Luke gner is set to achieve a significant milestone in his rugby league career with his 100th NRL game approaching as the penr Panthers take on the south Sydney raberto this Friday night at Blue bet Stadium will be a special moment for Garner who has quietly become an integral part of the Panthers forward pack Ghana's journey to this point has been anything but straightforward the 28-year-old dble boncl started his NRL career with the West tigers making 75 appearances over five seasons during his time at the Tigers he honed his skills and built a reputation as a Dependable forward however it wasn't until he moved to penre in 2023 that he truly began to flourish culminating in a grand final Victory with the Panthers in his first year at the club reflecting on the Milestone gner expressed a sense of Pride and accomplishment it's very cool he said there were a few moments in my life where I didn't think I'd get to play even one game let alone 100 it's pretty special once I get through Friday night I'll be able to sit back and reflect a bit more on it right now I'm just focused on the game Ghana's part to NRL success was paved with challenges before breaking into first grade he worked as part of a ground staff team maintaining Lawns and 4ot pictures this experience he believes instilled in him a strong work ethic and a determination to pursue his dream of playing professional rugby league that definitely taught me hard work gner explained it also taught me that it was definitely not what I wanted to do for the rest of my life despite facing setbacks including being overlooked by the Sydney roosters and missing several games this season due to a hamstring injury Ghana's resilience has been a defining feature of his career his time with the roosters where he primarily played in The Reserve grade was a crucial Turning Point as a younger guy I was turned away from teams and when I was at the roosters I was told more or less that I probably wouldn't be a first grade player getting pushed away from the roosters back then I look back on that as the best thing for me now as gner prepares for his 100th NRL appearance he remains focused on helping the Panthers turn around a recent slump and build momentum heading into the finals last week against the Raiders was disappointing but we took plenty of lessons from it gner said we have to try and learn from those things and not take the losses too hard we still a good team we still in the top four Ghana's journey is a testament to perseverance and the importance of seizing opportunities his story resonates not just with fans but with anyone who has faced OB obstacles on the path to achieving their dreams as he steps onto the field this Friday Ghana's 100th game will be a celebration of his resilience and dedication to the sport he loves and while he takes pride in this Milestone gner is far from satisfied with his eyes firmly set on adding another Premiership to his tally stay subscribed for more videos
