THERE IS NO RISK THAT IT CAN JUMP FROM HORSES TO PEOPLE OR FROM HORSES TO HORSES BUT IN RARE CASES WHERE PEOPLE ARE INFECTED BY MOSQUITOES WITH TRIPLE E IT CAN LEAD TO ON SET OF NAUSEA, HEADACHE, VOMITING. IN SOME RARE CASES ANNE-MARIE THE SYMPTOMS CAN PROGRESS TO A MUCH MORE SERIOUS ILLNESS WHICH INCLUDES COMA AND IN RARE CASES, PEOPLE WHO SUFFER WITH TRIPLE E CAN LIVE ON TO HAVE NEUROLOGICAL IMPAIRMENTS IN LIFE. THE PROTECTIONS ARE THE SAME FOR ANY MOSQUITO BORNE VIRUS. WEAR REPELLENT. ELIMINATE BODIES OF STANDING WATER. PEOPLE IN NEW YORK MAY HAVE SEEN TRUCKS COMING THROUGH AND SPRAYING. ONE IS CALLED ADULTICIDE, WHERE THEY SPRAY FOR ADULT MOSQUITOES IN THE EVENING. THEY DO THIS IN RESIDENTIAL AREAS AND PARKS.
