Lions Vs Chiefs Reaction And Review! Jake Bates SHOWS UUT And WINS It For The Lions!

Jake bat you're are kickers that's all I have to say is the Lions get to win 24-23 versus the Chiefs today and this is a major game for everybody there's a lot to talk about this video might be a little bit long let me pull up the stats here now this game was great for both sides of the ball for us I thought now we did have some players that struggled on both sides as well but for the most part I thought we did very good on each side of the ball so let's show the stats here uh Nate Nate sunel he actually didn't play terrible today I thought 14 for 27 196 one pick uh one touchdown he didn't play terrible he was not good by any means and he still you know was sudfeld but he was not nearly as bad as last week but he is still not making this team that's all I'll say henden hooker 12 for 15 150 zero touchdown zero picks but he did have a rushing touchdown extremely clean game he looked very good he can get out of the pocket when he needs to he is a very good quarterback or will be a very good quarterback I still don't know if he's our quarterback to right now I I'm definitely not signing a quarterback this week uh from did not even play today they want him to Lear The Playbook a little bit more obviously only been on the team for about a week so don't expect the Lions to had a quarterback this week so I would say the only way we had a quarterback is if henden hooker does not play good next week then we could potentially would add a veteran quarterback when roster Cuts happen but for right now hooker is our quarterback too now moving on to the Run game was not great but it was not terrible Zan ofan Knight Zan ofan Knight eight for eight for 36 4.5 perir Z of Knight I think has a chance to make this team I really really do think he has a chance to make this team didn't play great last week but he I he he looked pretty Speedy today and he looked like you could break some tackles I really like zonovan Knight I think bam Knight really has a chance to make this team uh C vaki 6 for 22 3.7 per carry Soni vaki the rushing stats might not be great but he had a heck of a game heck of a game he was unbelievable probably the I would say the best player in this game besides the man on the thumbnail Jake Bates uh Jake Funk eight for 13 1.6 did not have a good game uh he did make a couple nice catches but that's about it he's not making this team we all know that uh henard hooker 5 for 11 one touchdown pretty good again so not bad and that's it for the Run game Craig rones only had one carry for five yards and I'm telling you right now now I highly doubt this but if I was Brad Holmes there is a legitimate chance that Craig rones is not make this team I'm being 100% real it's you see only vaky 100% is making this team has been bowled out these first two weeks of preseason on special teams and offense and he also has the defense ability if we ever try him out on defense but Donovan bam Knight he has a legitimate chance to also make this team now we're not keeping five running backs on the 53 man that's just not possible fully expect the Lions to keep four 100% expect that now and I think it will be Craig Rollins as a four string running back but don't be surprised if some for some reason Z sonan bam Knight takes his spot now moving on to the receiving game Isaiah Williams you see him on the thumbnail as well absolutely Bal out him and cioni vaky are 100% so far the players who have bowled out in offense for us so far this preseason Sone vaki Bal out last week Bal out this week Isaiah Williams Bal out this week and last week Isaiah Williams today 6 for 71 and he had I think 58 yards receiving last week Z Williams making this team 100% now he was actually returning kicks today as well he he he he returned kicks in college and he actually was returning our punt returns this week over Maurice Alexander which was also very interesting to me Kayon Davis he played okay two for 64 one touchdown um he had like a 61 yard touchdown or something like that so there I I mean Davis could make this team I don't know he's probably a practice squad guy I don't know but he played all right C vaki here's where he bought out four receptions for 60 yards and I believe all those receptions and all those yards came on one drive it was ridiculous he absolutely bowled out this game don't care if his only average three. seven yards for K uh Maurice Alexander two for 40 wasn't terrible either he kind of was like Kaden Davis to me had a lot of yards but only had two grabs just probably practice s Guy Tom gy three for 31 man it's going to suck to see Kennedy go it's really going to suck he will not be on this team maybe maybe he gets a practice squad spot but I think he probably doesn't make this team and it's and it sucks it really really does uh Funk two two for 27 but here here's a big guy Darice Fountain two for 15 does Dar Fountain really make this team this is now two weeks in two weeks in preseason he has three receptions for actually I don't think he had a catch last week which means he has two receptions for 15 yards is Dar Fountain really making this team I still think he does just from what he he's done in training camp but he actually really really has to show something next week or I don't think he makes this team I I know a lot of people are going to call me crazy for that just because how good he did during training camp but it's training camp is not a real game and I've worn that over the years James Mitchell want to highlight this as well one for 13 James Mitchell I've always liked the guy always liked him in college you know how I feel about James Mitchell but there's a chance that this tight end three isn't even on the team I'm just saying there's a chance tight end three isn't even on the team and it does seem crazy I mean it really does see Shane Zer down there one for five there's a chance tight end three isn't on this team and and I would like obviously James Mitchell to be tight on three wouldn't be mad at it always had his back always liked him but Shane zri never really gotten behind I've never really thought he's been that good like everybody else has in the Lions fan base and but I think Parker has has a chance to take that tight end three spot been playing a lot of fullback for us he he hasn't really done anything in preseason in terms of the receiving game but he's been good blocking and been a good fullback so there but again there's a chance tight end three isn't even on this team people are overlooking that a lot again tight end three is that big of a deal for the lions from how Ben Johnson uses tight end past tight end three but I mean don't I I would not be shocked if a guy like Logan Thomas came back to Detroit he just got released by The Eagles a week ago so I could fully expect Logan Thomas potentially to come back to Detroit potentially I'm just saying just saying just putting that out there now offensive line obviously there's no stats for the offensive line um but the offensive line I think thought played for sure better today my guy Kingsley ukan he is 100% making this team he's now started at Center Force for these past two games has done very well and I've always had his back so I'm pumped that he's most likely going to make this team uh who is somebody else Dan Skipper got hurt during this game hopefully he's all right uh I expect him to be okay he seemed okay but he did not play for rest of the game after he got hurt so we'll see about that anybody else I thought Duke Clemens kind of struggled today at guard but Sor doll looked very good in the first half I thought not very good but he looked okay in the first half second half he was abysmal in my opinion so there's a chance again Soro doesn't make this team I thought jamarco Jones he came in for Skipper once he went down I thought jamarco Jones played pretty well especially for being on only on the team for a couple of days I thought he played very well so uh Giovanni Manu struggled as well today did play better this week than last week but still did not play great um but the offensive line I definitely thought played better King zukan did well uh Michael nce I thought did pretty good but I still think we need another offensive lineman I would not be surprised if big V came back to Detroit or if we not added another guy specifically a tackle I think we need that tackle a guy that I've always liked that's been a free agent now around this period for the past two years just tackle Billy Turner was on the Packers for a long time always was a solid Reserve tackle and was on the Jets last year also another solid Reserve tackle so I would not be mad if we brought in a guy like Billy Turner to be a backup tackle I think jarco Jones could potentially still steal that but he's probably just the jera Fetti or Bobby Hart of last year now moving on to the defensive side of the ball Abraham bu play however you say his name he had a solid game I thought made some nice tackles Mitchell AUD had some nice tackles as well didn't really get a lot of pressure I thought anybody else that stands out here uh K dorsy he had a very very very good game I thought in the coverage game he was the only corner or a guy in the secondary that I thought had a really nice game made lots of plays and lots of hard hits nean played all right once again kendle vildor had uh was off to a very good start and then struggled my opinion so he's still fighting for Russell spot Josh Pasco uh was out there quite a bit today one of the starters that was playing he had a sack which was nice had a sack strip fumble so that's great to see rodri Martin had another nice game didn't play as good this week as he did last week but he still had a nice game um he did jump off sides one time but besides that I thought he played a nice game Ami had a really really good game until he got burnt for a touchdown on the on a double move but again am Robertson should not play next week he is for sure that nickel corner and he's a very good run and that fact lawren Strickland did have a nice game as well I thought need made nice play CJ Mo yeah I don't think CJ Moore makes this team I'm going to be real I think there's a better chance that Warren stricken makes this team over CJ Moore I I think the the the fact that CJ Moore has not played in a year really took a hit on him he does not look the same he just doesn't and it's unfortunate because he was such a good special teamer but I don't think CJ Moore makes this team he has to really show something next week uh Isaac unu he also had another sack today now the sack that he did get it was on a broken play um not a broken play but I it was I forget the quarterback's name Chris Uka Dum or something like that he held on the ball for like seven seconds and uku finally got to him so I wouldn't really say that uku you know oh yeah he just dominated the offensive lineman and got a sack no he just got the sack on a broken play essentially Matthew Betts had a very good sack um he came off the line very quick he looked like Hutch coming off the line it was an ridiculous sack and it was actually a huge sack now they did get a field goal out of the sack but he had a very very nice sack and I think he does have a chance to make this team after he played it he was getting pressure besides that sack as well Sheil and Garnes actually didn't see him out there today guess he had the tackle though Steven Gilmore got burnt for a touchdown as well tried to intercept the ball when he's again like only 510 or when he's going against a 6 one receiver so don't really know what he was doing probably honestly doesn't make this team right now I mean he might I don't know I think a corner gets added this week or a guy in the secondary gets added this week for sure for sure for sure a Fatu malanu he was out there another starter that was out there today didn't actually play a great game to me today wasn't bad wasn't great just kind of in the middle for me uh Ty Summers a lot of people aren't talking about him but I thought he had a very nice game got a couple of pressures in there made some nice tackles uh I think Ty Summers has a chance to make this practice squad I don't know about 53 man but practice squad I could for sure see uh it didn't really see too much in the new corners apparently they both had a couple tackles though germ I thought had a couple nice tackles and nice plays but yeah that's about that is about it I think on defense James the problem Houston don't I I don't think he played today guess he had an injury but I I I don't know if James makes his team I really don't know if James the problem Houston makes his team we'll see next week I think if he plays well next week he makes his team if he doesn't play well he doesn't make the team so it's G to be a big game next week and I try not to get mad here but we need an edge rusher his ISAC gush potential yes has Matthew bone potential yes is James Houston solid if he gets not well I'm not actually going to bring him up because he been not very good at all these past two years but we don't have dep we don't have a reliable guy after Marcus Davenport so that means essentially we don't have a reliable Edge number three I'm just saying I'm just saying yanak G Brad Holmes please bring in kak to Detroit that's all I'm asking for I'll even take a ma at this point just anybody to bring some competition and some depth on the defensive end I'm done the now just please bring a defensive end in this to Detroit please I will eat my words if James Suson turn this around but I just don't think he will that's just my opinion uh now moving on to the final player that had a really nice game today and that's you see the man on the thumbnail obviously Jake Bates Jake freaking Bates man went four for four on the day with a long 55 the 55 yard field goal that he made looked like it would have been good from 70 it was absolutely drilled it's great to see for Jake Bates he actually won the game on a um game-winning kick it was ridiculous shout out to Jake Bates man he's been the kicker we've been looking for if he improves his accuracy just a little bit man he is going to be one of the best kickers for years to come he has one of the biggest legs in the NFL already no question he didn't miss an extra point uh but again he's our kicker right now andless be absolutely as terrible next week that's the only chance that we don't bring in a kicker but he had a very nice game and I do not think we bring in a kicker this week Jack Fox had his longest career punt of his career had a 71 yard punt in the air it was a ridiculous punt so shout out to Jack Fox he did four punts for 216 yards incredible day that's averaging 54 yards per punt great day by Jack Fox we already know what Jack Fox is one of the best punter in the league now I'm just going to go through this quickly real quick as well just to make this put this in question as well how good we played today uh we had 459 total yards 276 for the Chiefs 342 passing yards for us 202 for us or 200 202 for the Chiefs 117 rushing yards for us 74 for them 6.2 yards per play for us 4.9 for them we had 24 first downs 13 for Chiefs 7 for 16 on third down efficiency four for 14 uh none of us we the Chiefs or lions did not attempt a fourth down today 74 total plays for the Lions 56 for the Chiefs one sack allowed for us again the offensive line showed out three sacks allowed for the Chiefs four punts for us six punts for the Chiefs six penalties for 40 yards for us seven for 55 for the Chiefs uh we had even though we got 24 points and we had a lot of yards today today we did Force three turnovers or not force we allowed three turnovers so we need to work on that two fumbles and one was picked and time of possession 32 minutes to 28 minutes so again very good game by the Lions this is a huge game for everybody don't really expect any roster moves to happen this week from how we played today I could again still see a guy in the secondary like a bigger name potentially coming to Detroit this week um as we still need a safety or another Corner as I don't really know if we found that guy yet and my 53 man roster prediction I'm just going to say right now it has changed massively now I don't know probably won't be making one after this game roster Cuts usually happen immediately after the third game not immediately but like a couple hours after the third game so I'm going to make my 53 man roster and put it out there immediately essentially after the Steelers game ends so look forward to that but I'm just going to tell you right now 50% of my prediction from before is changed so I'll just put that
