Mother charged in 5-year-old’s drowning at resort in Myrtle Beach

but we start this morning with an arrest that we are learning more about after a drowning or a child that was pulled from a pool we talked to you guys about this yesterday a 5-year-old uh who drowned at a resort pool in Myrtle Beach is now charged in this case Myrtle Beach police arresting 35-year-old Elise W of Pineville on Monday she is the mother and charged her with unlawful neglect of a child surveillance video according to police showed that white was in a 1ot pool area with her 5-year-old daughter walked away away from the scene where police say she wouldn't have been able to see her daughter anymore Warren state that the little girl then went into a larger pool for approximately 9 minutes until she was eventually pulled out by a bystander the coroner's office says that the little girl was taken to Grand Strand Medical Center and then uh the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston where she unfortunately died the next day this was back in June uh White is was given a $10,000 personal recognizance Bond and was released from jail on Monday
