Madden 23 - Minnesota Vikings @ Philadelphia Eagles - Week 2 Thursday Night Football [Applause] it's Madden NFL 23 where we'll see teens who have been division Rivals since 1961. it's the Minnesota Vikings and the Philadelphia Eagles coming up next it's the NFL on EA Sports as you take a look there at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia PA tonight we've got a good NFC matchup on Town between the Minnesota Vikings and the Philadelphia Eagles [Applause] and high again everybody alongside my partner Charles Davis I'm Brandon Gordon and Charles when you and I were going through our final run-throughs at breakfast we kept thinking tonight we're going to get to see a couple of very good passing offenses and we're talking about both sides having multiple receivers that could have an impact on this game it's not just one guy that's going to make all the plays take him away maybe number two number three they make the big plays they'd impact who wins the game [Applause] 1st quarter here's the kicker Jake Elliott ready to get this one started and off we go from Lincoln Financial Field Ken etawagu now out of his end zone he will be brought down here inside the 20. good coverage as he's dropped it to 17. Minnesota's offense and QB Kirk Cousins set to go here not bad for a fourth round draft pick well over 100 career starts now and the chemistry with his top targets really odd point they spent a lot of time in practice in after practice making sure the routes are run well and he knows exactly where they're going to be on the field and when they get open he delivers [Applause] here's cook as they begin on the ground and in early how do you do right there as they're going to bury him in the backfield it'll go as a loss of a yard on the game's first play second and that's exactly what offenses try to avoid by using motion and throwing different formations up they hate when he can draw a beat on the play get a running start and make a big play behind the line of scrimmage as he did just there on second and 11 now cousins that is incomplete I will see more of them trying to get in the football over the backfield they love what he can do in open space and he'll believe that he creates mismatch as they can exploit Ed now a little trouble thus far on their opening drive as they come up on a third and 11. cousins to throw it he's going to get this one down to cook and that's not going to get him down he'll come up a well short of the first at about the 21. a gain of four not enough but it looks like punt time on their opening drive is its fourth down we're able to get the completion but unfortunately not able to get the third down conversion there on that play and I like how the defense approached that one they knew where the first down marker was and they decide whatever you want to have you can you're just not gonna get the first down excellent tackling right there so on fourth down on is the punter Ryan Wright it'll be a 51-yard punt that time and the Eagles will have it taking over First and Ten Philly's offense getting ready and Jalen hurts ready to lead them the second round pick who started his career at Alabama then finished with an electric senior season in Oklahoma tremendous production in college at two different universities and this is a guy who was a finalist for the Heisman Trophy still much more of a runner than a thrower but has plenty of arm and is capable of making the big throws downfield and don't underestimate his ability to think the game remember he's the son of a coach [Applause] hurts and the Eagles come up here First and Ten at their own 26. here's a play fake as they set up to throw toward the sideline and look at that catch dragging the toes and that's going to be a first down well done a good pick up there of 20 yards throw a lot of credit to the play caller here he saw the design in his mind and implemented it a little Zone stretcher here because they started to tie it in on the left side of the formation and set him on a Crossing route and this works really well where you can find that space between levels and they were able to do so for good yardage Kevin O'Connell clearly unhappy with that call and he's thrown that red challenge flag out on the field [Applause] did he keep those feet in bounds that's the question they've got to decide and I gotta say watching it in real time it was awfully close yeah certainly looked like a heck of a catch because he didn't appear to Bobble it which could complicate things but even with the benefit of Replay that's pretty tight now here's the call so not successful there on the challenge and he'll have to be careful from here on out because he'll only have one challenge remaining thank you First Carry for DeAndre swim and a gain of four gets him right two the Midfield strike when you find that kind of yardage you couldn't be more confident as a ball carrier and guess what you're gonna go back and tell your offensive coordinator I'd like to keep carrying it thank you following the pickup of four here's second and six [Applause] from the Midfield stripe they'll look to throw airing it out deep for Smith and that will be incomplete tried to dial up the long win way out there but it'll be third down the one with a dime look on defense two extra defensive backs on the field and covered up essentially every blade of grass they've allowed them to disrupt the play so after the second down incompletion they'll come up now against a third and six throwing from the gun it's hurts and he can't find a receiver and he's brought down multiple players combined for their team's first sack of the game it always up for a visiting team to come to this set the tone on defense in fact when we talk with them prior to the game they said they want this home crowd to feel like they had to hide their valuables when they were in town well the home crowd quiet now early see if their offense can take over and get some points on the board here's Aaron sipos out now to punt on Fort down back deep Brandon Powell and a nice job here on special teams this will be down inside the 10 at the eight yard line absolutely love the flexibility of these Putters their leg Drive able to get it way up in the air and that allows their punt team to get down there and down it inside the 10 because they've had some time the Vikings taking the field here for their second Drive of the game they're gonna have to go at least 50 60 yards here if they want to ensure that they don't have to pump the ball like they did last time yeah so what you're saying is we're not planning to just get out of the shadow of your own goal line right you're playing to make sure the punter doesn't see the field again so it's not picking up a couple of first downs you want to pick up five or six first downs and make sure you move the ball to their territory cousins now to throw on first down and cook has it left side so give him two yards there on the completion and that'll bring up second down and we see another pitching catch there to the running back this position just continues to evolve is critical to the passing attack there's a lot of receivers tight ends because their ability to make people Miss in the open field can really generate big plays for an offense throwing again on second down cousins and this one taken in on the right sideline but not in the field to play they say it's incomplete a little too far it brings up third down looked like he had a couple of different options as far as who to throw to on that play and who am I to say this but I'm not sure he made the right decision well the window of opportunity is always going to be small in the NFL that's why those quarterbacks are made quick decisions and now quick releases had the most success in this league at this pass is going to wind up in complete one but you absolutely have to like how this defense has played thus far they have yet to allow this offense to get untracked in this one here's Ryan right now as he'll kick it away for the second time [Applause] so a change of possession here on the pond and it will be Eagles football First and Ten so back onto the field here come the Eagles for their second Drive defense got the better of them last series forcing a punt see if they make a few changes in the game plan here and try to get points out of this drive First and Ten [Applause] questions [Applause] they've got good starting field position as they come up here First and Ten at the 39-yard line [Applause] Burt sets up to throw it open mayonnaise Devante Smith and he'll be taken down but not before they work this to the 45. of course the catch was nice but how about what happened after they will stay on his feet and gain all that additional yardage so many of these slot guys I think have running back in their background [Applause] on First and Ten at Swift they'll get this to the 40. sweet little Duke in there got him some extra yardage give him five on the carry there and it'll be second down you know what really fires up offensive lineman when the guy that is carrying a ball behind them can create his own space and break a tackle along the way the first down run got five here's second and five throwing his hurts [Music] and that's out to the flag for Swift and he's going to be marked down just inside the 35. that's a pretty play there come out of the backfield but as that back you've got to be conscious of making sure you're securing the football when you get out in open field sometimes you get a little loose with it as you're trying to get up ahead of steam make sure you keep it close to your body because those Defenders are trying to punch it for eight he does a nice job there protecting the ball and picking up a first down from the 34 now here's First and Ten Swift gonna try up the middle and he'll get it down inside the 30 to the 29-yard line five yards on the carry good pickup on first down oh that was the thing the beauty right there look at how quick those blockers fired off the line once the ball [Applause] all in sync and the defense is lucky that play only picked up five yards from the 29. hurts escaping the pressure right and he'll be taken down in about the 22-yard line that's an early scramble can be viewed positively by either side from the offensive point of view it begins to establish it as a possibility to keep it on certain plays and defensively they're going to give me up a huge play with one of their first tests in containing a quarterback on the Run [Applause] let's go on First and Ten it's hurts Zaki is here hauling it in and he gets it inside the 10 to the nine the pickup goes for 13 and sets him up first and goal great mix of play calling so far three runs three passes all three passes have been completions first and goal I think on defense now you have to almost take a chance rely on your scouting pick a play you think they would run here and just load up for it and see what happens [Applause] so first and goal from the nine yard line here's Hertz to throw looking End Zone but it's incomplete my first thought is surprise because that's one of the better tight ends around and I've seen him pulling balls like this before but how about a little credit to the defense forcing that incompression [Music] another shot from the nine on second and goal [Applause] back to the running game with swift a minimal gain there on the eighth play of the drive partner I know we're in a goal to go situation but my goodness think about running the ball here not even a thought is it defensively they're in a prime spot and I think the defensive guys are probably expressing themselves to them as well I wouldn't run it here guys you might want to try throwing it they'll look to throw on Third and goal yeah he's got it and he takes this down to about the two before going out of bounds a gain of five but not enough leads to a fourth and goal now that's going to be a tough one to explain when they get together to watch the game film isn't it I mean they had the right call had the out route he's got to know where the first down sticks are yet he steps out of bounds that close not their best play ER is good and the eagles they take a three-nothing lead so they're able to end that drive with three points in this one possession ball game and ideally you went into every drive with points post quarterback to tell you let's end it with a kick right a p-a-t that's number one field goal you'll take punts you really don't want to do that in this case they'll take the field goal and get prepared for the rest of the game after the field goal here's Elliott to kick it away taking it about the one and his guys will get the football right at the 20-yard one Minnesota's offense takes over possession they're still in search of an initial first down as they come up here First and Ten [Applause] now cousins and he's got his man in stride complete and he's brought down at the 24. after a gain of four they'll come up second and six now from the 24. cousins open man he's got him the tight in Hockinson they'll be brought down on the 30-yard line after a gain of six don't do that so they were looking to throw holding in the big right tackle that's real simple partner keep your hands inside in the chest area you're probably okay you get it out on the shoulders get them wide usually going to pick up a holding call here's cousins yeah this one taken in on the right sideline but not in the field of play they say it's incomplete but throw led him a little too far it brings up third down well they've got man coverage on the outside and my scouting report on these DBS tells me that they love to take matters in their own hands they want man coverage not Zone and there was good coverage there that forced the incompletion now on Third and long they'll look to throw over [Music] [Applause] I saw the pressure coming out and that just looked problematic hit him as he threw it and the interception ensued let me pay homage to the man who stood in a spot before he always talked about how much pressure is in the face of a guy and can he step into a throw and when you can't do that oftentimes interceptions result Eagles offense back out getting set for this next drive and they'll have good field position here following the interception and a chance to build on their lead as they start with a First and Ten [Applause] they had to settle for three last Drive hoping this second go around ends in six in good possession First and Ten they'll run right here with Swift and he Maneuvers up the middle for three and it's second down some of the most unselfish players on any football team defensive tackles because we asked them to just eat up blocks and allow other people to make tackles but when he can make a play himself as we just saw there that's a big day three yards on that last carry here's second and seven hurts man open left side as well and he's going to be brought down in about the 16. [Applause] oh it's a nickel set here defensively on Third and inches still wanted to be prepared for a pass they'll try and run here with Swift and he is into the end zone touchdown DeAndre Swift the 16-yard touchdown run and they are able to add on to their advantage but they were looking to pick up the first down on Third and short they got a little more than they bargained for finding the end zone as well and oftentimes in short yardage situations you get a lot of Defenders stacked into line of scrimmage partner so if you can get past that first wave there's usually room to roam and he found it Elliott Good with a p-a-t and the lead grows to 10 nothing scoring summary three-play drive and was polished off by the touchdown run from the 16-yard line so an early 10-0 lead for him now as they kick it away nuangu now from his end zone and only able to get this to the 19 so probably should have opted for the Touchback comes Minnesota not only are they in search of their first score they're in search of their first first down in this ball game as they come up First and Ten [Applause] try to shake off the interception from the last Drive he'll look to throw a good gain of nine before he's brought down at the 28. we've seen quite a bit of the short passing game here early on first quarter Heavenly we have and I think it works a couple of ways for this team because number one you throw the short game until they stop it if they're not going to stop you keep throwing in them occasionally you'll break a tackle and turn into a bigger game also if they start to creep up start to pressure receivers now you go over to the top take it deep and now you get some of those big shots downfield they'll roll him out right and his pass in complete I think it's time to get him some passes and he's comfortable with some easy throws some completions he's not even the 50 thus far but certainly that has played a big role into why they are trailing right now they tried to throw on second down unsuccessful now it's third and one they'll run it here's Cole and that little Deek the juke move that we saw able to give him the first down yardage before he's brought down and it's a gain of four there and it gives him a new set of downs and Brandy know that expression he just does what he does it sounds trite doesn't it but in this case is perfectly apt this is one of the better runners in the NFL and all he does is just find Avenues find ways to pick up key first down in big runs [Applause] from the 32 now here's First and Ten First Carry now for Alexander Madison they use his blockers to get this up over the 40. a gain of four last play they doubled that here and get eight well you're down early how do you get back in the game maybe establish the run I think they're trying to do that I'll move you on that one and what I like about the message is that there's no Panic from the head coach he's already told his offensive coordinator let's run the football let's get things settled down a little bit and find our way back into this game [Applause] eight yards the tally on that first down run here's second and two cousins gives way to cook and he's going to be out of bounds but not before he takes it inside the 40. that good for 22 what a first down I have to admit I'm excited by that play call and the end result because this is a team that's down big early in the first quarter and a lot of teams will just Panic abandon the Playbook and just start firing the ball all over the place it's way too early for that stick to what works for you down double digits and we talked about their game plan being both running and passing there you're right they're sticking to the game playing getting the ground game going a lot of football left to be played so from Philadelphia territory now here's a First and Ten at the 38. again it's cooked he'll be hit down at the 33 five yards on the play well they're making an effort to get the ground game going tonight so far it's working a Lifeboat was in from the offensive line they seem to have the leverage going and they're controlling things and re-establishing the line of scrimmage moving that defensive front backwards but also like with the runners giving us too it appears that he's been waiting all day long to get out here and take off second and five now cousins that's complete to KJ Osborne and he has another first down as they'll get the ball down to the Eagles 21. give him 12 yards on that one it earns him a fresh set of downs you can almost hear The Sire relief coming from their sideline and from their point on the field because this has been a tough start for them thus far a much needed first down there it needed something good to happen plays like that will continue to help them dig out of this hole 10-nothing the score after one on EA Sports [Applause] the Vikings with the football here to 2nd quarter begin the second quarter this offense finding its legs now here's another First and Ten a give left side to code and he gets it inside the 10 to the nine 43 yards rushing for him now and he's carrying the ball just five times for a lot of guys playing this game there's no better feeling than running right through a tackle example lower center of gravity and churn his legs for a really nice pickup [Applause] [Applause] first and goal and they got to be thinking a chance to get right back into this football game throwing his cousins nowhere to go here a lot of bad news on that play for them wasn't there lost the football lost a lot of yardage but I think the good news outweighs it able to retain possession that was big for them [Applause] very fortunate to get another shot here's second and goal from the gun here's cousins swinging this out wide here for cook and they're going to get this down to about the 17-yard line here he's already proven to be a factor in the running game on this drive now he gets involved in the passing game I think what we're seeing here is the modern version of Workhorse in the NFL being able to run it and catch it with equal proficiency third and goal for cousins [Applause] they still can't get it and he's left with no option here but the problem but also driving spans all that time and yet you may only Come Away with three points here well your deep actually like these long drives they get to rest over on the sidelines for a while but when you're not finishing with points in terms of touchdowns that's frustrating they've got to figure out how to close out these long drives and get sixes instead of threes the kick by Joseph is good and they get themselves on the board here it's 10-3 so no problems at all on that one and you know there's virtually no win this is a kicker's dream here tonight it absolutely is isn't it so to me with no wind it should be a pastor's dream as well right but in this case the defense held out head to force the field goal Joseph now to kick this one away this take it in at the goal line and no alley to be found the coverage was solid and he's dropped at the 18. and out now come the Eagles the offense running out and they are charged up ready to go after reaching the End Zone on their last drive and normally I'd warn against getting complacent just because they scored the last time out but I don't think there's any worries with this group right now this is a hungry group and they want to keep building off of their last drive now they just want the officials to hurry up and place the ball so they can snap it and get back to work they'll start on the ground with Swift it's a six-yard pickup but it gets him to Second and four if you're in the offensive huddle you're smiling after that play because you certainly got them guessing now second and short could they just hand it off for another big game or did they take advantage of this spot to take a big shot downfield the last run got six now second and four [Applause] they'll stay on the ground with Swift and he'll manage only a couple here up to the 25. we talk about Defenders specifically linebackers keeping their eyes in the right spot he had that hide down the entire time and you know that's not easily done because they throw a lot of misdirection at you they try and fool you and get your eyes in the wrong place but you're right about that one he correctly figured that one out and made a really nice play perhaps away to his left and he'll be taken down but he does have first down yardage the drive stays alive a third down gain of eight they made a nice effort to stick in with a loss for that play but it's going to take more than that to keep it from advancing the ball should be an entertaining battle anytime he tucks and runs over the second half of this contest [Applause] foreign so they'll come up first in 10 now from the 33. [Applause] from the gun it's Hertz got his man complete over the middle it's Smith so the completion good for six yards that's second down [Applause] he'll look to throw complete to Zacchaeus it'll be a pickup of four good enough to earn him yet another first down never make the mistake of the slot receivers especially the little guys that we're watching here are just quicker than fast a lot of them combine quickness and speed and they catch a lot of footballs as we just saw there [Applause] foreign a couple of first downs has the football positioned at the 43 as they come up first and 10. they'll look to throw right in that he brought down just shy of 40. average guys in espresso now when they thought they were going deep ends up curling inside for a nice chunk of yardage [Applause] community [Applause] from Viking territory now they'll come up First and Ten at the 41. a handoff swift running to the left and this one's going to go the wrong way losing yardage back at the 42. officially it's a one-yard loss that's going to bring up second and 11. I like the strategy extra tight ends extra beef they want to run the football but that means they probably won't run it inside he gets strung out on the perimeter here in Peril yeah we saw the result negative yardage off the play fake here's Hertz out to the left left into the tight end got him and he gets his down inside the 35 before going out of bounds so much goes into a successful play doesn't it how about that play action there freezing the defense just enough spring to tight end free downfield for the completion [Applause] the Eagles on third down they've hit two for four thus far here it's third and two throwing from the gun it's hurts incomplete I see the surprise in your face there partner that is a rare incompletion from him he's been on point this entire game he has percentage completion Wise Way up not that time [Applause] they'll try it now with Swift and he's not first I don't even think he made it back to the line of scrimmage he needed a couple but he didn't even get back to the line of scrimmage and the Vikings defense is going to get the football back partner when you see a running play stop short like that you just know that the defensive front they won the Battle of Leverage and created the push back into the opposing backfield and for the offensive coordinator whether you had one yard to go or 20 yards to go on fourth down now you're probably saying oh maybe I should have passed it right yeah hindsight is always 20 20. [Music] let's go let's go let's go [Applause] cousins in the Vikings were they First and Ten at the 34. they'll come out throwing here to start the drive though going for Jefferson downfield he knocked away and incomplete well the first two drives on the yield to three points they might be thinking it's time to make something happen push the ball downfield and try and gain some points that way unfortunately incomplete an incomplete pass on first down that leads to a second and ten cousins now [Applause] and he's going to have to eat this when his daddy goes he couldn't get away he'll wind up losing a dozen yards a 12-yard loss and it brings up third okay I'm not sure you could actually draw a better pass rush than that one right there nowhere to go outside he had to keep backing up and backing up and backing up eventually dropped for a huge loss [Applause] cousins with work to do after the sack as he brings his guys up on a third and long he'll drop to throw this goes out wide from Madison finding space at the 40. and past the 40. before he's out of Dodge the heck of a play there on third down but amazingly they're still short for fourth a lot of times the key is just getting the ball let him do his thing and they got it out to him on the left side and he did exactly that excellent run after the catch foreign [Applause] here's Ryan right now as he's on to punt for Minnesota [Applause] he's been a busy man here in this first half as he gets it away and that hits at the six and Carries into the end zone for a Touchback Philadelphia getting sent to take the field a kind of a lucky break on the prior Drive Charles the turnover on Downs at the offense had didn't come back to bite them after the other side their defense came through was able to hold them without any points I would agree with you partner a little bit of a lucky break indeed but you know what they'd say to us no luck just pure skill we Rose to the challenge and we didn't permit a score that's how we roll I'm kind of curious Charles if they might temper their aggressiveness now offensively if they get in that fourth down spot again yeah one would think so but maybe because they held them they might go for it again now meanwhile a pass that should have been intercepted but it winds up falling incomplete that certainly appeared to be a play call where they were just trying to mix second down second and short I think they thought the coverage was off a little bit more than it was nice job there pressing up on it and forcing me in completion throwing again on second and ten hurts he's going to float this one deep right side and he bats it away and it falls down incomplete early on the running game's been working well and the offensive line has been pleased by that the thought process there catch those safeties creeping up trying to help against the running game they tried to hit him over the top unsuccessfully now they face a third and ten after back to back in completions [Applause] throwing his hurts [Applause] but he's not gonna have a first down they say he was out of bounds so a big call there that brings up fourth well they came up with points in their first two possessions but looks like they'll come up empty here on their third Drive the defense finally starting to get locked into them a little bit might have to go a little bit deeper into their playbook on their next possession here's Aaron sipos now fair catch called for and made it about the 32-yard line Minnesota's offense takes over possession the crowd may be losing just a little bit of the edge after back-to-back punts they want some big plays they want to see some offense they want to see somebody break away whether it's through the air or on the ground now to be interesting to see where the patience is on both sides each head coach can you hang in there and not try and force something they can put your team in some Jeopardy cousins in the Vikings with a First and Ten at the 33-yard line here's a throw complete right side to start things out and he'll be out of bounds but able to get it up past the 45. give him 13 yards on the opening play of the drive and also give them a first down but one of the ways the quarterbacks keep all the receivers alive in a play Never lock in on any one guy make sure you keep your eyes moving scan the field and here he finds the open guy for a nice pickup [Applause] here's Madison running on first down and he edges forward it only gets a pair of yards out of it and it's second down throw any Lane that might have been opened there was closed pretty quickly and that was because the defensive front they won that battle at the point of attack at the line of scrimmage they used great leverage held their spot and stacked him up the last run got a couple here second and eight play action now cousins and that throw behind his man he missed him incomplete his back has been a Dependable safety valve all games they went back to him in his first read was covered just unable to connect so the play results in no game so the failure to connect on second down that leaves him staring up here at a third and eight to throw cousins that's complete to Justin Jefferson and all and all aside the 15 before they drop him a big play there on the catch and run 39 yards a very nice job right there work in the middle of the field able to create some separation and then utilize it to not just make the catch but turn up field once he got the ball in his hands all right [Applause] so how about this for field position after the big play inside the 15 now as they come up on First and Ten from the red zone now cousins another one on this play for Justin Jefferson so eight yards on the completion there and it'll bring up a second down in just a couple [Applause] now we've got movement up front and I think this is going to be on Minnesota now they nabbed the rookie there for the five-yard penalty so much going through his head you know it just has to be right all of his assignments and realizing every game he plays one of the better players in the league will be opposite in now after the fall start here's second and seven they'll throw again cousins they set up the screen that's complete so back to back plays each hit nothing third and seven now so many screen passes are the result of excellent acting by everyone but sometimes it doesn't play off you know the running back because he's he's eager to get the pass and sometimes he doesn't act very well about whether he's going to block or leak out or whatever and I think that they saw that that's why they're able to get to him on it forced out to his left and this is going to be incomplete attention for those types of thrives he put a lot of zip on that one needed just a little bit more finesse trying to get it to his back fourth down field goal try coming so cousins is off and on comes Greg Joseph for Minnesota Joseph's got it and that'll bring him back with him four so the margin shrinks a bit as back-to-back drives here for him in with field goals yeah we it's turning down three especially in the first half but you've got to finish these drives in the end zone that's got to be a priority nice to have a reliable kicker but outside of his agent you know you'd rather him kick one pointers instead of three-pointers Joseph now to kick this one away and the drive will begin at the 25 as Scott is going to stay in the end zone Here Comes Eagle offense now as they get set to take over here as we eat closer and closer to intermission Charles remember last time out they punted they would love to get points here especially if this is going to be their final possession of the first half yeah and this is where close games feel like because the pressure is on both sides but sometimes the pressure's a little bit higher on the team with the slight Edge because they're trying to hold on to that trying to increase it let's see how this one continues [Applause] they'll throw on first down with hurts and his throw is going to be incomplete by 75 he had an open look beyond the first down marker to his receiver but they just couldn't connect and now we'll send them back to the drawing board an incomplete pass leads to Second and ten from the 25. here's Hertz to throw dancing to his left all in all no gain on the play and it'll bring up third like it's been this negatively as he just got back to the line of scrimmage but when you really analyze it he took away a big play for the defense made it an uneventful run because he avoided a second and didn't but now before they reach the 50 [Applause] play that started back at the 25. two minutes remaining in this first half for football [Applause] from the Midfield stripe they'll look to throw and he's going to be taken down just shy of the 35. he's been making himself a weapon as a runner and the results they've been welcomed by his offense my question is about the defense we're watching right now partner even after he got him with a scramble earlier this drive they still aren't devoting enough attention to him I would expect it after that Kerry they'll do a much better job going forward spying on it by bassing Downs [Applause] so from the 36 now First and Ten hurts we'll try and set up the screen to Swift they'll be brought down on the 30-yard line after a gain of six and good yardage there on first down because sometimes all you need to do on the screen is get one key blocked definitely set your man free and that was pretty good pursuit to the football defensively or it could have gone for more and the ball on the 30. here second and four he'll look to throw and he'll get this into the hands of Swift once again the Eagles going to take the first of their timeouts as the stoppage will come with a little under a minute to go in this first half [Applause] [Music] on first down hurts complete Smith has it and he's here to be marked out just outside the 10. now another timeout called four by the offense as they get the stoppage with just under 50 seconds remaining in half number one [Applause] now a First and Ten at the 11. from the gun it's Hertz and that one could have come up short low throw I think he's got to be careful not to force anything into coverage right there there were really any throwing Lanes but the best part for him he's got second and third down to fall back on foreign after the incompletion on first down back to throw again and he comes back with one complete they get seven out of that so they're left with a third and three simple drag round here lined up out left and tried to work his way back across the field you probably saw me Twitch there partner because I think he wanted the ball a little bit sooner by the time he looked it in Defender was right on him coming up here looking for three yards to pick up the first he will find Smith In The End Zone touchdown Philadelphia great effort there that's the first half is winding down and the Eagles would have stim their lead here just before halftime and his Drive Charles very well timed as they score with very little tie remaining in his first half and I'm reminded that they get the second half kickoff as well so they can break this one wide open before the other guys have a chance to possess the football Elliott good on the extra point and that pushes the lead up to 11. so that one a pretty time consuming 10 play drive and it was finished off by a touchdown from Devonte Smith so not much time to speak of remaining in this first half as the kicks away and not wanting to risk anything here late in the half he'll just take a knee and they'll bring the football out to the 25. the Vikings going to take over here one more time before the half and with time quickly fading here in the second quarter not sure how aggressively offensively they want to play this I think we'll find out just how much they trust their guys in this situation if it decide to take a shot [Applause] they'll come out with a three tied in look on the first play of the drive and they're just going to run it here up the middle now the Vikings will use the second of their timeouts as they'll stop the clock with 12 seconds to go in this first half [Applause] they'll operate from the 32-yard line here second and three from the shotgun it's cousins toward the sideline he will have the first down good catch he was able to keep the feet inbounds it's a seven-yard gain and good enough to move the chains a little football 101 there you just see the receiver try to run down the defender meaning he goes right at him and really trying to move him a little bit towards the center of the field so he can put his foot in the ground and break to the out to the sideline and make a catch [Applause] let's complete and not much happening there he's taken down blood a late penalty flag in the backfield this looks like a roughing call that flag puts him on their heels a little bit more defensively as the officials walk it up field yeah and they could blame the officials all day wobble bottom line it's their own fault because to me that was an avoidable call stay focused and success throwing the football in that opening half meanwhile for the eagles they were even better throwing the football lots of open receivers to choose from and you can bet that'll continue to be a focus in the second half okay Coach appreciate it a one touchdown game here as we get set to resume play in the second half [Applause] [Applause] [Applause] so the eagles with the lead and they're 3rd quarter going to get this football first as the third quarter gets underway Scout on the return out of the end zone and in hindsight probably should have taken a knee as he only gets this out to the 16-yard line out come the Eagles now as he'll go on offense first here in the third quarter [Applause] hurts and the Eagles come up here First and Ten at their own 16. [Applause] third quarter starts with a run from Swift and he's taken down but not before he gets this across across 25-yard line 52 yards rushing for him now as he's running 11 times we don't talk about it very often but sometimes just a dip in intensity when you start the second half which can manifest itself in some sloppy tackling and how about right there he ran right through that weak tackle attempt [Applause] let's go [Applause] [Applause] on First and Ten it's hurts Smith catches left side and down he goes but he takes it up to the 40. so they'll of course decline the pass interference there and wisely take the yardage and I think defensively he's saying I was getting away with that in the first half why are you making that call now but to me that one was pretty easy to see I don't understand what he's upset about I think it was the correct call [Applause] foreign back to throw now on first down it's brown and he has a big gain inside the 40 before being dropped just his second catch of the game so far this one moves the chains well certainly it doesn't matter if it's been through the air like on this play or on the ground I don't know what's going on with this defense in a sense they've been AWOL on this drive so far three plays three first downs given up they've got to find the answers and they've got to find them quick [Applause] from Viking territory now they'll come up First and Ten at the 39-yard line throwing from the gun it's hurt he finds his tight end Goddard that's complete then he gets this to the 35 good for a gain of five so a decent game there but not their fourth consecutive first down like they had on the first three plays you sound almost disappointed there you want to fire the offensive coordinator they've gotten into a rhythm I thought they were just going to keep going almost a win for the defense but if that's your win you're not doing very well right now [Applause] from the 35 on second down hurts he delivers another to Gallery complete and this is going to turn into another first down as the tackle has made at the Vikings 22-yard line that one goes for 13 yards and it moves it sticks fifth catch of the game for him there yeah the tight end position is now becoming a volume pass catcher used to be occasional right safety valve throw one to him every so often but mainly they want him out there to block nowadays an integral part of the passing game and they create such great mismatches that they often become the leading receiver [Applause] they'll look to throw again man open left side as brown and he's going to be brought down in about the 16. [Applause] from the 16. hurts over the middle to Smith and he's going to be taken down right at the 10-yard line and defensively they were in zone coverage there do you have to be a little careful you're losing playing against a good quarterback like he is to not play too much Zone yeah you have to be careful about how much time you're giving up I think it's a good point you just brought up so maybe if you still want to play zone you go to his own Blitz game and you can drop anyone out of your defensive front defensive end defensive tackle it doesn't matter you just exchange someone to bring more pressure towards the quarterback and still try and cover downfield give him four yards there on the first down keeper that call makes sense because they've been throwing it well on this drive and once again they show passing formation showing the shotgun then they ran out of it that was a nice play by them defensively though to hold it to a short game on second down Swift and he gets halfway there from the six to the three on a gain of three just not a whole lot of room to operate there on that carry no not at all they did a really nice job staying in their proper places and not allowing any lanes to open up [Applause] they'll come to the line needing only two yards to gain the first here [Applause] on third down here comes Swift and this time he is DeAndre Swift with his second touchdown of the night and the Eagles Take the opening kick off for the third quarter and drive right down the field do it still Lee Circle that drive because that might be one to remember well executed to give him a little cushion well let's take it into the boxing ring he talked about them commanding it keeping the fight where they wanted to whether it was in the center of the ring or putting them on the ropes because it was jab jab jab and finally the Haymaker to put that drive away Elliott on for the extra point and the lead is up to 15 now the 10 play drive that time and it ends with a three-yard scoring run now after the touchdown here's Elliott on to kick it away and they'll put up the stop sign there as his guys will get it at 25. it's the Vikings turn on offense we get ready for their first possession of the second half the opposition laid down the challenge an opening drive touchdown here to start the second half and Charles now you feel like this group needs to get an answer because this all of a sudden is a two-score game yeah you're right about that what was a small magical spread to overcome a little bit more daunting now I think you're exactly right pressure is on because you don't want them getting the ball back with a chance to really extend this lead out cousins on first down throwing left side here in his complete and he gets this one just shy of the 40 down at the 39. first play of the drive going for 14 and also going for a first down but whenever you call and run the hitch round a lot of times that Ball's got to be in the air before the receiver even turns around that's the result of throwing it so many times in practice is really a timing route make sure that Ball's out of your hands and oftentimes receiver turns around and there's the ball nice completion there to the 43 second down that's just a pile of bodies there and that's when you kind of find out who's a tough guy right who can stand up and make a play it was only a three-yard run but for both sides they had to walk away from that feeling like okay I can stand up when the going gets tough in here play action now cousins and this is going to be caught but they'll say out of bounds so it's incomplete that was a nice grab just couldn't get the feet down right you need that toe tap sequence there whatever size shoe he's wearing probably about a half size smaller to complete that one this offense in desperate need of a conversion as they come up on third down now cousins he's got a man complete a big play there for Minnesota 41 yards now you need a big play go to your big play guy listen that's football 101. when you have to have it you you expect that guy to step up a lot of people call these receivers Divas sometimes just leadership when they get in the Huddle and say get me the ball I'm about to make a big play so the big play means just like that they'll operate from the red zone now on first down cousins to throw it and this one right back into the hands of Jefferson and they're going to lose some on this play being knocked back to the 18. that one unable to develop never got going a loss of a couple and it's second down and that was a heck of a play there on the outside partner sometimes they think on a pole like this as a corner you've got to think to yourself all you got to do is slow him down so others can come over and support but in this case he said forget that I've got this sorry he had to make the run for nothing fellas on second down Court the second down play not much better than the first just a gain of one there not too many offenses want to turn down long drives but when you're down what they are they some points seventh play in this drive coming up but a long way to go on third down throwing his cousins to the end zone but it's incomplete what an excellent defense to stand there in the Red Zone nice tight coverage and certainly recognized how important it was to bring up Fork down here fourth down field goal try coming so cousins is off and on comes Greg Joseph for Minnesota Joseph's got it and they're hanging around here as the leads down to 12. so the response to that touchdown on the other side to begin the third quarter look just three points but still a response nonetheless exactly right about that because I think you needed to answer back with something even though it's not six just enough to send the message that says hey we're not going away Joseph now to kick this one away and the drive will begin after 25 as Scott is going to stay in the end zone the Eagles coming out as they get ready the long drive last time out for this offense Charles if you remember they started basically in the shadows of their own End Zone marched it down the field and a lot of that was through the passing game a partner is a former defensive back I'm having almost a physical reaction watching what's happening right now but let's give credit words too because they've done an excellent job moving the ball through the air secondary getting picked apart pass by pass obviously they need to make some adjustments there on the back end yeah because offensively we know that they're not going to be shy about throwing that football across the 30-yard line it's a staple of this offense drag round to the tight end yeah he's unable to use his size to break off much more yardage after the catch but still an effective gain nonetheless here's a second and two now from the 33. [Applause] Hertz with a little pop pass on the Jet Sweep and he'll lose yardage brought down at the 32. this defense not fooled one bit on that touch pass and this has become one of one of Vogue plays but you understand why a lot of teams are running it these wide receivers a lot of them they've run like running backs with the ball in their hands throwing his hurts he's going to get that to Swift underneath and he'll get it up just short of the 45 at the 44. 12 yards is the pickup good for an eagle first down that's another beautiful throw right there gets it to his man right in stride and I think that throw kind of exemplifies what we've seen from this offense throughout this game they've been in Rhythm they've been sharp they've been on it and they pick up another first down there [Applause] they'll throw on first down with hurts looking left side and he's got a man that's brown and he'll be brought down on the other side of Midfield at the 43. the obviously Red Man covers their partner and he got downfield broke down the defender yeah he made him think he was going to run a different route probably thought he's going to take it up field and it curls back inside for the completion [Applause] okay from Viking territory now they'll come up First and Ten at the 43. [Music] here's hurts to throw completes a Zacchaeus and they're going to get this down to about the 37. won't they should open for it when you run drag routes you're able to hit a receiver in stride and you can pick up a lot of yardage after the catch but in this situation the defense was effective able to stop him before you get a good head of steam going [Applause] to throw again on second down hurts and he gets this one inside the 15 just a yard or two shy of the 10. big yardage there on the scramble it gets him a first down at this point this offense feels like they could just roll out anything and it would work they are certainly in no hurry for this one to end not when they can rack up some stats and continue to add to their lead [Applause] foreign [Applause] at the 11. [Applause] on the option to give to Swift here the nice football gets it just inside the 10 to the nine but no further two yards on the pickup there it'll be second and eight typically we think it's the strong safeties that are better tacklers especially closer to the line of scrimmage amidst traffic but in this case how about the free safety coming up and making the big time play the last run good for two here's second and eight [Applause] once again it's Swift and he has met quickly in the backfield down he goes folded like a lawn chair that's a big loss of three and it brings up third down oftentimes when you see a running back get bunched up in the backfield it's usually because the defensive tackle has eaten up blockers for others to make the play not in this case [Applause] ninth play of the drive coming up and certainly not an easy one on Third and long Bert sets up to throw it and that is in complete really good coverage all over the field it took away his intended read and almost dared him to try for his guy out of the backfield no surprise on that one it doesn't connect [Applause] [Applause] so hurts is off and on comes Jake Elliott for the eagle field goal from the left Hash A Chip Shot here the kick by Elliott is good and that will extend their lead even further so a nice kick there as they are able to add on to their lead and that's exactly what you're looking to do maneuver yourself into range that way if your drive stalls out you're able to get something out of it and they do so right there after the field goal here's Elliott to kick it away and this will not be returned it'll come out to the 25. now the Vikings offense gets set to take over here and tough to win games if you're going field goal field goal field goal here they got field goal last time and they'll be looking for a touchdown they're looking for the big chunk now because as you noted the field goal field goal field goal way of doing it makes it that much harder puts more pressure on every possession for you now go ahead and get six and feel a lot more comfortable about the position they're in bigger chunks we'll see if they can get the score here's cook as they begin on the ground they'll be dropped after a gain of about six across the 30 to the 31. from the Weidman to the guy running with it that was a well-executed first down by the offense with two shots left to get the first you can get a little aggressive here on second down if you want and try for some bigger yardage they'll come up now second and four from the 31. a 10th carry in the game for Cole a gain of five good enough for the first down apartment the defense isn't going to adjust and they keep giving them those five six seven yard runs over and over they're likely to run it the whole way to the end zone they'll be more than happy to take the yardage available and save some of their other plays in the playbook for another time and they're not going to get to the line to run another play so we will switch ins as the third quarter has come to a close this is the National Football League Audi a sports and welcome we are in the City of 4th quarter Brotherly Love Philadelphia it's the Vikings in possession of the football but they need some points they're trailing here to start the fourth now cousins and he's left with no option here but to throw it away if you can't give out a little Applause on that play it has to go to the defense more good work by them they've taken away the passing Lanes all game long and you can see the frustration that it's causing because he just about threw that one into the first row it'll Try Again from the 36 on second and ten now cousins throw left side complete that's has more that helps the completion percentage but not much else and now it's third and two past complete no yards yeah you file that as unsuccessful yeah you do don't you except on the stats throwing the ball get a completion you get a catch yeah but still no yardage okay on third down cousins he'll just get rid of it and he's pretty fortunate they didn't call for grounding on this one that was a good 10 feet over everyone's head here's Ryan right now he's been terrific so far [Applause] and no return on this one as the fair catcher signaled four and taken a 40-yard punt no return and they will take over First and Ten here's the Philadelphia offensive unit now as they head out to take over possession their two scores on the plus side still time here in this fourth quarter but maybe you start thinking about playing keep away yeah I think here's the situation you're not picking touchdowns anymore you're just thinking first downs to keep up with your theme there playing keep away first downs they can't touch the ball hurts and the Eagles come up here First and Ten at their own 20-yard line on the ground it's Swift to start the drive and he's going to get seven out of this before being taken down at the 27. I'm guessing you'd say this is kind of the key here grind out some yardage work on that clock see if you can continue to take it down definitely you want to bleed things out at this point right continue to possess the football gain some yardage and put the onus on the defense do they have to use timeouts what are they going to do to stop you you're taking charge perks right here taking in as he's able to find Goddard and he's going to be out of bounds right at Midfield good work after the cat's gonna net him 23 in a first offense because to me this job as well as known as a pull away drive you score here that might put this one to bed I like the fact that they're playing with confidence and not playing with beer [Applause] [Applause] from the Midfield strike they'll look to throw out round and it's complete to Brown and heavy brought down on the other side of Midfield at the 43. [Applause] looking to throw again on second down hurts and this would take it in on the right sideline but not in the field of play they say it's incomplete the throw led him a little too far it brings up third down the coverage was good but I just wondered if they absolutely fooled the quarterback on that play I think he was expecting something else ended up with nowhere to throw the football successfully hurts got him in it's brown and this is going to turn into another first down as the tackle has made at the Vikings 33. pickup of 10 means that this drive will stay on track the passing game continues to be their friend even with a stable lead here in the fourth Charles they're going back to that well yeah with their overall philosophy you know that they trust their quarterback he's been able to throw it well they continue to throw these safe passes who can blame them so they'll come up first in 10 now from the 33. here's the option going right and he's going to get this one down to the 30. give him three on the keeper there and it is second down typically on the read option play when we talk about responsibilities we're talking about with the quarterback has to go through how about the inside linebacker though his job on this play Shadow the quarterback and hold him to a short game did it to perfection [Applause] from the 30 on second down hurts Zaki is here hauling it in and this is going to turn into another first down as the tackle has made at the Viking 17-yard line 13 yards there on the play and a fresh set of downs [Applause] time let's go from the 17 now here's a first and 10. from the red zone now they'll look to throw quick hitter here it's complete this will be stopped about two yards shy of the marker eight-yard gain second and two as Ambassador always trying to find that open window to throw the ball downfield how about this one right in the middle of the field right in the heart of a defense [Applause] thank you [Applause] two yards left on second down from the nine they'll set up a throw he's got Dallas Goddard is tied in over the middle touchdown Eagles Jim and Hertz on target to Dallas County and the Eagles have put this one to bed here in the fourth quarter I heard you use the term put away drive and that right there seemed like the definition of a putaway drive yeah it certainly just pops right up out of the book doesn't it because two scores already football keep converting and picking up first downs and if the drive ends in three points that's terrific if it ends in a touchdown fantastic Elliott Good with a p-a-t and the lead opens up now to 22 points so that drive 80 yards nine plays and the drive was all finished off on the touchdown catch by Dallas Goddard now after the touchdown here's Elliott on to kick it away from his end zone that ultimately cannot get this out to the 25-yard line as he's dropped it to 23. comes Minnesota see if they can put this Drive In The End Zone Charles because it's been a little bit of a rough go at times they've had to punt the football a ton in this ball game because of stalled out drives so are you saying that you're kind of tired of seeing the punter run out there and do his thing during this game is that what you're trying to say well I mean I'm okay with it I have a feeling that this offense they don't want to see the punter again and frankly the punter doesn't want to run out there anymore himself he'd love to see his offense put together a drive and give his leg a rest to the sideline and wow what a catch there he doesn't get a lot but he was able to get the feed down complete will be a gain of just a yard and that'll make it second down can you do any more work and make it more dramatic for not much game than what we just saw there did you see how his toes got down Tip Tap Tip Tap got him down but what'd he get out of it he sold the sizzle he just had no steak maybe he wasn't one yard yeah plays like that you at least expect the first down there just one yard he's going to be dropped following a pick up a seven past the 30 to the 32. we decided to run a hitch right it really helps out again we can turn it loose and boy he rifled one in there on that one not much run after catch but it worked really well the offense on third down tonight they've had a lot of chances but not much success converting only three times [Applause] that's sad courtesy of the effort of Hassan Reddick and just not much a quarterback can do their CD the pressure was in his face almost instantaneously led to a very quick set yeah that's one return to your live and say hi guys can I get a little help here and you have to ask politely because remember they're blocking for you the entire game but as a quarterback you've also got to have the clock running in your head when you need to get rid of the football but this time he had no chance they were on immense to win desperation time cousins on fourth down he sets to fire d that is a the Vikings unable to convert here on Fourth and the Eagles are going to take over in great field position well at this stage of the game in the second half down three scores I guess they felt like they needed to push and let's face it with this deficit if they give up another score here after they didn't get it does it really matter right it really doesn't they had to go and try and make something happen if they had any chance of winning this game [Applause] on First and tenant Swift just a yard on the pickup there and it'll bring up a second and nine oh there's plenty of traffic waiting for him up the middle but give him credit he tried barreling through anyway they're fortunate to get a yard out of that one [Applause] the Run only got a yard here's second and nine here's a handoff to Swift running left and he'll be taken down near the 20 at the 21. only gets three yards there on the heels of the one-yard pickup sets up third and six well that's not a run that's going to make any of the Highlight tapes but they've been moving it well all game on the ground this is another one that keeps them moving forward they are in need of six yards here if they hope to move the chains [Applause] they'll run the Jets win sweep of brown and they'll get to him short of the first down and about the 16. it's a gain of five but it'll lead to a fourth down defensively they had that one pretty well figured out yeah one of the things about this play it can be even more effective when you run a lot of motion and there's plenty of times you don't hand it off the kick by Elliott is good and that will extend their lead even further so the starting field position was terrific following the surprising turnover on downs but the end result only three points simply stated I think you have to look at that as a missed opportunity after the field goal here's Elliott to kick it away and he'll put up the stop sign there as his guys will get it at the 25. Minnesota's offense takes over possession and last time went for it on Fourth didn't get it let's see if they can pick themselves up off the mat and do better this go around sometimes I have this vision of coaches writing notes to themselves before a game and sometimes that note says be aggressive stay aggressive maybe that's what we saw in the last possession yeah they were very aggressive this time will it result in points we'll find out on First and Ten cousins and down he goes the Eagles get there for the SAG losing eight on the sack there added second down well partner you and I'll be headed to the airport but after this game when it's interview time someone's going to ask his quarterback what hurt worse the interceptions are the sacks this whole day [Applause] most is the loss [Applause] gotta imagine the pass rush will be equally intense here on second down following the sack it's second and 18. to throw cousins his throw incomplete and that play was certainly a little bit different because on the previous play he was sad this time protection a lot better had time to survey the field and still couldn't find an open receiver [Applause] an incomplete pass on that last play and that means they'll need to come up with something here on third down to throw his cousins in a tie game Lady not in the lopsided game like this they are not letting up hey here's Ryan right now as the drive goes backwards so he's on to punt it away and he deserves a bronze leg as he gets this one away and now this offense comes back out onto the field but not that any of the points would be needed but CD they've got enough time left here they can definitely score on this drive maybe even an ensuing drive as well if they really want to drive home this Landslide victory yeah we're certainly about to see just how aggressive they want to be here down the stretch and what some coaches do to try and meet it halfway meaning they want to continue to run their offense but they'll put in a lot of backups to do it and then tell the opposing coach hey I had to get them some work too I can't just let them sit over on the sidelines all the time and they'll run the option to start the drive he's taken down right at the 45-yard line an ideal beginning of the drive there is they'll get 20 in a first down but I'll tell you there is no antidote for Speed even at the quarterback position as he keeps it himself and turns it into good yardage and it still takes time for a Defender to react even as quarterbacks carry the ball more and more in today's NFL they still a little bit in disbelief and realize oh my goodness he's running with the ball he may be eight 10 12 yards downfield at that point [Applause] Swift gonna try up the middle he'll work his way up the middle for a gain of about four and second down and that was a quality play to start a new set of downs that was simply an offensive line winning the battle up front and Wing in a big way and giving their guy in the backfield a nice Lane to hit the Run got four now they deal with a second and six [Applause] they'll go with the option coming right and a short gain there down to the 37-yard line he'll wind up getting three on the keeper there but it leads to a third down let's give a lot of credit to the offensive line they've been able to move the ball really well on the ground the entire game and while that wasn't a huge one that's okay they'll take him in short steady bursts they'll try and run here with Swift gets it to the 34 good enough for the first third down gain of three yards and that'll be enough Brenda with a defense just simply can't get off the field on third down we all know how important that down is for both sides of the ball you often feel like you're just a step behind whenever they're doing offensively and one of the differences in this game no doubt third down conversion and that is going to be a story they'll talk about after this one [Applause] from the 34 now here's First and Ten [Applause] on the handoff this is Swift down to about the 32. give credits in the defense for stringing that play out and they gave up no cutback angle you know he was trying to Dart through no place for him to go a nice job there only giving up a three-yard game just two minutes remaining here in the fourth quarter of what has been a one-sided affair so it's Eagle football here as we get you reset they've got a second down now as they look to Salt this one away they will run straight ahead with Swift and he'll be a couple yards shy of the Red Zone here at the 22-yard line 87 yards rushing for now with a couple of touchdown runs to boot well that's a carry they have to be satisfied with and throughout this game they've been satisfied with what he's given them whenever they've needed a big run a first down he's the guy they've turned to and it doesn't matter what the defense thinks they feel like they've got the confidence to keep handing it to him and keep picking up good yardage all runs on this drive so far it's First and Ten here's a head off to Swift and he can only manage to get a couple second and eight coming up and we talk all the time about those hybrid players guys who could do more than one thing and I think if you play strong safety in the NFL today you are a true Hybrid part linebacker part cover gal and coming up sticking his nose in the mess there and making a nice play defensively [Applause] running is Swift and there's still about three yards shy of a first as the four-yard pickup brings it to third down well if you're going to have a relay race you're probably gonna pick your backs and receivers to run it but don't underestimate the conditioning of the offensive line they're out there just dictating things staying on the field and keeping a long drive going [Applause] so it's a victory here for the Philadelphia Eagles and it was their defense that led the way allowing just three points that lone field goal in the entire second half and remember the old adage offense sells tickets defense does what wins championships and in this game maybe a championship wasn't one but a game was by the defense right Helen just a field goal that's a heck of a job I mean when they went out there with that determination and and a pretty good game plan pretty good idea what they wanted to accomplish just love the execution love
