Austin Ekeler sees early similarities between Jayden Daniels and Justin Herbert

what did you think of Jaden the other day how exciting was it to see a young quarterback yeah uh I've been this is my second Young quarterback I've been around uh first one was herb um and so now getting around Jaden too seeing kind of the progress that he's making uh what I like about both of them is they had leadership skills early on taking control out on the field you know Jaden out there CH changing protections changing routes like that's what I want to see U from him and I know his growth is on a good trajectory because of that any parallels with what you saw with Justin yeah absolutely that's what I'm talking about I just talking about how you know hey when you see those early steps of hey being able to command the offense when you know for the first game that we've been in uh it's a good sign thanks buddy yeah you've seen a lot in this league what do you think of uh of Jaden's start the other day oh was great um I think he did a great job first of all controlling the emotions um I remember when I was a rookie and just everything that you've ever worked for everything you ever dreamed of you know to put on the Jersey there's just a lot of emotions and for him to be able to control those things make a few great plays um I think it's to start of something great both number two overall picks both hosman Trophy winners how much do you see things Jaden is like approaching and and try to just offer a little bit of guidance on and off the field yeah I just I just try to help wherever I can um you know and I appreciate the fact that he's willing to ask questions and um you know I think as we approach this with him it's just give him as much experiences as we can um you know I feel like I've learned a lot through everything that I've been through um toita has Jeff has David has um so just being able to give not only uh Jaden but also Sam just everything everything that we've been through so that these guys can kind of hit the ground running you're looking forward to maybe playing a little bit more against Miami I would love to I would love to and uh anytime you get the chance to put the uniform arm and and and play it's just it's it's always a dream come true for me so I'm looking forward to it hopefully we'll get out there and do some more things
