Intro what's going on Bama Nation how are we feeling on a Monday it's yours truly Steph Smith of touchdown Alabama magazine just coming on here to offer you some thought some perspective on former Crimson Tide head coach Nick sain after 17 years of coaching the University of Alabama we're talking about six national championships nine Southeastern Conference titles the latest one coming in 2023 Nick Saban several top rank recruiting classes putting over 100 players in the NFL draft including 40 plus first round picks out of all the great things he's done in Tuscaloosa during his time as the head coach Sabin is moving on to something different he's channeling his energy he's Channel he's channeling his study he is going forth into the broadcast industry he's going forth into the analyst industry where ESPN is concerned he's joined up with the ESPN college football commentary team ESPN's CCH game day he's joined that staff he's NFL Draft also a part of the ESPN family in terms of this week he will be preparing himself to break down players going into the NFL draft which night one is up is this upcoming Thursday from Detroit Michigan now sa will have a chance to break down quite a few players in this draft the bulk of them he got a chance to coach at the University of Alabama when you discuss names such as Germaine Burton coola mckinstry JC leam terion Arnold Dallas Turner Chris brazwell the list goes on will will rker as well so this will be a very fun time for saing College Gameday on Thursday uh through SE or Thursday through through of this week of of course during the NFL draft but in the upcoming fall he'll be a part of ESPN's college game day getting the opportunity to break down games break down film provide analysis provide his unfiltered thoughts of what's happening in the college football landscape and this is going to be really cool right because we saw him be very meticulous during his time as a head coach he left no stone on turn he did everything by the bug he had a very disciplined system he went about things with discipline and being a part of a team so now though he has gone from the coaching ranks to now the broadcast ranks he still has the opportunity to be a part of a team and handle this part of this transition with the utmost discipline the utmost care the utmost preparation I think coach sa been he he Fe being underprepared so much that he wants to make sure he's either prepared enough or maybe even overprepared for this role in this opportunity he loves the game he loves ball he doesn't want to have an idea of not being around the game of not being around ball so I feel like he will Thrive I feel like he will succeed I feel like he will be exceptional in this role here at ESPN uh doing this from a broadcast perspective but bin Nation I want to get your thoughts here and drop those in the comment section drop those in the comment line here how do you feel that Nick Sabin will transition from coach to broadcaster from coach to analyst do you think he'll relish that role he'll dominate in that role he'll serve well in that role definitely want your comments there in the YouTube chat line but this is yours truly Steven Smith of touched on Alabama magazine just giving my perspective of Coach sa been hopping in to this ESPN role after serving Alabama the University of Alabama 17 years as a head coach
