Intro okay i'm here with ellie aldridge ellie's one of our team allen kite foilers um ellie we've been working with you for about a year now um it's been been pretty awesome seeing uh you and a lot of the other british girls getting out there and really you know getting amongst it with the european people um you've just come back from the europeans i believe you did pretty well um how did you get on uh yeah it was How did you get on good i came second to a silver medal uh which was really nice after a big break away from racing so it was good to check in and see how i'm getting on really so like you say you've had a bit of a break so what's what's been going on for you over the last sort of six months uh well we got came back from mexico i How have you been went to training and then pretty much straight back into lockdown so that was obviously a big time away from the water for everyone um and then as soon as that was lifted we were kind of back on the water training um had a few months in before the europeans and yeah so now back here for a bit of training as well it's nice being here for as a base of training what would you do to keep yourself uh sort of entertained and keeping fit through lockdown uh Keeping fit through lockdown lots of bike riding yeah we're quite fortunate being here it's really nice hills and no cars on the road it's crazy actually now that it's busy it's so busy it's like makes you appreciate when it was locked down and there's no cars in the road yeah you really start to notice it again don't you when you're out on your bike um so you've been doing a lot of training recently and you've got an event kind of coming up with um connor bainbridge who's also team allen um where are you guys going and what's the event Whats the event uh we're going to austria uh to lake trounci for the mixed relay europeans so it's going to be a whole week of relay event which will be quite fun and that's the event that's uh selected for the olympics is that right Last time yeah they're still they're trialling different um formats but it'll be yeah it's a relay so okay well that's that's pretty good because last time i think you came out with a win didn't you uh yeah we are current european champions which last year was only one day event so it'll be interesting to have a whole week of it so be good nice and on your kites you've been using our uh tie on blocks how have you been finding those oh yeah yeah they're Bars really good nice make make all our bars run really smoothly and they last for ages so i like it so i'd have to keep changing all my ropes and blocks you must be pretty good at splicing so i'm sure you've got quite a few bars aren't you Outro uh yeah yeah i've got bar for each kite so but luckily i don't have to spice it often because they last so long that's good to know and the highlight thimbles as well you've been using used quite a lot of those don't you yeah yeah a combination of the tie on blocks and the thimbles um a nice combination cool all right well um good luck at the event next week and i hope it goes well and then we'll catch up with you again soon yeah cool thank you very much cheers
