Travel restrictions in Malta | As of August 29, 2021 |Travel Requirements|Travel Advisory

Intro hi guys it's me again fanny it's f r a and i and welcome back to another vlog so for today's discussion i'll be sharing with you the travel restrictions at the moment here in malta [Music] so in my previous videos i have noticed that there are a few questions regarding the travel status here in malta kung tatanga was in the third country nationals and what are the travel restrictions at the moment so i thought of sharing with you the current travel restriction as of august of 2021 um i actually got the information from deputy minister.gov that mt under the travel tomata section i'll be putting the link down below so that you can access it yourself so let's start Current Travel Restrictions and there are two current zones at the moment the red zone in the dark red zone so orange will an amber or in walang green countries as of the moment the la mandela categorization which is the red and the dark red of course each of the category or zone has its own travel restrictions and i would say that the red one is less less stringent as compared to the dark green when you say darker it means to say how the situation or kovid situation at the moment in that specific country and unfortunately philippines india nepal pakistan london categorized saddam country so which i will later unexplain so before Travel Requirements for those people who have stayed in a red zone countries 14 days prior to travel to malta you are actually not required to seek travel approval before you can enter malta so if you are a fully vaccinated person you just have to bring with you your vaccine certificate and your passenger locator for which you can download online so with regard to your vaccine certificate you have to meet two requirements so number one you have to make sure that the vaccine that has been administered to you is ema approved at the moment there are only four vaccines that are approved by ema and those are pfizer moderna johnsons and johnsons and then astrazeneca and then you have to also make sure that your vaccine certificate is recognized by the superintendent of health of malta and at the moment these are the approved or recognized vaccine certificate by the superintendent of health malta in any case you have not met both of those requirements when you travel here in malta you have to present a negative pcr test that has taken seven not more than seven to two hours prior to your arrival in malta and then you have to also unfortunately take the 14-day quarantine in a facility mind you guys that the 14 days the quarantine is it's not free you have to pay for it it would cost you 100 euros per day so that would mean 1 400 euros for the whole duration of the quarantine and that would only include your breakfast so it means to say you have to pay separately for your lunch and for your dinner and other necessary costs that they will actually require like for instance a pcr test again after the 14 days quarantine same way for those people who have not taken their vaccine yet or those who are partially vaccinated and you came from a red zone country in the past 14 days or 14 days prior to your arrival in malta you need to present a negative pcr test and you have to also undergo the 14 days quarantine so in any case you have some medical concerns that impede you from having the vaccine you can actually send a request for an exemption for quarantine if you came from a red country zone by sending an email with the title of exemption request to covid19.health.gov.md so you have to provide them with some medical certificate from a specialist that would actually prove that you have a medical circumstance and in any case it will be approved what you have to bring with you or what you have to present upon arrival in malta is just a negative pcr test and a copy of the exception letter from the superintendent of public health here in malta Dark Red Zone let's now move on to the dark red zone so for those people who will be traveling from a dark red zone country you would actually need a special authorization from covet 19 betting before you can travel here in malta and even before you can apply for a visa or shenzhen visa going here in malta you would actually need to seek approval from the kovit 19 vetting case the travel is authorized you will be receiving a authorization code that will be attached to your passenger locator form and upon arrival here in malta you need to present a negative pcr test which was performed no longer than 72 hours from part your arrival in malta you also have to undergo a 14-day quarantine which again costs you 100 euros per day which only includes breakfast so again it's exclusive of lunch and dinner and exclusive of other tests that will be required since i don't have a specific idea guys how's the identity malta application going and how the process goes i ask a friend of mine who is working in a recruitment firm here in malta how does the drill goes now and only a few jobs that are being accepted or being approved to apply for a visa to come here in malta but a big but i feel like there will be a great improvement soon particularly in the hospitality sector the restaurants and hotels because there is this article from times of malta that's been published recently saying that there is a staffing crisis in malta and i have a great feeling that they would actually accept more um restaurants and hospital workers in the coming months the capital is staffing crisis guys because before like 2020 off restaurant and hotel workers to their home country because nagshat dhoni manager ransom and tourist that comes in solar but then right now since the borders are open the terrorism industry is picking up so you have no problem they don't have enough stuff so i have a great feeling that sooner or later um there will be an influx or there will be a great need um for staffing for for those sectors for hospitality sector and they would really allow more people to come here in malta so let's pray for that and so that not just here in malta but all over the world yung goku midnight situation will be better so we can go back to normal live a normal
