what's good commanders fans the Washington commanders have signed Noah Brown So Adam Peters did cook with this one I've been kind of I've been disagreeing with Adam Peters for the most part are questioning some of the moves that he's made but him trading John Ridgeway definitely clear up the roster spot they were at 52 guys so that helped them bring in Noah Brown to fill in that last roster spot so they gave away John Ridgeway and a seventh to bring back a sixth and then sign Noah Brown so he had a couple moves he had a move lined up and then had a domino fall to make a move happen so that is textbook textbook general manager gming by Adam Peters so he's cooking it up I like this move a lot uh my wide receiver room is still not the sexiest wide receiver room in the NFL it's still like maybe top top 25 top 20 or something like that um deam Brown will probably moved back to the third guy instead of him being the second guy Noah Brown let's just focus on Noah Brown so remember Noah Brown he cooked William Jackson on that one play with Dallas when Cooper Rush was the quarterback I do remember that in the 2022 season that game he had three catches for 61 yards and a 45 yard catch the 45 yard catch is probably the one that I'm talking about that he had on William Jackson but he was a seventh round pick he was a seventh round pick I did not know that he was a seventh round pick and guess what last year he had had backto back games of a 100 yards backto back games of 100 yards and guess who those games were against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers that we play against week one he had 153 receiving yards that is perfect we have a guy that knows how to beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers secondary and he should be a nice help to Terry mcen and Jaden Daniels so and the bucaneers defense they give up a lot of passing yards they gave up a lot of passing yards last year they they were 28th and passing yards allow now Noah Brown he had six catches for 153 yards and one touchdown and he had he had a 75 yard catch as well now he did play with CJ stra who's a good quarterback but he was like the third third option was tank Dell uh Nico Collins they had a couple other guys so he was like the third option really on that on that team really third the third or fourth option but he played really well made the made the most out of his opportunities uh the Bengals who we play on Monday Night Football he had seven catches for 172 yards the the guy put up he bro almost put up 200 yards almost put up 200 yards on on the uh on the Bengals you know he already put one stack he almost put two stacks on the Bengals he didn't have any touchdowns but he had 34 yard catch in that game so seven catches for 172 yards then against Tennessee in overtime he had he had eight catches for 82 yards in a touchdown uh Carolina had three catches and 57 yards and then uh New Orleans had two catches and 37 yards in that game and then he kind of went ghost against the Jazz had zero catches and then zero catches against Denver one catch against Tennessee like I said just kind of dependent on I guess who who they really featured in that game like one game may have been like a tank Dell kind of game and then one game was a niik Collins game um and then they had Dalton Schulz on that roster as well where well where here is going to be Terry it's going to be it's gonna other than Terry it's going to be a um receiver committee you know Zack hers Ben s Eckler is a receiver out there br's gonna be catching catching passes out there too and uh diami and then uh zakus as well out there so I'm excited man I think this is a great pickup man he had look at his numbers he's gotten better each year year by year and this is he's on the upper trajectory how old is he he is 28 years old which is on kind of the older side but not bad he went to Ohio State too I didn't know that either he went to Ohio State so there's a connection there with Terry MCL a couple guys I'm not sure if he was there at the same time but um he has some familiarity with with with you know Terry there a little bit some a kind of connection and whatnot but his rookie year played in 10 games had seven starts and he had um 33 catches he had no I'm sorry his rookie year he had four catches for 33 yards he got better each year five catches for 54 yards in sophomore season and then his uh third season he went up to 154 his fourth season went up to 184 receiving yards and then his Fifth Season he went up to 555 receiving yards and then this last season he had 567 yards receiving so he's gone up every year every year he's improved in his yardage 60% catch percentage which is not bad either at all which is pretty solid so I I think this is a good move this is something that we really needed to do we needed to add Talent he had a 75 PFF receiving grade 222 yards after the catch we need Yak guys we need Yak guys we need more Yak guys 24 first downs last year and then two touchdowns I do remember he had that bad drop with Dallas but that was a couple years ago against the Jaguars where the game was in overtime and uh he dropped a wide open pass but in that game he had two touchdowns so um I'm I'm intrigued man I'm excited to see this guy I think he's somebody that can come in and help and definitely give us at least 500 yards we just needed a pulse other than Terry mclen we just needed a pulse and I like dami but I I just got to believe it to see it and I knowah brown can playing the outside too so I got to see if he's you know he he could he can play on the inside as well move him around a little bit let's see how tall Noah Brown is as well Noah Brown is about 6'2 225 lbs so we don't get a guy who is a big fella but you know I mean he's got a little bit of size on him for sure um let me see his his um if they got like his 40 yard dash and stuff like that I just I like seeing that stuff and uh his vertical leap and just to see the um athleticism there for Noah Brown before I wrap it up here and uh Noah Brown he they don't even have his measurables in here so I don't even think he did the combine but he had a 71 athletic athleticism score he did 19 bench press reps 4.33 20 yard shuttle 7.07 three cone drill as well um good Red Zone threat and then uh he was honorable mention all big 10 32 catches for 400 42 yards and seven touchdowns at Ohio State as well so um this is something we needed so they have not come out with the contract details just yet but this is a heck of a heck of a signing to make this now I would have loved for it to be Jan or Terry Jan and no Brown I would have felt a lot more comfortable with that group I know people you know it is what is Johan is gone so it is what it is but I I would have lik that Trio but I think this is a good du over with Terry and Noah Brown and then you know Zack Herz Ben s AER dami Brown if he breaks out so I think this is a good a good um a good start to build the receiving Corp and we'll see if this is like a one-year de or something like that and uh because my biggest concern knock on wood is if if Terry's not able to play then you know who else is going to be able to step up and I think Noah Brown is a guy that can do that where defense is going to be like hey okay this guy Noah Brown can hurt us you know we got to guard him it's not like we can just take Terry out of the game and everybody else is done so now if they try to double ter we got a guy that can take the top off of defense and hurt people downfield and with some yak and breaks tackles for sure so uh good signing guys you guys let me know what you guys think like I said I was questioning Adam Peters moves but I I get the John Ridgeway move definitely now for sure to clear up that room to bring in Noah Brown all right you guys hell commanders as always peace
