anyone and everyone that you know I hope everybody's having a great day a safe day wherever you are tuning in to the podcast or watching the video I hope everybody's having a great day as you guys can see from the title of the video CD lamb is staying with the Cowboys yes he's staying with you guys he's going to be with you guys Cowboys spans you don't need to cry you don't need to boohoo y'all got your number one receiver staying with y'all so he was able to sign his deal uh his contract that he has so things actually went his way but from Jerry standpoint since he is a owner you pay the players uh what you feel like they should be paid but when you're giving into to them that's where all the controversy happens and then you know they go on social media putting on a a show like what Brandon IU did just being a drama King at that point not a queen but being a drama King cuz um you know you're just not wanting to sign the deal that is at hand you know from whatever your uh uh whenever his agent is telling him at that moment so he is going to be staying with the Cowboys this article is from ESPN so let's dive right into it okay CD lamb formerly signs deal practices with cowboy boys all right here we go Frisco Tess when CD lamb was introduced to the fans inside forest center for the Dallas Cowboys first training camp practice of the summer at the star the cheer was a little louder and meaningful early in that day lamb signed his 4-year 136 million contract extension yes that's the contract 4 years 136 million he then went through his first workout with his teammates albeit a limited one as he works up to a speed after missing more than 30 days in oxar California and they hold out and mind you the preseason games are all finished quite a few teams didn't really play their starters CD lamb he didn't play uh in the uh last game of the preseason that they had so usually when that is around a lot of them a lot of teams like to rest their starters they want the rookies out there you know to try to get feel of it that's where the cut is going to start coming in where the 50 man three roster you know is going to be in play this player that player this they're going to make their decision that's why they have the rookies out there playing when it is the preseason so it's good that he didn't play the preseason it's always good to hold out the starters and the pros you know for the regular season so that's why you got your rookies in there to see okay which player could you know do you think could be potential and which player do you think is just going to have to be on the back burner or put somewhere else at that point I wish we would have had a camp it's okay though it will work out fitting back in Lamb said after Tuesday's practice but very excited for the moment cherish every bit of it lamb said he never doubted the day he would come uh they would come he would get a contract extension but the experience was stressful the deal includes 38 million signing bonus okay he got a 38 million sinus bonus y'all a record for wide receivers and 100 million guaranteed so you see where the split is okay he got a 30 million signing bonus and the 100 million is the guaranteed the 34 million annual averages places him second among receivers behind Justin Jefferson JJ of the Minnesota Vikings and also that y'all uh CI lamb he is the second highest non-quarterback player to be play uh to get paid this amount so I mean you know they got him a good contract deal so like I said he ain't going no work Cowboys don't be sad or anything y'all going to have y'all main receiver yall number one y'all going to have them don't worry lamb spent his time working out in Texas as well as in dve Florida where he was where he was with his agent Tory Dandy told him a deal had been finalized it was actually kind of crazy lamb said he hit me with a yeah man this is going south I was like what do you mean it's going South it's time Danny sarcastically said the Cowboys were only trying to pay him 34 million a year so his agent you know talked to them and he was able to get him a better deal that's what the agents are there for they there for the players to be like uhuh no my player is not going to sign that no no give me something better give me something better and that's what happen with lamb he was able to get a better contract that's why he's going to be able to stay well what do I sign lamb said the negotiation process was difficult at one point during training camp Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones said there was no urgency to get a deal done leading lamb to go on social media with a LOL post and use a picture of a venous Spider-Man lamb and Jones spoke after the deal was complete we had a businessman conversation lamb said just had to clear the room everything is behind us I'm not worried about nothing we've got what we needed to get done now it's time for me to go ball there goes a response for lamb after they had their conversation hey you know what it is what it is let put behind us I got my contract let's get out there and get this season rolling that's the mindset the lamb is thinking the process now turns to the field and preparing for the September 8th season opener at the Cleveland Browns lamp said he kept up with the changes in the office uh by getting on his iPad daily to study practice film he was in contact with teammates as well physically lamb said he will be ready to play a full game despite having less than two weeks of practice time okay okay this is what you said CD lamb okay if you feel like you ready we're going to see that when y'all play we're going to we're going to see if you were saying what you actually said we're going to see that he said he needs to get bumped a little bit not so much but as I'm running a little nudge he added 15 lbs to his frame something he was going to do if the contract agreement took place earlier in the offseason I got some body armor armor on me lamb said I can take a couple of more hits I'm prepared for my opportunities lamb left the NFL with 135 receptions last year and set a team record y with 1,747 receiving yards while scoring 14 touchdowns 12 receiving to rushing quite honestly I don't think it's going to be a step behind at all lamb said I'm ready I prepare for these moments I played this game my whole life now lamb wants to see his quarterback Dak Prescott and Dak had U shout out to his baby girl she's very pretty signed to a contract extension the Cowboys have had talks with Prescott who became who can become a free agent after this season since the Cowboys are unable to place the frenchise tag on him in 2024 okay so after this season is up I mean he's going to become a free agent which will give other teams to look at their prospects as far as if they want to pick up Dak I don't really think he should come with us but I mean a lot of decisions are out of the fans control it goes to the head coaches the owners CEOs you know they all make the decisions of who they will want so who know we may be in the talk of having Dak next year for our 20 25 2026 season whatever for the 49ers but I don't see that happening so it is what it is you look at our numbers together they're at the top of the chart slam said I have no doubt that they're going to get a deal done we all know that I want Dak here Jerry wants Dak here so let's get this under control and kill the speculation and let let go win y'all see everything lamb is saying okay now you you got to be a man about your word okay when you hit that feeli we going to see if you're ready to be out there cuz you've had less than two weeks to practice cuz you you know you weren't out there really in the mini camp so okay usually when the seasons end for a lot of these teams whatever Sports it is it's time off you know where you're not practicing and then it's even worse if you're not showing up to the mini camp which means you're not practicing at all but I mean if he feels like he's ready to get out there and take a couple of hits then by all means definitely do it let's watch this little clip real quick of what uh Todd Archer had to say the ESPN staff writer or CD lamp talking [Music] oh there goes his answer so he is grateful he's happy that he did sign a deal of what he wanted so that should cover you lamb four years sir four years hey you better make your know make your name even greater at this point shoot um you know it's good that they went ahead and find and uh how to deal with him because if he would have left the Cowboys I mean all of y'all would have been jumping off cliffs at this point or I don't know doing something crazy like Cowboy fans are just known for doing you know I ain't going to get on y'all too much because my father and a lot of my family members a Cowboys fan I'm the only one that really sticks out of not cheering for them so it is what it is but
