uh gaffa obviously first defeat of the Season here at Walken uh how do you digest that one oh yeah it was uh very very disappointing I thought for an hour we did very well in whatever the conditions obviously started very well but in the end we W didn't have that I don't think we it was just a step too far for us over the first five games with what we've had to deal with and weax real energy at the end even after five substitutions between 60 and 90 minutes we let real energy and uh and they uh they punished us because of that but yeah the the start was terrific really great start and then you know we were dealt a a cruel blow with the um with the sending off again just with the sending off your view on it and how was Jack feeling there M's quite frustrated Jack's a terrific lad and so he understands the um the consequences of the of the decision um I thought the I thought the second one wasn't a yellow the fourth fishal actually said to me he said I he could have managed it differently and I thought he could have managed it differently but he give him a he give him that decision to make by making that tackle in that moment in that part of the pitch so look we can't we can't go for a you know we've played five games now and we've we've had to deal with 10 men for two of them which is really tough physically over the toughest period of the uh of the August calendar maybe the toughest period of the season seon even you know the Christmas program isn't as demanding anymore as as this so it just a step too far um and uh it just gave us I thought we had a really good chance at 2-n with SAS Davis from a set play and that would have absolutely seen the game but um it wasn't to be it wasn't to be parksy coming off in Jed early as well as that difficult to to contend with yeah absolutely I think um big player for us really big player and a big character for us um that wasn't in the script um I thought waterfall was was probably at R more so than ever um over the the two days the two uh sorry the the two games in three days so I didn't want to risk him I want to make sure he's with us and now with Tom looking uh a bit delicate I think that you know that that might end up to be a really good decision but on today it was very very disappointing to be two n up and I mean cruising I mean we were so so comfortable I thought we actually played very very well for for that period and um we had to defend properly um to the to get to half time but we've continued three goals in 30 minutes to me that's unacceptable and it's totally against the um the foundations in which this team has to um execute um if we're going to be successful yeah it's just you know a word on the fans as well back to your bank called the players have put in some miles the fans have have put in some miles together this at the end as well I just respect just respect list and I I can understand we're two- n down we should you know we should do better we should at least get a point you know we should at least get a point but um we started so fabulously you know our best start by mile uh and but things happen things happen and we've had to we've had to deal with adversity already in this first month um and uh we get a chance don't we next week we get a chance to finish the month off right we started the month right we get a chance next week to really finish the month off right and we have to come out very much all guns blazing in that to uh to ensure that we retain that connection with our supporters but at the end for me irregardless of of their reception which was absolutely you know mindblowing really um it's just respect it's respect for what they've done and you know I've got to show respect to to the players whether they've made mistakes or individuals have have uh have affected the game we have to show respect for their work ethic their work I think is very high and um we have to make sure that we you know we come through this the good good thing is Greg's a little bit closer for next weekend Gary hopefully will be a little bit closer for next weekend and you know we may be able to add another one to maybe just readdress the balance of the team again cuz we're wee bit imbalanced at the minute yeah and you talk about about August there being you know lessons and and Benchmark how much have you learned from the last you know two or three performances yeah so much yeah so so much and and the dynamic of the team and how it needs to uh operate um and who can play with who who gives us the greatest effect in whichever you know State whether it be offensively or defensively and um you know I think it's really important that um that we make sure we learn over the course of the the campaign it's a long old a long old season full of ups and downs but if you'd have said to me in 15 minutes into the game we'd be down to 10 men and you know defending for our lives and we have to remember the players putting some incredible blocks and moments of defensive determination you know there was one second half we on a raisi and Bill both stopped a a shire goal after a little mistake um so there were those moments there were moments of real um heart and desire but just didn't really have them that energy level to to play with the 10 again um so quickly after um playing sad
