the the final preseason game it just it's simply yeah uh we're waiting for training camp to start training camp started and it's at the preseason games and all a sudden Boom the third preseason game is going to be here and gone before you know and we're staring right in the face of uh well still got two weeks to go but it's going to be here before you know but EXC well I say exciting thing but you know obviously the big thing is after the game's over you got it like Tuesday afternoon they got to cut down from 9 down to 50 you're going to have like over a thousand guys in the NFL looking for jobs so Giants are number six on the pecking order so that's gonna that's gonna really bold uh bold well for them I mean you know I mean you know if we need somebody in the secondary John's got I mean you know between like panck and McLoud um you know you know we've done um let's see here there's PAC Cloud let's see I'm trying I know there was somebody else that we picked up uh uh a couple years ago so I mean the Giants have done well I mean as far as like you know in in in the secondary obviously last year they were pretty far down on the P know you're 97 and one it is what it is you know um picking up free agents or you know I mean you know you on a pecking order you know you're far down when you're 971 you go to the playoffs uh same thing you know obviously in the draft right you know you got a good good good record you know you get you get a worst draft pick but right U one nice thing about having a crappy record like the Giants did is we're number obviously drafted number six but they're number six in the pecko so you know you know we ain't telling the Giants Shane or anybody like that nothing you know hey you might want to look at the secondary I mean you know they know what they're doing I mean they got guys you know looking that every team who has um you know maybe I'm going to D Dan dear dorf your butts a plethora of uh you know uh uh cornerbacks shall we say right or guys in the secondary you know who might who might be coming available you know the so and so has a ton you know or so and so you know you has a bunch of guys in the secondary might become available they're doing their due diligence you know so if somebody comes available thinks might help the team out you know I'm sure they'll go after him let's not also forget they did free up a little bit of money not a ton you know I mean there's only you know only like a little over $3 million to help the cap it's not like you know they they they they uh re refigured Andrew Thomas's contract so now all a sudden boom you know they got an extra $30 million you know it was only it's only $3 million so if they go after somebody they do they do they don't they don't but they did at least help themselves you know to you know like the operating cost throughout the season you know they got enough money now where they should if they don't make any big moves or anything like that they should be able to uh make it throughout the season without question and the nice thing it's not like you know use it or lose it no you know if they have at the end of the season say $10 million left over that just s over into the next season so right so you know it's not like use it or lose it so um you know we'll have to wait and see we'll have to wait and see but the one thing is I mean it's also it's just training camp we you know we got a new defensive coordinator a new system a lot of young guys in the secondary I mean you know I mean I I mean you look at Phillips Dar Holmes you know but I mean flat Banks lot of young guys you know uh the secondary pinck belon nuben I mean a lot of young guys so you're gonna have some Growing Pains now you gotta you know if you're gonna make boo boos screw things up what doing preseason I mean but if if you got some Growing Pains good chances that things are you know gonna go bad during a regular season too I mean you might have some you know some Gro pains but you also have to realize too is it growing bains is it these guys just stink or is it a combination of both we'll have to wait and see the one thing is is that you know with Bowen's you know new defense system instead of like a the wink you know I mean a lot of is more based on like you know keeping stuff in front of you right other than like you know the wink system where he sends you know everything but the kitchen sink or maybe everything and the kitchen sink and these guys got to cover one on-one and you know we're going up against some good wide receivers this season and you know um you you know I mean you might have to might have to you know take some some bad with the good right but I mean a lot of it is more zoned so you're kind of hoping that maybe some of it is just you know just missed assignments you know and hopefully they clean stuff like that up right but I said I think just with a lot of the young guys you're gonna have you know you have some problems now obviously we got got a sort this article here a lot of Articles here today A whole bunch of them let's see you gota you gotta bear with me here uh let's see here bam all right so we got some things here to look at what do we want to look at 10 things to watch in the preseason finale versus the Jets this is who we got giants.com all right alltime season series the Giants face the Jets in 51 consecutive Summers from 69 to 2019 before the NFL canceled the 2020 preseason due to the pandemic Jets have won the three games since the series resumed in 2021 a lead the series 2825 to one the one tie was in 1972 from 1984 to 2020 the Giants and jets were the only NFL teams to share a stadium oh interesting Dexter don't let them in our house one of the reasons D said defensive coordinator Shane bow was brought in this off season was the success as Titans defense had in the Red Zone Tennessee allowed a touchdown on just 37.7% of opponent's trips inside the 20 yard line last season which is freaking phenomenal and also let's not forget that you know that's supposedly the very good run defense that he brings with his his defense as well too uh 37.7% uh which ranks which was the number one mark in the NFL and it wasn't just this past season that the Titans performed well with their backs against the wall as a unit also finished with the number seven red zone defense in 2021 and number 15 in 2022 and you know I mean let's face it I you know especially up front I believe the Giants would probably you know have the better um you know up front you know maybe the the seven right or six however you want to look at it two inside linebackers four line you I mean however you I definitely think that the Giants have the better the better uh guys than what the the Titans did so uh last weekend we saw the first glimpse of this new red zone defense with the projected starters on the field on their first drive of the game the Texans had a first and goal from the giant seven yard line Bowen defense stood strong shutting Houston down on four straight plays to force a turnover on Downs on the fourth down play Brian Burns got a around a linan to pressure CJ strad as sexy dexi proceeded to bat the ball down at the line of scrimmage according to the two-time Pro Bowl defensive linean and this is what the Giants defense wants to Pride itself on this season we say don't let them in our house sexy dexy said on Thursday we want to protect the house at all costs and and even that long drive guys still fought to the end and we ended up getting the turnover on downs and that's the maturity that you want to see in your defense now you know obviously also to be fair you know and everything um you know in a reg game no well I can't I can't say for sure but I mean quite possibly in a regular season game they might have tried to go for the three take the points you know you can't say for sure but there's probably a better chance of taking the three in the regular season the Texans meeting on on that drive instead of going for a fourth down I mean yeah I mean unless you got some type of field goal battle going on what what is the I what is a kicking a 20 yard field goal yeah I mean so what you got three points you know this is a perfect situation to to run a you know a different type of situation fourth down and goal I forgot what exactly what they the three the two I forgot exactly what L yard line they were on so forgive me but that's a perfect chance just to learn like can you know try something out in the preseason I mean so what okay I they bed the you know we didn't get any points all right okay you know if you lose the game uh okay what we do we the pr doesn't count right you know what they learned from that fourth down play is far more important than the outcome of the game so you know I said quite possibly during the regular season maybe they take to try to take the three points but I mean truth I inan preseason I get the look at the field goal unit let's see let's see if a guy can kick a 20 yards field goal you got a guy on your team that can't kick a 20 yard field goal he shouldn't be on the team right so uh good old Tracy I I feel really good obviously a scary moment you got a guy he comes down he gets carded off they put an aircast on and everything it's like oh my God this guy's crew is over I forget him all right well let's get another guy in here right no I mean my goodness they put a cast on them CED them off this that and the other thing I think like two hours later he's like walking back in through the front door I think he said he didn't want to miss meetings what a trooper what a freaking Trooper uh the team's medical staff put an aircast on Tracy carded him off and immediately brought him to the hospital for special surgery for more comprehensive evaluation despite the scary scene the rookie back escaped from the incident with very limited Damage Done to his ankle thank you thank you I'm really anxious to see yeah it's not like obviously I'm more anxious to see Malik neighbors out there but you know you like to see what what what Tracy can do right absolutely in fact Tracy was back on the practice field participating individual drills drills just a two few days after the injury he said was definitely a scary thing oh my goodness oh yeah I only had very little damage to my ankle I'm really just happy to be back out here on the football field like I said it was very very scary medical staff did a great job of making sure that I'm recovering so and they just they just did you know what was best at the time just to try to maybe protect him you know obviously there wasn't obviously as you can tell it wasn't a bone sticking out or something like that but you know they put an there just very safe and sorry right Tay Banks is improving cool that's good to hear now you know I mean said with them you we could all say I mean without question he's certainly you know looking for improvement right but I mean I'm not expecting Deion Sanders or something like that but you know can we get some good quality play out of him right if if he can take another step from what he did last season I'm all for it right and it said usually sometimes by the third season that's a good indication what you're going to get from the guy right so if he can take a little step forward this season maybe another little step forward next season right I'm fine with that as I said he doesn't have to well if he turns out to be a Deion Sanders sign me up for that but he doesn't have to be can going to be a serviceable um you know above average cornerback in the NFL right quarterback Tay Banks has a had a solid rookie rookie campaign finishing with two interceptions 11 passes defense to go with 64 tackles very very nice very nice and two tackles for loss he earned a passer rating against of 84.7 according to Pro Football Focus which ranks 24th at a 74 qualified quarterback so you know I mean I said if he gets a little bit better sign me up if he get to be 20th out of 74 okay and then maybe next season this third season a good is a good indication of possibly you know you know where he might go maybe he can get into the teens if he winds up being the 15th High ranked quarterback at a 74 qualified quarterback all right okay I'm fine with that is he a top 10 cornerback back no but is he you know is he top 15 sign me up for it okay in addition to allowing 57.6 completion rate 53 receptions on 92 targets pretty good similar to h d sees Banks Comfort increasing heading into year two as the young Corner continues to develop just yeah that's you know that's another I said can you Dev well are you getting better right he's still young he is he's still improving uh DAV Will said he works hard with defensive passing game coordinator and defensive back coach uh Jerome Henderson every day obviously as he's played in this new system now that's so now he's got to learn a new system he gets more comfortable but all our young guys whether it's first year second year third year continue to grow and that's all you ask for right Chapman's effort is visible every day undrafted rookie uh defensive lineman Elijah Chapman has made a strong cage for himself this summer Chapman is not your stereotypical defensive tackle is 23y old is listed at six feet tall but I think he's 5 foot 11 278 pounds but don't let this size fool you nicknam baby bison SMU Chapman has flashed at practice over the last few weeks and recorded a team high five total pressures in the preseason opener against Alliance now once again to be you know team high five pressures total pressures outstanding however you know was that against a second and third string offensive line you know so but the one nice thing is that you know you know it's it's once again it's preseason with with Chapman he got those pressures which is great bahah blah blah blah but it was against lesser opponent but you know also what you want to do to okay is when you going up against leser opponent what do you want you want to dominate right and he get five total pressures that's pretty good and same thing with right same thing right he's young he's 23 right he can only get better put the freaking dude with the Godfather right Patterson right and you know let's see what he can do let's see what he can do right I mean this his first year if he gets next year gets a little bit better third year gets a little bit better who knows right certainly certainly pulling for him the one thing is the problem would be if the Giants don't I mean they traded Phillips away um Ryder Anderson is is is no Moss right because of his injury but the thing is with Anderson with that hustle play down the sideline that's all over the place probably everybody in their grandmother has seen that all right so there's no hiding the guy you let the guy go guess what somebody's picking them up there's no let there's no yo-yo or whatever Boomerang I guess Boomerang would be better right there's no I'm going to let it go and it's G to come back we're going to take Chapman we're gonna throw him out right we're gonna cut him we're gonna throw him out he's gonna pass through waivers right and he's going to come back to us we'll throw him on the practice flag boom that's e enough that's not you're gonna throw you're gonna throw the boomerang and it's never coming back somebody's going to scoop him up so uh you know the the pro Paul dintino says if he does something like that runs a running back down chases running back down like 30 40 45 yards or whatever it was down the field you do that in a joint practice oh that's not being taped you're doing that in a preseason game everybody can see it and he did it in a preseason game so yeah I said you know you'll let the guy go he's not coming back so it's gonna be very very interesting I mean you got nacho and you got sex dexi very you know um Jordan Riley DJ Davidson Chapman you know who who's GNA be it's gonna be the the other two that they they wind up keeping as I said if you let if you let Chapman go he's gone right the undrafted rookie continued his strong play against the Texans when he chased down running back JJ teller 45 yards down field according to assistant general manager Brandon Brown Chapman's athleticism was one of the factors that sparked the team's interest in alignment yeah I mean I said you look at these numbers you know 31inch vertical four uh it says 4 foot eight 40 yard dash that means four 4.8 I don't know why they have 4 foot eight here 4.8 32 reps that's that's that's really good that's not a that's not a um what would you say a combine record or anything like that but you go over 30 reps that's very impressive and the other thing too is that he has long arms you got like three inch arms you know you don't got to go very far but he's apparently has very long arm he has almost 33 inch arms so for his height being 5'11 have 33 inch arms you know so for him to do the 32 reps on the bench is very impressive so uh 9 foot4 Ines on the broad jump right so yeah very very very you know uh interesting interesting specimen he is and I said certainly pull for him that'd be fantastic right a lot of confidence in the o line we're going to talk a little bit more about the o line a little bit uh let's see one of the biggest positives that come out of Saturday's game against the Texans was the performances of the offensive line Andrew Thomas Aaron stany Michael John Michael schmidtz Austin schlotman schan or SCH slutman uh Van van oh my God van rotten and Germaine lumor surrendered a total of zero pressures zero pressures against the Texans pass rush they will praise the veteran group for the performance and development this summer and maybe he might have something to do with the new offensive line coach huh once again we're going to do some more on that in a little bit attacking all areas of the field and last weekend game against the Texans Daniel Jones threw four passes that w at least 20 yards in the air according to proof Football Focus two of which he completed in his six games last year Jones completed the same number of 20 plus yard passes he only attempted 12 such passes all last season and the maximum number of attempts he had in one single game was four fact that Jones do four passes that deep down the field and just one half against the Texans goes to show that the Giants are not going to be afraid to take some deep shots this year but you also have to keep them upright you got to keep the pressure away from him can't have the guy stand in the pocket for half a second and decide to you know Wing a ball 60 yards down the field that's not enough time for the receiver you gotta get that you know you gotta get time the receiver to run down the field so you can you know so you can step up into the pocket and deliver a ball so yeah this is uh this is uh D brought this up less than 1% anytime you want to try to attack all areas of the field D told him meia I think there were 323 plays of 40 yards or more last year in all the games so that accounts for less than 1% of the entire season 0.9% exactly so we have to do a good job of threatening the vertical part of the field no question about it so Neil could return against the Jets liking to see that last week I a Neil returned the team drills for the first time in training game The third-year Tackle who was working his way back from last year's foot injury has been slowly ramped up as he inches closer to game action while he he is still unsure if Neil will play against the Jets on satly dble hopes the young tackle will be able to suit up yeah it'd be good the head coach said B Neil potentially taking the field in preseason finale we we'll see how he does at practice today we ramped him up a little bit more yesterday talk to the trainers we'll do what's best for the player and for us 6 fo7 340 pounds perform well dur team drills against the Jets on Wednesday which his head coach said was a valuable step in his recovery absolutely all right what we got some uh we got some roster updates here what we got giants made a series of roster moves early in the week they signed defensive tackle Kyler ball Trey Kaiser defensive back Clayton isbel corresponding moves the Ryder Anderson and wider wide receiver Dennis Houston were waved with injured while offensive tackle yaned man I'm GNA Miss not saying that name anymore was placed on injur reserved Ball assigned with the n and Saints after going on drafted in April he played in 10 snaps in the Saints first preseason game before he was waved last week uh six with2 305 pound defensive lineman began his collegiate career at Houston Baptist yeah I mean I said like you know um you know B I mean you know I mean yeah just really I mean Kaiser B and isbel I mean you know don't don't you know don't get overly excited about any of the you know it is what it is you know guys will let go or whatever we we got to bring in bodies you know it is what it is don't don't expect these guys to make the 53 uh where they maybe make the practice squad who knows but don't expect any of the guys that they just brought in to make the 53 all right well let's see um what we got here H let's see I'm going to talk want to talk about this here good old they always ask him all the time you know you know ask him all the time you know about about the starters right and of course you know good old good old D non committ noncommitted right non committal on playing the starters Jets Jets won't um the the [Music] Jets won't uh play their starters sorry I was watching a um a video on Brian Bosworth look pretty cool all right Jets won't play their starters uh Brian D would not commit one way or the other on the question whether quarterback Daniel Jones and other starters in Saturday's preseason finale against the Jets Robert Salis has indicated at starters for his team will not play jets clearly had the advantage in the joint practice conducted by the two teams on Wednesday giant starters played roughly a half in the second preseason game against the Texas Jones went you know obviously 11 out of 18 for 138 yards with two interceptions [Music] [Music] I'm hearing um oh maybe I don't know St I got these voices in my ear I keep hearing stuff here there's a obviously unfortunately ads are being played and it's it's hard to figure out where they're coming from but this is not can I figure this up nope it's not doing that so uh Jets had uh Evan Neil still ramping up after the offseason ankles might see action against the Jets so we'll have to wait and see but of course he's not committ D I mean you know he never is you know uh they always ask him you know talk about um you know ask him ask him question ask him to like play call he's probably going to call the plays he said on Saturday uh he's leaning toward I think he said during the regular season but he wouldn't he wouldn't say 100 uh 100% for sure that he was gonna be calling the play so but uh let's see oh we got this here yeah I swear this this is this is good a u gold medalist right gold medalist ask in the Giants for just for anything for a one day NFL contract with the Giants Benjamin Ray Ray Ray I guess it is Benjamin asked Giants for a one-day NFL contract after Olympic gold medal win so you know the guy he's track and field you know he's got to be fast three time Olympic gold medalist I guess Ray maybe I'm thinking Benjamin is interested in signing a one-day contract with the Giants Benjamin who won two of his three gold medals for the United States during track and field competition at the Paris games discussed his desire to join his hometown team for a day during a Friday appearance on ESPN absolutely that bring it bring the guy in if he wants to sign a one-day contract to make I mean he's a three-time gold medalist heck yeah bring him in man give give the guy contract let's see how fast he can run right I just want to sign a contract for one day Benjamin joke that's it one day I don't need anything else I would sign a one- day contract I'll play on offense come on that's like easy listen if you guys need me let me know I'm telling you right now just let me know I've got some cleats in my closet at home right now so but he said it yeah I heard him say that uh speaking of the Giants what are you thinking about in this upcoming season any here we go here we go y right the 27y old is some previous football experience playing wide receiver and safety during his high school days at Mount Vernon New York Benjamin won the 400 met meter hurdles at the Paris Olympics finishing with a time of 46. 46 seconds to secure the second goal of his career good for him man good for him he didn't have to wait long for his third earning the honor after helping the United States win the four 4 by 400 meter relay on the very next day high school football experience isn't typically enough to make an NFL roster although Benjamin is interested in pursuing a one-day deal with his favorite team regardless you know hey hey man I bring him in right bring him in see what he's got I mean you know the guy's fast which fits right in alongside with the rest of re receivers right uh although it's it's it's not not you got to be able to you know helps the you know yeah be able to run the routes and hands and all that but one thing you do know he's got speed and I I hey it's a gold medal he wants to sign a one-day contract with the Giants bring them in right all right and next well of course no love for the Giants right no love for the no love for our Giants a down here especially when it or decline especially when it comes to how many games the Giants are G to wind up winning it's uh the experts aren't liking what the Giants are dishing out if you say just about everything went wrong for the Giants in 2023 playing three quarterbacks is never ideal starting 11 different offensive linemen made them unwatchable and plus the 85 sacks they gave up made them unwatchable looking too absolutely unbelievable and somehow they won six games right New York made critical additions in the off season aing Edge rusher Brian Burns and LSU receiver Malik neighbors both have the potential to change the fortunes of their respective units and Ascend to new heights in the Big Apple what they did right they what they did you know which is very important you you need to add Playmakers they haded a playmaker on offense they haded a playmaker on a Difference Maker they had a Difference Maker on offense they had a Difference Maker on defense right you can't ask for any more than that Unfortunately they lost a uh Difference Maker saquan right but you know he's he's you know he's he's leveled out and he's going to start on the decline okay so that that's who they lost right somebody who leveled out and you know he's not ascending anymore he's leveled out he's going to start declining right they who they traded him for you know they they that right so they they got rid of him or they let him go however you want to look at it right they didn't resign him but they got somebody who's you know who's ready to he was like a rocket ship ready to take off okay the Eagles pay 13 with the incentives anywhere from 14 to15 million right for somebody who's GNA you know who's who's on the way down okay and we we traded them with somebody a lot cheaper the leag neighbors who's getting ready to could possibly take off and then we we brought in another Edge rusher right so but the Giants are going to need more than a couple of standout performances to improve upon last year's six and 11 record in ESPN's exploration of the teams most likely to decline in 2024 the giants made the cut good news for those in love with the 2025 quarterback class but suboptimal for everybody else's job security get quarterback Daniel Jones back healthy should be a boost to last year's enic offense but Jones has won more than six games just once in Five Seasons not impressive there's a reason every mock draft has New York Landing a quarterback in round one Jones is back but should the Giants really expect a boost bill Cornwell asked he now has one season of even average Quarterback play over his five-year career he was outplayed by journeyman Tyrod Taylor last season if you leave as side scrambles uh his 27.9 quarterback rating ranked 45th a quarterback with at least 100 pass attempts in 2023 Giants quarterback Tommy deito is one of the five qualifying quarterbacks with a worst mark Barnwell also cites a fluky turnover differential as a reason for regression teams banking on unsustainable defensive play turnover luck and one score victories are more prone to Falling short in future Seasons but it's funny they they you know you know they they talk about B all this stuff and everything but they they they don't bring up the offensive line or the you know the new coach then all the injuries we had right says the standings told a different story but New York's turnover differential didn't make sense in 2023 don't count on the football Gods overlooking that flaw two years in a row I can Envision a scenario in which new New York improves bonell wrot Jones who was average to very good during the 2022 season stays healthy Evan Neils moves inside the guard luminor makes takes over tackle and a much malignant offensive line improves in two spots maybe neighbors is a second coming of aell belham Jr and a young defense rides an excellent front for to advocacy well put all that together in a division in which the top two teams took a step backwards and you can imagine a world in which the Giants put together in eight or nine win season New York has made additions to both sides of the ball Beyond its high profile stars to help raise the floor of the roster and inject young talent and athleticism it may take time to Jael but starting two day two rookies at safety Tyler Newan and Corner TR two day two rookies at safety Tyler nuben and Drew Phillips when're even talking safety just shows kind of shows you how much these guys know it may take time to jail but starting two day two rookies I mean Tyler nuban second round uh Drew Phillips third round okay I oh okay I got you two days rookies safety nuban and Corner Drew Phillips my bad should be a reason for optimism despite the short-term turbulence offensively it's clear that the front office is Keen on bolstering the trenches and keeping Jones upright now I said I mean you know the guys're they're young right and sometimes you expect some growing paints still it's easy to be pessimistic about a team with poor quarterback play a worst running game and a little proof of concept outside of the front seven the Giants are rebuilding this year was always going to be about building the best roster for the quart next quarterback and hoping Jones can Ascend in the process these struggles should be expected even if it dampens the excitement for the new season if everything goes right the Giants will be fine Barnell conclude I'm just skeptical we'll see most of those things occur as it stands they look like a team with too many replacement level players on the roster with a difficult to sustain formula for winning but built r a quarterback who hasn't often been healthy or good all right well he's got he's got a point there he's got a point there now this one um hopefully this guy decides to uh stay awake right in meetings how about that DeAndre Baker trying to make a comeback here Giant's first round bust how about this here h x Giants first round bus attempted attempting NFL return three years after last snap wow a former New York Giants first- round pick wasn't hasn't played in the NFL since 2021 isn't ready to give up on his dream according to NFL Network Tom pisero cornerback DeAndre Baker who last year played with the UFL ufl's DC Defenders is training for a potential return and has hired a new agency to represent him Peterson Sports fiser X posted showcase the 27y old baker an all UFL player in a highlight film on field of field and gym work Baker was selected 30th overall in 2019 out of Georgia after the Giants traded up with the Seahawks he became their third pick their third first round pick obviously behind Daniel Jones and sexy dexi Giants traded up for Baker in 2019 draft despite at least two teams telling ESPN last spring that there were red flags on the former Georgia allamerican well apparently Dave Gman didn't think so thanks Dave where to go he then had a rocky rookie year on on and off the field two players describ Baker as a handful last year and he was benched late in the season after then Coach Pat Shermer called him out on his effort in front of the entire team he made 15 starts in his rookie season with 61 tackles and eight pass defense which have amounted to his career highlights Baker was placed on a commissioner's exempt list in July 2020 and ultimately waved after he was charged with multiple felonies including armed robbery and aggravated assault during a May 2020 incident these charges were eventually dropped in November 2020 Baker joined the Kansas City Chiefs it's like every loser first round pick that we have seen to go to the Chiefs Baker right Tony gader Stony I mean right uh Baker joined the Chiefs in 2020 when he played two games later in the season before breaking his femur he resigned with the Chiefs again and to and totaled eight games the last of which came December 26 2021 before being released in 2022 so so hey you wish him nothing but the best but you know uh not the way youd say not the way I mean right best of luck to you Deandre but just stay awake at meetings right now I seen this one this is this is right down this is right down their alley I mean I can I can certainly see this although they do have I guess they they have they have a right but a bit of a right to um be upset you know you got um yeah Bruce Springstein going in there to play right 74 year old music legend 74 years old Philly fans boo Bruce Springstein as he sings about the Giants during a Philly concert Philly fans did what they do best when Bruce springston referenced the New York Giants during his concert at Citizen Bank Park they booed loudly shocking Bruce Springstein made his Triumph at return to Philly Wednesday night performing the first of two shows at Citizen Bank Park with the second schedule for Friday which will be tonight the boss and the East Street Band were supposed to perform in Philly more than a year ago but the shows were postponed due to Springsteen suffering from health problems excited fans flocked to see the 74 year old music legend 74 years old Jesus God it performed on Wednesday and posted plenty of clips from the concert on social media one of those clips was a slightly awkward but funny moment that was posted by NBC Sports Philadelphia's John Clark Bruce heard the booze tonight at CBP singing about the Giants Springstein a New York a New Jersey native performed the title track from his album Wrecking Ball the song includes lyrics referen the New York Giants at metal lands Arena where the Giants played from 1976 to 2010 now my homes here in these meal lands where mosquitoes grow big as airplanes here where the blood is spilled the arena is filled and Giants played their games Springsteen sang naturally Philly fans attending a concert did what they do best whenever they hear a rival team mention they booed loudly shocking that's G their scumbags Springsteen smile and asked Eagles as the boo quickly turned to Cheers he then laughed and continued performing but so his his final concert will be there tonight uh since it's 11:30 at night I'm sure it's over I'm sure it's over but then I seen this these last two guys here obviously one we're g to talk about is Evan Neil and he seems shockingly shocking not Evan Neil that PA shockingly right the Giants did not resign him right he goes signs with another team and unbelievably a Giant's offensive linan is let go and he goes to another team and does well shocking right well he's doing pretty well I mean hard to believe with the Broncos here there we go how about that Matt P another former New York Giants linan thriving elsewhere can't even be made up unbelievable this shows how much coaching makes that difference yep it just goes to show you how crappy absolutely absolute trash the New York Giants coaches have have been as far as offensive line coaches Absolut trash you got to just laugh at this point what is about New York Giants offensive lineman struggling in East Rutherford and then finding success with a new team is it coaching no disrespect to former offensive line coach Bobby Johnson who Fu blows now with the commanders but that appears to be the case this offseason swing tackle Matt parrot left the Gman to sign with the Denver Broncos P parrot had his fair share of struggles for the Giants but the potential is clearly there 6 fo7 315 pounds now he did have obviously some injury history he had some you struggles with injuries right but this summer per has been Turning Heads due to his strong play for Denver including a strong showing in the preseason week two win over the Packers that came after a great performance in the preseason opener to hard to believe look at this Mt per turning Elite the second he leaves the Giants 90.7 once again it's pre-season he's probably second Stringer going up against a second string or whatever but still 90.7 are youing kidding me Matt parot is well on his way to making the Denver Bros 53 man roster Peter has indeed been a beast this summer posting a PFF grade of 86.7 when he was with the Giants he was posting a 36.7 goes someplace else and he's 86 absolutely unbelievable he has been on the field from 57 snaps not allowing a single single Sack or pressure in 57 snaps from 2020 to 2023 parro Su up for the Giants appearing in 43 games due to various injuries across the line his number was called for seven starts whoops it was never a Stand Out by any means but something is obviously clicking for him in Denver could it actually be that he's simply improving now that he's no longer learning from Johnson it wouldn't be the first time as an interior lineman John Feliciano struggled with New York but then went on to ball out in 2023 with the 49ers with Johnson now with the commanders car basil is the new offensive line coach for the Giants and he's been making countless headlines over the past month too against the Lions and Texans in preseason action the offensive line showcased Big Time improvements absolutely shocking just goes to show you what coaching can do the hope is that Priscilla can save his career of Evan Neil Neil the former number seven overall pick has been working his way back from an ankle injury but his workload is set to start increasing brail and him should be tied at the hip leading up to week number one as for parrot he's now making a serious push to make the 53 man roster this wasn't an expectation for him when he first signed but he has flourished and no question turn Shawn Payton's head we're happy for him but come on we also would have much rather preferred him to look this way in a big blue jersey instead absolutely now the thing is is that you know you also figure too right is that if he doesn't if the way he's playing right yeah just just the numbers he's putting up we're going to go over the numbers in just a second but just the way he's playing right if he gets let go somebody's gonna pick him up he's get he's got you know it's hard to let somebody six foot seven right just yeah there's 30 30 something teams out there right 30 32 teams I mean obviously the the Broncos let him go right there's 31 other teams out there I'm sure somebody quite possibly going to pick them up so but let's look at his uh his numbers here right you compare compare his numbers here with the Broncos right I mean let's see here right it's 85.7 it pre season I get it right and he's he second you know he's you know the second offensive line whatever going up against second maybe third stringers I get it still 85.7 run blocking 90 pass blocking 74.6 look at this and once again just preseason I get it here he's he's on the first string going against first you know he's on the offensive line going against first stringers right but here 48 58 now let's let's see here so 2023 and 202 so 85.7 let's see let's go 2023 let's go go to 2023 pre-season 48 right 85 48 he's almost 40 points higher with the Broncos now here in 20 23 with the Giants playing in three games right the preseason this this is the preseason right here right 2023 NFL preseason for the Giants right 48.4 47 run blocking here run blocking 90 his run blocking grade is almost double in the preseason with Denver than it was preseason last year with the Giants then we got 2022 preseason with the Giants looks like okay oh maybe there my bad 2021 maybe they have some okay here we go 2021 he played against the Jets he played against New England 73 right then he had 48 his grade was a 58 look 85 preseason 85 with the Broncos preseason with the Giants 48 preseason with giants 58 absolutely incredible just because to show you what absolute trash of an offensive line coaches we've had guys can't can't coach anything can't coach absolutely nothing absolute garbage now just to go to show you right right does anybody remember this guy who's been out who who's been out I mean speaking of uh Aker being out for three seasons this guy has been out the same amount of years still Jake Burton anybody remember him he was with the Giants in 2021 DeAndre right I mean um that was around at DeAndre Baker time right um but 2021 right he was with the Giants now this in preseason okay so is the same thing with the Giants he played 2021 it was the only preseason he played for the only the Giants it was it okay last two seasons he hasn't played 2021 2022 is nothing he hasn't played in 2020 so he's been out of football for three seasons or out of the NFL for three seasons and he was once again he was with the Giants now did he did he have any regular season snaps with the Giants in 2021 yeah nope nothing so all he did snaps by possession nothing nope all he did with the Giants right he was in the preseason all right we go citizen we'll do blocking here we go right so okay so while he's with the Giants Jake Burton in in the preseason he had 49 snaps graded out of 56 his run his pass block was a 38 here with Detroit so far he's had 75 snaps in two games uh week one I guess against the Giants right our own guy that we had went up against the Giants uh 66.4 64.5 run block and 65.4 pass blocking he was in for 35 snaps at Right Guard Right Guard last week against the Chiefs gr a 65.9 his pass block was an 84.2 he gave up he's given up two hurries no sacks uh no hits just two hurries he's giving up two hurries so he's giving up two two pressures in two games now that doesn't mean he's going to make the team or nothing like that but he's been out of the NFL since 2021 it's been right 2022 absolutely nothing 23 absolutely not so he's come back he's with the Lions now in 2024 once's does he mean he's gonna make the team doesn't mean he's G to make the practice squad or nothing but let's I just look and see here right with with the Giants is pass block was a 38 in the preseason games with the Giants he hasn't played in the regular season at all but preseason here with the Lions is is is is is it's basically double as past blocking grade when he was with the John lions for the preseason in 2021 was a 38 it's doubled now that he's with the Lions 75 run blocking 60 60 with the Giants 62 so no difference there you overall 56 with the Giants but 67 with the lions with the pass block just absolutely incredible absolutely incredible because you know the the um the uh you know the Lions have you know a good offensive line good coaching right so you bring somebody like him he's been out of the NFL for three seasons you bring him in and look what the guy can do bring him you put him in there with the Giants right look look he didn't even make the team not saying he's gonna make the Lions either because I'm sure he's not on the starting he's not he's not a starter right so you know he might make the practice squad who knows but it just goes to show you when he was with the Giants in 2021 in pre-season his pass blocking grade was a 38 in the preseason of 2024 with the Lions his pass block rade is twice as good it's a 75 now once again you know I mean yeah yeah you Al say that you know he's going up against second stringers and stuff like that well that was by the same thing when he was with the Giants in 2021 in the preseason he wasn't on the I you know let me see let's go back here see he he was uh he didn't start right so he was not a starter he was not you see an S here means he's a starter he was not a starter all right so let's go to 2024 I'm sorry my bad 2021 yeah he wasn't a starter either right so when he yeah so he was a sub right so he was a sub Jake Burton he was a sub with the Lions he's a sub with the giant so he's not a second string against second string or third string or third string or whatever but just it's just absolutely amazing how we just can't good good quality offensive line coaching it's just absolute garbage absolute garbage I'm so happy Johnson's G I mean might be a nice guy and all but the guy the guy is absolute trash I can't possibly imagine what on Earth the Washington commanders saw him I mean it's like don't you see he gave up we gave up 85 sacks last season we couldn't pick up a stunt or a twist all season long what what is what do you I mean I mean okay I'm happy we have probably the worst offensive line coach in all football in our division still now he's not with the Giants anymore but now he's with the Washington commanders so I'm happy about that but my God unbel it just goes to show you the absolute trash that the New York Giants the coaches we've had as far as offensive line coaches just absolute garbage who can't coach and uh thankfully we have Karma Mill and you can see the I'm not saying we're gonna be a top 10 unit but we can be can we be a functionable unit absolutely especially if we can stay healthy absolutely absolutely and if you can be functionable you have a chance what happened last season with the injuries and the bad coaching that we have right you don't have a chance and somehow still with all of that we still won six games right so just goes to show you how how important coaching really really is but I just sort of I was just I uh I was looking I saw I saw I'm like Jake Burton he's back in the NFL I mean I just remember him that that was the first year I was doing um uh I believe my my videos here on YouTube channel I remember him slightly you know and he he was in preseason and he was gone and then I saw him again doing the pfff and I'm like guy's playing again as I said once again doesn't mean he's gonna make the the Lions team but just goes to show you right he's getting better grades right in the preseason with the Lions than when he was in 2021 with the with uh with the Giants bar AB I said same thing with parrot parrot leaves here goes to the Broncos he's putting up like you know fantastic numbers it's it's amaz like joh same thing John Feliciano now that John Feliciano two seasons ago was absolutely horrible with the Giants especially put them in there at Center but then the next year he goes and plays with the 49ers and he become he's like an elite blocker it's like why how is that it's like coaching yeah the other team's got coaches coaching good offensive line coaching and the Giants did that but thankfully thankfully with k Billo in the house it looks like we have I'm I'm almost almost as excited that we got Cara basillo and the Milik neighbors I mean because I mean you don't know what it means to have good offensive line play it's just it's like a breath of fresh air and something we haven't had for a long long time here all right guys well it's been 1 hour and two minutes whoever spent any time at all listen to me live thank you thank you thank you or if anybody's going to spend any time watching and replay this once again thank you so much from the bottom of my heart thank you thank you thank you as always you guys stay safe out there and go Giants oh yeah
