Cubs no hitter vs Dodgers (Final Out)

we talked about it the cubs and how unstoppable they are in the late stages when they've got a lead here tonight dailies to parrot chapin and kimbrell trying to combine for a no-hitter on their feet at dodger stadium the pitch hitter is will smith swing and a miss what did i do to deserve this and now just the strike away zach davies started one six gave it over to tupera to chaffin and now kimbrell theo two in l.a it's a no-hitter four cubs combined on the 17th no hitter in franchise history and the celebration hugs for craig kimbrell what a night yeah fitting that it was the trifecta right up to parrot chaffett and kimbrell to finish it off they have been so good so dominant pretty much all season long certainly over the last uh six weeks plus 17th no hitter in franchise history combined no hitter you can tell by the reaction of the players it's a big moment it's historic moment but they're not sure exactly how to celebrate it's not like a you know a solo job i guess wilson contreras is the guy right he was the one that was back there for all nine innings just to give him the uh the bottle of champagne the congratulatory no no will smith completely over match i mean that's just an unfair assignment sending him up there after sitting in the dugout for three and a half hours to deal with kimbrell the way he was struggling the ball here's my favorite note of the night time of the game 3-1-2 [Music] what a way to start a road trip huh you're not kidding a combined no-hitter in los angeles wilson contreras right in the middle of it at the biggest hit of the night with the homer and he was in back of the plate for every pitch four nothing the final and a great start to the road trip
