in a deeply alarming and tragic incident an amber alert was issued late Friday night for a 4-year-old boy Brandis Tyrone Smith Jr who was abducted at gunpoint in Morrisville North Carolina the abduction which took place in the afternoon has left the community on high alert as authorities Race Against Time to locate the child and ensure his safety the events unfolded around 2:20 p.m. on Friday when officers from the Morrisville Police Department responded to reports of a violent altercation at an apartment complex on Bloom Road according to the police Brandis was forcibly taken by his mother Denisha Williams who was allegedly accompanied by her boyfriend jonte perie and an unidentified man the situation escalated quickly leading to a confrontation that left brandis's father and his girlfriend traumatized and injured reports indicate that Williams in a shocking turn of events pointed a gun at the child's father during the Abduction the father was not only threatened but also physically assaulted by perie and the unknown male suspect in an attempt to protect the child the father's girlfriend intervened managed to take Brandis momentarily however this effort was thwarted when Williams allegedly brandished the firearm again this time pointing it at the girlfriend and demanding that she hand over the child and her wallet following this intense and dangerous encounter Williams and her accomplice fled this scene with Brandis in a blue Nissan Maxima bearing North Carolina tags LCN 3,490 authorities believe the vehicle may be heading toward fville but as of the latest reports there have been no confirmed sightings of the Suspects or the child the Amber Alert which was activated more than 6 hours after the initial incident has raised concerns among the community and law enforcement about the time it took to issue the alert the delay has not been explained by the authorities but it underscores the critical need for Swift action in such cases where a child's life is in imminent danger Brandis described as a 4-year-old boy approximately 3' 6 and weigh around 40 lb was last seen wearing a black shirt with the words daddy's boy on it the urgency of the situation cannot be overstated as law enforcement agencies across the region have joined forces to locate the child and apprehend the suspects the Morrisville police department has issued warrants for Williams perie and the unidentified man on charges including assault by pointing a gun armed robbery and simple assault as as the investigation continues the community is urged to remain Vigilant and Report any sightings or information that could assist in bringing Brandis home safely this harrowing incident serves as a stark reminder of the dangers that can arise in domestic situations and the importance of community awareness and rapid response when a child's safety is at risk the entire Community is now anxiously awaiting updates hoping for the Swift and safe recovery of Brandis Tyrone Smith Jr stay subscribed for more videos
