yesterday it was announced that the Olympic 400 met hurdles Champion Sydney mclock Leoni was given two wild cards to the Brussels Dam League final where she was supposed to take part in both 400 and 200 m in back-to-back days fans were over the moon to see ML and lron do this incredible double at the Belgium Capital but unfortunately now we learn that mclock LE Roni will not be allowed to compete in both events at the Brussels Diamond League now what went wrong there according to official Diamond league rules an athlete must compete in at least one Diamond League meeting during the season to officially qualify for a global Wild Card which was offered to mlock left Ronny first since the American athlete hasn't competed in any diamond League meets this season she doesn't actually meet the criteria for Global wild card so the rules are clear ml Leoni who hasn't competed in any diamond League meeting this year he is not eligible to compete at the Brussels Diamond League final there have a lot of people complaining about MCL Leon's Wild Card entry yesterday as they pointed out bending the rules was unfair to other athletes having a star athlete like MCL left Rony would have gained so much attention towards the brazel stam league as she was also going to be attempting a historic 200 and 400 m double Sydney has produced a 48 point 75 second for the 400 m this year and 2.07 second for the 200 and it's such a shame that we will not be able to watch her do this incredible double in the diman league final this year
