviously we'll see uh moving forward I think it's kind of day to day uh so just just getting ready to play and then you we'll get the word when we get the word looking back at what you were able to do in that last game how can you kind of build on that there were some great things and I know after theame you mentioned there were some things that you kind of love to clean up a little bit yeah there's always stuff that you want back but man there's so many good things that uh I think we were able to do you know different things on third down and um you know different drop back play action stuff and um just kind of gaining a little bit of U you know feel and chemistry with some of those guys like d and Noah some of those other guys so um just trying to build on that you know if if the chance pops up to to get to do it again and I'm happy to get any reps I cane the possibility for you of playing against your old team what you think be like that does happen to play against what are your memories of playing for the Browns well uh you know the the chances of me playing against an old team are a little higher than most people because I have a lot of old team so uh have had to answer this a bunch because I've played a lot of my teams uh old teams in the past um I me I remember being on the Vikings playing an old team and I was with Kevin stefansky and me and him actually talked about it like you know making the main thing the main thing that we cannot pay attention to all the externals so uh I'll take a a a coaching point from the team's coach who were about to play about the team I used to play on because he told me about a different team that I used to play on for the people outside they see Davis as the number one or the number two all season long then you kind of lead frog him to now make these starts what's that relationship like for people that really don't understand what you two have gone through uh our relationship was great I love Davis uh I told after the game that you know that's the big reason why I you know played that game was you know one for seven one for 10 and another reason was for every guy in this locker room so uh I love Davis preparation he puts in every week uh our relationship first of all is is is great but football-wise I think he's a heck of a football player I mean he can absolutely sling it and uh he's he's ready to go too this week if his name's called case how crazy is it that you're starting for this team almost a decade ago and and you're doing it again yeah it is we've all uh we've all changed just a little bit since the last time I was here obviously um but uh yeah I've got this little uh you know this this gray right here that's tended to uh creep in uh you know but uh yeah it's it's crazy to think about at times and uh it's exciting I love it um I love representing Houston and uh anytime I get a chance to do it Davis uh what's it been like continuing to prepare each week you know as you know guys have you know CJ out yeah I mean obviously uh Seven's been the guy leading this team all year um hoping we can he can clear protocol soon and get back uh for this week but I mean preparation's the same every week I think we always treat as an next-man up mentality you got to prepare like you're the start a week in a week out and that's what we've been doing what did you think of case's performance the way he played I thought he played well um after not getting any game reps throughout the season to going in there and executing offense and pulling out the win I mean that's our job to go out there and get the win and that's what he did after the game case called out you and U you know the whole quarterback room ucj and himself just Everybody's Got Each Other's back in this quarterback room can you talk a little bit about yeah for sure I just how we've uh built relationships since everybody came in in the spring together uh we're a really tight-knit group and we push each other every day to be be the best players we can be and I mean I think that rubbed off and uh drove his fire to win the game for for both of us it was it frustrating or disappointing to have the team Cas I mean I wouldn't say it's frustrating I mean it's part of the game um obviously I want my opportunity to go out there and compete um but I mean winnings everything here case went out and won and did his job
