hello thank you very much for joining me today how you guys doing so what does it take to be a soldier in the British army my God look at that I found the perfect video yes buy a small and up incoming YouTube channel the BBC check them out link down below interesting question and I want to know the answer simple as that oh straight down the middle I don't really think I strike people as a typical Soldier the glasses 100% the GL you think of a soldier you never think of GL you've watched Saving Private Ryan you've never seen a guy with glasses in the Army those are like the intellectuals you know what I mean the intellectual the guys that are like uh at the computers you know doing doing the Drone stuff from back home in their in their bedroom those are the guys with the classes in the military and the ones with eye problems g g g today's test a simulated chemical attack as as I take my first breath I'm like [ __ ] this was a terrible idea oh my God okay they took the mask off in the chemical attack it's like all the air is turned into liquid and you're drowning on it I've never heard something so horrifying until right now not enjoy that no coo yeah how it going well you can't breath the tool yeah the thought of this could happen to me I could go somewhere that where this happens it's a bit scary honestly it's a bit it's a bit of a daunting idea that this is the gpmg automatic belt fed weapon what the hell is that wonder why it's got the yellow markings been [ __ ] talking about this since first 3 weeks since we touched the rifles I was like [ __ ] these shitty rifles I want the gun out the [ __ ] are you shooting need to [ __ ] tighten up get in the shoulder get it [ __ ] snug it must really be something else to join the British army um and shoot a gun like that I mean over here in America even you know you can't just buy that over here in America obviously at least not in fully automatic that was such an American thing to say I feel like you can't buy this thing in fully automat now semi-automatic yeah you can go down to Walmart and buy that but fully automatic that's something special um but in a country where there's High gun regulations joining the Army and them just being like all right now you're going to shoot this most be quite an experience need to [ __ ] tighten up get in the shoulder get it [ __ ] snug I don't think a gun is life as VI you so maybe not I'll go back to then s just [ __ ] it she [ __ ] terrible W talk about yours guys I'm sorry but I don't even know what they have said the last three or four sentences I was going to ignore it just play it off like yeah yeah yeah you know when you can't understand somebody but the accent sometimes it just gets to me think a gun is life as for you so what maybe not I go then s just [ __ ] all over the she [ __ ] terrible W talk about yours we can't even talk about yours private South has struggled to keep control of the heavy weapon failing to score anywhere near the 60% accuracy that is required corpal private South is summoned by Corporal White to discuss his progress on the course all right so we had a little meeting the other day it's been noted that you doing what needs to be done but you could I think you've got more in you yeah you've got more to offer all right this where the men will be separated from the boys all right try and do that a little bit more after a difficult first round South in lane two must get his nerves under control if he's going to make the cut lead two you passed everybody else is fighing again everybody else private South is the first recruit in his group to pass the test scoring a 61% hit rate yeah sou uh last week wasn't doing too well um but over the weekend coming into now he must have done something s of clicked in on the front line each section Commander must choose a point person to help lead the attack all right so you now going to be Point man grenadia all right I want you up there crawling positions take an enemy happy CID yeah okay good it's definitely a extra responsibility cuz if he's not all over his skills and drills could end up getting killed this guy's a badass you just tell um or potentially getting somebody else kill so there was a bit more pressure there but he knows what he's doing he knows what he's got to do so I have no doubt he can do it South as Point person prepares to lead the assault on enemy hidden behind a boulder north of their position it's a bit of an oh [ __ ] moment I assume the yellow markings after seeing it now on these rifles must mean it's for training it's a training rifle you're meant to be suppressing the enemy and I'm just like what the [ __ ] am I doing dude the amount of gear that that must weigh a ton position clear but you know you got to have that confidence in yourself that you know what you're doing position clear thank [ __ ] I didn't give up like thank God I kept going you sort of think why was I ever worried I had the potential and there's nothing to stop me the top performing recruits are chosen to receive an award from the battalion's commanding officer well done chosen man from within the the tune great effort well done congratulations is someone saying you're not [ __ ] that's what is you you've done the course and you've not been the worst s did a good job today come out with shell he's proved himself worthy today and yeah so I put forward to get the coin to do I feel like I finally become the person I wanted to be you know it's been tough at the end now though I don't know I don't have the words means a lot that's what I say it means a lot I can imagine after after struggling for a long time out there no family hard work hard training months on end even just something that symbolic little award and some praise probably means a lot but that said this video that was an interesting little story line you know what I mean that was a little glimpse into a into a certain aspect you know as far as shooting and and the pressure but I feel like this didn't do too much of diving into actually how difficult it is to be a soldier in the British army I enjoyed it interesting little story line I'm curious what the comments have to say this guy should be proud of himself he is a credit to the Army right about that pain doesn't make me weep Army salary does is that a chant or like a song was it take to be a British soldier a pulse in unwillingness to sign up the pulse is negotiable clearly never tried to join the prop the process is so bad if your feet are the wrong shape you can't get in haha it's always interesting to see like the you know the difference in respect in the comments and the dialogue among people you know you have this guy and then you have this respect to enman who fights for our country two very different type of comments that you see anyway that was fun that was interesting I'm going to need to see more that was that's my takea away from that video but thank you for
