Giants vs. Mariners Game Highlights (8/24/24) | MLB Highlights

All games are important. And when you're talking the final 33 games of the season, the importance even grows larger. The Mariners have a chance for a series win today. Maybe the easiest way to bounce back from a tough loss is give the ball to a guy like Blake. So it's amazing. He grew up here watching the Mariners. It's only the second time in his long big league career that he's had a chance to pitch in his home town and he's pitched great when he comes home. There's that magic of being at home and the pitcher hunter that the Giants will face very good one. The right hander George Kirby, the strike throwing right hander 150 innings and two thirds. He's got 148 strikeouts but just 19 walks. Fitzgerald will lead having a good year hitting 300. He bunts and that might work a little check. B and no chance for the third baseman more to get him. Tyler Fitzgerald is aboard with a leadoff bunt single that will bring up first baseman Lamonte Wade Jr swing and a miss got him swing right over the top hitting just 231 off of his slider. So Elliott Ramos hit by a pitch and that's as good of a walk as you'll ever see that. He earned that walk. He battled him, made him throw, everything saw it all. And now they're going to put Kirby in some high stress right out the gate. So here comes Matt Chapman, the Giants have the bases loaded with one out. Rosa Rena charging diving, He made the catch and he hurt himself too. Yastrzemski scores and you hear all those Giants fans going nuts over it. 3 to 2 giants, Kirby and Snell, neither one long for this game. Both out Yaz with two down and nobody on. Yes. The Mariners will bring the tying run to the plate in the form of Julio. Julio slicing drive deep right center field is bounces on the track into the stands.
