set for a first down [Applause] play now on the option and they try to run inside and there is nowhere to go Temple lines up quickly to the air It's Bradley he lets one fly deep it's complete a huge pickup nothing but green ahead I know it's early in the game but defensively after that play you know you have to tackle the catch when this guy gets the ball in his hands he is so dangerous after the fact so it's okay for him to make catches just got to get him to the ground quickly keeping it on the ground on First and go go he's knocked down in the back field he'll lose a couple that player is so lucky he did not put that football on the ground what a tackle by that Defender phenomenal individual effort getting that tackle for [Applause] L they'll run it to the left here looking for the goal line he'll be brought down at the 5 yd line and this defense is on its heels all right so now you're in this third down situation close to the goal line and it just feels David like they're going to have to throw the ball in order to score a touchdown here I like maybe trying to get the quarterback outside on the perimeter and give makes the grab in the endzone touchdown out lining up to tack one more onto that lead and he's got the extra point and it's 7 nothing to start this one a very efficient five play scoring drive and the score comes on a 5yd touchdown pass looking for an alley from inside his own 10 not a lot of space to be found good will hustle by the coverage team and they stop him at the 21 a first down for the offense he wants to start this drive with a pass throws to the wide out complete downfield and they'll finally catch up to him but not before a big chunk of yardage is picked up after the big play to start now they are on the move at their own 45 they'll run the option he'll toss it he had all kinds of company as soon as he got and he had to fight his way back just to get to the line of scrimmage they got nothing on the last play at second and 10 quarterback will audible looking downfield it's Young got the back over the middle just slithered through the tackle and he's got room to run and he Motors into the end zone touchdown Kan man how hard is it to defend when you have a weapon like this in running back that can play wide receiver you can design ways to get the football in his hand Palmer once you get in his hands he'll do the rest yeah no doubt I mean and often times those are easier throws for quarterbacks and these running backs they're just naturally so good when they have the football out in space their Vision their creativity their ability to make people miss and this guy showed you right there a difficult difficult guy to stop now if you're this defense moving forward nice job executing all of the assignments as they put a stop to that return at the 22 Temple takes over and the offense will return to the field and David how they would love to stick it in the end zone one more more time after that last drive and once you get the defense on their heels and you back them off a little bit you get in a little bit of Rhythm it's really hard to stop Jesse and they're going to try to do it again right here and if you're this play caller you're loving what's happening right now because everything you dialed up on that last Drive ended up working out you're just looking at your play sheet everything you're picking is working let's see if they can pull it off again here PS it in Temple lines up quickly [Applause] and that's a the he wants to throw stepping to the right on the Run fires down field he's got it slips a tackle and he's got room oh my goodness he's still moving touchdown ows reeled it in and just made the house call one he does a really nice job getting the snap getting the ball to his wide receiver in stride so he can continue to run full speed and make all those yards after the catch and get all the way to the end zone lining up to cover the kick after that touchdown drive on the move from inside is five he was looking for some Running Room but not much to be found as he stopped at the [Applause] 18 and here comes that fin Miami offense back onto the field Jesse a very productive Drive last time wound up with a touchdown yeah mixing and matching play calling really well nice balance on that all kinds of Running Room he's R out of bounds but a big play on that one and it'll be a first down as they get set to snap it just about to reach the end of the quarter here comes the option the pitch pass to sticks and he may get more he will step out of bounds but not before the big pick up and a first down for this [Music] [Applause] offense that's the end of the first quarter with the SC Temple 14 Miami 7 here we go moving the running back forcing the defense to adjust on the move is at 30 hit the afterburners kid touchdown hurricane and once he found open space the F might as well start playing and that's why this offense loves these designed quarterback runs they're just trying to scheme away to allow this guy to get into the second level the defense cuz they know if he gets there he can make people miss H the Jets and he's gone all tied up from just about set to kick it away he'll start the return inside his SP and he won't quite make it back to the 20 yd line as he goes out of Bounds at the [Applause] 19 Temple takes over and the owl will send the offense back onto the field the way this game started you feel as if you have to score a touchdown every time you have it and now we'll see if they can respond yeah and I wonder how much pressure that puts on the offense Jesse like you know this is back and forth and I got to score and every possession matters so much what does that do to you as a quarterback well it puts a lot more pressure on you for sure to feel like I got to make every third down throw if guys are and the ball's on the ground oh look what I found I'd say that's a stroke of Good Fortune the offense keeps it the ball security doesn't just apply to running backs and receivers QB's got to keep two hands out on the ball as as well they're very lucky after that fumble the offense jumped on looking for that first down on Third and short from the 28 they'll stick to the ground looking for the marker they were all over him nowhere to go as that third down play turned into a disaster on fourth down looking to pass makes the grab and he's got the first we'll take a quick break here two minutes to play in the first half the owls will have it first and 10 the option look got the first down and more he's loose running inside the 20 and he'll take it all the way they couldn't bring him down who gives a hoop the owls do it's a touchdown and that is exactly what you want from your offense man late in the half you want to execute and then punch it in physically on the ground Take the Lead going into the half take all the momentum nice execution on the drive by that offense and he takes this from inside the five he was hoping for something a little more Dynamic but they get him on the ground at the 20 here comes the hurricane offense looking to G a little more strength these two defenses have had their head spinning here in the first half and now we might even see a little more scoring with this drive let's going back and forth this is like two heavyweights just trading blows David what does this defense got to do to get a stop here I I tell you what man when you're giving up points like this and you've got no momentum you got to find somebody that can make a play to create something and listen if you're if they're scoring anyways let's be aggressive let's Blitz more let's let's make sure we're making them feel discomfort in some way shape or form looking for a man it's young he unleashes a long one makes a catch on the left and you just could not allow that to happen defensively giving up a big play like that they're going to need to now play with some sense of urgency if they're not going to give up any points here before the end of the half oh he wants it all got it inside the T touch down Miami and they add six SC to the board with that trip to the house yeah and the passing game comes through man and we need more of that in the second half an extra point away from tying this football game we trailed a little bit in the first half stayed calm this passing game can continue to heat up look out for second and we're all square as he set to kick it [Music] [Applause] away from inside his own 15 trying to follow his loers couldn't find a way to create that broken field as he stopped at the [Music] [Applause] 25 Temple takes over and the offense will return to the field you want to talk about a drive where you impose your will that's what they did running it down for a touchdown DAV there is nothing more demoralizing than that for a defense to be physically pounded the run is coming you know it's coming and you can't stop it nothing the defense can do that is mono Mano up front and your guys getting a push they know you're running it and they still can't stop it unloads to the wide out and this will be incomplete a big hit there forces second down couldn't make the connection last time let's see if they throw it [Music] again now the play fake and the man will talk up a sack yeah that a great job and listen this quarterback's had success he's going to be thrown for two touchdowns we got to make him feel uncomfortable this is still early in the game nice job by the defense getting a hit on the quarterback and making him think a little bit goes to the option and he's not going to get there the defense Stands Tall and makes the stop the defense going to stop the clock with the timeout they want to make sure they have everybody on the same page Tempo lining up to punt it away they'll have to punt for the first time this afternoon fourth down and the punt team sends it the other way running it back it's Johnson Powers through he only needs a sliver of daylight can they catch him found a lot of running room before he goes out of bounds and what way to build a little momentum quick timeout by the defense there trying to make sure everyone has the same [Music] call and as the first half draws near to a close here comes the field goal unit [Music] that is no good and after the missed field goal guys we are still locked up and the owls will try to kick this one deep to get things underway in the second half on the run from inside his own five really disciplined job by the coverage unit to get down there and make the stop at the 19 and here comes that Miami offense back onto the field this could be a real turning point in the game they scored a touchdown they got a stop and now a chance to break the tie yeah this offense has got it cooking man and how about the defense great job getting that stop getting the football right back to the hot hand now this offense Palmer has a chance to take the lead you can see the offense too they understand the situation right now they were jonesing on the sidelines to get another opportunity to run back PS it in on the right and he's brought down after a huge completion how great is it to have a running back who can basically run your entire route tree you don't see a lot of guys line up and then run vertically down the field dead open and make a big play this dude is special gets it out fast still running at the 40 ripped off a huge shark play on that one as he gets the first down before he steps out of bounds and the kanes come to the line with a new set of downs he'll keep it himself they finally make the stop with the big run is plenty to move those sticks for the first down and the hurricanes look to do some damage in the Red Zone he'll come out throwing on first down he's got it and still on his feet touchdown Kan and with that one they jump on top here in the second half number this game must be moving so slowly for this quarterback he sees everything two or three beats ahead way ahead I mean it's been been really really easy I better get some more hits on him I better do something to make him feel uncomfortable cuz right now it's just like oh going running that yeah that's easy I mean he's he's already read your mail you better change the address do something different here he comes from inside his own five he was looking for some Running Room but not much to be found as he stopped at the [Music] [Applause] 18 Temple takes over and the owl will send the offense back onto the field David the punter got some work last time they'd like to keep him on the sidelines in this drive yeah it's not something you want to say very often you don't want the punter out there this offense needs to get back lathered up and get a little bit more of a rhythm best way to do that identify where your best players are and just get get them the football give these guys some touches to Kickstart this offense wants to throw on first down off the play fake going over to the top and it slips through his fingers incomplete that would have been a huge gain if he could have squeezed it couldn't connect on that last play now second and 10 from the 42 on the option now the toss Temple lines up [Applause] quickly on Third and long he has to throw for it fires into traffic picked off and this safety is a Bop he's a playmaker not only have we seen him get involved in the running him and make tackles playing downfield but he plays the center field position as well as anybody in college football and you saw it right there he looks that one in nicely couldn't ask for much more there a first down and they're down to the 42 you got to give the o line a lot of credit there because he gave the receiver time to work all the way across the field on the drag route against Zone coverage quarterback gets it to him he's able to turn it up and get a first down he uncor one deep hits him in stde inside the tag and he'll take it in they couldn't get it on the ground touchdown hurricane and with that one he's now over three bills for the game and there's two reasons why Rees he's made good decisions and he's been accurate throwing the football all game long he has been surgical Precision passes using the scaff the fine instrument rather than the blunt one and the defense has had absolutely no answer for him just he's been down close all game long a step ahead understanding what he's seeing and just destroying this defense Temple takes over and the offense will return to the field this is when the pressure can ramp up a little bit on an offense David when they start feeling the heat to answer a score and I think being he's got it down the left and an explosive play has him on the move and he gets it all the way to the 48 yd line they were backed up and then suddenly they weren't they've got it first and 10 now now inside the 50 he's going to pass fires to the wide out it's caught downfield and he was loose and in the open field and on his way a tremendous pick up on that time winding down in the quarter as they come to the line on the option got some room headed to the goal line touchdown ows and they take it in for six more points two-point conversion attempt is coming I definitely like being the quarterback coach of this guy cuz he makes me look good I mean he makes me defend the whole field as a defense and all the weapons and all the options and then he can do that he can take it himself glide into the end zone and get six almost ready to kick it away after scoring the touchdown he'll bring it back from inside his spot he goes out of bounds on that return right at the 20 yd line and they'll get off one more play before the end of the quarter easy running back searching for a hold nowhere to go on that run and that brings us to the end of the third quarter and I think if you're the head coach defensively now obviously you've got three timeouts in your back pocket you're trailing at this point and the offense is going to be running the football trying to to bleed the clock they're going to take as much time off the game clock as they can before snapping it you've got to start thinking about using some of those timeouts he spins that thing down the middle a full dive to haul that one in I think most offenses around the country in a situation like this with the lead late would be trying to run the football right or throw it short and try to bleed the clock but this offense man it's still pedal to the metal they're looking for chunk play opportunities he'll do it himself picks up the first down a really nice run and gain and he gets down to avoid taking punishment well this is one of the fastest quarterbacks in college football and that's why the options are good idea because if he can get out in space and he has a chance to get down field he is really difficult to tackle and he's very difficult to catch as you saw in that last play getting a first down the hurricanes with the first and [Applause] 10 fullbacks got it and the Freshman does a great job using his technique and getting the man on the ground defense uses a timeout quickly trying to get that ball back and preserve time for their offense you got to believe they just want to run it take care of the football and keep that clock moving on second and nine the hand off keep working on that clock they bring him down and he's going to lose a yard on that one quick timeout called by the defense stopping the clock to save as much time as possible for their offense if they can convert here that type of play can really give you a shot of momentum throws to the wide out wide open down field man this quarterback is going to have to be deadly accurate here in these two
