the next game against sabala obviously you know each other very well it's a very horrible situation to to to be dealing with uh just your thoughts about that game really I don't really know what to say I mean she's she's one of my best friends of course um I know what she's going through and uh especially honestly for me hasn't been easy too so um I really don't know what to say honestly um she's a strong woman so I think uh she will she will get the power from somewhere and uh and it's going to be I I hope it's going to be a battle a good match and and let's see a little while ago um Caroline was also commenting on Arena's situation and she said she saw her earlier on today and gave her space but also let her know that she was there for her have you actually had the opportunity to sit down with her and talk with her and and uh I mean I don't want to talk about it but of course I mean as I said before she's she's one of my best friends so uh yesterday I spoke with her a lot of time this morning the same so I know what she's going through I know the entire situation what is happening so that for that for me is a little bit shocking also to go through through that because at the end she's she's my best friend and um and I don't want her to to suffer you know so it's it's a it's a very tough situation and at the same point playing against her it's it's also uncomfortable so um yeah but I don't really want to talk talk about it because um I said I'm not going to talk about it uh she's my best friend and I promise that so um I'm going to stay uh like this thank you I'll just give us your initial thoughts on your match today yeah I mean I said the don't court but um it has been a a really tough one mentally special especially mentally because I really respect Simona um the last two battles the matches that wasn't even a battle honestly what I'm saying the last two matches against Simona were really tough um mentally so um today I know even that for me um she hasn't been playing since long time for me it was the same because she she's still Sima h so um yeah I'm really happy that I got the win and that I could uh uh fight until the end and U mentally I could get through that Paula congrats on the win you mentioned the last couple of matches with Simo tough losses for you so after you lose the first set here the way that you did what was the key to kind of being able to turn that around and not just mentally but also tactically did you make adjustments do you think um well I had the game plan but but um she's I think she's one of the opponents I never want to see and I want to play against because um she she likes to play against me and she knows what to do um so that's why I said it was really really mental um when I lost the first set um I was like I don't want to do this again I just try to stay aggressive uh to believe in that that you can do it and that I was keep saying that um internally and um and it worked I mean I was set uh to one almost break point down also so um I'm really happy that I I could get through that and uh especially I'm not in my best in confidence because I've been uh long time out and with the injury so um for me it's a it's a a very good one next question do any questions in English before moving to Spanish prob considering the time away sorry considering the time away that Simona has had um and you also going up and down with injuries Etc when the draw was done and you saw that was your first round what crossed your mind at that stage I didn't like it at all I mean I'm going to be honest uh even if Simona is 10 years um without beting is still Simona I mean she's she's a big player she's win so many titles um I respect her so much and I mean as today I was I was impressed I mean I think she's going to she's going to be back on the top very soon I mean this kind of players you can never um doubt about them because they've been a great Champions question back hi um great match um just discussing again your next match with uh sabalenka just talking about the matchup you know it's a close friend you've Maybe practice together do you think you know her game and will be able to go into that match a little with a little bit more information with how to play her yeah I mean we know each other very well um I know what she's going to do she knows what I'm going to do so I think that kind of matches is who is playing better in that moment and uh who goes for the shots in in the important moments and I think uh when you play against players that we know each other very well um it's going to be that I think the key points and how how we play in that moment you know or how we feel also um physically mentally and I think it's going to be that kind of match and um and I hopefully it goes my side question English Paula just with to this match and the next match how big of a test are these types of matches for you to just be able to focus on you uh cuz there's obviously a lot going on on the other side of than that but but what's the most difficult part of that for you it's not easy I mean coming today on a court and especially with not a lot of matches so my confidence is really it's not really high and playing Simona that she's coming back so a lot of expectations uh in that match so it's it's not easy also to focus on myself the next one is going to be the same so um it's not an easy challenge but um it's it's a mental one and what I what I said to myself is that if I get through these kind of things um it will give give me um more confidence and and something I
