Intro [Music] yeah what's up baby it is sleepers breakouts and busts week here on fantasy football today presented by bet MGM Adam AER and Dave Richard we're gonna have Jamie Eisenberg joining us uh momentarily I would say last night was a big night for our St Jude fundraiser by the way I want to thank a lot we raised a ton of money and we still have some spots left in the fft open I'll tell you about that in a minute uh Dave I always say that the difference between sleeper sleepers and breakouts is sleepers wi you weeks breakouts wi you leagues TM do you agree with that it needs to be on a shirt it does to be on a shirt yeah we we should make you that shirt size extra small and definitely I get the sense of that and and why that makes sense because a sleeper is someone that you'll draft and and hopefully you get off to a good start with them or they break out by week three hopefully before you cut them they show you something that encourages you to keep them on your team it could also though Adam be a player who you know is going to play every week he's just going late in drafts and he can outp outperform that ADP really really quickly there's gonna be a couple players that we can talk about that might be able to do that I like sleepers I always love trying to find these Diamonds in the Rough um the Jaylen Warren of the world especially players that the majority of fantasy folks haven't heard of I love the guys that come out of nowhere like if we had sat here last year and Bang the Drum for p UA everyone would have been like who is that even a real person we did me like had the best rookie year ever so that's what we're looking for that's a sleeper by the way Adam that can win you your league yeah I don't know if he's a sleeper anymore puka by the way we're also gonna talk uh jir Gibbs and his hamstring injury and Jamie is here uh so we'll get to our two favorite sleepers Jamie would you like to start with your two favorite Sleepers for 2024 yes sir uh one would be um I was going to say Rico D but he's now a breakout candidate so he doesn't qualify anymore um I'm GNA Jamey's Two Favorite Sleepers: Khalil Shakir, Ty Chandler go khil Shakir and Ty Chandler so I have a segment later called name that sleeper where I'm going to give you guys some clues about some of your sleepers and see if you can get them I'm going to go ahead and I'm going to delete Rico dle from name that sleeper but uh here's what I was going to say about Rico D I am entering my fourth season my longest run in my entire career is 21 yards I have never had more than 133 carries in a Seas in college and I might be the starting running back for the highest scoring offense in 2023 so it's funny I I like R dle too uh but it everything I put there was was pretty negative basically at least the the workload just how good do you think Rico Doo could be Jamie I'll tell you on the breakout show okay fair enough fair enough um well I guess that like right so is he is he more of a sleeper or a breakout do you have to be a certain level of productive productive productive enough do you think he can hit that breakout standard Rico D yes I mean I think first off as we're getting more drafts happening and more people are taking him um in an appropriate range you know as opposed to where he was going like you know started in like the 130s and you know now he's creeping into the 90s um it's it's hard to justify you know calling him a sleeper anymore so um I think when you when you everybody has different levels different definitions of these two terms sleepers and breakouts you know and and you know I I I took a glimpse at your notes for the first time ever and um saw you had uh some phrase for your sleepers the high-end sleepers or something like that oh yeah my high-end sleepers I just wanted to talk about a couple of higher end players we can get to second I'm just I'm just saying like people have different you know ways to Define these categories and it's it's it's obviously subjective I I just think for D at this point like he's going to end up in a Range where calling him a sleeper is not appropriate you for somebody that's going in you know probably end up going in like round eight or nine all right fair enough uh so khil Shakir and Tai Chandler are Sleepers for you and I think Sleepers for you as well Dave right he is um Shakir and Chandler uh Chandler wasn't Shakir was but I I mean Chandler still is very interesting despite the soo first preseason game it's more based on what he did last year and the fact that he came around late in the season and when he had a big-time workload for the Vikings he had some good games and so if he's going to play with the first team offense and it sounds like there's going to be some sort of split between him and Aaron Jones we know that Aaron Jones does have a hard time staying healthy as well Chandler's absolutely worth drafting with a late pick and just seeing what happens and hopefully you stay patient with him uh for for a long time we know that also Minnesota in the past has not been very friendly to running backs I don't know if they've got a choice this year guys I think that they they might have to lean on their run game a little bit more than they have previously yeah I know this is one of Jamie sleepers and Tai Chandler one thing I want to point out about Chandler Jamie is that if you're into the Handcuff game or the backup game first of all he's a guy who's gonna play a little bit he's not just a true handcuff but he's also going you know about two rounds later than Trey Benson and Blake corm and and he's going around later than Zack shanet so if you miss out on those guy and but what am I looking at right now by the way I'm looking at NFC average draft position just over the last week so that's 56 drafts that have been done um seems like Chandler has always been in this range there just going later than all these other handcuffs and he's one that that might have a bigger role than than pretty much all of them many of them right just from the start yeah you you can certainly debate him and and charbon you know if you're of the belief that Ken Walker is not going to take a step forward in this offense because of his role in the passing game and and I get that I I still think that Walker is going to have a big year and I like Chandler better than charet I like Chandler better than the rookies as well uh especially given the fact of how Trey Benson looked in his preseason debut not that that should be the end all Beall but I still think that um Chandler Situation's a little bit safer right now and maybe just as much upside because you're talking about two guys playing behind injury-prone running backs that are entering you know ages where you have to be a little bit concerned so for for Chandler you know we we saw last year he stepped up when Alexander Madison got hurt and then struggled or vice versa um you know because they kind of went hand inand and the cam makers experiment failed so I I think there's a trust in the coaching staff um we've heard different reports you know uh I think you referenced Dan Graziano's report yesterday about how Jones looks like he's going to be um I don't want to actually if I could talk about this for a second the report was they wanted to get him 15 to 18 touches which doesn't really sound that unrealistic if there's three to four catches right and then there's still plenty of carries for Chandler but also I I went back I just searched my my uh computer for Dan Graziano to see some of his reports from 202 three and he actually he actually had a couple of pretty good ones um oh he's great yeah so one of them was about Tony PO he was he was a little off on it was obviously what he was T what he was told that Cowboys Camp they were high on like Malik Davis and and um Duce vwn or is that am I getting the name right sorry oh those are their names yeah um and then there was one other that he kind of nailed so it you know uh but I still think like 15 18 what if it's 15 Touches for Joe it's still plenty for Chandler I would think right to be to something but all right anyway I'm rambling sorry no but you know that that that report and then there was the Yahoo report of you know essentially indicating that it could be a 50-50 split and so again I look at Jones's situation joining a new team after a year where he was injured last year and struggled with the hamstring problems early in this season we all remember how he finished the year with five straight games of 100 yards rushing or more I hope to see that running back obviously everybody's drafting him to be a potential starter and and some people have ranked still has a potential starter uh for me I'm going to pass on Jones and I'm just going to Target Ty Chandler with the hope that he's the best Vikings running back over the course of the Season doesn't have as much upside as Jones if he hits but certainly can be one of those guys that you plug and play if you go hero RB zero RB uh could end up being a potential starter for you I read a recap in the athletic about um from Joe Balia covers the bills about the usage of the wide receivers and you know he talked about how Keon Coleman was out there a lot but all the other players who don't who play the X slot X spot for them in in their offense for the bills were unavailable Chase Claypool Justin shorter Mt Holland now claypool's on I as of this morning um but it was kind of pouring a little bit of cold water on Keon Coleman snap snapshare uh with the but also another thing he pointed out was Khalil Shakir barely played which he took as a good sign you know almost like like a DeAndre Swift kind of thing like this guy's the guy and know what he can do right we don't need him on the field that much so Shakir being one of Jam's favorite sleepers Dave you like him as well I do but if we're going to say that about Shakir we should probably say that about Curtis Samuel they both played the same amount of snaps with Josh Allen four of eight whereas Keon Coleman it makes sense that he's out there for all eight of Josh Allen's snaps so he gets used to things but then what does that mean for Dalton concade he played Seven of eight snaps does that mean that conca's not ready so I I'm not sure how we take all that but it's fine they know what Shakir can do and what he is is a reliable route runner in the short to intermediate range and he's capable of picking up yards after the catch I wouldn't say that he's this you know freakish talent I just think that he's like a solid receiver who can line up in the slaughter rout wide probably won't have a lot of downfield routes I'd be surprised if he had a lot of big plays but could still get in the neighborhood of six to seven targets per game and a really good bench receiver who could become a number three receiver if things break right for him over the course of the Year all right get Dave's two favorite sleepers in a moment if you haven't signed up for bet MGM yet use the bonus code fantasy and you will get up to a $1,500 first bet offer on your a rankings riser in the preseason and then we've got to get into jir Gibbs it's obviously a huge storyline as he has a hamstring injury and then we got like 20 more sleepers to throw Ates so you know wake up we'll be right back on fft will you need your sports news anywhere we've got breaking news to bring you then get your sports anytime you want them big trade news overnight to discuss because we know you need Sports all the time a lot of movement in the rankings this week a legend adds to their legacy we're bringing you that breaking news right here on HQ CBS Sports HQ anywhere anytime all the time we're back on fantasy football you know what I really love guys I love the feature on your phone where you can tap the button and read the transcript of the voicemail that's being left for you you guys ever do that in real time yeah yeah yeah like my I just got a phone call from a number I didn't know I hit and it said they're leaving a message tap this button you can read it and my doctor's appointment is being rescheduled and I saw it happening as they were leaving the message you've never done that it's very very cool I've seen it but the only calls that I'm getting are from like my that I'm not answering anyway are from like my kids high school where they give like announcements I don't know how it is for you Jamie you answer every other call what you answer every other call from other people like from people who I know yes I'm gonna answer those calls from I never answer the calls Amy you don't answer like you just ghost me I never answer the phone what's the point of having a phone if you're never gonna answer it call people back or text and you know what's gonna happen if if I don't answer my wife's call Jamie I do you should uh you should try calling Tomas Schaefer one of my New Year's resolutions is to find a way to get Schaefer to answer my calls this guy every time I call he sends me to voice mail is oh I think I've called Thomas once and he answered so that's that's messed up all right talked to Thomas on the phone before too it happened no he calls me back but it's like I never get him on the first try Dave who are your two favorite Sleepers for Jamie it was khil Shakir and Ty Chandler let's start with chuba hubard in Carolina who's still going after round 10 in CBS ADP we don't know when Jonathan Brooks Dave's Two Favorite Sleepers: Chuba Hubbard, Will Levis is going to be back it doesn't sound like weeks one or two are realistic for him and so let's turn to the running back who averaged 12 and a half PPR points per game in his last 12 games of 2023 and that was when the Panthers offense was miserable I think they've taken steps on the offensive line obviously in play caller to be a better team this year not saying that they're going to start winning games because of chuba hubard but I think chuba is going to be given a better chance to see a regular workload early on in the season and this is a running back that you might be able to start as a low-end rb2 to begin the year and then what happens if Jonathan Brooks isn't ready by week three or week four or he comes back and he's not quite the same guy that we saw at Texas and maybe it takes till the second half of the year for Brooks to really get past the ACL rehab what if it never happens what if he suffers another injury along the way this is the contingency upside that we talk about with with everybody and some of those people it's kind of unrealistic this is one where it's sort of realistic because Brooks is a rookie the Panthers don't have to rush him back onto the field they want to take their time with him they've got a solid back already in chuba hubard and I'm not saying that chuba hub's going to go and win you your fantasy league but for round 10 he's absolutely worth taking just to see what you've got early on and heaven forbid if you draft jir Gibbs in two analyst drafts 14 team leagues and you're desperate for a running back to replace him chuba makes sense to at least get you by for the early part of the year if Gibbs is out for the early part of the year chuba one of my favorite sleepers in 2024 all right quick followup have you heard anything about what role my sanders might play I haven't heard anything about my Sanders and that just makes me feel better about chuba all right give me your second favorite sleeper I'm I'm encouraged by what I saw from the Titans scheme and I know that it's vanilla and they're not showing everything but what they did against the 49ers and that makes me feel better about taking a late round flyer on will Levis whether I need a second quarterback or not he's he's gonna throw the ball plenty we already know from last year that on throws of 15 or fewer air yards he had the few lowest he had the lowest off Target rate of any quarterback in the games that he started that was incredible it's the deeper throws that make me worried about Levis but I don't know how many of those he's going to have and I think this offense and really honestly I was encouraged by the offensive line there were a couple plays where things were a little wonky but for the most part I thought that offensive line was much better for Tennessee both running the ball and protecting Levis and then we also saw a glimpse for at the goal line one yard to Go Levis with the plunge that'll probably happen during the year I don't know if it's going to happen as many times as it happened to Jaylen Herz but can we pencil in three rushing touchdowns four rushing touchdowns on top of maybe 25 26 passing touchdowns for will Levis over the course of the season I I I think he's worth taking a flyer on if he doesn't pan out early on that's one that you can easily cut and replace with somebody off the waiver wire after the first two or three weeks all right I will remind everybody last year Anthony Richardson was QB 14 in ADP Jared gof was QB 17 Brock pie was QB 20 in ADP Jordan love was QB 24 in ADP um will Levis last year yeah he's going to throw the ball deep less this season it's all he did last year he led all qualified candidates in air yards per pass attempt and when you just look at his air I gave this stat I think on the QB preview he averaged 16 and a half air yards per pass attempt to wide receivers 16 and a half air yards per pass attempt on average in throws to wide receivers that is the highest since at least 2006 when True Media started tracking that stat so the offense is going to change to benefit will Levis um all right we have a couple things I want to promote real quick the fft open last night we opened up our slots 130 what was it 133 of them and right no 132 of them and come on math guy most of them are sold out I think we have about 20 left the Dave Jamie Heath Dan Thomas leagues they're all sold out um I think Chris towers and Frank stanel sold out their league so who do we have left we have three spots in the Brinson League we've got five spots in Thea League we got nine spots in John breach's league and we've got one left in Katie mox's League just so just so everyone knows John is the son of a former NFL kicker that's right NFL royalty NFL royalty here so there's still a way to get into the fft open it's $250 a spot um we made thousands of dollars last night for St Jude and when we sell out all of these it'll be 33k for St Jude that's amazing but we have about 20 spots left wow thank you it doesn't matter if you're in a league with me Dave Jamie Heath what just get in the fft open for a chance to win the entire thing win the tournament 144 people you can be the best one the last one standing and of course we're raising money for a great cause tonight we have a live stream at 8:00 pm Eastern youtube.com fantasyfootball today that is Tuesday night in case you're listen listening to this a different day Tuesday night 800m Eastern uh youtube.com/ fantasy foot today we're doing a a half PPR mock draft join us for that all right just because you know sleepers can be a lot of guys that maybe if you're in a 10 Team league they don't even get drafted I just want to give a couple of highend sleepers the definition for me is I think people are sleeping on them and I have Alvin cherra and T Higgins yeah there're a lot of Adam's High End Sleepers: Alvin Kamara, Tee Higgins concerning signs for Alvin chra he hasn't been a very good running back for three straight years just in terms of his rushing ability he loses goal line work to take Hill although he did have more carries inside the 5 yard line than tames Hill did last year but he does lose some doesn't score a ton of rushing touchdowns but he is the clear cut guy there he's gonna catch a ton of passes scheme change I'm hoping will be good for him sometimes that's bad for running back look at Damen Pierce last year same scheme right that they changed into was bad for him I hope it's good for chamra but like I don't I don't see the difference between him and Rashad white it's only age talking about inefficient running backs who catch a ton of passes and I don't see anybody taking cima's job so chimra in round four 40th overall on fantasy pros he was a top five top five running back per game last year tied with in full PPR there's a big drop off from Full PPR to non PPR so I think it's important that we just make that clear that he's not nearly as good if the catches don't count 16th per game last year in non PPR eighth per game in half PPR fourth per game in full PPR the other one is T Higgins he's a mid to late round five pick he's wide receiver 27 in fantasy pros PPR ADP I'm throwing out last year I look at 2021 he was a top 15 wide receiver per game in both non and full PPR I look at 2022 if you remove the three games that he left super early with injuries he basically put up the same stat line as he did in 2021 we saw he's an absolute beast when Jamar Chase is not there and right now fantastic right now yeah I don't get it round five it's I think it's my favorite value in drafts is is Higgins and I went you know it's funny you you asked me on um Sports Network last week uh my most rostered players and I went back through and I looked at like seven or eight of um my best ball draft so far and I think he's on all of them all right good I'm not alone then huh T Higgins the last like three drafts I've done I end up just stacking uh burrow and Higgins because easy not everyone in that range has has injury upside like Amari Cooper and T Higgins basically go back to back what injury is GNA is going to put Amari Cooper in the top 10 discussion I don't think it exists uh desan Watson getting hurt in the better quarterback Joe Flaco going back to Cleveland uh I I you know I I liken it to the conversation we had about you know Devonte Smith I think they're very similar you know it's it's um you know the the the lead guy the number one guy goes down and and when you have a 1A essentially it's it's hard to overlook what the upside can be there because they're going to be very good on their own but they could be amazing absolutely amazing if the other guy go goes down yeah and and in his case Chase is dealing with a hold in right yeah but he go but he goes like a round and a half after Devonte Smith so okay anyway let's move on Dave welcome back to the show we did not hear from you yesterday who is your biggest Riser does not have to be related to sleepers by the way biggest ranking Riser after preseason week one it's not a big move up the rankings but I'm more encouraged to draft javante Williams he's one of three running backs that are kind of in that range of round six and seven where you see the running back and you go H do I really want him on my team and the answer is still no you don't really really want him but he's gonna be serviceable javante is one of them Brian Robinson's one of them nii Harris is one of them and I would actually take them in the reverse order of how I just Nam Dave's Ranking Risers: Javonte Williams them but in the case of javante the first preseason game against Indie he passed the eyeball test and he was clearly the lead back for them came off the field when the backup started to come in for Denver and Shawn Payne said after the game he's done everything that they've asked him to do and he's had a very good camp so I think that the trajectory is good for Javonte Williams to probably see a little bit more work than he saw last year yes he will still share it'll be with Jal mlin but he will still be somebody who can catch the ball of the back field we love those running backs Ina Payton's offense I think he'll do that and he's best suited to work the goal line for Denver as well so Javonte Williams you don't have to be as reluctant to take him as one of your rb2s or probably better off as your rb3 we have a lot more sleepers to get to and we will do that shortly but we have to get to the big news here and jir Gibbs has a hamstring injury we'll also update you on Malik neighbors Maris Brown Deshawn Watson Jaylen pulk not injured but a report about him a good one uh Marshon Lloyd but let's talk about jir Gibbs I was did a draft last Lions RB Jahmyr Gibbs injured hamstring Monday night it was an untime draft and as I was on the clock I learned about the Jamir Gibbs injury which was nice gave me a little flexibility but he fell obviously you know he fell in the draft I took him 19th overall Jamie where would you take jir Gibbs if you were drafting today with a hamstring injury and it seems like he's having some recurring issues here with his legs second hamstring injury of the offseason um I have not adjusted my rankings yet for him because I wanted to see what Dan Campbell says today and get anything from the Lions beforehand hopefully get a timetable on this but if he's going to miss multiple weeks of practice then he'll he'll fall a few spots you know similar to what happened with puka um I still think round two is is the spot for him right now you know if you're drafting today just because of the the concern because he was a borderline first- round pick to begin with so I just haven't made the decision that if I'm going to drop him behind Barkley and Taylor uh I don't know if I'll drop them behind Kiren but that's will be the next running back to go uh but mid- round two I think is the is the farthest will go so 19 is is probably about the floor I have I've moved him behind Taylor and Barkley I'll move him right back up if Dan Campbell comes out today and says oh yeah no big deal he'll be back in practice next week and fingers crossed on that but my guess is that they're going to give him the same type of treatment that the 49ers are giving Christian mcaffrey which is bubble wrap for a couple of weeks back at practice for a week and then they'll take it from there hopefully it'll be good news from Detroit today and Jamir Gibbs could end up being someone that were buying on a dip 19th overall in the draft Adam that sounds like a dip worth buying for jir Gibbs as of now yeah he went after Travis etn but you know I think when it started it was just he had a leg injury so when I saw it was hamstring I was thinking okay it's not a knee it's not a season ending thing uh so I'll take a shot on him 14 team best ball league you got to be a little bit bold there Travis etn went ahead of him though so I think people got a little spooked um okay the fact you had two running backs like that going the first 19 yeah what do you mean that's surprising a bestas ball um it's a flex yeah you yeah the flex League 14 team best ball um yeah and I took Gibbs ahead of Marvin Harrison that was the other guy was considering so anyway with Gibbs now he missed two games last year his second hamstring injury of the off season what does this mean for David Montgomery are you guys gonna move him up you can't move one down and not move the other one up you know so if you're concerned about one you got you got to be excited about the other so you know I think he now creeps into the uh you know the late teens if if Gibb is gonna miss any time he was already like RB 21 for me um so you know 19 or so ahead of zamir white I've kind of gone back and forth with those guys a lot anyway um still behind ra Andre for me so right around couple spots not there yet I still have him behind zamir behind Conor and ahead of rre Stevenson I'm not a big rre guy but I do think he's worth a round five pick and I'm a little bit more emboldened to take him on the hope that I get something more than expected uh maybe the first couple weeks of the season if there's an easing of jir Gibbs back look it's really hard to like make concrete decisions on the lions running backs without knowing what's going on with the lions running backs so hopefully some direction from the Lions coaching staff will help us out all right also Detroit rookie cornerbacks Andis rraw and Teran Arnold left their practice yesterday with injuries so these are their first two first and second round draft picks I Injuries, News, and Notes believe you wonder if um Detroit after what happened from the receiver Netflix series is more transparent with Gibbs I didn't see it I don't know what you're referring well yeah St Brown played through a ton of injuries and they didn't say anything about well was it was one injury St Brown uh apparently said he tore his oblique off of his or something with his oblique something bad and he missed missed the game but they didn't say why oh interesting uh Malik neighbors is seemingly fine so I don't know if he's officially as of now he hadn't been ruled out for Saturday's preseason game but whether he plays or not I'm not expecting him to play but he's got a low ankle sprain think Malik neighbors we can breathe a sigh of relief it does suck that if Jones is gonna play and neighbors doesn't yeah it does um Mark people are gon are gonna judge every single step and snap of Daniel Jo he's been pretty horrible it seems in training camp uh Maris Brown does not need shoulder surgery and Andy Reid did not rule him out for week one Deshawn Watson is expected to play in preseason week three not this week but the next week Baltimore safety Kyle Hamilton arguably the best sa in the game he has a minor knee sprain uh Buffalo wide receiver Chase claypool's on IR as I mentioned Patriot supporter Phil Perry said that Jaylen pul has been the most consistent Patriots pass catcher it's a lot that's a lot of Phil Perry pulk Patriots pass catcher that is a lot of peas and pul is on Jamie sleepers list I believe so we'll talk about got a lot of good press this off season uh I guess I shouldn't really say offseason anymore Chargers running back Jarrett Patterson looks like the number three running back according to Daniel poer of the athletic JJ McCarthy has a seemingly minor injury for the Vikings Marshon Lloyd should be ready for week one Packers rookie running back according to Jordan Schulz then you got this Jets situation here they acquired Hassan reck months ago from the Eagles thought it seemed like they you know the contract situation seemed like everybody thought things would get worked out well it hasn't he's now requesting a trade the Jets are saying we are not trading you Hassan reck by the way one of the best pass rushers in the NFL I've been with the Eagles for the last few years he's being fine $50,000 a day and it's an ugly situation there um according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler teams have inquired about acquiring Patriots pass rusher Matthew judon who wants a new contract tough break for the Bengals rookie right tackle amarius Mims who's had a very good training camp he has a strained Peck he could miss week one and dolphins Edge rusher Jaylen Phillips is off the pup list okay that's going to be a good pass rush by the way what they've got in Miami I don't know if I agree because I don't know what to expect from Phillips and chub like well I chub's gonna be a while before he's back Phillips could be back by week one and when I went to training camp I saw him working out on the side chop Robinson was an absolute Beast the first day against Atlanta so even if chub's not back until November they've got a good combo with Philips who's clearly going to be back sooner than later and Robinson's been better than expected but Philip is coming off an Achilles injury so I know that he's back doesn't mean he's back you know and Jaylen Phils that might be fair to say but he'll be out there and I think he can still make some plays well he's a great player Jaimie has uh dropped off for a moment so I think I'm gonna have to hold off on Name That sleeper I could play against the audience you could play against the audience I guess we could see uh I'll wait for now you know what let's play against the audience okay audience on YouTube you ready for name that sleeper I am in my fifth NFL season I have been a top 15 running back in two of my first four Antonio Gibson seasons I am on a new team this season moving from the east in one conference to the east in the other conference I had a career high 48 catches in 2023 but a career low 65 C carries in 2023 it's not Barkley 65 carries did you say mhm oh we got a winner James Young says it's Antonio Gibson and he's right and my next clue by the way my fake relatives include an actor named Mel and a singer named Debbie but good job James you got it Antonio Gibson is one of Jim's sleepers I think he's saying that he has big potential if Rand Dre Stevenson gets hurt he's the backup there that's the only way uh do you draft Antonio Gibson no I do not I uh I'm worried about what kind of a role he could have with Stephenson healthy in an offense that's really not going to put up a lot of numbers to begin with I'm kind of I'm bearish on almost all Patriots players you know I I can make the late round case for Hunter Henry and Jaylen pulk is interesting but I don't want to start them and I don't know if they're anything better than just roster death for Fantasy purposes Gibson Gibson has flirted with fantasy manager for years of being something good and he's fumbled it away pun intend okay ready um one more round of named that sleeper the audience leads one- nothing I scored 18 or more PPR fantasy points in three of my first four games last season but I had more than six t this is a sleeper somebody who scored 18 plus PPR in three of four games last season three of his first four his first four well I of my first four but I had more than six Targets in only one of my last 12 games including the Romeo Doubs postseason I led my team in Red Zone and green zone Targets in 2023 for a while nobody really knew how to pronounce my last name oh wherefore art thou oh yeah I know Romeo dobs yes good job buddy Romeo do wherefore art thou for me to yeah to get there this is a good sleeper I like this call but this is yours too it's a mutual yeah um you know Matt laflor came out this week and said that he hates the term number one receiver uh he doesn't want to put that label on any of his guys and I don't blame him for it because he's got four really good receivers none of whom might be good enough to be like the de facto 10 Target per game type of guy but all of whom could be six targets perame game and it's it just enhances the value of Jordan love that much more and remember last year these receivers were in and out of the lineup and Jordan love made it work whether it was Wicks as his top Guy Reed dobs whatever but dobs is a good route Runner he's got good quickness in and out of his breaks that's something that I think will help and I think he could stay on the field which is an issue that we have with Christian Watson he's not their most talented receiver and I that I don't mean to slide him because he is really really good but Watson big play guy very high touchdown rate uh Reed the most versatile receiver that they have he can line up anywhere dobs can probably line up everywhere too I think he's good though and and to get him way later that's a discount that I think fantasy manager should be all over maybe one of the best late round wide receiver targets you could ask for in fans I don't know I just don't I just don't really see how without an injury he's going to be consistent you're ever going to know when to start him and he is like probably the least explosive of of all of them and here's the problem like I play Adam but Davis and so did mvs but when but when push comes to shove when Christian Watson was healthy last year Romeo dobs never cracked more than seven targets he he was he was like I said six or six or fewer Targets in one of in 11 of his last 12 games including the postseason this is a popular pick I'm going to push back on a little bit unless you can get him super late here's the problem right like I'm looking at NFC over the last week and Romeo dobs is going 111th overall if you get him 130th overall that's almost that's round 10 that's too early for me like look at the other guys here um Keon Coleman Brian Thomas Curtis Samuel khil Shakir jacobe Myers Tyler Lockett Josh Palmer I don't like all of those guys better than dos but probably plenty of them for sure yeah on CBS is ADP is 133.33 33 yeah okay uh let's see uh we you like that price better I'm assuming early absolutely that's what I think he should be by the way Jamie's internet cut out so we're waiting for him to come back that's what I think uh I don't think dob should be a round 10 pick I like don't you like Shakir and Palmer better than him definitely but I I do think that dobs is very close to that type of receiver okay a guy that you draft you see what happens and even if he doesn't break out early he can still you can still put him in your lineup during the bye or if you're really thin on other receivers and hope for 10 to like we talked about at the beginning 18 fantasy points he did that in three of four games last year all right Dave so listen here's what we're gonna do real quick yeah oh Jam's back uh we are going to read one drafton question give a quick answer and then we're g to get into more sleepers this is from Brett in a town east of Cincinnati I was just in Ohio east of Cincinnati let's go with Dua Kentucky he says Dear George Tom T hom Theo and [Music] Abe president yeah yeah is this uh Mount Rushmore I should definitely know who's on M Russ guess what Paduka is uh south west of Cincinnati real quick answer here how do you guys recommend handling waiver wire additions as Keepers last Quick Email! round ADP arbitrary mid- round cost not allowed to keep how do you handle waiver wire pickups as Keepers what's their price next year my answer is complicated so if you've got an easy one Jamie go for it uh I have one League where um a they are how do we do it last round last round last round but it depends like they can't be dropped oh interesting what do you mean they can't be dropped they can't they can't be if if they were drafted and dropped they are their draft value that yes that's where my idea my keeper value whatever starts I'm all if you drafted let's say you don't have this used to happen to us with no IR spots so if you drafted somebody who was injured and then they were dropped then somebody else picked them up because they were out of it at the end of the season and try to keep them for last round picks we changed that okay okay that works for me so do you want to hear my complicated one or should we just move on if you pick yeah just move on if you pick him up mid season they've been dropped they have their round value from the draft if you picked them up off waivers they like last year if you picked up puka wasn't drafted he's a last round pick if somebody Dro puka after drafting him in the eighth round he's an eighth round pick that's an easy way to do it yes let's take a break come back and talk more sleepers after this on fantasy football [Music] today ladies and gentlemen [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] oh yeah college football promo there pretty excited for week one Jamie who did the Gators open up with uh some second rate team hopefully they hold their own but yeah baby Miami versus us no we're not D Adam versus Jamie and schaer there's got to be some type of wager here all right that's that's our national championship it's our we have the toughest schedule in the world well good luck in your national championship game well bad luck okay Jamie sleepers listen we got a lot of names here so we're gonna go through them kind of quickly we talked about we never talked about these guys before so we should probably SP a long time well will Lis we talked about um J Justin field still a sleeper for you after that uh performance yes because if he get if he Jamey's QB/RB Sleepers: Justin Fields, Zach Charbonnet, Antonio Gibson gets the job at any point as we talked about there's top 10 upside absolutely do you have to draft him though I certainly in superflex and two quarterback leag he should be draft any beste ball leag he should be drafted in a 12 team uh five or six person bench probably not but if you draft I would say Allan momes Herz you know you don't need a second quarterback and you just want to take a flyer on a player who could be a Difference Maker that you might be able to trade then sure okay chuba hubard is on your sleepers list Dave talked about him Zack shbnet well Tai Chandler is on your sleepers list we just talked about Antonio Gibson so two two running backs remaining here that we haven't discussed I want to get your thoughts on Gibson and Zack shanet so what's your sleeper case for Antonio Gibson he's got two seasons on his resume with a th000 total yards and he's playing behind a guy that missed five games last year in Stevenson with an ankle injury so he's an injury away from most likely being the feature back and I I think the the thing that we tend to do which is totally understandable is when we talk about some of these backup running backs on crappy teams it's like why would we even care but sometimes volume does matter and he's so cheap on on most any site you look at based on ADP that he's going to have some sort of role we just don't know exactly what role um you you assume some level of work in the passing game and and clearly some touches but um I just think that if if rre goes down we're going to be using as at least a flex he'll be in the number two running back discussion and while the Patriots offense might be absolutely gross uh there's still some value there in a guy that's going to be a potential starter so one of your last round picks it's not a bad move to take Antonio Gibson as cheap as he is right now all right Zack shanet there's been a lot of positive Buzz about Ken Walker so how have you interpreted that and what it means for shanet I still think Shan is going to have a role but he's feeling more like a not necessarily a guy that you can play in tandem with Walker for your fantasy team to start the year but Walker's missed two games each of the last two seasons and so there is a little bit of an injury track record there and if they are going to run as many snaps as we hope they do which is different from what we've seen in the past that maybe Walker is just not gonna be on the field for all those plays and so hopefully shern takes advantage of the time that he gets out there but if if they want a pass catching running back clearly shanet fits the bill more so than Walker does so I'm excited for Walker to have more work in the pass game I mean look anything compared to what he's had the last two years is a bonus but if they you know obvious passing Downs two-minute drill that's shonet was doing for them last year would be very surprising if he's not doing a lot of that this year as well and so I still think that there's value for him in a deeper league as a flex probably somebody just want to keep on your bench to open the season but if Walker does Miss time and shanet takes off remember it's a new coaching staff so they're not as prone to be committed to the the incumbent as the previous coaching staff so if shanet takes off he could easily hold a job for the rest of the year so how do we decide what what to do with Trey Benson Blake Corum Tai Chandler Zack shanet like why would why would one be ranked higher than the other I guess you know who do you target I'm sure I I mean there a bunch of handcuffs right but like this whole group of of backup running backs how do you decipher how do you um H rank them for lack of a better term uh I think you have to decide and and you know kind of what I was talking about with shanet you have to decide who's going to play and who's going to be more in a reserve role so I think for Benson and Korum they're going to be more in reserve roles they'll obviously get some touches but I don't think it's anything you could look at and say these are guys that I could use at the start of my season by comparison to let's say what we're hearing out of Atlanta about Tyler aler he sounds like he's going to play so if you think you need more of a player right now that's probably the route that you go compared to the rookies Chandler's going to play I take him over those guys I shanet I think he's gonna play I would take him over the rookies as well so it's just a matter of I think what you think of each backfield and in the case of let's say korm excuse me Benson again James Conor has missed three plus games for the last five years Kiren Williams missed four games last year and maybe a one-year wonder you know so those two guys are a little bit of a different category you know by comparison to let's say a brillan Allen or Jaylen Wright or one of those guys like that you know so um I think it just you look at it you say okay will will this second running back play and that's how you should prioritize that player in that situation then you look at offense and start a go from there right I was going to mention that look at the offense and figure out which offenses are going to score a lot of points that's just another selling point for any of these guys so it's it's why I like Blake corm I don't expect Blake corm to get a ton of work as long as Kyon Williams is healthy I think I think Minnesota's offense will be different and it might be better than than previous iterations for the Run game and Jamie said it like Chandler's gonna play so you want guys that are gonna play a little bit at least you'll get to see what they're like and then you just wait for the opportunity in front of them to open up and and for them to be good maybe hopefully you could though take the approach that well I know Tyler aljer is going to play a little bit but it's never going to be in a way that actually helps my fantasy team correct so again like that's that's how you sort of have you know then that that's where it comes down to ranking those guys you know but at the same time if bejon misses any time Tyler Alger could be a top 10 running back right but but does he have more upside than Blake korm like he like aler is gonna score more fantasy points than Blake corm on a weekly basis we think probably but if both of the starting running backs in those situations get hurt who would you rather have I'd rather have corm I think I would too close that's that's that's an interesting way to look at it as well you weigh the two running backs against the two handcuff running backs against each other which one would you rather have yeah and guess what there's a decent chance you're gon to be dropping them to pick up hot players on the waiver wire in week two but it's worth dra it's worth trying those are the ones that could come back to you know haunt you AB of course I remember I'm sorry I remember uh David Johnson's rookie year he was like a hot waiver wire pickup he he went crazy down the stretch he was drafted and dropped happens a lot happens every year Justin Jefferson ver samaj for uh K Williams last year no one dropped no one drafted and dropped Kiren Williams no but we picked him up right but yeah like who people probably drafted and dropped uh not Jordan H whatever okay all right let's go to wide receiver Sleepers for Jamie khil Shakir we discussed Curtis Samuel Jamey's WR Sleepers: Curtis Samuel, Romeo Doubs, Dontayvion Wicks though and you talked about this the other day I was like it could be Curtis Samuel right he could be the guy who emerges you I mean you you talked about the report from Joe Balia you know that we could see a situation where you know the they're they're going to mix and match guys mix mix and match guys um quite a bit and I think the thing for Samuel is again no knowing his history with Joe Brady he's GNA get carries he's going to be a little bit of a gadget guy he's gonna see some time in the slot he's probably gonna see a few snaps on the outside as well and so there's going to be some games where he looks like the best receiver for the bills and so I I I said this on yesterday show and you're reading from my my latest sleepers column I take it you know so that what I did with these receivers was I basically looked at um Duos that you can get I think it was after pick 120 and at that point you can get both Bills receivers when I wrote it both Bills receivers not named Keon Coleman after pick 120 it's worth taking a shot on one and in some cases if your bench is deep enough take a shot on both because if if these two guys are the go-to guys for Buffalo and Josh Allen or at least two go-to guys in the sense of getting enough opportunities and targets uh there's 241 targets that are missing from a year ago with with Diggs and Davis gone so we can sit here and say Dalton can K this and Keon Coleman that and James Cook and everything like that it may just be Shakir and Samuel as the two best options and they may not be top 20 receivers I think you have to understand that but they might be in the top 36 and you know in a three receiver League by weeks injuries you know they they could step up I think Dave sort of alluded to this with which air you know so um I I don't think you should expect League winners unless something really wacky happens but the last time that she that Samuel was PA with Joe Brady was his best season in Carolina so there's a lot to like about the opportunity there for him to use him in the right way all right so then let's go on to the Green Bay wide receivers Davian Wicks and who Romeo dobs who we disc Dave and I discussed Romeo dobs we were talking about is Romeo dobs really worth a round 10 pick because that's where he's going currently in NFC ADP over the last week but he's more like uh around 11 or 12 pick on CBS ADP I believe so when would you start taking dos and wicks you got to take dos before Wicks at this point you know and and make sense um Matt laflor came out believe yesterday uh or might have been after their preseason game and he was uh a little rant ranting a little bit about stop asking me about who's our number one receiver we don't need to have a quote unquote number one receiver we have four guys who we believe can be number one receivers and that's what we've been saying a lot for our our our fantasy view on this is is the upside maybe a little bit more in favor of Christian Watson and Jaden Reed than Romeo dobs and and dantam Wicks probably um but we know dos is going to play the most most likely of the group and Wix as you saw has big play potential as you saw last year when Watson Miss time he was a very good fantasy option so there's going to be weeks where it's one guy that we we'll sit here and say start Christian Watson he's been great it's time to get him in your lineups across the board and then that's the Wicks game and then we'll say okay pick up Wix off waiver because his owner his roster percentage is 48% and it's time to buy in and then he puts it it's just going to be that type of receiving cor but again similar to Buffalo if you can get pieces of this offense you're tying yourself to a quarterback that really got hot down the stretch where there is no clear-cut number one target where there's opportunities for as you see here for dobs uh eight touchdowns last year he tied for the lead in receiving touchdowns with Jaden Reed he's gonna again be on the field he's got a nice floor of around 11 PPR points that's basically what he did last year almost every week uh when he scored a touchdown the problem is he was very touchdown dependent so uh I don't have a problem taking a flyer on him and the same thing with Wick you know it's just one of those things where if you're in your draft and you start to see how it's unfolding uh fourth receiver probably not the case fifth receiver absolutely I would love Davian Wick to be that guy if he's your fourth receiver I don't think there's as much upside there but you just want pieces of these type of offenses good quarterback good system potential to be great and similar to what we talked about with um you know T Higgins to a lesser degree Christian Watson's got an injury problem and Wix popped last year when Watson's hamstring popped so there there's a chance for that continue once again okay so if you want some pieces of the Green Bay and buffalo passing games let's talk about two other teams where you listed some some wide receivers that are available SL scale yeah exactly here right so so now we're going a little bit deeper Greg Dortch, Michael Wilson, Demario Douglas, Ja’Lynn Polk, Javon Baker right with Arizona and New England Greg dorch Michael Wilson for Arizona Demario Douglas Jaylen pul Javon Baker for New England here are these number six wide receivers now number five Jamie froze there for a minute uh Dave are these number five number six wide receivers we're talking about they are exactly that and they are also players that you can take late and if they don't perform for you early on uh they're are they're GNA be on your bench I don't think anybody's starting Greg dorch week one but if if they are on your bench they're not doing anything they're seeing four targets a game you can move on from them you might double back for them off the waiver wire at some point I already said earlier in the show that the Patriots offense really doesn't get me excited I think pulk might be able to lead their receivers and targets this year Douglas could lead their receivers in targets it could be close and neither one of them will even be like 12 or 11 PPR points per game Arizona's a little bit different and that the coaches seem to be really buzzing about dorch if he's going to be their slot guy um maybe he's their he maybe he's their number three in targets behind Harrison and McBride I don't know how much will be left for him after those first two guys I want that do I really want that because at least in New England I've got the chance of getting the number one receiver I don't even think I have a chance to get I don't think I have a chance of getting the number two receiver with dorin Wilson in Arizona I we might be wasting time talking about all of these receivers because I don't know if any of them can create any consistency because they're just in in situations Arizona is more of a situation New England situation plus just the offense in general that really isn't gonna like create opportunity for huge fantasy points without somebody getting hurt and I know that Jaylen pul might have or Douglas you could pick either one of those guys in New England they might have a huge opportunity to step up and put up really good numbers this year if they do it early on in the year I'll be happy that I drafted them but I I view Douglas as a guy that's going to be right around 10 or 11 PPR points per game I think pulk can be around the same I'm not sure that without touchdowns Wilson will even be double digits and dorch might be close to double digits but not in that I don't think he's catching five balls for 70 yards every week so as far as late round for these guys uh they don't get me excited in a traditional 12 Team league 14 Team league though it's a different story 10 PPR points as an average is not bad I'll I'll take a look at them I believe I'm taking Wicks ahead of everybody that we've talked about in the last minute uh except for pulk pulk is close to Wicks okay and then Jamie has two sleeper tight ends Tyler Conlin who has three straight seasons of 87 Targets in 17 games uh he's never scored more than three touchdowns in any of those Jamey's TE Sleepers: Tyler Conklin, Hunter Henry Seasons right that that's a problem but here's Here Comes Aaron Rogers and uh Hunter Henry who I think is also on your sleepers list I think we have a little bit too many patriots pass catchers on our sleepers list but being honest with you here that's fine the reason why they're on there though is because you can find them in the late rounds and there are some positives let me tell you what I've got on Hunter Henry I actually think it's a good situation for him with jacobe brasset under Center brassette has a career 27% rate of targeting his tight ends uh between 27 and 32% every year except 2020 when he was in Cleveland in 2022 he was with Alex Van Pelt 27.1% of his targets at tight ends nooku had almost 11 PPR points per game in nine games with jacobe brassette and we've I just got done ranting about PK and Douglas and they could both be decent for the Patriots I I don't know if this offense is going to revolve around them I think the easier option for the quarterback back at least to begin the year is going to be Hunter Henry and that'll go double in the red zone so we're talking about a tight end that we're taking late and drafts he might be your number two tight end you might start him week one but hunter Henry just as a streaming type of tight end I think that's where Hunter Henry fits into the fantasy conversation and I honestly I think you can get him in round 134 and if things break right for him meaning that the offense doesn't really cultivate a good number one wide receiver he's on the field a ton he sees an up ticking targets that that stays all season long that's the kind of guy that could be a sleeper to starter that helps your lineup EV every week I think that possibility is there for Henry who once upon a time was considered a top seven type of fantasy tight end not really on Merit though like that's the thing about Hunter Henry not on Merit certainly on talent and the opportunities when he was in LA were not bad yeah when he was in LA England and what happened not been in New England he's been there three years he's averaged 30 to 36 receiving yards per game um but and and actually he kind of transitions into Pat frith because I feel like Pat frith is sort of the new Hunter Henry and I know he's one of your sleepers I'd rather have F Muth than Henry yeah of course you would um but uh it's another guy where I feel like he hasn't really done that much in his career except he caught just like Henry he caught some touchdowns as a rookie but uh people are hopeful for him I I get it though I get it so Pat Fri m is what tight end what for you in your rankings I believe he's 12th and again he's he's in that same type of conversation as a streaming tight end someone that you'll begin the season with and be non-committal but who's the number two wide receiver right now in Pittsburgh I don't know I I know Pickins is number one I don't think van Jefferson is gonna be number two I don't think Calvin Austin could be number two I know they're thinking about making a trade I don't know if that's going to happen and until that does happen I think fire Muth is that number two option so it it's really just it comes down to can you what what can a tight end that you're drafting late do for do for you okay like I view Tyler Concklin as more of like a like if if he doesn't score a touchdown are you even getting 10 PPR points from him how often has he done that well that that's what I like Tyler Conlin to me 10 PPR points I don't know but four for 40 some weeks which is that yeah I can't get excited I'm going to go look for somebody else getting excited about that I'm not but it's not terrible it's not you know it's a it's a floor that's not going to SN you at tight end okay and so I look at far Muth I think he's got a higher floor I think he's got a much higher ceiling I'm not Dave I just to be clear I'm just making it clear to the audience same thing with hun Henry I think that he's got just as good of a floor if not a better floor than cockin with a higher ceiling than cochan yeah frith is in a different I'm taking them ahead of Caan yeah f is in a different discussion than Tyler Conlin like for sure um not trying to not trying to make any bones about that all right uh other Sleepers for Dave will Lis Rico D chuper chuba hubard discuss them although I guess we didn't really Dave's Sleepers: Josh Palmer talk too much about D but we'll get to them on the breakout show Josh Palmer I wonder if he's the the best name on either list basically like is he the I think Dow's gonna go ahead of him I think so tose going ahead of him going head of Josh Palmer anyone else that we've talked about today chuba shanet Chandler Gibson Curtis Samuel Kalo Shakir Romeo dos Davian Wicks dorch not the Patriots guys not the Cardinals guys uh Palmer I can tell you right now on R ADP Blake corm is going like 10 picks ahead of Josh Palmer Palmer is buried in radp is khil Shakir going ahead of him uh he actually is not Palmer's at 133 Shakir is at 134 dobs in between them at 133.33 three33 here's what I like about Palmer he's the healthiest receiver that the Chargers have right now uh the Chargers are having a a Big Time battle for their number three W out between DJ CH and Quinton Johnston I don't know if it's going to matter which one of those two guys ends up being the number three receiver I think that there's going to be two reliable targets for Justin Herbert once Herbert's back on the field it's going to be makoni and it's going to be Palmer and I don't know if I NE of them are going to be hyper efficient downfield guys I think they're going to be short area targets they're both good route Runners and I know that everybody's worried about the foot of Justin Herbert he'll that'll get better and I what what I'm really hoping for is that that offensive line plays really well it needs to play to the expectation that their coaches have because they're trying to build through that line what this offense will be and there are going to be games where Herbert doesn't throw you know 35 times or anything like that but if there's a concentration of targets between those two guys and you can't really name a third guy Hayden Hurst isn't going to be the third guy CH Johnson whatever I I think that there's a realistic possibility that both makoni and Palmer could register seven targets a game and you're getting Josh Palmer round 10 or later and I think he can be serviceable certainly better than those Patriots receivers and definitely better than those Cardinals receivers and is he better than those Packers receivers not not the first two but I think the that Palmer we won't have questions about playing time Target share and that's that kind of stuff with Palmer like we might end up having for dobs and Wicks so I'll take Palmer ahead of dobs and Wicks all right hi Jamie hey internet internet uh giving you a hard time yes one of those days so four other Sleepers for Dave that I haven't seen on a lot of other lists we got Tyrone More Dave's Sleepers: Jalen Tolbert, Bucky Irving, Jordan Mason Tracy Jordan Mason it's Parton me Bucky Irving how about those three running backs Tyrone Tracy Jordan Mason Bucky Irving and then Cowboys receiver Jaylen Tolbert Tolbert is a play in case CD Lambs hold out goes a lot longer than expected and he's had some rave reviews in Camp and did not play or did not get a Target I'm not sure if he played in their first preseason game so that's just a round flyer that I'm doing some work on and we'll see maybe he can end up being their number two receiver this year in Dallas that would be mildly interesting to take with one of your last two or three picks on draft day uh Brian Dell today came out and said that Tracy's doing a better job in pass protection I think he's setting himself up to be the passing Downs back for the Giants that's a team that's probably gonna be passing a lot this year and if if he can do well there and maybe do better running the ball and he could have better efficiency than de Devin Singletary maybe Tracy's the one that helps get this gets this run game back on track and I know Eric gray looked great in the preseason game and he might end up mattering too there might be too many running backs there but Tracy is someone who I think has the profile to be uh maybe the floor of what Tai J Spears was last year in Tennessee and that's not great it's not gonna be something that fantasy managers will absolutely have to have on their fantasy team oh no Dave what not even joking what Tyrone Tracy just went down untouched on a kickoff return car oh putting on an aircast no like I said you don't want to touch Tyrone Tracy he's not gonna be good for your fantasy team no that's ter but that will open the door to start talking about sleepers and Eric gray and uh Dante Miller is another guy and they maybe they enter the frey as another team that looks for another running back great so that really stinks while I was talking about Tyrone Tracy man Cur is that the biggest jinx or what the biggest Jinx I now want to spend seven minutes on Adam AER oh God Adam AER is this amazing host on fantasy football today okay looks like a major injury for Tyron Tracy's Corner Dan Dugen he muffed the kickoff and his right ankle lower leg appeared to buckle as he reach for the ball they imately an aircast on his right leg and C him off that sucks damn it all right Dave we gotta wrap things up here Jordan Mason and Bucky Irving uh every other every running back in San Francisco is hurt right now except for for Jordan Mason and he had a good camp before the injury started to take place I I entered the preseason thinking that they were going to Showcase Mason for a possible trade now they might end up needing Mason to be the early season backup to mcaffrey it's the only reason why you would take him with a late pick Bucky Irving started for the bucks played the majority of snaps with the First with the quote unquote first team in their first preseason game Camp reports have been good on him I think Rashad White's still going to be the Far and Away top touch guy for Tampa Bay but I think IR is going to be the running back behind him and he's kind of in that same mold as Tyrone Tracy where a good pass catcher out of the backfield and can make guys miss by the way you had Jaylen Tolbert on their list for the Cowboys did he just get hurt too no no okay do you know what movie the line is that you Tolbert is from anyone is that you tobert I'm hung over no okay we'll see if anyone in the chat gets it I bet they do um what about Brandon Cooks I because I I take him as like my last pick I know he's not sexy but caught some touchdowns last year no is he a touchdown or bust receiver probably but maybe he's better this year who knows I mean look all all these guys are on the table if CD lamb is out you know so if he misses any time it's Tolbert it's it's uh Cooks it's you know Julio Jones so they'll probably sign you know I mean they'll be scraping the bottom of the barrel major league is the answer that's when Tom baringer Jake Taylor gets the phone call that he's being invited to Indians camp and he says is that youer say if you gonna pull this crap at least you could have said you were from the Yankees that's a hell of a pull by you oh come on I I know I know like every long could write that script right now if I if I needed to um the heater get in the heater that's uh that's it for today's show butt Joe boo we we've got uh busts tomorrow and we're going to try to pull off four breakout episodes one for each position they'll be shorter episodes about 20 minutes each with guests from around the industry we'll talk to you tomorrow on fantasy football today [Music]
