course salt of the earth American champion your American hero in mine well we'll get to that mjf defending his American championship against will Osprey the the country boiler alert yeah he loses his championship to will Osprey and what we have to decide now if this was the best match thus far see we knew we we specifically reserved this time to record and talk about this epic match that just transpired because we knew that Mercedes Monae and Brit was going to have to follow it and Tony con I just want to say this it's very very very terrible what you do to these women yeah the spot you you you really put them in the you set them up to fail I mean Mariah and and Tony storm had a hot opener uh well were they the opener they were yeah they were they were the opener no the uh oh I'm sorry the death triang the trios no one cares about that but um they were the opener for me Mariah May won it very very excited very happy great not great match but good match this is just strange the night is strange I'll just say will Osprey though obviously the smart money was on him getting his title back of course uh mjf created that American Championship as like a thumb to you know will Osprey and England itself and all that like just to kind of dig more salt in the wound yeah but the problem I was having was not the fact that they were facing as I said to you the problem I had is their Dynamite match was so goddamn good it was so good it was a t of two stories yeah but it was it was definitely a t two stories this one you kind of knew um you kind I mean it it was it was foretold subtly that will Osprey was going to win in in wimbley cuz it made perfect sense but uh but that but their first match their first match was more of of a wrestling match with a Twisted Twisted finish this one you know you had your outside interfer or not interference I guess your what would we call Danny Garcia he would he was The X Factor uh something more than than than an X Factor he he he was the death Nell to mjf's American Championship Reign he was definitely the Catalyst to propel Osprey to retain to regain the um International Championship as it'll be told again I got to tell you we're watching Mercedes in the background she definitely got the way better entrance than bit Baker bit Baker got a dynamite entrance like not a dynamite is in boom but a dynamite is in like a Wednesday night entrance and Mercedes gets a queen's Queen's calling here like she just comes out came out horse and carriage she's got the long train the big um she looks cool but I got to say who the [ __ ] are you guys chanting CEO is anybody chanting CEO or is that piped in I'm not sure we're not we're really not sure and you were at well there wasn't CEO at the time yeah yeah yeah she just came out and plus uh you know she was at home so she was at home so it doesn't really like back back to JF Danny Garcia as the intercessor you would say yeah um to kind of put an end to mjf versus Osprey and let those two focus on each other are you excited about mjf and um Danny Garcia I'm not excited but I will take it like you said like I I think the way it pivoted to MGF and Osprey this would be like a downgrade now that's the sad thing because MGF and Osprey has been great but I do want to give Garcia is good Garcia is really good he he he is good but do you have I mean this is great for Danny Garcia who is I know you hate to admit this but who is the future of wrestling sir no I don't mind that particular analogy it's when you start using it for like hook and um you know future using it for hook and uh Nick Wayne Nick the future and Wardlow wll please him to Connecticut like listen Hunter wll take a look at wll we need wll and Roman Reigns at WrestleMania next year w low and Cody at WrestleMania we when you use those names in the same sentence is what you just said that it gives a really big turn in my stomach where is Ward but like go figure that you know never mind getting distracted in the background mjf though did a stellar job the guy is as smooth as silk in the ring he really really does his spots there is no bad match there is no no bad match with him and he can wrestle literally any style I've determined any versatile any style he has got to be the most versatile person on the roster now he's cut from that Bret hartery yeah we were saying you were saying that earlier and I'm going to agree with you on Mike even though off mic I like was sticking my finger in my mouth but no I I agree with that because Roman Reigns greatness personified can only wrestle certain people to Greatness like you can't put him with a Danny Garcia and be like Oh Roman's going to create a five-star match he doesn't I don't know if he has that does Roman have really uh does he have how many five-star matches in his catalog are I personally think that you could think off off the top top my head Cody and him at uh WrestleMania 41 I um or is it Wrestlemania 40 I'm sorry Wrestlemania 40 is he 40 or 40 no it's 40 40 let me 40 I I thought I thought you meant the win the year before in LA I meant this one at 40 I mean Logan Paul versus Roman I put up there five star oh no no no no are three count no there's according to you there's tons of Roman Reigns three three there's four counts for Roman Reigns there's a few four counts for Roman I'm saying like the classic Dave Meltzer five star God Jesus five star rating no I can't think of a lot no no no he's doesn't have it now what about mjf yeah mjf has how many can you re off uh oh easy um is Brian Danielson mjf uh I think it was Revolution is the um Iron Man match all-in versus Adam Cole was definitely a five-star match will Osprey and mjf on Dynamite was a fstar match and those are the ones that stick out immediately I think there's at least one more what about we all spray five stars oh mine is obviously him and mjf and dynamite yep uh him and swerve for me I consider it a festar match go ahead and then him and Brian Danielson at Dynasty so that's like your match of the year right now exactly exactly but with that being said look how easily you railed off those classic mjf and Osprey versus when we ask you for Roman Roman's more of a he I'm not going to dare say he's not versatile he is versatile but is he as he the most versatile person on the roster I'll give you this how about this Cody might be the most versati they they're granted that they're rated that high for two different reason well in in this case three three very distinct reasons like a classic Roman R match doesn't look like the classic mjf match you know there there's very there's different components that make them more well I'm not going to say more psychology cuz mjf is a very psychological wrestler his matches have a ton of psychology well if you if if you're if you're the heel of course they feel Psy I think Romans is more thematic than mjf Romans is more like going to a movie and watching an MCU movie like it it's just feels bigger it feels more gravitas to it it flows in a different way it's there's something about a Roman match right there's something about a Roman Reigns spectacle um MGF though they could be said the same it's a different type of spectacle but well then let me ask you this um I no no actually I want you to finish that thought okay because it sound it sounded like you was about to lean into where I was going anyway I just think mjf every time I think ah he's not going to make magic with this person it's I don't know if there'll be a good mix they're a [ __ ] great mix almost every time he's just I think him and Daniel Garcia for the record is going to be a banger yeah I think it's going to be unbelievable it just doesn't have what will Osprey and and mjf had behind it for didn't have patience we'll say not yet not yet maybe we'll see if they can make it rump will still skin it see Happ guess a followup question to that is um why didn't this match here and Allin do what their match on Dynamite did for you I think because Dynamite it wasn't expected when you got the 60-minute time limit it's a typical everyone knows Tony Khan loves to go to the 60-minute time limit draw and have a count out draw I mean and uh that way the title is not changing hands but they bucked the trend for the first first time ever and mjf won it with two seconds to spare first time ever they've done that with Tony KH but not only that that was essentially a free Iron Man match like you just weren't knowing you were getting it no one expected it to go an hour they said oh 60-minute time limit everyone's like oh 60 Minute time limit you know you think maybe 20 minutes 30 minutes maybe 40 at the most mhm when it got into that 50-minute category 50 thre minute category I was like oh this is such an incredible match but there's no way mjf's going to take the title off ospray going into all in there's no way that's going to happen and then it did and it was smart enough that they did it CU they had like six weeks to build with it they didn't it wasn't like two weeks into Allin or the week before Allin and they did it that would have made no sense which I could expect Tony to do but I'll be honest but like this looks kind of like a good little match actually Brit's looking good um but anyways we're multitasking yeah mjf and Osprey is definitely the match of the night unless oh the night's not over no unless Danielson and swerve prove us wrong which I'm hoping and on here for posterity to be recorded for everybody I want Brian Danielson to go out with his flowers and holding the aew championship up high just like I want DMD to take this belt right freaking now as she attempts to lock jaw she's about to do the lock jaw I don't know if she's gonna get it though there's been a lot of changes tonight so oh son of a [ __ ] but anyways to finish our thoughts I don't what did you think of mjf and Osprey was it underwhelming overachieving or just you know it was serviceable out of those three options I give it uh I'll give I'll I'll add um an adjective there and say it was greatly serviceable I don't believe it was better than you just threw another word adjective in front of one of my existing adjectives exactly exactly because it has to do with Justice yeah you know like serviceable is such a mediocre type word but this was beyond mediocre it it was Donald Trump serviceable it was greatly serviceable but okay that's fine uh no Sasha I mean uh Mercedes what are you doing you put on the glove you're not Michael Jackson You're going to eat this eat it eat it oh that's what I'm talking about damn this is exactly what I'm talking about what the hell was that was she tuning her up no no no sh no she she was she was putting the cigarette butt out oh vertebreaker okay anyways to close up our thoughts we will be back with Brian Danielson and swerve aftermath at some point maybe tomorrow but or even tonight depends on all how to what I it's what I expected I didn't expect them to top the classic they had at Dynamite I just think mjf is so professional he's so well done he knows how to get heat on his opponent and himself and knows what to do what's best for business and I honestly think he would be a great addition to the WWE roster someday I really do because he's just so professional and there's only so much Heights he can climb in aw as far as I'm concerned and we'll see though give him a decade the bidding war of 2034 the bidding war of 2034 is going to be great but yeah I don't have any final thoughts to you um again greatly serviceable looking forward to seeing how this Danny Garcia and mjf Feud carries on Ricochet also debut tonight so I'm looking forward to spray vers Ricochet oh God that's a wet train you know like the upside is incredible I will be watching Mondays Monday parti I'm sorry Wednesdays partially Fridays and occasionally on Saturday I will be watching Wednesdays trying to be more
