I watched BEETLEJUICE BEETLEJUICE aka Beetlejuice 2 🪲 (Movie Review & Reaction)

hi everyone I just got out of Cinema from seeing Beetle Juice Beetlejuice or also known as Beetle Juice 2 and um I'm here to give my force on it you know so um just want to preface this I absolutely love the first movie so uh coming into this as a fan of the first film um I was expecting quite a lot um this movie took a while to not only be made but also just to get started into production I think this is um probably Tim Bon's passion project for a long long time and honestly that does really show in the final product um so yeah I'm just going to jump right into it um I think this movie is really really good is it as good as the first movie not necessarily but it does come really dang close and you can tell that there was a lot of love heart and creativity that went into every single frame of this movie and you know there there's so many things to Admire from not only the the acting but also the Practical effects um all the unique visuals there's so much um of that Tim bur and flare and and creepiness to it that just comes off and it's like very you just sort of get not overwhelmed by it but you get so engrossed in it that you just you you go along for the ride and it's honestly such an amazing time you know this movie is an incredible experience I highly recommend that anybody goes see it in the cinema I recommend you see the first movie first um you watch the first movie first because um there are certain things in this movie that um won't really have as much payoff if you don't see the first film um or you won't get as much enjoyment out of it but you'll still enjoy it I think even without seeing the first film but I do recommend you watch that one beforehand um I most likely won't dive into spoilers in this in this review so um just a heads up um if you want to talk about in the comments feel free I'll try them in the comments but I most likely won't talk about spoilers because I don't really want to ruin any experience for anyone who's just looking to get general for so um for me quick rundown uh great movie wonderful acting I think to go a bit more in depth uh Michael Keen has not you know missed a beat uh since the 30 plus years of the original movie coming out he slips right back into the role of beetle jutes so well and he you can tell he's having a blast playing that role um just you know interacting with his fellow castmates um interacting with the the Practical effects and all the weird around him um it's just yeah it's incredible it's a set design it's awesome um I love just how unhinged everything looks um it feels like the the first movie but just like brought to like updated slightly for you know modern cameras and stuff like that it doesn't feel different at all but that's a good thing because I wouldn't have wanted it to change significantly um so I'm glad that I kept it the same for the most part and just updated really for you know modern visuals um in terms of yeah I feel like everybody you know Michael K did great I think everyone in the cast did an awesome awesome job um you know whena writer coming back as Lydia she um really portrayed well as like this an older version of a of a character that really went through like a lot of trauma especially as a teenager um you know having experience like that I mean you know the first movie is played out for Laughs of course but um looking at it just like objectively it's a terrifying experience to have and I think she really does embody what it's like to carry that trauma and that um just how sort of mentally unstable she is right and I think that carries a lot in her relationships in the movie um especially with the character of Justin F playing um I think you know he's great at playing a character that um you just love date he's an absolute slime ball um and you know it's just it's great to see him just acted up and H it up on screen the same can go for Will and the fo he he was an absolute Tree in this movie um I think anytime willos in a movie it's great but here here um he plays a sort of um pretend cop uh he's he's enacted uh passed away from an accident from doing a stunt during a a you know playing like a procedural detective you know cop type of type of movie um and he's just he is just Hamming it up in the best way possible and it's just it's a delight to see on screen it's a delight to see everyone on screen but especially the uh the actors and actresses are allowed to really let loose and just go go wild in the movie I think it's you know really showcases their talents um if I have to give any cons about this movie um there's a couple things that I could mention um for one Monica beluchi as Dolores um I think the what we did get of her was good but we definitely could have done with more I felt like that her sort of story thre and plotline wasn't really expanded upon as much as I would have liked um you know we do get a nice backstory um and that's that's all pretty cool but in terms of how story is wrapped up and comes to its conclusion um I don't know it just felt a bit too quick um and I feel like it just could have been flashed out a bit more so that's one criticism another one is that um the ending of the movie um while it's great um you know I do feel like if you've seen the first movie you're kind of getting like a retread of that but just in like a different uh different aesthetic or different um cosmetic appearance on it um but it's very much repeating those same beats in that third Act the rest of the movie before that awesome it's taking its own stride doing its own thing completely um it's it's completely its own sequel to Beetle Juice It respects the original but does its own thing um but yeah that F that kind of felt a bit repetitious in that regard um otherwise really that's the only two things I have to complain about um I otherwise I don't think that this is a bad movie at all I think it's an awesome movie probably one of my favorite films to have come out this year and I'll probably give it a rewatch along with the original probably do like a back toback U marathon and um yeah maybe it'll give me a better comparison of two and I'll probably do like an update video of being like how it compares to the original um but otherwise that is my general review of Beetle Juice Beetle Juice also known as Beetle Juice 2 um let me know what you guys think below
