Topstep Express Funded - We Won In Premarket? Nice Short Setup After 8:30 News Data

all right welcome back so trade recap today um so I actually didn't take any setups during the regular am session I actually took my trade today in pre-market because I just saw a setup that I liked and not going to lie I've been watching premarket a good amount and when there's 8:30 news like there was today the price action is tends to usually not be that bad and it's like good enough to trade um I only really mess with it if we get like a good setup and that's what we got today so basically this high and this high was an smt we swept this high right here then we had this two minute Gap right here and then we had all of this low resistance liquidity down here it's more like this kind of like it's all these stacked lows down here um so we had all that looks better on the one minute like all that down beneath and we closed below with good displacement um and what happened was actually so I I I didn't get in on this like right here I got in a bit early cuz the candle was like I don't know I think I got in like right here but it doesn't matter because we came down right and what I did was I moved my stop to break even and I got stop to break even but I didn't notice until after I got stopped to break even here let me get rid of all this um I didn't notice until after I got stopped the break even that we literally put in equal like perfect equal lows and if I knew that I would have stayed in so I'm like all right I'm just going to grab a re-entry inside of this for Value Gap so I literally entered like got in like right here and we wrote it down to where did we get out we got out like right after the equal Lo we got out like right here cuz I had a limit order set at this low and I wanted it to just displace through but it literally came a couple ticks away like literally like one tick away from this low and it went up like a couple ticks and I'm like all right I just wanted it to like come through all these lows really fast so I didn't want it to really see it stop it it doesn't really matter I I mean I only it's still ended up hitting but I only lost like about or I didn't lose um like you know I only missed out on like a couple extra dollars just to be playing it safe so that's what happened um and again I I was bullish today but this was just too too good of a price signature to not like at least take down to here like if I was bearish probably targets down here would have worked probably like down here but since I'm bullish it's like it's not even worth trying to take it down there and just get like the easy Target and obviously that worked so yeah and then in the AM session I might have took this I don't know depending I didn't watch this candle livetime but if I was if I was to get in this I definitely would have had to like get in it early if I like entering up here if I entered on the exact close above of this Gap it would have been too high up and also it's like it's almost guaranteed a break even trade because soon as it hits this High I I would move my stop to break even so it's like kind of pointless to take it and then this one I don't think no I would not have took that cuz like this is low resistance basically kind of unless it's an smt which I have no clue all right let's see um damn yes looks like where is it 945 [Music] lows okay so it was an smt wait was it yeah I don't know it just looks weird it was an smt maybe I would have took this but again we hit the internal High first so this would be another play that I would have to take I had to get in early off momentum so depending on how this candle played out I maybe would have got in or not but and then if there's a gap right here I haven't checked really any of the setups maybe like the three too small two to small God damn oh this is a good four minute long and we swept these lows right yeah if I checked I don't really check the 4 minute I should but if I saw this on the four minute I probably would have took it because that's a good trade swept all of this still basically delivering off of this for Value Gap if you scale to the 5 minute it's there still delivering off that for a value Gap so that's just a good signature and then plus the buas is bullish to to be honest that would be a really good trade because you could just Target this which is probably going to hit right now so that's actually I should have took that on paper but I didn't see it so um yeah that's pretty much it for today so I'll see y'all tomorrow
