what is going on everyone Christian picks.com here with your free pick in the Bucknell versus leehigh college basketball matchup going down Monday February 12th 2024 just a reminder if you haven't already make sure you're subscribe to our Channel and smash that thumbs up and if you're looking for my Best Bets the games that I love including my daily $19 best bet make sure that you head on over to pick dogs.com and click the premium picks tab at the top of the page but let's get to this one between Bucknell and Lehi and buck now coming into this one 10 and 15 on the Year s and five against the number they've alternated wins and losses each of their last four ending up with a 7762 loss at the hands of Boston U last time out while Lehigh comes in 8 and 15 on the year they're coming off a double overtime victory over Lafayette in their last matchup to improve to eight and 15 on the year five- seven in conference play and I'll tell you Lafayette you know stumbling a little bit over their last couple games and you know give uh give Lehi credit for for going out and taking care of business there and uh Bucknell you know sort of hold on to a top four spot in The Patriot League while Lehi kind of muddled around between uh Fifth and Ninth you know five teams that are separated between a game in the conference standing so both teams could definitely use the win here as uh as Bucknell tries to chase down Lafayette for that second seed in The Patriot League I think uh Colgate starting to turn into a bit of a runaway here but you know you look at Lehi and their their numbers over conference play have definitely improved over the course of the Season as opposed to their their numbers from just overall this season overall this season 307th in adjusted off offensive efficiency putting up 98.5 points per 100 possessions but in conference improving that by five points per 100 they're also leading the conference in free throw rate and free throw shooting uh they're shooting 73.6% from the foul line and that is a definite weakness of this Bucknell team is you know they allow teams to get to the foul line they're ninth out of 10 teams in free throw rate allowed this uh this conference play but the one area in open Play where Lehigh does their best work is two-point range they're shooting 53.6% from two but they're going up against the third best two-point defense in Bucknell uh Bucknell allowing teams shoot 47.7% from inside the arc so that negates that Lehi advantage and Lehigh not a really great three-point shooting team either on the other side of the coin you got Bucknell who have been really good in conference play Third an offensive efficiency third an effective fuel goal percentage second and three-point shooting which is a big weakness of this Lehigh defense the problem for Lehi is the defense is weak all over it's just especially from behind the arc you know they're allowing the most three-point attempts per game in the conference and Bucknell shooting the Third most on offense third most threes per game they're also second most dependent in the conference for three-pointers for their offensive production 38.2% of bucknell's points coming from behind the arc and like I said when you're the second best team going up against the ninth uh ninth best defense the second worst defense in the conference chances are you're going to be able to to exploit some uh to exploit some advantages I think that's what Bucknell does here I think they use that three-point Edge to to take down Lehigh especially being at home in this one I got to go with Bucknell in this one lay in the point and a half I'm might just take him on the money line whichever you choose either way it's going to be Buck now for me in this one that's going to be my free pick but just a reminder if you haven't already make sure you subscribe to our Channel and smash that thumbs up and if you're looking for my Best Bets you can find those at pic dogs premium why are your piic dogs check out our betting tools they're 100% free they're the best betting tools in the business and tools that you want to make sure that you have in your back pocket when you're making your Best Bets for the day's action and while you're at our YouTube channel make sure you have notifications turned on so you can be the first to be in the know when the newest content drops your pick dogs thanks for watching see you guys soon
