Blake Lively's family is shutting down the backlash Blake's brother-in-law is speaking out amid the continued drama swirling around her movie It Ends With Us Bart Johnson best known for playing coach Bolton in Disney's High School Musical is married to Blake's sister Robin the actor shared a birthday tribute celebrating Lively on Instagram and in the comments he received a negative comment about her the user wrote in part shame she's so set on promoting happiness in a domestic violence setting without any regard for any victims disappointing from Blake to which Johnson replied writing I'm really sorry you feel that way I'm sure you have a huge heart and want the best I can promise you the truth has not come out yet Blake worked harder on this film than anything I've seen her do my entire life because it meant so much to her the message is in the book and in the movie not in short clips interviews she is the reason the message this movie is getting out were mistakes made yes I make mistakes in life but they aren't under a microscope anyway I respect your views I got nothing but love for you Bart is just the latest loved one to stand up for Blake his wife Robin has reacted to the criticism her sister has been facing after a fan commented on her birthday tribute for Blake writing Blake is a lovely human being I hope she knows that the multitudes of people who love her is so much greater than the negative voices happy birthday Blake Robin replied thank you for this rumors started to swirl early a August when fans noticed Blake and her director and co-star Justin baldoni were not doing interviews together and she appeared to avoid talking about Justin directly while telling Access Hollywood how she had input in filming their intimate scenes speculation of a potential Rift got worse after fans noticed Justin wasn't included in any of the group photos during the New York City premiere of the movie but despite the gossip Justin praised Blake's creative input on the movie when sitting down with access I don't think people realize how involved she was in this movie um she's a producer on the film from the beginning to the end she was extremely involved and she really made the film better and there were many instances where I honestly just Tred to get out of the way and let her take the lead and especially as when when it like when it came to intimacy and all of that like she had a very clear vision and she was telling me what she thought would work and what she thought would be sexy and from the very beginning this had to have a female point of view this had to have a female gaze of course and I didn't ever want my biases as a man to um to to infiltrate or hurt the project in any way because the one thing that I don't know is what it's like to have the experience of a woman um there's nothing that I could ever do no matter how many women are in my life and and how many women I talk to I could never embody that so trusting the women around me and trusting Blake in that way to just guide me was like such a gift [Music]
